Turning Of Age (Private: Sibs, Atlas, Shine, Ocean)

Following after Aari rescue he though it would be good idea to start training the hatchlings to defend themselves, especially Aari, he was worried that she was too fearful. Since she had be captured she has become very attached to her father, not wanting to leave his side or to be left alone. Of course Ark didn't blame her after all who wouldn't have been scared being in that situation, he had to try to get her confidence back giving her more freedom. After all Ark wanted the best for his hatchlings and when they come to age to be part of the seawings and eventually finding a mate.

A few weeks after Aari's return he decided to teach them about the many roles they could take part in the tribe. He allowed the hatchlings to chose their own skill path, so he spoke to them, "So which role would you guys want to take?"

It had been a while since the kidnap of Aari. She was glad that the hatchling was back, but was worried if it happened again. She knew that Aari would never leaver her father again. But the hatchlings needed to be trainees soon. Oceana hoped that she could train one of them. The elite tracker decided to visit Arkhor and his hatchlings again. As she knocked lightly against the door, she entered, greeting everyone, "Hello Arkhor, how are you and how's Aari?"

Just before any of the hatchlings could speak, Ark heard a rap at the door, Ocean entered greeting Ark and the others, he replied "Hey Ocean, I'm good. Certainly after getting Aari back, she's fine most of the time she's hugging me" he laughed, his ears perked up as if the seawing had just thought of an idea, as he continued "Hey, since your an elite tracker could you talk about what you do for the tribe? Since they will be coming of age soon I thought it would be a great idea to see what roles they want to take" he smiled turning back towards the hatchlings and nuzzled aari's snout.

Oceana nodded. She wanted to train one of the hatchlings anyways. She turned to the four kids and Arkhor. "There are two jobs that I know of that trainees can do. One is gaurdian, which gaurds the tribe's borders. The other one, like me, is the tracker. They are all lithe, agile, and swim very fast. Using this method, you hunt prey for the tribe. Some common preys that I like to catch are fishes and tuna. On land, you can catch crabs and stuff like that. Atlantis promoted elite tracker, so I can start training some hatchlings soon." Oceana turned to Arkhor, "There. That'll help the hatchlings decide."

After Ark had told Aari all the different tribe rolls Aari quickly figured out which one she wanted to be. Shortly after Ocean arrived. At first the approaching dragon scared Aari and she clutched onto her father tightly. With her IceWing claws digging into him he would certainly feel it. As soon as she realized it was Ocean though Aari relaxed. Ocean then explained what trackers and guardians do. "I want to be a healer." Aari said in a quiet voice. She had changed much since her kidnapping and was a lot more shy and reclusive as well as skittish scared by the littlest things.

When Aari dug her claws, Ark let out a soft growl flinching he turned towards Aari. "Its alright Aari, its just Ocean" while nuzzling her trying to comfort her.

After listening to Ocean describing the roles, Aari mentioned that she wanted to be a healer, "Well of course you be a healer, I'm sure Shine would like an apprentice" he replied and smiled.

"I want to be lieutenant! Like you daddy!" exclaimed Rayla with excitement, bouncing around the walls as if she were on fire. She then skidded to a halt by Aari and bounced on top of Arkhor, her sharp icewing scales piercing deep into his flesh, drawing a little bit of blood as she did so. Her shark tail flicked back and forth as she crawled up onto his forehead, giggling. Once there, she continued, "And then I want to be the female leader of the tribe! I'll rule with an iron paw, and declare everyone gets free flounder on Thursdays!"

Ark again let out a soft growl from Rayla piercing his scales, "Rayla be careful, of course you can but you would have to prove yourself to others before you can rule" he smiled. "But sure I would agree with free flounder" he laughed.

There was soft rustling outside the cave, before Shine entered quietly, chuckling at Rayla's words. "My my, is someone going to try and challenge me for the throne?" She asked with mock menace, her green eyes glimmering with amusement. "I guess I have some competetion." She said, curling her tail around her paws, then turning to Arkhor. "You asked me to come?"
