Mountain Sanctuary (Private - Melody, +Kids)

After 1 year since Blizzard & Melody had hatchlings, life was starting to get hectic for the icewings. With a potential threat of the Firewings attacking they had to prepare themselves for war, leading to Blizzard working quite a lot creating weapons and gear for the defense.  Luckily he was able to have a day off, deciding to take Mel and the kids to where they first met. Blizzard first found the place while hunting deep within the mountains, a lush green environment with a small lake, stocked with wildlife it was a sanctuary for all against the cold of the mountains. Being his larger self he carried his family over towards the lake side, landing softly onto the grass below. Only to create a icy mist around him causing the grass to freeze around him. Smiling he gazed towards the sparkling waters of the lake, it was peaceful, perfect for relaxing, something which Blizzard wanted. Curling his tail in the grass he spoke softly due to being his larger self, "Hey.. where here"

Asher jumped from his father's back, having eagerly waited for that moment. Finally something to explore ! It was one of the first times he got out of his cave. Outside everything was so big ! It was so big he couldn't even see the ceiling outside, and his daddy was flying high ! And everything under him was so green ! It was a weird color, it wasn't grey like the stone or light blue like his daddy and his mommy.
The young hatchling let out a squeak as he didn't exactly landed where he expected to land. He raised his head, angry, before realizing only his head was poking out of the grass. If he lowered himself, he was perfectly hidden from everything ! That was awesome ! He let out a loud meep, dashing through the grass with his head lowered to be camouflaged. Well at least that was what he was imagining, in reality Blizzard would see his son quite clearly from above.

Radiance didn't move as her father landed, and instead remained rooted to her unspoken official spot between his wings. She sat up and looked over his shoulder as Asher jumped from his father's back, nearly taking Radiance with him as his tail caught her paw. She meeped loudly, and clung to her father's back in a frantic attempt to remain on his back. He wouldn't feel a thing, she was too small. She scrambled back to her spot and curled her tail close to her, before watching Asher run around in the grass happily. She huddled closer to her father's back and he keen eyes watched her brother running around.

Melody was on the ground, taking a seat in the greenery. She looked over at her family and smiled, her head tilted to the side. Despite the fact that she could easily be attacked, should any predators be in the area, she sat there, right smack in the middle of the place. "Isn't it beautiful?" she asked in her calm, serene voice as she glanced around, giggling nearly silently at Asher's silly actions.

Safra opened her eyes as the flight was over. Leaping off of her daddy's back, she gazed around the greenland. It. Was. Amazing. She could see a small lake and a green forest nearby. As her brother wandered off into the grass, Safra walked over to the lake and waded herself into the shallow end. Oh how it felt nice to be greeted by the coolness against her pale, white, scales. As she dug her claws into the sand, it had a tingling sensation and made her giggle in her voice that sounded like bells. She sat down on her bottom, continuing to play with the water, making small ripples in the calm lake.

Asher continued to run in the grass, his trajectory totally hectic. Somehow he reached the beach, and his eyes widened as he saw the water. There was water as far as he could see ! The hatchling began to run toward the lake, but crashed with a loud meep on the ground when his paws slipped on the sand. What was that treacherous ground ? It was unstable and hard to walk on ! But he got the trick in a few steps and resumed his progress toward the water. His sister was there, playing with something he couldn't see. Now he was highly curious. With a loud meep Asher ran toward his sister, leaping on her playfully, making the two hatchlings roll in the water.

Blizzard on looked as his kids played in the grass and lake, smiling he noticed Radiance wasn't with them, slightly confused he turned his gaze towards his back only to spot her curled up. Nudging her slightly with his snout, "You alright Radiance?" Only to smirk and chuckle "Come on lazy one, go play in the grass, theres tons to explore. Don't I will be with ya"

Turning back towards the others he spoke towards Mel, "Hey remember this place?" Giving her smile, he turned towards the hatchlings. Letting out a short blast of icy air, creating a sparkling cloud of freezing air close by them.

Safra yelped as something landed on her, making her go underneath the water. As she got up, she looked around for the suspect. When she realized that it was her brother Asher, it was too late, for he already tackled her into the water. She giggled again and when she got up. Then she lunged at Asher tackling him into the water. When he got up, Safra then splashed a huge wave of water at Asher. After he got out of the wave mess made by her, she laughed and just kept laughing at Asher.

Asher meeped as the cold wave of water hit him, making him stumble and fall sitting in the shallow water. If his sister wanted a war, she would have it ! The young hatchling hit the water with his paw, splashing Safra with a water wave. Then he lunged again on his sister with a playful roar, rolling with her once again in the water.

Radiance looked at her father as he spoke, only to meep loudly as he nudged her with his nose. Unable to get a hold on his scales this time, she slipped down to the grass, meeping loudly. She half-glared at her father, before curling up like a cat against his side, her paws tucked under her chest and tail curled close to her side as she surveyed her siblings. She couldn't-for the life of her-decide why they would rather play than sit and watch and listen. Her gaze was drawn to a reflection on the shiny grass, and she dabbed at the rainbow, knowing it came from her, but not sure why.

Blizzard chuckled from the short lived movement from Radiance, deciding to leave her for now he turned his gaze back towards the other hatchling playing in the lake. "Don't go to deep guys" smiling away his scales shun in the sunlight, curling his tail around Radiance he placed his snout on his front paws. Continuing to be on alert for any danger.

As Asher continued to "fight" with her sibling, he was getting closer from a sudden drop of depth. One final roll was all it took him to reach it. To his surprise, instead of rolling on some shallow water Asher fell entirely in the water, disappearing from the surface with an audible "plouf" sound. A second latter the hatchling surfaced, climbing back on the shallow part of the lake with a series of angry meeps. He continued to meep until he reached the lake's border, at which point he violently pawed the water and turned his back to it with a final indignated meep.

Melody walked up to her mate and looked up at him, her head tilted as she suddenly stuck to his side. "Um.. are the kids going to be okay? I.. I don't think they can swim too well... Um.." She said, suddenly receiving her old intimidated style. She was about to offer Blizzard a shrinkage, so that he may be close to his family's heights, but this now made her feel safer.

Asher shook his body to get dry from the water he just fell in before looking all around him. There still was so much to do here... but he was feeling a bit tired. A small pause would be more than welcomed. The hatchling stood up and trotted toward Melody. As he arrived near his mother, he rubbed her side with a purr and lied down next to her, resting a bit from his intensive playing session.

Blizzard Smiling at Mel, with his snout in the grass so that his family didn't have to look up. "Its alright Mel... their fine, if anything happens I will protect them with my life... including you..." continuing "If it makes you feel better you can shrink me" As he growl like purred at Mel his tail curled around Radiance keeping her company.

Radiance let out a happy purr at her father, curling closer to his far larger side. She watched as Asher curled up near her mother, and blinked her ice blue eyes at him, and extended her nearly clear wing for him. Some part of her being the elder sibling told her to do so. So she listened.

Snowbell jumped on her mother, Sugarbell's back as she flew off, searching for food.

Melody was slightly startled as her only son began to rest against her. She turned with wide eyes and flinched slightly, tensing up. She then realized that this predator was, in fact, her child. She wrapped a wing tightly around him and buried her face in her paws, breathing quickly. She was still wrapped in Blizzard's grasp.

"B-blizzard.. have the children ever spoke? I.. I can't recall.." She said in her hushed voice, looking up at her mate.

Asher tilted his head as he could sense his mother was tensed. After having cast away his sister's wing - he was the alpha male of the clutch, he didn't need her concern - the hatchling rubbed his head against Melody's flank, slightly purring. He hoped this would help her feel safe.
