[Character History] Forget Me Not [ON HOLD]

Kenshin wasn't supposed to be who he is now, if it wasn't for the massacre that had occurred in his mother's home, the NightWings. Alright, it didn't exactly happen in the NightWing territory, but a massacre involving Kenshin's parents did occur, quite near the NightWing territory.

First, to understand Kenshin, another character must make their appearance, Mahwus. Not a dragon, but a dragon's personality, created from Kenshin's traumatic past. Mahwus dwells within Kenshin's subconscious mind, holding Kenshin's sanity together by becoming Kenshin's insanity itself. Mahwus cannot be considered dragon nor a living being, but perhaps, what a real monster would be like. Kenshin only remembers this monstrous personality when it is time for him to regain control of his own body. Upon regaining control, he will completely forget that Mahwus ever existed within him. But Mahwus remembers everything. That is Mahwus, the Mad Man and Kenshin's need for support. Even if Kenshin wanted to remove Mahwus, it would be impossible, as to kill Mahwus would be to kill himself.

How? You say. How would Kenshin keep Mahwus under control if he doesn't even remember it? Kenshin does remember Mahwus, but again, he denies its existence until he thinks it does not exist. But Kenshin's sane mind cages Mahwus, keeping it there as long as Kenshin does not realise the cruel world and the events that had happened more than 900 years ago...

UPDATE: Darn it, I can't come up with a good enough tragic backstory for Kenshin. So this will be on hold for a long time.
