The Quest for Orichalcum

The Quest for Orichalcum
This going to develop Diacalor's character and establish a past for him. Orichalcum is a rare Atlantean metal made from gold and bronze. Diacalor needs to find as much orichalcum as he can, as it's the only thing left that can connect him to his past as an Atlantean dragon, and more importantly, his species.
I want to introduce Atlantean dragons as a race not unlike the Reptilians by way of rarity, but more connected to actual dragons. I might also explain how Atlantean dragons were wiped out.

Re: The Quest for Orichalcum
How far back in the past is this going? Cause I could offer one of my characters named Vrede to help with this in some way.
Re: The Quest for Orichalcum
If His species died out about 10000 years I could be the reason

Re: The Quest for Orichalcum
This happened exactly 180 years ago, when Diacalor was 20. Nobody here is at fault, and you are both welcome to join as long as you have some excuse to be having anything dark green and metallic in your hordes or memory.

Re: The Quest for Orichalcum
Vrede could have been helping to protect Atlantis as she's a seawing and looks much scarier than that leviathin. XD
However if its 180 human years I can't put her into it. She's like.. only just over 100 I think.. in human years.

The more the better
Maybe stop at 7 peeps including me. Also no reptiles, the leviathan would squash them flat

It could be lore if you wanted it to. Did I open it in the wrong place?

Re: The Quest for Orichalcum
Is this still a thing? I could see Virlinka having a few pieces of Orichalcum (that she tentatively experiments with since she isn't likely to have a lot). She'd be a pretty difficult dragon in terms of personality though.
And what are the properties of Orichalcum? Is the metal hard and tough enough to be a material worthy of construction, armor and weapon forging, etc? Is it extremely cumbersome/dense? How easily do the crystals shatter and do they do anything but glow?

Re: The Quest for Orichalcum
this is still a thing.
When orichalcum is touched with an orichalcum crystal it responds to the desires of the one wielding the crystal. Orichalcum crystals only respond to the person who owns it. Orichalcum by itself is as soft as bronze and only moves when moved. Drop it and it won't drop, throw it and it won't throw. It's extremely hard to break orichalcum crystals, which makes them hard to mine, which makes them hard to obtain. Only Atlantean Dragons have the ability to break orichalcum crystals, but anyone can forge or break oriclalcum metal.

Ah, alright.
Now I totally see her abusing the orichalcum crystal controlling ability to do stupid pranks as well.
