An Expanding Family (Private - Family)

9 Years after Ocean's first kids where hatched, Soon enough the pair had 5 more, named Rose, Kei, Dinnozo, Angel and Droplet. Lucikly Ark wasn't as busy anymore due to not being the lieutenant, giving him plenty of time to spend with the new family members. Only a few months old they had started to learn their movements. Sadly recently Ark's first kids had all but disappeared or decided to leave, this did effect him not knowing if they where safe, with Aari and Vaynad still missing he feared for the worst. Still he tried to focus on his other children soon enough their first batch would be fully starting their training.

It was early morning, a sharp cold air breeze entered the den. Ark lay curled up with his tail coiled around Angel providing comfort to the disabled hatchling. Meanwhile the rest all silently sleeping away between their parents. With the brisk air gently grazing his scales he awoke shivering slightly, as he opened his eyes he yawned trying to be quiet for the others, knowing that it was early he tightened his embrace creating warmth for the young ones. Slowly closing his eyes he noticed as one of the hatchlings stirred, turning his gaze he smirked at the sight.

In the nest sat Angel, the young SeaWing who had been born deaf. This meant she couldn't hear any of the other dragons, and had barely spoken to anyone since she had hatched from the egg. She now lay in the nest, asleep. Her sides heaved ever so gently as the soothing sounds of the ocean nullified her into a state of tranquility. Not that she could hear them, but being deaf helped her sleep, since she never heard any noise, therefore nothing to wake her up with loud noises.

Delphin was curled up in a far corner of the cave. He had been awake most of the night, staring blankly into space, watching his parents and new siblings. Adra and Fraya weren't beside him like they usually were, so Delph was alone. His nest was a beautiful one, wide and deep, with shells and shark teeth weaved into the willow twigs. On the inside was kelp, dry and soft, also moss and plenty of grasses.

Thoughts raced through his mind. Would they have time to spend with me? Will Mum have enough time to train me? He subconsciously gave a load huff of frustration, and flapped out of the den, over the sea to find breakfast for his family.

About 10 minutes later, he returned, and regurgitated two cods and carried a large crab in his claws for himself. "Breakfast is served." he announced loud and clear, before slumping off to his nest, cracking open the crab's shell and sucking out the meat inside.

Dropet was another one of the hatchlings. She stared at Delphin as he just ate the food. "Did you get any Octopi?" She asked, a small cough coming from her. Her little gills began to flare.

Having his head places between his paws, Kei kept his eyes open and gazed out at each dragon in the room. He was at the head of the nest that Arkhor had been laying, along with his siblings. It looked as if he was sleeping, yet he was just pretending. At this time of day, he wasnt hyper, he had woken up not long ago and he just felt like sitting in the nest, gazing out at his family. Kei would speak out, to start some chatter, but he couldnt speak. He knew some words, though for some reason he couldnt say anything of the sort. Blinking up at his daddy, Kei frowned, Khorry seemed to care a lot about his sister, Angel. He knew something was wrong with her, but yet again, he didnt know what. Sighing, he closed his eyes, brought his paws over his face, then rubbed his face against his paws, for no apparent reason.

Angel whimpered in her sleep, shaking her head and mewing pitifully in her sleep. Mane shook back and forth, and was shaking uncontrollably. She made grunts and wheezing sounds, crying.

Not long after he noticed Angel moving about in his tail he saw Delp leave the den, deciding not to follow he concentrated on the hatchlings as they began to stirr beginning to wake up (as he thought). Nuzzling each one, but frowning at Angel with her whimpering, he still didn't know what was really the issue with her. After all he worried about her the most. Soon enough Delp returned carrying sealife in his grasp. Smiling at him he replied "Thanks Delp, that should feed the little ones" shortly after grabbing the two large fish he turned his gaze towards Droplet who was coughing, During the past few months he figured out what was wrong with her, with it being her breathing. Smiling towards Droplet he gestured for her to come closer, soon enough he created a small water ring around her neck covering her gills making it easier to breath.

It was time to feed them, using his right talon he sliced up the large fish into small manageable chunks, using the skin almost like a plate holding the meat he cut it into sections making sure each hatchling had its fair share. Passing the portions around he nuzzled Angel who was still in his tail, while placing her meal close by.

As Arkhor placed the fishy meat in front of him, Kei didnt touch it. He enjoyed eating fish, but he just didnt want it. Pushing it away, Kei stood up and gazed at Khor. If he could scream out, he would. Glancing down in disappointment, Kei padded over to his older brother, Delphin. Taking a seat beside him, Kei prodded Delph with his paw, then pointed to his mouth, signalling to him that he wanted some crab, too. He titled his head, and made a puppy face, hoping that his brother would cooperate.

Droplet smiled at the ring, and the food. Sadly there was no octopi, but she was happy with what she had. She sighed and looked for her father's approval to eat, while after a few seconds playing with her pink fish-scale bracelet.

Smiling as he watched the others eat he noticed Droplet not eating frowning slightly he nuzzled her gesturing with his snout for her to eat. Turning to spot Kei not eating and moving over towards Delp, "Don't worry I can catch some other stuff later"

Angel smelled fish, and woke up, blinking curiously. Looking around, everything was blurry, an effect of her Myopia. Shivering, she mewed, waving her paws about, unable to find any of the delicious fish that was near her nose.

Turning his gaze back towards Angel, noticing that she couldn't find the meal for an unknown reason, he nuzzled her snout pushing her muzzle closer to the fish, "Go ahead Angel, eat up you will need your strength" of course talking to her was useless, moving his tail slightly so that the fish was closer.

Angel mewed, but didn't hear what her father said, and instead crawled over to the fish, eating them up happily. She completely ignored her siblings, since she couldn't hear what they were saying anyway.

Droplet began to eat the fish. She quickly finished the fishand laid back down, bored.

angel meows, eating the fish silently, before curling up on top of her sister, Droplet, for warmth. She newer, purring happily as she snuggled her sister adorably, not making a peep.

A large whoosh went through the send as Adra arrived, fresh from a training lesson. Before that, she'd been gone a few days on various off jobs, so she hadn't yet had the chance to get to know the newest hatching very well. Touching down, Adra folded her wings right to her sides, bouncing into the den. "I'm back!" she squeaked excitedly, bounding over to the Harkins and bending to look at them carefully. "They're so cute!"

Droplet looked at Angel, and really wanted to shake her off, but knowing the little dragon's disabilities she let her sister carry on.

Delphin let out a small smile, and sgregated a piece of crab for Drop. "Here you are." he said softly, all previous thoughts disappearing. "Hey, Adra." Delph greeted his sister as he lifted Angel into his nest.

"Don't worry, Dad. I can go out to hunt again later, you can look after these little terrors!" he joked, and ruffled Drop's little head gently, rolling onto his back and propping Angel up on his stomach, making silly faces. "Kei, would you like a little crab?" he offered to his brother, who hadn't eaten any.

Ark smiled as Adra entered the den, and chuckled slightly calling them, "You know in another 10 years or so, you may end up having your own too" smirking he glanced over to back towards Delp. "Thanks it would be helpful in less your mother returns" listening to Delp's offer for Kei he relaxed his snout on the ground, glancing over towards him, "Go on Kei, not often theres crab" Still he focused on keeping the water ring around droplet's neck, as he spoke to Adra "So how's your training going with Shine?"

He smiled at his father, before tossing the crab shell into the air and squirting short jets of water at it to keep it airborne. Eventually he formed a bubble around it, a fast flowing torrent of water keeping the crab fixed in place. That was something new he'd been able to do. Make water surround things and trap them. Pretty cool? He thought so.

"When will Mum start training me properly?" he asked to Ark, guiding the sphere down to his paws slowly.

Droplet gave her brother a look when he ruffled her head. She saw her father again, and ran towards him, cute cheep noises coming from her.

Dinnozo was dozing off in one corner of the cave when she unexpectedly-WHOOSH!- the hatchling disappeared and a pool of water did. She didn't mean to do it on purpose- she was having a nightmare about a big fish threatening to gulp her down, and her first instinct was to run off. However, she turned into water instead. The unhappy hatchling rose back up as a navy blue dragoness, chirping angrily. She staggered on her paws and stumbled down, hitting her chin on the surface. She yelped.

Droplet heard her sister yelp, and turned around to see her. Loud encouraging cheeps came from her mouth, telling Dinnozo that she'll be alright.

Kei gladly accepted the small bits of crab that Delph did give him. He ate it up without hesitation, and in just a few minutes was laying in Delphin's nest. Lying there, he gazed up at the ceiling of the den, and thought about playing with one of his siblings. Unfortunately, his thought was halted as he fell straight asleep, perhaps from the comfi-ness of the nest. During his nap, he began snoring, snorting, and weezing - all of which were a bad sign.

Gazed with slight shock as Delp, lifted the shell with his water abilities, smiling he replied "I'm not sure Delp.. If she's to busy I can always train ya, nice trick by the way" Soon enough Droplet was at his side, chirping away happily. Turning his gaze towards her, smiling he nuzzled her. Not noticing Dinnozo transformation but as soon as he heard a cry he glanced over to inspect. Chuckling slightly he gestured for him to come by his side, "Come on Din... lets have a look" As he arrived close by he started to hear almost weezing coming from Kei, frowning slightly with worry. Pulling himself to his feet he walked over, ignoring Dinnozo for the moment, lowering his snout he noticed that Kei was sleeping. Only moments later the weezing became worse, Ark gently nudged Kei with his snout. "Hey... You alright Kei? Do you need some water?" he asked with a concerned look.
