From the Deep

Norketh woke up on the sea floor, he felt groggy as he slowly remembered where he was. It wasn't an area he was familiar with and he had taken refuge in an abandoned underwater chasm. There wasn't much around that he knew of where he could hide given his large size. Luckily nothing disturbed his slumber during the night and he felt good other than hungry. Norketh yawned and stretched and began to swim. These waters weren't as deep as the open ocean Norketh was used to, stealth was more difficult for him.

Yesterday had been one of the most eventful days for Norketh, he had finally after all these years found other dragons. The first contact went better than he expected, Norketh didn't have to fight or kill any dragons. In fact they all seemed very friendly, they wanted him to be a part of this Sea Wing tribe. Somebody actually wanted him around! It seemed too good to be true. Norketh was well aware appearances could be deceiving, this meeting today could be an ambush for all he knew. If was a trap so be it, it wouldn't be the first time a trap has been spread on him and all who have ambushed Norketh usually didn't survive long after. He would find out soon enough, Norketh was going to meet Shiningwater on the beach, where she would supposedly show him the Seawing kingdom. First he would hunt for breakfast. Unknown to him that something was watching him...

He spent a couple hours hunting, he managed to catch a few sharks and would probably have to go back out to deeper waters to hunt larger prey. For now however he would head to the cove where he landed yesterday to wait on his guide. The water erupted as usual as Norketh broke the surface, the massive dragon soon made landfall and lay down on the shore and waited. He growled to himself impatiently.

Korramyr had actually already been at the site, having heard word of the newcomer by the name of Norketh from Shiningwater and a few words out and about within his kingdom. He had kept himself hidden at first, not wanting to be seen in such a strange place completely alone. He actually popped headfirst out of the sand right infront of Norketh, shaking the loose specks of the sand off his head. "You must be Norketh," he sputtered as he climbed out of his self-imposed sandy prison. "I'm Korramyr - SeaWing King. I heard you may or may not be seeking audience with me?" As he spoke, he nodded his head in greeting and respect to Norketh, taking a step back. He snapped his fingers, a large tea table appearing between the two of them, Korramyr sitting across from Norketh, who now had a large seat that would accommodate the (( I assume )) large dragon. "Take a seat, let's talk a bit."

(( Also, I would assume Shine would be here? Like I said, I wasn't following the plot revolving around Norketh's arrival, so I'm trying to improvise with what information I have. ))

Shine swam furiously towards the beach, muttering something about broken alarm clocks and nosy guards as she went. She finally hit the beach with her nose, sending a large wave up on shore as she stopped abruptly. She walked up the shore, rubbing her stinging nose ruefully. She sat down next to her mate and picked up a spar Teacup. She filled it as she spoke. "Thanks for offering to join us, Norketh." She smiled happily. "I promise you won't regret it." She finished filling her Teacup and took a sip. She made a face like if you were to bite into an apple, only to find a worm as well and spat it out. She stuck her tongue out and emptied the sugar bowl into her cup before taking another sip. "Ah....much better." She said happily.

Chloe was one of the many dragons to meet norketh, infact she was the first, She landed in the ocean and swam quite speedly for a icewing to the shore, Her great (X10) grandad was an ancient seawing and his trates seemed to pass through her intire family, including speaking ancient seawing!.

Chloe finally got to the shore and shook the water from her scales and went to join the others, "Hello Norketh, Hiya shine, hey korramyr!" She sat down with the dragons and looked at what food there was, one was a fish "You dont mind if i have the fish right guys?" she said.

Sorry Chloe. He made it in the Seawing Tribe Rp, so it's Seawings only....I think. You'd have to ask him, but that's the way I interpret it.))

Sorry guys had graduation parties today so I'm sorry its a day late xD and sure Chloe you can come if it's ok with the other two.


It all happened so fast, a dark dragon came out of nowhere and began speaking to him. Norketh almost fell over in his startled state. He was about to attack when the smaller black dragon introduced himself as Korramyr, the ruler of the Sea Wings. Norketh could hardly believe it, this was the ruler? This dragon before him was not what he expected from the king of the sea wings. The dragon before him had a friendly disposition and seemed really laid back. But Norketh collected himself and again remembered that appearances could be deceiving. Then the dragon snapped his fingers and a table appeared from nothing. Norketh was speechless and he bit his arm to check if he was dreaming. Again Norketh was not used to this friendliness. Most living things he ran into usually wanted to run away from him, but this one looked up at him with genuine kindness. It was... weird.

Norketh growled and that's when Shine and Chloe showed up. It was morning and Norketh was already confused and overwhelmed. He forced his large body to try to sit at the table like the others. "So you are the actual sea wing king?" he asked.

"Of course I am. I don't have much else to do aside from try to organize my domain. I rather enjoy seeing new faces." He smiled as he spoke, gesturing for Chloe and Shine to sit with them. "Would you like something to eat, Norketh? I have muffins and cupcakes of many varieties and flavors - perhaps I have something you like." He snapped his fingers, and a massive platter of muffins and cupcakes appeared on the table. He pointed to a few, explaining what flavors they were. He had simple things like blueberry and chocolate, all the way to the more outlandish flavors like river salmon and iron ore-flavored muffins. "Take your pick."

Norketh was taken aback food started to appear everywhere and he wasn't dreaming. If this was a trap, it was the strangest he had ever seen. Norketh did his best to be polite. "I..um.. apologize, it's just that until yesterday I had never seen another of our kind until yesterday." He said calmly. "I was promised a safe haven and a tour" he looked towards Shine.

"Were you now? My apologies, friend. I... wasn't informed too much about what the plans were. I was just told to be here." He smiled, laying back in his seat, staring over at Norketh curiously. "You will have your tour though. We could go now if you wanted." He cocked a brow in curiosity, looking over to Shine.

Norketh listened to the Sea Wing King and watched the others eat at the table. "Yes I would like you to show me now. But before you do I want to make my terms clear." Norketh leaned his large head towards the Korramyr. "I have lived my entire life free in the ocean, if you are looking to make me a servant that will not work out very well for you. I value my freedom." Norketh looked at Shine again then back to Korramyr. "I'm looking for a place to call home and since these are your waters I will respectfully follow your rules." Norketh paused for a moment, then continued. "If this place is truly what you claim, then you may count me as an ally. But if this is all a trick or a trap then be warned I will fight for my life." The large dragon gave them a serious look. "And powers or no powers I will kill you if you betray me.." he growled. Norketh meant no disrespect but he needed them to know he meant no funny business and he knew he could keep his word if there were.

Shine nodded back to Korramyr. "Sure! We can leave now!" She turned her head back to Norketh. She listened in respectful silence as he listed his terms, and she nodded inwardly to herself, We can do that. Easy. We already follow all of his terms. She spoke out loud again. "I promise, we have not deceived you, and if you like what you see, we shall welcome you with open arms." She smiled kindly and stood. "Shall we?"

Cautiously, Shine turned to Korramyr. "We better not show him the slave mines then...." TOTALLY KIDDING. PROMISE. 

((Yeup.....*sigh* Still lazy...))

"We shall." Norketh nodded back and waited for them to lead the way. They seemed genuine but he still had to be sure.

Korramyr patiently listened to Norketh's words, nodding between his pauses. "I understand you value your freedom, and I would be a bad king if I were to try to take that from you," he would finally say when Norketh and Shine were finished, rising out of his seat. With a snap of the claws, the massive tea table was gone, and they all found themselves standing on all-fours. "Shall we be going then?" He smiled, walking over to the shore of the sea, looking over his shoulder at Norketh and Shiningwater.

The whole thing of tables appearing and disappearing out of thin air still left Norketh a bit unnerved. "Lead the way." he said as he nodded towards the Sea Wing King. Norketh waded back into the waters. So far they seemed genuine, but why was did he still feel like danger wasn't far behind? Norketh did his best to shake off his paranoia. He swam behind Korramyr and Shine as they made their way towards the Sea Wing capital.

Atlantis was hunting near the coast. He catched a big salmon in his jaws, anticipating some sharks. "I'm sorry, but this prey is mine." He told them before to swim away, devouring the fish in a matter of seconds. Atlas noticed not so far Korramyr, Shine and a gigantic seadragon. Atlas approached the group "Heya" He cheerful greeted them before to look at the enormous dragon. "You're Norketh, right?" He smiled."I'm Atlantis. Atlas for friends. Let me to say you're the first seadragon that beats me on dimensions." He joked before to playfully swim around the three dragons.

Norketh saw another blue dragon come out of the blue. The other two didn't panic so he resisted the urge to attack. The new dragon greeted them and introduced himself as Atlantis. He even knew Norketh's name. "I guess news travels quickly here." Norketh thought to himself. Norketh was still not use to friendliness. He attempted to be polite, "Yeah that's me. Uh nice to meet you Atlantis..and I guess?" He watched the other dragon swim around care free. "Nailed it" he thought to himself, proud of his own greeting. "Are you another Sea wing?"The giant dragon asked.

"The pleasure is all mine" He answered with a smile. He curiously looked at the gigantic dragon. Atlas was surprised to have never met a enormous dragon like Norketh during his travels. The oceans were really huge and you could never stop discovering new places and meet other creatures. He understood that Norketh wasn't used to socialize with other seadragons, so Atlas' voice was more calm and kind to let the gigantic dragon to be comfortable. "Yeah, I'm another SeaWing. I was a traveller like you until I have decided to join Korramyr and his tribe." He explained at Norketh. "It's a very nice tribe where boredom doesn't exist. Everyone here is friendly, gentle and also fun." Atlas was talking a lot as usual. He couldn't stop his tongue "I'm pretty sure you'll like the SeaWings." He smiled while the group was swimming towards the SeaWing Palace.

Eventually, the lot of them would arrive at the SeaWing Palace, Korramyr leading them to the outer courtyard, which was submerged in water, and, seeing how the lot of them were all sea dragons, Korramyr thought it would be the perfect place to start with the tour of the lovely Palace. He'd show Norketh the entire palace, aside from Korramyr's private quarters, as well as Shiningwater's private corners. It took roughly four hours, but eventually, they found themselves sitting in the throne room, which always had a massive table used for larger-scale feasting. They were all eating various foodstuffs, mostly sea fish and bakery products. "So, Norketh," he finally said. "Any thoughts? Comments? Concerns?"

Shine licked her lips as one of the waiters-who had volunteered to be a waiter, mind you-brought her her favorite; aside from Korramyr's cake, that is. A small pile of rater large fish, each a different species, nicely backed and cooked,and covered in a secret sauce that Shine had invented and told no one aside from Korramyr and the head chef. No one else knew it. 
She took a bite of the meal and turned to Norketh. "Well?" She asked, not demanding and harsh, but curious and kind.

Norketh nodded to Atlantis, the other dragon seemed genuine. The ocean really was a big place. Norketh wondered how his life would have been different if he had run into Atlantis out there earlier. Would it have been very different at all? The giant dragon was lost in thought when the Sea Wing Capital came into view, Norketh was in awe at the bright underwater utopia. It was deeper than the cove yet there were colorful reefs and the building structures glowed like pearls in the deep. There was plenty of sea life around besides the other sea dragons swimming around he could plainly see in the distance.

Korramyr, Shining Water, and Atlantis gave him a tour of the palace, Norketh was thankful that it was a very large palace for the most part, though he had trouble squeezing through a few hall ways and doors. The palace was nothing he had ever experienced before. Though it was the rest of the kingdom and the waters around it that really interested Norketh.

One part of the tour that Norketh thoroughly enjoyed was the food they now were enjoying. The large dragon devoured fish after fish, eating many courses. Still the palace, though magnificent and awesome was no place Norketh would imagine himself dwelling in. He was not used to this luxury and felt like he didn't really belong with it. Still it was a nice treat today. When finally both Korramyr and Shine asked him for his thoughts about the palace, the gigantic dragon finally eased a little bit. "I never in my wildest dreams thought a place like this could even exist... he started. Norketh's eye looked through a window, "It is very uh nice, I would like to see the rest of the kingdom, where the other sea wings swim." Norketh allowed a small smirk towards his hosts.

"Well, there's no real need to give you a tour of the Crystal Sea. Not much too there aside from sea life and the occasional sunken Human ship." He called over a waiter, ordering something else in secret, turning back to Norketh. "You can easily roam out there on your free time, I won't stop you, and neither will the guards." The waiter came back a few minutes later with another plate of fish and some ale for Korramyr. Given the amount of alcohol he'd consumed so far during dinner, it's surprising he wasn't writhing on the floor in drunkedness.

That was exactly what Norketh wanted to hear. The Giant sea dragon, still couldn't believe he had after not only found his own kind but been accepted as well. The waters were peaceful here as well, perhaps he could find a place here with these other dragons. Korramyr, Shine, and Atlantis had all been true to their word.

Norketh looked at the smaller dragons around the table and nodded to them. "You have been honest and I thank you for your generosity and.... um... kindness" he started. "Now I shall stay true to my promise and.... Norketh stopped, suddenly he smelled something in the waters, felt the massive change in the currents. He raised his massive head and looked out a nearby window. The scent was all too familiar... Norketh growled deeply and narrowed his eyes. He couldn't believe it. "How?" he thought to himself.

His suspicions were confirmed with a quake and a loud screech from outside. Blood had just been spilled in this underwater kingdom. It seems he wasn't the only deep sea monster who got carried here by the storm. Norketh could see one of their large shadows in the distance. Norketh got up and roared a loud and savage roar! The giant dragon broke through the castle wall swimming towards the large shadow in the distance. He would help repair what he broke later, but he had to act fast . The Sea wings were in danger.

Atlantis was very happy that Norketh was willing to join the SeaWings. A new friend and some nice company. The seadragon was enjoying a tasty swordfish when a sudden quake took his attention. Atlas looked alarmed outside the huge window. He noticed a big undefined shadow swimming near the palace. There was another sea monster and this one looked to be very destructive and powerful. Norketh immediately swam away from the castle to fight the enormous creature, breaking some walls in the process. Atlas followed Norketh outside, trying to figure out which kind of monster was attacking the kingdom and ready to fight it. There was no much time because the creature was probably willing to annihilate everything in sight. Atlas powerfully flapped his wings to generate a strong current against the unknown monster. The attempt was to keep the monster away from the buildings and let Norketh to strike.

Norketh swam towards the shadow. He glanced back and saw Atlantis behind him. Norketh couldn't help but admire his courage. Atlantis probably was more powerful than he looked which was fine with Norketh. He only hoped there was only one of what they were facing. Turning back to the matter at hand, his quarry suddenly stopped and turned lightning quick. Large jaws suddenly broke through the murky waters, the black form of a Megalodon shark suddenly becoming clear as the titan fish bit into Norketh's arm. The massive dragon roared in fury. Digging his claws into his aggressor. These deep sea sharks were 50 feet in size and larger than most of the other dragons in the sea wing kingdom. Norketh however was one of the few monsters of the deep that could fight and eat Megalodon. The Meg's jaws were stong enough to cut Norketh a bit but it realized its fatal mistake too late as Norketh bit into it and started shaking it like a rag doll. Using his monster strength, Norketh tore the Megalodon to pieces as it's blood filled the water around.

Norketh saw the tribal markings on the shark before he killed the fish. "Oh no..." he thought. As two more Megalodons erupted from the murky water. One bit into Norketh's large wing as the other bit into his massive tail. The giant blue dragon roared in pain and fury. His suspicions were confirmed as he saw an army of fish people riding on great white sharks dart past him and the Meg's towards the Sea Wing kingdom. Deep one's, they have hunted him before and failed each time. They apparently wanted some easier prey.

Norketh swung his huge tail against a cliff, forcing one of the Megalodons to let go, and then smacking it down to the sea floor again with another swipe of his tail. He managed to grab ahold of the other Meg with his jaws as more of there blood filled the water. A third Megalodon came from the deep and rammed Norketh in the back.

Norketh was pissed off now. He hoped the others could hold off the invaders while the monsters fought.

Korramyr had opened his mouth to speak when Norketh was finished, though he stopped himself when Norketh noticed something. "Is... Something wrong?" He spoke curiously, following Norketh's gaze to the wall. "It's just a wall, what could be --" Suddenly, up Norketh was, crashing through the wall in response to the screech, with Atlantis (and possibly Shine?) following behind. He sprung up to his feet as well, gazing forward in a mix of frustration and surprise as water began to flood into the castle. He wouldn't have time to follow them, as he had to contain the water cascading into the dining hall. He reared on his hindlegs, thrusting out his paws as he channeled his magic, visibly straining as he used lesser water magics to attempt to hold the flooding in. It looked like it would hold - for now.
