The Second Rage (Open Plot)

The only time Nighshade ever flew into a berserking rage was not long after the death of her mother, when she was but a hatchling on her own. It had happened when humans threatened to take her life, when she had done nothing wrong. In response, her demonic fox persona took over, and charred the bodies of the people, and practically melted the sides of the cave, the heat had been so intense.

She dubbed it simply as The First Rage, and never told a soul.

Now, the reason why they call it a demon, will reveal itself once more.

The black root-covered drake flew overhead, the bright sun sparkling off of her wingtips in a sort of awe-filled grace. She flew over a calm and serene forest. Except it wasn't so serene. Her sensitive ears picked up on a heavy flaw: The patch of greenery held not a sound of a birdcall. Curious, she investigates, only to find a human trap. Though it had not performed as it was supposed to, with a deer stranded in the center only covered by some foliage to make the dead thing look natural, it performed its duty nonetheless. These arrogant and lucky humans caved in on Nightshade, prepared to kill.

The dragon's stomach lurched, and she saw through tunnel vision at her would-be killers.

Far away, a plume of smoke and soot rose into the calm air, blemishing the crystal blue. A forest fire had started, caused by a raging nine-tailed fox surrounded by human remains. Its blue fire engulfed the trees in its frenzy. If this kept up, the ecosystem could be damaged severely.

The fox raged with eyes as shallow as river stones. The eyes of a killer.

The Second Rage had come.
