Styrkur, Reborn From Ice Sultur10
Type of Character: Dragon

Personal Info
Name: Styrkur
Alias: N/A
Age: Adult
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Personality: Sytrkur is a noble creature, though it is a nobility forged through hardship and violence. The tundra, taiga, and mountainous home of the Icewings has made Styrkur a stoic but compassionate individual towards members of his own tribe. His awakening to strange creatures running amok and a lack of his own kind in places he remembers them being deeply disturbs him, with the entire situation being one that the dragon had never thought possible prior to his extended accidental hibernation. Their vanishing is also a point of confusion for the dragon as he searches for whatever is left of other dragons like him, scouring the frigid lands of his home with a desperation reserved for dire situations such as this. The hibernation has made him extremely hungry as well, as the need for food is great and makes him dangerous to any beast or human group that were to cross his path.
Fears: Styrkur holds a deep seated disdain and fear towards the Firewing tribe from his memories of their conflicts with his tribe, and as a result has a great desire to avoid fire at all costs. The terrible flaming breath of that tribe scorched much of his family’s home even if they themselves survived it for the most part, but he recalls the effects it has on those not fortunate enough to be protected from it. The smell of burning things makes him uneasy as it doubles as a human weapon, the small beasts a second concern for the otherwise stoic warrior; humans have a tendency to have unreasonably good ways of dealing with dragons and far more intelligence than any other prey animal, and tend to be vindictive to a fault. Humans he does fear on a very personal level, and would not hesitate to remove them from his sight should the opportunity arise.
Strengths: Hunting and fighting are two things Styrkur has next to mastered, having been trained to do such things for most of his life. He makes for a very dangerous physical fighter de to his sizeable physical power and uses it to overpower all but the most brolic of dragons, though can inflict wounds like no other tribe can thanks to hooked, jagged claws natural to the Icewings. These claws also make him excellent at clinging to rock and ice should he find a need to climb, with powerful wings to back him up should he need it.
Weaknesses: For all of his physical strength and decent knowledge on his homelands, Styrkur is by no means a perfect dragon. Having traded much of his time to learn how to do things physically he is incapable of utilizing the normal Icewing manipulation of frost and ice to any offensive degree and is instead restricted to using it in much smaller niche ways that cannot harm another dragon. He also may know much of his homeland very well but is very unknowledgeable of how to travel through Pyrria at large and can get very easily lost, meaning there is a high potential of ending up in a rival tribe’s territory. Styrkur is also not physically indominatable and has several weak points in his body; under his arms, behind his horns, his mouth, and his eyes all remain as weak points that a weapon could easily slide into.

General Appearance
Height: 67 feet
Scales: Thick and plated to deal with the cold; bone like in texture and color
Eyes: Glowing Blue
Appearance: Styrkur stands similar to a polar bear, with a four legged gait very similar to them. His paws spread out like one in a snowshoe with his claws gripping ice or rock as he walks, with scales coating his entire body to protect himself from blows or weather. His head resembles that of a large skull and his underscales the color of black ice to give him a very threatening demeanor. His front fangs lie outside of his maw while the rest lie within, sharpened on bone or rock when they need to be. Styrkur’s neck is not very long either and is relatively close to his body compared to other dragons, making him look somewhat odd; this purpose is very well served though, as another dragon is hard-pressed to go for his throat to kill him without leaving themself very vulnerable to cruel claw or jaw. The front of his body seems to have extra armor on it with his tail similarly armored for counterbalance, built for trucking through snow or trees as the need arises.

Tribe Information and Status
Tribe: Icewing
Inheritance: Purebred Icewing
Rank: Guardian
Family: Deceased after the Monster Incident
Mate: N/A
Hatchlings: N/A

Skills and Abilities
Normal Abilities: Styrkur possesses the ability that any purebred Icewing would have; extreme resistance to flame and frost, jagged claws, and a terrifying breath weapon of freezing cold. His breath weapon in particular is vicious due to its freezing nature and given his preference to be fighting up close, meaning frost bitten areas are very likely to be struck with hard shattering paw or tail. While Styrkur doesn’t entirely lack the ice manipulation of his kin, his is more restricted to using it in more defensive or utility manners as a trade for his well adapted form. This ranges from creating swathes of artificial mist with which to hide himself within to plates of ice armor if needed, and overall provides wider flexibility than the usual strategy of solving problems with ice spears; why use that when a normal spear works just fine?
Special Abilities: N/A
Combat Style: In a combat scenario Styrkur is very measured and patient. His large amount of stamina makes him confident he can attrition down most opponents his size, though larger targets present more of an issue. He is well attuned to his strengths and plays to them to the best of his abilities, and is smart enough to at least attempt to work around his own weaknesses.

Background
History: When the Monster Apocalypse first broke out, Styrkur was already long asleep. He’d been involved in the war between the Firewings and his own tribe and seriously wounded, and was subsequently sealed into magical ice to heal and keep him from dying. The healer who was meant to free him died soon after and his location forgotten, though not for lack of searching on his family’s part. The large dragon had seemingly vanished after a lifetime of serving his tribe as a protector and at the time was remembered fondly.

At some point during the Reign of Monsters, though, something stirred him. He wasn’t quite sure what it was, but suddenly realized he was staring at something that definitely wasn’t a dragon. The beast roared a challenge as he groggily got to his feat, easy prey for something so large. The fight should have been one sided in the monster’s favor, but a lucky blast of super chilled air froze its main weapon, its tail, dead in its tracks. It shattered it trying to stab into Styrkur again with it, howling in agony, as the slowly recovering Guardian did his best to finish the fight from there. He tore into it relentlessly for the first meal in decades, and ceased once he was finally sated.

Styrkur walked out into a world empty of dragons but full of monsters, and was extremely confused. The battles were like nothing he’d ever had before, each one testing his skill and honing him to a new much more hostile environment as he desperate searched for any sign of his family, of his tribe, of some sign that the tundras held more than screaming bats, terrifying ape like creatures, or whatever other abominations he stumbled across. And, s thought by magic, they vanished too. His voice howled at the gods as to where his ki had gone, angry and pained, and so confused as to where he was anymore. He’d found his ancestral home, and it was empty. The cave was filled with the bones of what he could only assume were his elders and parents and of monsters. Whatever had made the monsters vanish was far too late. The tundra seemed mostly empty still.

He’d keep searching. Somewhere his kind had to be waiting for him. He didn’t want to be the last of his kind.
