Servius the Manticore

Personality: Servius is an emotionally wounded creature. His pride (I assume Manticores would live in small family groups because, lions), along with most of his species, was slaughtered by Humans during their invasion of the EarthWing Kingdom. Servius was the sole survivor and held captive by Humans for a short time. After his escape, he returned to the only home he had ever known, going deep into the forest to reside in the ruins of the EarthWIng City. In his seclusion, Servius has fallen prey to his own thoughts, developing a deep hatred for Dragons, Humans, and even his own species, whom he blames for the invasion. The FIreWing/NightWIng invasion of the former EarthWIng territory forced Servius from his home, only adding to his hatred for Dragons. Servius realizes that his reclusive behavior hurts not only himself, but his species and he tries at times to change. Despite all this, Servius is kind-hearted and loyal and would like to one day join a new Dragon Tribe.

Interests: Servius loves to bask in the sun. He also enjoys reciting poetry and studying the histroy of all species. Humans, who were created by Shardas as snacks for the Manticores.
Dislikes: Serivus hates fast talkers, because it is harder to read their lips. Muddy water doesn't work for Servius, who likes a clean pelt. Fish are annoying; they do absolutely nothing but swim around all day and ruin water for everyone with their poo.
Fears: Servius fears the day Humans go extinct, because then he will have to ask Shardas--who is dead now--to create a new snack for him.

General Appearance
Height: 70ft
Scales: Scales? What part of "Manticore" suggests a scaled body? I clearly have fur, you silly character template creator. The body of Servius is brown, black, and white.
Eyes: Hazel
Appearance: Servius is an average-looking Manticore. His pelt is sand-brown, though it becomes much darker--almost black--at the legs and along the back. At these areas, he has black stripes. His mane is thick and a reddish-brown color. His paws, chin and mouth are white. There are short black spines on his legs, back, and edges of his wings (close to the shoulders) for protection against biters, Human spears and swords. His scorpion tail is also covered in spikes and is black in color, except for the stinger, which is reddish brown. The end of his tail also has slightly bigger spikes. Servius' ears stand out fromo his mane, being light brown, and he has hazel colored eyes--the last thing his prey sees. His wings are learthery like a bat's and too are black.

Skills and Abilities
Strengths: Servius was born deaf, as a result, his sense of smell and sight are greatly heightened, making stealth attacks a bit more challenging. Servius has perfected the art of reading lips, though he can have trouble if the being talks too fast. Of course, Servius has the incredible physical strength his species is known for. The deadly stinger of his scorpion tail is full of paralyzing toxin, capable of piercing an unarmored foe, though the toxin is useless against other Manticores and EarthWIngs, who are immune. The paralyzing effects of the toxin typically lasts 3-5 minutes for bigger creatures (LightWings to FIreWIngs), 6-10 minutes for smaller creatures (NightWIngs to SkyWings), and 11-20 minutes for anything smaller than a SkyWing.
Special Abilities: Shardas did not see it fit to grant the Manticore with any sort of special power at all... However, Servius does have an ability unqiue to himself. The larger spikes around the end of his tail are actually quills and can be launched at his opponent. Servius can launch 20 total during a fight, either 1 at a time or in small clusters of 3-4. However, they don't contain any toxin and aren't likely to pierce a Dragon unless he swung his tail hard enough, which is easier to do when he is on the ground. They will pierce other creatures with relative ease, except perhaps those pesky Ice Phoenix with their fancy ice armor, only causing mild, localized pain that increases with each quill that ends up in the same place. The quills have tiny barbs but are relatively easy to remove and the pain lasts about 5mins. It can last about an hour, however, if multiple quills were lodged in the same place. Anything not even remotely sturdy or big enough to handle being hit by anything thrown at them by a 70ft anything (note that here is a reference to prey and hoomans), like those delicious little hors d'oeuvres know as Humans, would of course be killed by these quills because they are inferior beings only good for filling empty bellies.
Weaknesses: Oh well, if I must have them... Servius is deaf, as aforementioned in Strengths. While his vision and smell are heightened, ranged attacks that are down wind or from below go unnoticed (except fire, which he can smell). Being a cat, Servius has good night vision, but the shadow based attacks of NightWIngs would be difficult, if not impossible, to detect. Servius struggles constantly within himself, trying to make peace with what happened to his family. His wings are leathery; learth wings and sharp objects are not friends. He is a giant cat... just throw a gaint ball of yarn at him (Jk.. but come on, I had to say it).
Combat Style: The Manticore is a cat. Do I need to tell you that cats are ninjas? Alright, fine. Cats are ninjas, the Manticore is no different. He is stealthy and you probably won't notice him until you feel something rubbing up against your legs because you still haven't fed him and it's going on 4pm. How hard is it to round up a couple dozen Humans for him to snack on until dinner? Sheesh. Now, let's talk about a situation in which Servius goes into battle. He annihlates it first then asks questions later. He is cofident, usually, because most of the time he is able to win with his strength and his paralyzing tonxin-filled stinger alone. But overall, he has no specific fighting style.. all the better to keep the prey guessing.

How long can his toxin last for?

I'd say 3-5 minutes for big things and 6-10 minutes for small things. Anything smaller than a SkyWing could be 11-20 minutes.
