Tutoring Lessons (Private Arkhor

It was a late summer day, and Rayla was out being taught by none other then the tribe lieutenant himself, and her own father, Arkhor. Rayla, wanting to eventually grow up to become the tribe leader, watched Arkhor's every move as he presented himself to her, not that she hadn't seen him every day of her life before, though. She was extremely interested in learning how to do stuff, such as hunting things and fighting. She was very interested in fighting. After all, Rayla was nearly fourteen years old now, and she would be given her rank when she was eighteen/seventeen. She was simply beaming with excitement and the possibility of becoming the leader of the tribe. Her tail whipped back and forth and her paws darted out in front of her with impatience as she watched her father approach her. He had been SOOOOOOO busy lately, and the young SeaWing barely got to spend any time with him any more. Rayla hoped that today she would be learning important stuff, such as how to fight, and how to hunt like the most beloved of pros. That was why she let out a shrill screech of happiness and started bouncing all over the place when she saw her father, leaping over to him and circling around him several times, before finally calming down and sitting down in the sand, her eyes wide, and her tongue lolling, her paws bouncing up and down. She could hardly control all of her energy, especially when she was excited as she was. She yipped at Arkhor a few times, bouncing on her hind legs, before she fell backwards and quickly picked herself up again, her tail wagging like a dog's.

After the failed attempt of counter attacking Rayla, he noticed her dive underneath him, scratching away at his underbelly. The pain was uncomfortable, knowing that Ray had made a big mistake he lowered his body attempting to trap her under his weight. Also using his tail to help block her escape, Ray would have to act fast, which would be difficult as she was clearly on her back with very limited space. Smirking towards her he spoke "Never limit yourself, making hard to escape tricky situations"

As Rayla realized her mistake, she almost cursed under her breath. Almost. She didn't want to let her dad know how frustrated she was, nor herself for that matter. Instead, she would go on seeing this in a challenge. She thought the stomach was the softest and weakest part of the body, so, of course, she had gone there. Turns out that quick assumption hadn't been correct, but quickly choosing weakspots was a good skill to have, since the dragon could quickly pick out a spot they determined was weak and aim their. Now would be a good time to make a good decision, and very quickly, before her father fell on her. Watching her opinions very closely, Rayla, instead of running, decided to do a new plan.

Instead of running, Rayla quickly stuck her tail into the sand, rolling herself onto her back, and unsheathing her claws, facing upright. Before Arkhor landed on her, she picked all her paws up, digging her claws into his stomach as he landed on her, and holding him up painfully, before she opened her mouth and released a jet of water, buffeting him in the stomach. This water was also mixed with ice shards, and was freezing cold, colder then the land at the IceWing palace. And mixed with the cuts in his stomach, it would be painful to any ordinary dragon. But Arkhor was a semi god, and could take on more damage then a regular dragon.

Within a few moments from lowering his weight, he felt a sheer cold blasting at his vulnerable underbelly's scales, roaring from the pain he jumped high into the air, using his wings to roll himself in the air grabbing her, as he releasing her claws another growl of pain followed, as he landed back onto the ground he threw Rayla away from him or something, awaiting for another strike.

Rayla was thrown across the ground, growling as she dug her claws into the sand. She had found this an effective way to stop herself from slipping. Unfortunately, she miscalculated, and slipped at the last moment on some wet sand, probably caused from the ice she had previously used to get her father to slip, and barreled into a palm tree, causing some blood to swell up on her forehead and back. At this point, blood from her father and herself were littered across the floor of the sand. Snarling, Rayla shot some ice/water slurry mix and her father, in an attempt to get him disorganized while she tried to get herself organized. She had done so on her side, so the trejectory of the blast may be off, and might not land on its decided target.

Ark checked his underbelly really quick noticing his scales had partially frozen, also blood was dripping from where Rayla had dug her claws in. Suddenly he glanced back towards Rayla he noticed she started to fire an ice like water at him, within a few moments he gained a water shield covering the jet of ice coming towards him. "Rayla are you alright?" he asked, clearly concerned that she was pushing to hard.

"Ye-yea! I'm fine and dandy!" Shouted Rayla, not being sarcastic at all as she lifted herself up, shaking her head back and forth as she felt adrenaline pump through her veins, exercised by that sudden excitement. Rayla glanced at her shoulder, blinking at it. She had rarely ever seen blood before, only very rarely on her father when he came home from doing his daily work around to get food for the family and for the tribe. Once Rayla had fallen from a high spot and had bruised her back, and blood had been seen from there, but that had been the only time she had ever received a very serious injury. It made her feel...... high, of a sort. It gave her energy, and made her want to keep fighting for someone. It was almost as if some invisible power in her had woken up at the sight of blood, almost as if the smell was like an energizer to her never ending supply of energy that never seemed to run out.

Smirking, she flicked her arm, splattering the blood aside, and taking a stance, shaking her tail back and forth as she looked over at him. She wouldn't stop until he was out of breath and bleeding. Then she would prove to him that she was just about as good as a fully fledged guardian that she one day wanted to be.

Ark shook his head slightly, letting out a sigh and responded "Don't push to hard, other wise you will tend to make mistakes" as he watched her he noticed that she was bleeding, but it didn't seem to phase her one bit, this was a good sign but being cocky and pushing too hard would only end badly. For a few moments they where locked looking at each other waiting for the other to make a move. Ark chose to get things going again, as he launched a jet of water towards her. Smirking he awaited for her next move.

Rayla watched as the water shot toward her, her eyes narrowing, her body trembling as she got ready to dodge. She then leaped out of the way, the water scaling her tail, and catching on her fin, causing her to spin and lose her balance a little bit, and causing her to slide dramatically in the easily-manipulated sand, causing her to slide into the water with a splash, and making her shake her head. Well, that was certainly unexpected. Unfortunately, she had slid in right as a big wave was about to hit her, and she yelped as the salty water fell on her, pulling her back into the water, almost like some sea creature. Because Rayla was a SeaWing, it didn't really effect her, but the shock of the wave hitting her so unexpectedly did. Quickly, she sealed off the way she breathed air through her mouth, and opened up her gills, shooting into the water, feeling much faster then she had been on land. She circled the island several times, waiting for her father to make the first move as she watched him from the water

Ark watched as she rolled down towards the water, getting submerged from a large wave crashing against the beach. Walking over he spotted her in the water watching him, clearly she wanted to fight in the water. Knowing that it would be a good idea for her to learn about using water as an advantage so he dived in following her in the warm waters. As he submerged he transformed into his underwater state, as he fins expanded he swam closer to Rayla and spoke, "Lets do some underwater fighting then, don't worry I will fight fair" Smirking he darted his tail towards her to start the fight. Knowing that she was smaller than him, no doubt she would use her speed and agility to fight.

Quickly, Rayla dodged, managing to avoid his attack altogether this time. She swam through the water, speeding circles around Ark, and gradually creating a whirlpool. Since Ark was a semi god, he was more used to them then a regular SeaWing. The whirlpool was simply to blind him, similar to what Rayla had done on the sand. It had worked, so why not just try it again. As she spun around in circles, the water around Arkhor began to get colder, and tiny shards of ice started to appear, lodging into Ark scales and agitating them.

As he growled from the pain bubbles arose from his mouth, following up with a spin to stop the whirlpool, he launched his left claw towards Rayla, hoping for a hit but following up with a tail swipe. He watched as Rayla dashed around him, he was gald to see that she was using water to her advantage. As he awaited for her next strike he watched carefully preparing himself.

Growling, Ray was suddenly hit, sending her flying through the water. The bleeding had increased because of the cold, and was no agitating her, and she let out a breath, causing bubbles to storm out of her mouth as she swallowed a mouthful of water, growling in pain. She wasn't exactly sure how much longer she would be able to keep up with her father's experience.

As Ark watched as she was sent flying through the water, noticing that she was bleeding quite badly. He swam to her and spoke "Well done, but your bleeding quite alot. That will do for today." nuzzling her with his paw his healing powers activated radiating around Rayla. Within a few moments her wounds where healed, "You feeling better? ready to go back?" he asked with a smile

"Y-yea...." Said Rayla, nodding her head up and down as she began to lose breath. Man, this training stuff was a lot harder then she had originally thought, thought Rayla as she swam over to her father, awaiting his assistance in tending to her wounds. Since he possessed healing powers, it would be easy for him to heal her up.
