Meeting under the sun [Private with Kyht]

It was a warm summer day for the Lightwings. The sun was shining brightly on the steps to the Palace, heating the marble rather nicely. Many dragons would find that annoying, but certainly not the Lightwings who usually saw such days as the perfect ones. After all what was better than laze under the sun to recharge one's scales or breath?
While Hyruu didn't need recharging for his scales, and didn't really used his breath either, he was still enjoying the calm beginning of afternoon on the main Plaza. The grey dragon didn't need much of a pretext to simply lay down there, enjoying a light nap after a day of work. As the Tribe's main Hunter, he usually was hunting early in the morning as it was when the preys were the easiest to catch. And no one enjoyed hunting under a heavy sun and heat. Hyruu's rhythm allowed him to hunt in the morning and enjoy a relaxing nap during the afternoon.
Ironically enough, while he wasn't making anything to hide himself his natural scale color was pretty close from the marble's color. It would be easy to miss him sleeping in a corner of the place.

Kyht let out a sigh of relief, nuzzling his shoulder to reassure herself of him being ok. She did remember they were on a hunt, but noticing the time of day, and embarrassingly enough how much her own scent was strangely more vivid, she felt it would be nearly impossible to properly hunt. "Ruu... should we head back? I'm so sorry for ruining the hunt..." Kyht felt a pang of guilt as she said it, and let her wing fall from Hyruu's back and she stopped her pressing against him.

Hyruu felt his heart miss a beat when Kyht nuzzled his shoulder, trying his best not to make it appear on his expression. He was regaining control, but for some reason any action from the dragoness was making it harder. He nodded as she suggested stopping the hunt for today. It was indeed starting to get around noon, and at that time the beasts were too alert for a proper hunting. Especially with the state Hyruu was currently in.
"Yes, we should try again tomorrow. And don't worry, this was my fault. I have now no doubts left on your ability to hunt. You're a great solo hunter, I feel you'll mostly need learning for how to hunt in pairs or more. As well as, of course, the other part of a hunter's work. But we'll deal with that later. Let's get back to the palace." he said, smiling at her this time more warmly.
He didn't consciously realized it, but something else was helping him be calmer. A sweet scent was in the air, one that made him happy for some reason. It didn't occur to him it was the smell from the dragoness herself, as he sure could smell it but didn't make the link with his calmer state.

Kyht let out a sigh of relief and she stepped away from Hyruu and looked at him expectantly, assuming he knew where to go. She may have been a good tracker, but she so far had never had to make her way back from anywhere she left. She had, yes, had to return home, but that was a walk, and there were very obvious routes there. Out here, Kyht was only in her element tracking something. Getting somewhere was very difficult, and even getting to lightwing territory took weeks. She was almost a little worried, but Hyruu's presence and his warm smile kept her content and she found herself beginning to look deep at his eyes, losing herself almost. Had she been any more tired she would have leaned into him with how much she was looking into those comforting golden eyes, a warm smile playing along her mouth as her advercly disgusting mutations of eyes stared back, somehow filled with a sweetness you wouldn't expect to see in a nightmare.

Hyruu's look crossed Kyht's for a split second, but something made him look back at her eyes. Something in her look had changed since before, but he wasn't able to tell what. Kyht's look was... Sweeter ? Calmer ? Less anxious? More relaxed? It was hard to say, but just by this look, the grey dragon could tell something : Kyht was feeling better. And that simple fact made him smile before he broke the eye contact.
"Alright, let's go then." he announced, walking away.
He glanced back to make sure Kyht was following, and thus began their walk back to the palace. It was relaxing to have a walk without any talk, as if the two of them didn't need it. A few glances was enough to maintain a sort of contact, and Hyruu caught himself smiling through the whole trip. He wasn't smiling that much usually... It probably was knowing he helped Kyht in some way. Yeah it was surely that.
