Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Korramyr sat on his haunches, surveying the scene before him - the lovely dining hall with enough room to feed thousands, with a massive table set to serve thousands. He rather liked the scene, plenty of food and drink ready to provide for anyone who came and was hungry, plus that table was beautiful, crafted by the finest of the SeaWing artisans.
There was just one problem - a massive, gaping hole in the ceiling of the dining hall, the only thing holding the water of the sea out was a magical barrier that he had to set up with the help of the guards that were a bit more knowledgeable in the arts of the arcane. He called out to Shiningwater, who was no doubt nearby, "Hey. Where's Norketh? He said he was going to help repair!" He stood up, trotting over to his mate, looking around impatiently. "Seriously - have you seen him?"

Atlas was roaming around the dining hall. He was surprised to see every kind of fish and drinks around, in a quantity enough to serve thousands of people. Neither Poseidon, Atlas' tyrannical God/Creator, was so generous towards his tribe. Now all the SeaWings needed a great party to celebrate their victory against the enemies. However there were still a lot of questions without answers: who has sent those sea monsters? Why did they want to destroy the SeaWings? Was Norketh their target? Atlas couldn't find an answer. Those sharks didn't look to be a Poseidon's creation. Norketh was the only one to know the answer. The gigantic seadragon should be there soon to help repairing the hole.

Shine winced as her mate's loud yell rang out through the hall. She took two steps and was standing beside him. She took a deep breath, then bellowed: "I'M RIGHT NEXT TO YOU, KELP-FOR-BRAINS!" Of course, she was teasing. The volume of her voice dropped as she answered. "And no. I have no idea where he is. Last I saw him, I was telling him not to open those wounds he got during the fight. I still need to restock all the herbs I lost from that." She sat down, rubbing at her ear. "You can be really loud, you know that?"
Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Norketh was currently lumbering back towards the palace, he was trying not to move too fast to open his wounds again. It was a good thing his hide and scales were so tough, other wise he would for sure be dead. He wondered if any more monsters from the deep were in these waters now, was he drawing them here? Was he putting every life in this deep sea kingdom at risk? he wondered. He owed his new allies a great deal now. First he would help repair the destruction he helped cause.
Norketh aided some of the sea wing citizens repair their roofing, lifting broken walls and debris as other dragons put the pieces back together. Some of them stared at him, Norketh did his best not to make eye contact. Finally he was approaching the Sea Wing Palace where he saw the giant hole he made. "Crap..." he muttered to himself. The giant sea dragon swam towards the hole and looked in ready for everybody to tear him a new one.

"Of course I can be loud, I'm the king - people need to hear my VOICE!" He chuckled as he nearly bellowed out those last few words, causing a few nearby guards to jump in surprise, their armor rattling a bit. All eyes were on the two of them for a moment, but seeing Korramyr's smile, they returned to work. "Anyways. I hope he shows up soon." He turned to Norketh as he entered the dining hall, his face lighting up. "There you are," he said as he moved toward him. "Are you in working condition? We need someone to do some heavy lifting."

Atlantis moved towards the group after hearing Korramyr from distance. "Don't worry, my king. I have heard your shrill voice." He teased him with a playful tone before to look towards the entrance. Norketh has finally arrived. Atlas could read in Norketh's eyes the surprise to repair a so giant hole. For sure it was a lot of hard work. Atlas was willing to give an aid. "Is there something I can do to help in the reparations?" He asked.

Korramyr paused for a moment, thinking it over. He turned around, speaking, "I'm afraid there's nothing I can have you do at the moment, Atlantis. I was going to wait for Norketh to lay the stones for the constructors to set in place, assuming he's physically up to the task. If you want you can help with that when the time comes." He paused, giving Atlantis a questioning sort of look as he awaited an answer.

Norketh was really surprised they weren't screaming at him to leave. Korramyr asked him for some heavy lifting and the massive dragon nodded, "Tell me what needs lifted and supported. I can hold the weight while it's being mended." he said in his low raspy voice. There was lots of debris around. He again saw Atlantis willing to help with the repairs, Norketh couldn't help but admire the smaller dragons selflessness. Norketh was already feeling better from his wounds, he was ready to put his strength to good use. He awaited their reply.

Atlantis listened Korramyr before to nod in aggrement "Yeah, I can help Norketh to hold the blocks weight." Atlas didn't have the other seadragon's strenght, but he was strong enough to assist Norketh in the task. He looked at the several stones that were ready to be placed... It was a good chance to train his muscles. "Ok, I'm ready." He took with his paws the first piece of block. Atlas couldn't lift up the stone alone, but with Norketh's help it was going to be a easy job for both of them.

Shine fell over sideways comically as Korramyr bellowed at her again. She glared up at him from the floor. "You better be in a cake-making mood later, mister, cuz you'll need to be." She growled playfully.Â
Her eyes crossed as loud thuds echoed through the hall and she tilted her head backwards from where she lay, knowing who to expect. She listened as Korramyr asked Norketh to help with the repairs, then chuckled as Atlantis commented on her mate's shrill voice. She-once again-listened quietly as Korramyr assigned the two tasks, and then jumped up and raced away. "I'LL GET THE GLUE!"Â
A few minutes later, she came back. Of course, she meant the stuff they had used originally, though-for effect-she pulled out a glue stick first. "This should do it!" She said happily, eyeing the small contraption that barely fit into her hand.

Norketh looked began lifting the debris up and lifted the large stones. Atlantis volunteered to help lift, though Norketh didn't need help at all. He was a dragon who preyed on whales and super sharks all the time, these large stones were not even an issue. Norketh looked at Atlantis, "Don't worry I got most of this. You get the remainder." he said nonchalantly. Norketh held up his load and waited for somebody to seal it in.

Atlantis was a bit unsure at Norket's words, but he chuckled "As you wish, Mr. Hercules. The large stones are all yours" He told another joke, trying to make a playful atmosphere. Atlas took smaller pieces and placed them in the hole. He looked at Shrine "Well done, we'll need a lot of glue..." He pondered before to add "Hmmmm... we'll probably need all the glue" Atlas shrugged. The work was proceeding very well and it won't take much time before to have entirely repaired the wall.

"You don't use glue when building a castle, friends," Korramyr chuckled absentmindedly as he conjured forth his Party Throne, hopping on it and floating up beside Norketh's head. "You use plaster and cement. Do your research." He chuckled again, grabbing a large bucket of plaster from a builder on his way up, dodging the scaffoldings and the giant dragon that was Norketh in his way as he helped the builders set the stone in the side of the castle. "Jeez... We may just have to use the glue," he said finally, the bucket empty in what seemed like just under a minute to him. "Might run out of this stuff."

Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Shine scoffed. "Run out? When I have all this?!" She pulled five massive containers of plaster out the bag around her neck. "'Run out' He says. Please!" She said with false mockery. Then smiled, taking a smaller tub of plaster and joining Korramyr-though she used a latter, her wings were too small to support her and the plater-and began to help seal the holes.
Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
(Sorry guys had a rough night last night)
Norketh kept supporting the large stones, the plaster and cement were doing its job nicely. There was only a bit of rubble left and the hole was mostly sealed. Norketh still felt terrible about the destruction he helped cause. The giant dragon knew from this point on he if he was welcomed back, that he needed to think of collateral damage in the city. Never before had he had to fight for anything but his own survival. One way or another now he owed these Seawings, and he would protect this territory with his life if need be.
Norketh looked towards Korramyr, "I'm sorry...for all of this..." he managed to say.

The work was almost finished with the aid of everyone. Atlas chuckled after hearing Korramyr and Shine jokes. He then looked at Norketh that was apologizing for the incident "Don't worry. You have risked your life to protect us from the gigantic sharks. All the SeaWings are grateful for your help." He smiled at him "However next time there're the gates... Don't rush against the first wall you could see* He laughed, telling another joke with his usual playful tone.

Korramyr couldn't help but laugh at Atlantis' comment, nearly falling from his Party Throne as he did so - which would've been a bad thing for obvious reasons. "Exactly," he said. "We're grateful for your assistance with rebuilding, and whatever those creatures were - we're glad you protected the palace from them. What were they, anyways?" He was oblivious about what exactly had attacked Norketh, especially as to why they had shown up just the day before.

Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Norketh was generally surprised they weren't angry for the damage. They seemed so laid back, these were dragons worth fighting for. He was also a little surprised they didn't know what Megalodons or deep ones were. Then again these were shallow tropical waters so monsters like them weren't common.
Norketh began to explain, "Those massive sharks were called Megalodons. They are deep sea killers that mostly feed on whales and other large prey. They used to be my only predator when I was a child.." Norketh eased up as the cement sealed another part of the hole. The floor quaked a little when he eased his weight down again. "Then I grew up and the tables turned. I became the apex predator of the deep and they became one of my prey items." Norketh growled slightly at the satisfying thought. "Megalodons never come looking for a fight with me unless they are under the control of Deep ones... those small fish humans you saw riding on the smaller sharks. Then the Meg's start working as a group and it becomes more difficult.."
Norketh lifted another boulder, "The Deep Ones discovered me when I unknowingly killed one of their Megalodons. Since then that tribe has sent armies trying to slay me. Apparently they see me as the ultimate trophy or something because I'm one of two beasts they have never conquered. They are monster hunters by nature. But now that they know of your existence they may try to come back and finish the job that was started today..." The massive dragon growled angrily at the thought. "I swear to you that I will patrol the Deep Sea border and guard this place with my life."

"Jeez," Korramyr said, a twinge of interest in his voice as he listened. "It's surprising I have not heard of them yet. Perhaps they are not native to the area." He handed his bucket of plaster to a nearby artisan, floating over to one of the many large windows that adorned the wall of the hall they were in. "I hope they don't show up again, a large-scale attack from those things would not be easy to hold up against. Do you reckon it would be possible to negotiate peace with these Deep Ones?" He gave a curious glance to Norketh, hoping he'd know.

Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Atlantis was listening with interest and concern at the same time. He knew there were a lot of water realms around the world. However he has never heard about Deep Ones "I think we didn't know about their existence because they probably live in the abyss with the Megalodons" He suggested. Atlas was surprised to hear that Korramyr was suggesting to negotiate a peace with the Deep Ones. Poseidon would instead declare war and send all his troops against them. The seadragon was very happy to serve Korramyr. A wise and nice King that always acts in the right way, trying to avoid conflicts. Atlas went quiet, waiting with apprehension Norketh's answer. He really hoped there was a chance to avoid a bloody war.

The massive dragon had the resist the urge to laugh. Peace with the Deep Ones was the last thing Norketh could ever imagine happening. He looked at Korramyr, "Atlantis is correct, they live in the darkest and deepest underwater trenches." Another boulder was sealed, there wasn't much more to go.
"The Deep Ones are a very savage race who consider us evil monsters to be either conquered and destroyed, or tamed as war beasts." Norketh said matter of factly.

"Well if they're looking for slaves, they won't find them here." Korramyr nodded after saying this, trying to reinforce that statement just a bit more. "I refuse to let this tribe be conquered by... Fish, if they can even be described as that." He sighed, spinning around in his seat. "You know how they work, Norketh. How do we fight them?"

Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Atlantis was listening the conversation. He pondered how they could fight their enemies. The Deep Ones proved to be very powerful "Hmmm... I can set up several whirlpool traps with the help of other seadragons. So we can take the enemies by surprise if they would try to attack us another time. Then we should be able to wreck their forces once for all." He suggested before to look at Norketh."Do you think that could work?" He asked.

Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Out of all the new feelings and experiences brought since he woke up in this place, Norketh was happiest with the fact that he now had allies who would fight with him. These dragons were noble and did so much good for the world. Norketh still felt out of place with them but he knew deep down that he had to protect his new allies and this new ecosystem.
The monster dragon was holding up the last boulder to the now fixed ceiling when he heard both Korramyr's and Atlantis' inquiries. Norketh growled in silence for a moment. "If you can make lasting whirl pools I would place them around your borders, though it isn't hard to spot and go around a whirl pool, especially with their size...regardless I would start making some sort of warning system and outer defenses for this kingdom... Just in case I fail in stopping them or they sneak by me." Norketh explained. "I don't know what every body can do, it's what the Deep ones bring with them that can be tricky." Norketh's anger began to rise at the mere thought of them.
He looked down towards the others, they didn't have his monstrous strength, size, and durability but they were no slouches. They could all probably handle the Deep ones but their monsters were probably a different story. "I owe you all a great deal... and I promise you no more monsters from the deep will destroy this place while I breathe." Norketh began to walk towards the exit, the room still seemed cramped for someone his size. "Do what you have to in order to protect your homes. As for your monster problem, you guys have a monster of your own now.." Norketh yelled back as he continued stomping towards the exit being careful not to break anything in the room.

Re: Rebuilding and Repairing (Open to all - followup to From the Deep)
Atlantis looked at Norketh "I'm not planning to make lasting whirlpools... They're actually traps that can be activated when the enemies are approaching the kingdom. So it's a very nasty surprise for the Deep Ones." He chuckled. The SeaWings were now a very powerful tribe with Norketh on their side. Nothing could stop them. If a war against other dragons would occur, the enemies were going to be mostly destroyed by a deadly combination of Norketh's strenght, Atlantis water powers and Korramyr's magic. They also had an awesome healer, Shine... For sure she needed to gather a triple quantity of herbs in order to heal a gigantic dragon like Norketh. Atlas saw Norketh moving away, every step caused the palace to shake a little. The seadragon knew that Norketh could easily destroy the palace in a matter of seconds. They were very lucky to have a so powerful ally with them. Atlas looked at Korramyr "Now the hole is repaired, I'd suggest to take a rest before to start working on the defenses" He told him.
