Astral VS Kokoro: Battle for the SkyWing Throne

Phantom sat at the top of a ledge peering down on an arena that was lit with only torches. It was a large cave, with the moonlight completely sealed up, but it had enough space for flying. In the middle was a few slabs of rock that stuck out, while the water sloshed against the pillars, threatening to drown the competing dragons. Astral and Kokoro had been caught in a battle for the SkyWing throne. Kokoro was the Lieutenant, so she was supposed to be the rightful Queen of the SkyWings, but Astral had apparently come and decided to challenge her. They had both asked Phantom to set up an arena for which they could battle in, with as less advantages as possible. Phantom had complied, but was a bit hesitant, because it could get both of them killed. But nevertheless, she did what they asked.

Now, the two female dragons were gathered, one on a slab of rock, and were ready to start. Phantom flew off from her perch, and down towards the arena, where she hovered above the two dragons. "Astral and Kokoro," she said. "You two will now battle until one knocks out the other or one forfeits! Let the battle begin!"

As Phantom signaled for them to fight, Kokoro automatically flew up into the sky, keeping her gaze fixed onto Astral. This arena was quite large for just the two of them...She wondered why Phan made it so large though. She wouldnt know not until the fight ended, cause then she could ask away her questions...That is if she was still alive, if Astral would not kill her in her short life. As this fight had just begun, Koko knew that Astral was a goddess and it was indeed possible for Astral to kill her. Hopefully not in cold blood....Ko would want this to end with mercy. If either of them are wounded she would just hope both of them had the enough courage to show how merciful they both were. Perhaps even to give the other the Throne of the Skywings.
However, she thought again...If Astral was to so quickly grab the throne before her, then she could imagine Astral wanting the throne still after this battle. At least this Phantom agreed to create this arena for the two to fight out who gets it, so Kokoro can try to become Queen.
Now, as Ko was hovering over the solid ground, she had to plan out what she was going to do to her opponent. It had to be fast thought out, though...Which was fine, maybe she could cause a distraction.  How about flying fast around her to cause a tornado? Except....Astral was a Skywing. She would easily know how to get out of it, dodge it, or blow it back at her. What else then? This fight just began and Koko didnt want to tire herself already. Perchance her best bet was to wait until Astral made a move.

This sucked. Though it was night Astral had been away from the moon and star light long enough that she didn't have its benefits. She couldn't summon meteors either because they were indoors and that would probably end up burying the both of them. If only she had direct sunlight she could end it before it barely began.

As the fastest SkyWing Astral would normally use her ridiculous speed to overwhelm her opponents with attacks while moving so fast they couldn't even track her. However she was fighting another SkyWing and though Astral was faster she wouldn't be able to end this easily. Heck she might not be able to end this. Kokoro was better than Astral at other things. Unlike the other gods Astral's weapon is her own body and in this aspect she had a large advantage if only she could get close and stay close. That shouldn't be too hard considering her speed.

Astral jumped into the air after Kokoro who was only about 30 meters in the air. Astral quickly closed the distance and just before getting into Kokoro's attack range she would bring her wings forward and completely halt her advance just in case Kokoro had a counter attack planned. If Kokoro did and followed through with it it would leave her open to attack right in Astral's range. If no attack was made then Astral would just continue hovering a few meters away from Kokoro. Astral wanted to see what Kokoro was going to do now.

Kokoro embraced herself as Astral appeared in front of her, though nothing occurred between them just yet. Astral covered herself perhaps in case Koko has an attacked prepared. Howerever, she did not....But that was a few seconds before Astral even got into her range, seeing how she blocked herself,  Kokoro's fighting instincts kicked in and she dropped below Astral, swiping at her unprotected feet.

There was a spectator assisting at the fight. Zephyros was sitting down on his seat, intently watching the battle. It was a crucial moment for the SkyWings. Kokoro and Astral were going to fight for the throne. SolarFlare has disappeared and Kokoro, as Lieutenant, was going to take his place. However Astral has decided to challenge the white dragon for the throne and Phantom herself has organized the whole event. Zephys knew that both Astral and Kokoro would be two excellent Queens. He wondered who was going to win the fight. They were both very fast. Kokoro was known to have an immense strenght, despite her small size. Astral had instead fire powers. Zephys was rooting for Kokoro. She was the first that has welcomed him in the tribe and, alongside SolarFlare, they have helped Zephys to become a great SkyWing Guardian. Whatever comes, Zephys was going to be loyal to the one that would win the fight. He knew that both Astral and Kokoro deserved the Queen rank and he wished there wasn't a struggle at all because someone would get wounded.

Arcke flies and and watches as they clash, seeing as his a new member he needs to learn from them but he is alittle weak compared to others in his current state

ASTRAL BE BACK MON!

The fight lasted through the night and into the next day unfortunately for Astral. The next day was a new moon. As soon as the sun blessed the earth with its light the effects of the new moon hit Astral. This was only her second new moon since she discovered she was a goddess. The first month she hadn't experimented with her powers much so the new moon didn't effect her but this month she had used her powers extensively, unaware there was a cost to be paid.

Astral had been in the air at the time when it hit her. It was so unexpected and hit so hard that she just fell from the sky as if suddenly fainting. Astral hit the ground hard with a loud thunk. Pain ripped at her from the fall, Astral gave only a weak groan in protest. Astral had no energy to defend herself it had been sucked dry. "I give up." Astral said in a faint voice. Black started closing in around her vision she passed out.

Kokoro was exhausted from the continuous fighting and was going to give in but the new moon seemed to have drained Astral's energy in time. As Astral plummeted to the ground, Kokoro flew down after her, not to attack her but to aid her. Astral said the words "I give up" and Koko couldnt help but feel pity. Waving her hand over Astral's face, it seemed to her that she fell unconscious. Now, Koko felt even more bad...Though, Astral did surrender...

Arcke got up from the stands and negates the effect of the new moon but literally covering it with the opposite waves, nullifying it ( scientific! ) although only 50% of it

Zephyros was intently watching the fight. Both challengers were powerful and it looked they would go on for days. Astral and Kokoro have almost the same speed and agility. So they were constantly dodging attacks without hurting each other much. Zephys could say the fight was becoming a little boring, but every minute was critical. The two were starting to get tired and a decisive blow would finally put a end to the fight. However the next morning something very strange happened. Astral suddenly fell on the ground. Zephys looked at the black dragon with wide eyes, a very worried look in his face. He hurriedly flew towards the black dragon to assure she was fine. A bad downfall like that would almost kill a dragon. Zephys had no idea what has happened. Astral had tons of energies to keep fighting, but she has weirdly lost all of them. Zephys landed down near to the black dragon. He heard she was giving up the battle. Then she collapsed. Zephys looked alarmed and concerned at the scene. He nudged Astral's body with his nose to check if she was still breathing. He used his paws to gently place the black dragon on his back, Astral's paws around his neck. So she coudn't fell during the flight. Zephys looked at Kokoro."Kokoro, I'm going to bring her to a healer." He told the white dragon. Now Kokoro was the Queen and Zephys was going to be loyal to her. He was happy about that because Kokoro was a close friend, though Zephys had great admiration also for Astral. The thunder dragon flew into the air with Astral on his back, heading towards the healer's den.

Silver had heard that Astral and Kokoro were battling for the SkyWing throne, though not wanting to leave his mate alone to deal with the chaos of the hatchlingpups he stayed at his family's den. After a long while the hatchlingpups had fallen asleep. He told Solstice he was going to his healer's den for a little while to check up on things as he had not been there for a while. It was a good thing he did, because not long after he got there Zephyros had brought Astral, wounded from the fight. He widened his eyes and ushured them in. He examined Astral, she mostly had minor injuries and a few moderate ones here and there. He got his medical herbs and remedies prepared, and began his healing.

Arcke watched as the damaged astral gets healed, Arcke simply flew away as he did nothing and just watched,

Astral's eyes slowly opened. Her whole body ached and she was nearly devoid of energy. She recognized she was in the medical area. The SkyWing medical area. They didn't have to worry about her soon as night came the wounds would heal up or so Astral thought. She still didn't understand why she was drained of energy, she should still have plenty.

With a great amount of effort Astral turned her head around the room. She knew the people who were around her. This was bad Astral needed to get out. She lost the fight for a reason she didn't understand. Astral couldn't stick around, she couldn't let herself stay with the SkyWings. Going for the position of queen was Astral's way of fixing her predicament and since she lost there was no other solution than self exile. Her loyalty was split and to fix it she would be loyal to no one. The rest of her life Astral would remain alone. Even Volcanis was chasing NightWings which in no way helped her identity issues.

Astral got up and tried to walk out but collapsed before she could get very far. Astral was embarrassed to have the others see her like this. As a well an esteemed warrior as well as tracker not to mention goddess this was just down right humiliating at least Astral felt it was. It was even worse she was stuck there forced to experience their reactions.

Arcke felt bad just ditching astral like that but as a newbie he can't really do anything, but as his mind drifted he accidentally rammed into a building

Zephyros anxiously looked at SilverWolf while he was starting his healing. "I don't understand what's happened... They were fighting when she suddenly fell by itself on the ground." The thunder dragon was himself puzzled and he gave a questioning look at the healer, wondering if Silver would find a reasonable explanation. Zephys was surprised when Astral woke up, showing to have still some energies. He was impressed by her determination and resistance. He looked at her alarmed when she moved towards the cave's exit. Zephys immediately placed himself in front of Astral to obstruct the entrance and to prevent her from leaving the room. He snarled at Astral. "What are you thinking to do?" He told her with a voice that sounded a bit rude, but Zephys was simply alarmed about her conditions. He didn't want she would do a reckless action. The black dragon collapsed another time. The effort was probably too much for a weakened and injured dragon. Zephys was worried for the black dragon and his voice from rude become more kind. "Stay here... We need to heal you." He told her with a whisper, nudging again her body with his nose to check if she was alive. Zephys didn't understand what was wrong with Astral. Why did she want to leave the healer's den without receiving cures? He didn't know what to think. Perhaps Astral felt ashamed to have lost the fight. That would make sense, considering that Kokoro has won due to a very strange event. The thunder dragon laid down next to Astral. His very large wing was ready to block Astral if she would try to stand up again. Zephys has promised, when he has joined the tribe, to protect and take care of the SkyWings with all himself. No way Astral was going to do other risky actions. Zephys would look at first a bit overprotective, but he was making sure that a member of the tribe would have all the best attentions possible. Zephys noticed that Arcke, a new SkyWing member, has left the cave alone. Arcke was very inexperienced and young, so Zephys was pondering to go after him and accompany the SkyWing trainee until the lairs.

Silver was almost finished with his healing when Astral woke, trying to leave the den. Zephyros blocked the entrance, thankfully, as he thought she was not well rested enough to be moving. He kneeled down when she collaspsed again, "you need rest, Ast." he said softly as he tried to get the rest of her wounds healed.

Even if Astral had the strength to move it seemed those around her wouldn't leave. She felt caged which was her number one fear. This only made her more panicky and want to get out more, however Astral was devoid of energy and decided to succumb to her captors slipping away once again into unconsciousness.

Arcke took a second to be awesome then time to go, he walked in slo motion so he still looked awesome he went to another mountain so he cool, part the white clouds! Hopefully none of the dragons saw him, OH NO HE WAS SIGHTED MISSION BAIL! Arcke shouted as he ran from the medical bay completely

Zephyros noticed Astral standing up again. She wanted to leave at any cost, but this new attempt resulted in her definitive collapse. Zephyros remained wide eyes, feeling anxious towards her conditions. The SkyWings were probably going to assist at the death of a tribe's member and Zephys would be devastated at that possible loss. Perhaps the black dragon was really intending to abandon the tribe, but the SkyWings certainly couldn't allow Astral to leave in those conditions. Zephys gave an alarmed look at SilverWolf, hoping the healer would finally have the chance to complete the medications.

Silver was almost finished with the healing when Astral had tried to leave again. He was just about to stop her when she collapsed again, and grew unconcious. He lowered his ears in worry and finished patching up the last cut. "Give her some time to rest, when she wakes up we'll let her go..." he said to Zeph, walking over to put his remedies and medical herbs back in their spots in pots and bowls he had asked the vulcan to make for him a while back.

Shyann had heard that there was a battle going on between Astral and Kokoro. "They were battling of who gets to be the queen.. Right?" she told herself, remembering what the rumors had said. She decided to take a look and found no one there. Shyann instead found another SkyWing, Arcke wandering around. She wondered what had happened. She decided to return to the tribe. As she went back, there were people in shock saying that Astral got hurt. Caring for her members, she went to the healer's den in a hurry. As Shyann entered, she saw the healer, SilverWolf, a SkyWing gaurdian, and Astral. "Hi, I'm Shyann, a newly appointed tracker. Anyways, do you want me to stay with Astral? I have nothing to do for the rest of the day, and I would gladly stay with her. Shyann told them. Then she looked at the gaurdian, "I saw someone still out there where the battle was.. I didn't really take a look at him cause I didn't know who it was. Are you going to take a look? I could tell you where the dragon was." She looked at them both, waiting for an answer.

It's a twist from assassins creed brotherhood tobuscus literal, basically Arcke was trying to look cool and walk into the medical bay silently but he got spotted so he ran and made a huge commotion with his escape, I was bored please ignore it guys
