An Expanding Family (Private - Family)

9 Years after Ocean's first kids where hatched, Soon enough the pair had 5 more, named Rose, Kei, Dinnozo, Angel and Droplet. Lucikly Ark wasn't as busy anymore due to not being the lieutenant, giving him plenty of time to spend with the new family members. Only a few months old they had started to learn their movements. Sadly recently Ark's first kids had all but disappeared or decided to leave, this did effect him not knowing if they where safe, with Aari and Vaynad still missing he feared for the worst. Still he tried to focus on his other children soon enough their first batch would be fully starting their training.

It was early morning, a sharp cold air breeze entered the den. Ark lay curled up with his tail coiled around Angel providing comfort to the disabled hatchling. Meanwhile the rest all silently sleeping away between their parents. With the brisk air gently grazing his scales he awoke shivering slightly, as he opened his eyes he yawned trying to be quiet for the others, knowing that it was early he tightened his embrace creating warmth for the young ones. Slowly closing his eyes he noticed as one of the hatchlings stirred, turning his gaze he smirked at the sight.

Kei slowly blinked his eyes open to see Khor standing over him. He didnt know what was going on but he felt a bit choked. Ark had a concerned look on his face, and he knew something must be occurring. Without much knowledge of why, Kei nodded. His whole mouth felt dry, making him cough, which hurt his throat. Pointing to his mouth, Kei began to tear up. Everything within him felt dry and dead. He kept his gaze fixed on Khorry, hoping he'd do something to help.

Frowning he noticed Kei pointing towards his mouth, "Hmmm... you must be thirsty" beginning to think that his condition was like droplet's, glancing slightly to his left. Within his gaze an small like water orb formed, placing it close by to Kei's snout, "There, drink that should help" smirking his looked on curiously.

"That'd be great, I guess." he said, perhaps not enthusiastically enough. After all, his mother had promised.

Delph looked down with a frown. "I think he needs more than a drink, Dad. I think he needs a breath" he said, worried, an arm still clutched around Angel and he gently doused Kei's small gills with water, in an attempt to help his wheeze.

Angel meows pitifully, flailing about. She couldn't hear a word the others were saying, and hadn't been done with her fish yet. Mewling, she squirmed about, trying to get down to her fish.

Droplet saw Angel struggling, and rushed over. She gently bit her brothers arm trying to make him let go of Angel.

"Ouch!" he said, and let Angel down. "You've got a nasty bite, Drop." he half-praised, and climbed out of his nest to walk over to Adra. "Hey, Ad. Want to go out hunting later? We haven't played or done anything together for ages!" he asked flapping his large wings slightly, sending a gush of air circling in the cave.

He looked at his little siblings after that, worried. Some of them couldn't even go five minutes without water, and one was deaf. How long would they last in the big wide world? Delph gave a sad frown, and looked at his large blue paws, flexing his scaled toes, his claws scraping the ground.

Lifting her head from looking at the hatchings, Add a waved to those who greeted her. "Hi! Training is going good, Dad. It's cool to learn all of the herbs in case my powers fail me at some point," she leaned down, nuzzling Angel once before sitting up again. "I'd love to have hatchlings! It'd be sad to watch them grow up though. They're so cute when they're little!" Her orange gaze turned over to Delphin when he spoke to her. "Sure!" she said. "It feels like I haven't gone hunting in forever! I've been really busy with training." Her face then grew sad for a moment. "I had always though Aari would be training with me though." Absently, she fingered the necklace around her neck. It had been given to her by Luna, but she still had a habit of touching it whenever she was sad or worried.

Smiling from Adra's response, "Thats good to hear Adra, yeah I agree with you about being cute, but it doesn't change anything" Focusing back to Droplet & Kei he gestured towards the small pool in the corner of the den. "Once you guys have finished, go spend some time in the water, don't want you guys to feel uncomfortable." Soon enough he heard Adra's comment about Aari, this only made him frown towards her. As he crept up to her, he petted her with his paw, "Don't worry Adra, I'm sure we will find her. Just remember she's with her friend. Your doing a great job your sister would be proud" Nuzzling her with his snout.

Droplet gives 2 or 3 loud cheeps, disagreeing with her father telling her to go in the water. It was super boring there, and not fun at all! Her lights flashed, calling Ark her mean name: Squid Brain.

Kei was grateful for the orb of water, but he was also glad that there was a pool of it. Taking the small water orb with him, he hopped into the pool, and started splashing. His smile was large, signifying that he was enjoying himself. Glancing behind him, Kei squeaked out to Droplet, trying to tell her to join him in the pool, as daddy had said. He wanted Drop near him so that the two could play around, maybe even spray water at the others...

Droplet tilted her head, and gave a loud chirp, telling Kei that she was fine, and she didn't want anything to do with that disgusting pool. She shook her dad's ring off focus, daring to actually breath without her gills. This did not go well, for she immediately started coughing.

Ark soon got distracted by the noise coming from Droplet, only to frown when she started to cough again. Lowering his snout he shook his head from her reaction, "Come on Drop... you know its hard to breath without water for you" grabbing her with his paws, keeping his grasp firm so she couldn't slip out. Placing in the cool water close to Kei, "Don't worry little one, we can go out in the large pool later"

Her coughing soon stopped, and she looked up at Ark. A tiny squeak came from her, telling him she was sorry.

As Adra mentioned Aari his heart sunk. Rayla. He missed her so bad. Atleast he an Adra would now have some key bonding time while they hunted. He tossed his crab-shell into the small, pool, and said in aquatic, a language he was still getting to grips with, Here you go, practice your hunting. He then slipped out of the cave, and clambered up onto the rocks above, laying down on a smooth, heated stone warming his wings, listening to the cheeps of hatchlings inside.

Droplet watched her brother leave and walked to the entrance of the cave and cheeped, pointing outward with her talon.

Oceana just got up...late afternoon... She was TIRED. Like, very. After having 5 more hatchlings, she was done. She rose up from her sleep and walked in to greet her hatchlings and her mate. Licking Ark on the cheek she said, "Hiiiiii Ark! Or should I say good afternoon. How are my hatchlings?"

At Arkhor and Delphin's words, Adra nodded. Her eyes were still sad for the moment, but she picked her chin up and forced herself to smile. She was determined to be happy, even if it killed her. She couldn't go by completely sad for her entire life. "You're right," she said to both of them. "She'll come back. I know she will." With that, she smiled at the hatchlings one last time, then turned and followed Delphin out of the den.

Droplet saw her mother wake up, and jumped onto her. A loud squeal came from her, along with various cheeps.

Ark noticed Delp & Adra leave the den, frowning slightly as he saw Droplet point towards the entrance. "Give them some time Drop.." Suddenly he noticed Ocean enter the den area, smiling he returned the lick with a nuzzle. "Hey Ocean, They've had something to eat, you feeling alright?" he asked with a slight worried look.

It had been a long while since she had come back here. Fraya had gotten lost on one of her little adventures away from home. now she stood silently watching the place she had called home. The youngster wanted nothing more but to run into the den and tackle her Daddy. Tears started to run down her cheeks after a short while before she gave up on holding herself back. She dashed into her home and tackled her Daddy the moment she saw him. She had noticed hatchlings and was sure not to step on any of them. She smiled and went to sit on her dads back even if she was now probably
a bit large to be doing so "Daddy i'm home, sorry for not coming back sooner"
Fraya giggled while playing with his mane even if she couldn't hide in it any more.

Dinnozo, feeling incredibly bored, trotted to the edge of the cave. She watched the large rippling bluish-green stuff (she has no idea what it is) and narrows her eyes at it. The navy-blue baby dragoness bent over the side of the cave to get a better view of the huge object.
"Hrrrrrmmmmph!" she squeaked as she reared back up again and barked at the blue thing. It just ROARED. It made a sound! Dinnozo reared up to her hind legs and howled, "Kikikoooooooraaaaa!" She thought it was threatening her! Challenging her to a fight! Dinnozo howled a challenge once again.

Angel yawned. She suddenly felt dry, and crawled over to the pool, where she leaped in after Kei, tackling her sibling. Angel didn't hear her mother come in. Angel made a squeak underwater and swam into one of the little holes. There she found something quite unusual. It was jet black. Little did Angel know that this jet black rock chamber was actually where Mr. Flame and Rayla had once slept. Angel had never met Rayla, so she had no idea who that was. Curious, Angel crawled in the hole, successfully getting herself stuck. She yipped, but couldn't get herself free.

Delphin let out a long, lingering sigh. He then slowly inhaled the salty sea air, noticing Adra. "Oh, hey." Delph said with a wave of his scaly tail, heaving himself onto his feet and over to Adra. Steam slowly rose from his wide nostrils, giving him a FireWing sort of effect.

"Huh? What's that?" the dragon said, with a puzzled look on his face. Delph quickly swooped down into the den, and spotted Angel. Gently, he pulled her out and set her down in the water, and spoke to her in aquatic. "Careful little one!" he half scolded and returned to Adra.

This time, Droplet actually went outside, using the little of her water powers to make half a ring to go on one side of her neck. She followed Delphin all the way outside, every once in a while she tried to grab his tail, which led to her falling on her face every time.
