Comes Wisdom, Comes Conflict (Open; All!)

Gusano had been sprawled across a warm, flat rock that was right next to a cliff. It was early, dawn actually. The horizon was beautiful. It had several colors, from oranges to blues, and even some purples. It's as if some god was painting the sky with certain colors. But Gusano wasn't outside of his cavern to take a stroll on the scenic route over to the nasty, disgusting swamps of the Nightwings. Rather, a peaceful time to read an ancient poem. Gusano loved scrolls, and reading them at dawn or dusk was the perfect time to fill his head with knowledge. This was his favorite poem, written by an old bu wise EarthWing. He greatly respected EarthWings, they were truly positive beings. Gusano smiled as his eyes slowly skimmed over the words.

"Follow thee love, and it shall flee thee..

Flee thee love, and it shall follow thee.." He mumbled aloud to himself, no mater how many times he read the poem, the writing never seized to amaze him. This was probably the last copy of the scroll, it was centuries old. His front legs were crossed but it was in a position where his left claw was crossed over to his right side and his claw could reach and unfold the scroll to reveal more writing. Gusano smiled warmly and flicked his tail back and forth a little, nudging the large bag of scrolls neatly folded in the backpack. Gusano started to laugh quietly, "What magnificent wording.. if only I could meet the author of this poem! Now that'd be a reason to walk past the swamps of the Nightwings! Even I can withstand that horrid odor! Not to mention the nightwings.. they're so.. so!-" Gusano frowned and groaned, he really disliked the Nightwings. They were always up to no good! He unfolded his forearms and clenched his paw, forcefully yet softly slamming it against the rocky surface with anger. "Humph! If I saw a Nightwing right now, they'd be running off with their tails tucked between their legs!" Gusano stuck his tongue out, even though he was talking to himself.

Even though he was a mature dragon, he still acted childish at times.

Gemini, who had heard of the upcoming leadership of the LightWings, as the old one had stepped down, was going to visit and congratulate them. Sure, the LightWings and NightWings were supposed to be rivals (Keyword: SUPPOSED TO), but she wasn't that mean to do: "YOU GUYS SUCK! NIGHTWINGS, ATTACK!" No. She was the type that would congratulate someone no matter how bad they were. Ok.. that was an exaggeration. As she landed in the bright territory, she squinted. She never liked the sunlight much, but she would have to deal with it.

Spotting a lone LightWing sprawled across a large rock with her keen eyesight, she padded over. "LightWing," she called. "Can you take me to your kingdom? I have some business to do."

Right when Gusano was acting all high and mighty, a sudden voice ringed in his ears. He gasped, a little surprised. It was rare you'd see anyone other then Lightwings pass so far from their Kingdom. Gusano blinked and looked over his shoulder only to find something displeasing. The Nightwing queen. ..Well speak of the devil! Did I summon her or something..?.. Gusano thought, but he didn't have time to actually think. He snarled and glared with his piercing optics directly at Gemini.

"No, I can't take you to the inner-part of our Kigndom. You are not welcomed here until further noticed, Gemini! Now dismiss yourself, or will I have to escort you to the dastardly swamps you shadow-lizards came from?" Gusano said with a striking and demanding tone. He always considered others, and people were sleeping but because he was all frustrated a few seconds ago, he ended up yelling. But he was on the border of the Kingdom, so he didn't think anyone would here them. His snarled expression kept on his face, his posture was one of a stalking dragon's. He was ready to pounce. Well, that's what he thought.

Gemini narrowed her multi-colored eyes. "I WAS noticed, as a matter of fact. I was informed that you were having a new leadership for the LightWings? I'm here to congratulate him/her/them." She raised a brow. "Not all NightWings are untrustworthy. That's just stereotypical. Just because we're darkness and you're light doesn't mean we need to hate each other like this." She sighed a bit. "Now please. Can you show me to your kingdom?"

Gojira wanders around the LightWing territory. He has a wyvern, about 30 feet long in his jaws. He wanders until he sees Gusano with Gemeni "Well this seems to be interesting to observe" he says in a deep and rather threatening voice. He sits down and observes the two from a far, eating the wyvern as he watches.

Gusano's snarl turned into more of a intense glare. He stood up, his back straight, and chest up. Gusano then flashed his smooth-scaled wings up, trying impress and provoke Gemini.. neither would work, he thought. He hissed silently, his long tongue slithering out of his mouth. "A no is a no, Gemini. Our tribe is awaiting the news of our hopefully, upcoming ruler or rulers. Times are complicated right now, and I refuse for you to take foot beyond here!" He raised his voiced, in a bit of a matter-of-fact tone.

He folded his wings back down just when another pesky dragon flew by. Gusano was starting to get uncomfortable, he wasn't much a fighter, though his words and body said otherwise. His glare intensified at the Firewing who had arrived. Gusano hissed again, "Excuse you, Firewing, but no one will be observing anything. Now both of you, go back to where you came from! You aren't welcomed here!" He growled, twitching his wings and rattling his scales to intimidate them. If ONE more dragon showed up, he'd just chase them off.

Azlvetta wandered around happily. She had made a new friend, Mirage, who was supposed to be invisible. She's still trying to learn how to see the invisible dragon, but as she was going over to her place, her thoughts were interrupted by the new LightWing that recently joined the tribe. Azl stepped back into the trees to listen to the LightWing have a conversation with the NightWing queen, Gemini. Hearing a few words, she stepped out and noted to the new LightWing, "Oh, I'm sure that Gemini will behave herself. She seems to seriously want to greet the new leader. So do I. I haven't seen him before. And this FireWing here can come also! I'm sure we can have a celebration together! Oh, and by the way, I'm Azlvetta, LightWing healer. What's your name?" She addressed to the LightWing.

Gojira looks down at Gusano with a slight glare "I am sorry if I have intruded into your territory" he said while blood dripped from his large jaws "I was just wanting to find a new place to work on my hunting skills, just now I have caught a wyvern (non lightwing) in this area" he was explain to gousano, until Azltvetta comes by and tells Gusano that both gemeni and gojira are allowed "well, guess I will be staying here and be apart of the conversation"

Gusano cleared his throat as another, unfamiliar, voice had presented itself. It was another Lightwing. He immediately stopped snarling and sat down, his head turned over his shoulder to get a good look at the female. No matter how big and buff Gusano was, he still wasn't much of a fighter, let alone aggressive person. He was actually quite a softy. But he decided rather then trying to impress anyone, he might as well set off a good impression. "Nice to meet you, Azlvetta. I'm Gusano."

That is when Gusano suddenly remembered his scrolls. He quickly stumbled over to the large, filled backpack and gently tossed the bag over his back, filled with scrolls and writing charcoal. Even in situations like these, he couldn't bare to see his scrolls get trampled over. "Hm.. I don't think it's a good idea to let them through without our leaders's approval. No one was expecting company." He shrugged as he squinted over towards Gemini and the firewing. His eyes narrowed into slits as he frowned. "Are you sure it's okay?" He whispered over to Azlvetta.

Meanwhile in the palace...

Devi was pacing around in the private council room, clearly worried about the day. "Where the hell is he..." he spoke to himself, as he was waiting for Lucian. Today the news was going to be broken to the tribe, with introducing the two new leaders, as the original leader stepped down. Finally pausing for a moment next to the centre of the room, he sighed looking towards the floor. He knew Lucian had 'stage fright' but it was best that both of them reveled themselves. Shortly after he continued to pace, it wouldn't be long before the celebration starts...

Lucian made his way through the hallways towards the council room. He was afraid of presenting himself, even though his tribe had the right to know of the new rulers, his fear had, most of the time, gotten the better of him. That's why he made his way to the council room, to speak one more time with Devi to prepare himself for the incoming ceremony...
Entering the room, he saw Devi pacing around, probably waiting for him. He took a seat and a deep breath.
Well, Devi, here I am.

Dev sighed in relief, "Where have you been? you know we still have things to prepare..." he replied while stopping his pacing. walking up to Lucian he smiled, "You still going to come with me to the ceremony?" he asked with a curious look. Then moving to sit next to him, "I know... your not great with crowds, but I will be there with ya" as he placed his paw on his shoulder, trying to reassure him. His tail started to move behind Lucian, then swiftly moving to playfully slap Lucian's snout, Devi chuckled "Hey you can do it! I believe you can"

Lucian couldn't help but chuckle at the antics of his fellow Lightwing. He sighed once before doing what he always does when he is nervous, preening his wings.
Yes, don't worry. I will still come to the ceremony. They have to know about their leaders...I will somehow get over this fear...I hope so...
Becoming even more nervous at the thought of walking in front of many, he continued preening his wings at a faster pace.

Devi smirked, "You will be fine..." nudging him on the snout with his paw. He watched Luci preen his feathers, guessing that it was nervous thing. Choosing to speak up to break the tenseness, "So you got any plans, to do with the tribe?" He knew that Luci was better at managing the tribe than he was, but he was glad that he was here to help. After all Devi wasn't that much into managing all the ins and outs, his only interest was the defense of the tribe and keeping moral up.

Rather focused on the preening, Lucian tried to listen to Devi as good as he can.
Well...yes, I have plans. I've been planning for a long time now and I will soon start executing these plans. I think they will help our tribe.

Gemini nodded at the new dragon. "Azlvetta," she acknowledged. "At least there's one dragon kind enough to let me in." She stared into Gusano's eyes. "Now may I enter? I really do wish to call a temporary truce and congratulate the new leadership. That'd be harsh of me not to."

~Short post is short~

Gusano sighed, a irritated groan following close afterwards. He cleared his throat and readjusted his backpack which was full of heavy charcoal and scrolls. Flicking his tail to the right and left, and hissed annoyingly, "I'm unsure whether I should let you two pass. I am going to speak with someone about it. Stay here." He hissed again before crouching down and taking a leaping start into the air, his silvery wings extended, arms and legs hanging off of his body as the sunlight reflected off of his scales making him look bejeweled before he dove down into a less lit area over to the tribe's quarters.

He could find the warm breeze brush on and off of his scales, it almost tickled. However, Gusano kept a worried face and said aloud to himself, "Talk about uncomfortable! I had no idea that the queen of the nightwings would be showing up! And I was even more surprised when a Firewing popped up.. how did they even hear about the ceremony? Rumors? Has to be. Or else somebody is leaking some information! Or.. or.. maybe I am just over thinking this whole thing? Ugh! This is why I sometimes dislike my job! Let alone dislike doing my job on my own, It's not easy settling situations like that! The tension was as mighty and big as the largest Earthwing you could find in the warmest ditch! Why must this all be so confusin-!"

THUMP!

Gusano hit his head right on a tree. He was still airborne though. Gusano dramatically yelped and winced, not sure where he was flying. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!" He said repeatedly as he rubbed his skull with his left paw. He shook his head and opened his winced eyes again, only to himself right in front of the Lightwing palace.

He landed gently onto the glassy stone that reflected the sun's light. It's like the palace was enchanted by sun rays. He walked over to the doors, as his talons continuously tapped about on the glassy stone. Opening a door, he trotted inside of the palace that had many windows that let the light penetrate into the palace. Everything looked as if it were bejeweled with the brightest of rubies.

He gazed around in awe before refocusing on the goal at hand. He peeked around, not really wanting to give himself a tour of the palace without permission. He continued to search. "Sires? Sires! I need to speak with you!" He started to trot around, only taking quick peeks at places, though thoroughly searching for their new leaders.

Devi glanced around the room, sighing he turned back toward Luci "It shouldn't be long now, last I checked everything is going to plan" turning away again he did feel a bit awkward, since he didn't know what to say. When suddenly he heard footsteps close by, normally this section of the palace was private in less it was important. Then he heard a male dragon's voice speak up that seemed to be looking for them, Devi chose to speak out "Over here... What is it?" he asked giving Lucian a curious look.

Lucian stopped the preening as he heard said voice as well. He returned the curious look of Devi with one of his own. These were the parts of the castle which were private but in emergency cases or if someone was needed in a case of great importance. Slowly, he opened the door a bit before calling out to the hall.
Whoever's there, come in if you're looking for us. But make it quick, please.

Gusano perked his ears in the response of two, ringing voices. Tilting his head towards the voices, he searched and found the Lightwing kings. He trotted up to them with a warm smile and welcoming eyes. He slowed down to a walk and soon, a complete stop. He bowed his head down and extended his wings outward in grace and respect before standing back up, straight. His head was positioned straight ahead but his optics were looking straight at the kings. "Salutations, Sires. I apologize if I have disturbed a session of urgency but.. it seems we have visitors requesting access to the palace. Not to mention, you two." He paused before rambling on again, even he knew when to act formal. "It's, uh, Gemini. The Nightwing queen and a unknown Firewing whom request access to our Kingdom. I was unsure whether to have them trespass, so I came to report to you two for your approval. Her reason being wanting to congratulate you, sires, on your gain of leadership."

A few scrolls slipped out of his backpack. He finally noticed it by the sensation of something.. light, touching his scales on his hind paws. Gusano glanced down to his paw, then looked back at the sires. Soon realizing what it was, less then a second afterwards he glanced back a bit surprised. "Oh! Um..! Let me just get those.." He stumbled over to the scrolls and clumsily collected them, but that's when he realized the backpack was open. As Gusano forcefully turned to stack up the scrolls, neatly, he noticed even more falling out. He turned over, to collect the ones that had fallen out. When he gently whipped his tail behind him, right next to the neatly folded stack of scrolls, and busted right through them and you could see scrolls flying through the air. Zooming in the air, and gently floating down to the glassy ground as if it were a feather. In a little one-sided panic, Gusano tried to collect all of them before slipping on some blank scrolls. His body flipped over onto his shoulder blades, and you could hear a muffled thud once he fell. Most all of the scrolls floated onto the ground, some on his belly, and a couple on his face. He sighed silently and blew a scroll off his mouth and smiled, modestly.

"Oh.. um... OH! And uh, Congratulation on becoming our upcoming kings! And uh.. I'll.. I'll clean this up! Don't you worry I'll uh.. I'll do it now! I just hope you don't accidentally trample over them, you see.. uh.. they're very precious to me! And, um,.." He started talking really fast before slowly cleaning up the mess after he got back up on his paws.

Gojira just waits for Gusano to return from his errand. He takes another bite of his kill before tossing the rest of it in a meadow. he crack his neck and sways his tail back and forth, he looks at Gemini, then to Azlvetta "so, what is new with you too?"

Devi watched as the guardian walked up towards them, as he bowed and greeted, Devi smiled he still had to get used to this, but he did feel that it wasn't necessary. "You don't have to bow, whats the news?" he asked with a smirk. Shortly after receiving the response, he glanced back towards Luci "I'm sure that would be fine, but keep an eye on them, what you think Lucian?" moments later he spotted the guardian tumbling around with some sort of scrolls, chuckling slightly as he slipped on one of them. "Whats your name guardian? and what are those?" he asked with a friendly smile. As he pulled himself back onto his feet and crept closer to inspect the scrolls, being careful not to stand on them.

Lucian said nothing at first. He observed the whole situation, setting his mind on the pros and cons about giving Gemini access to the Lightwing's palace, the Firewing was no problem at all since the Guardian didn't mention anything about a high-ranked Firewing. It was just unheard of a situation like this.
He didn't really pay attention to the whole situation, his mind only focused on Gemini and the problems that may or may not come with this.
I...I don't know really. I am unsure if we should let Gemini enter this place. So I'll leave it up to you, Devi. However, if you'll allow it, I want her under constant observation by none other than myself. I do not trust Nightwings in general. It doesn't necessarily mean that I think bad of the queen especially, but I want to ensure the safe future of us...I hope you can understand.

In the meantime while the sires were talking, Gusano had finished neatly stacking and placing his scrolls tightly back in their positions in his backpack. After resealing his Backpack's latch, he checked to make sure that it was tight and hopeful it wouldn't get loose again. Sighing in relief, he gazed back up to Devi and Lucian. But as Devi spoke to him, he was actually wuite shocked. He was only focused on reporting, nothing else. Not many people had taken interest in him, nor his own interests like these scrolls. "Oh! I'm Gusano. Pleasure to meet you both, sires." He bowed again, a bit gracefully this time.

"Oh, and these are my scrolls.  I guess you could call me a book worm. Hehe... I uh, guess I should escort Gemini and that Firewing over to you. Please, expect my presence soon." With those parting words, he springed off into the air after he trotted outside. It was only about a minute before he arrived at the borders of their Kingdom. Landing with a thump, Gusano looked over at Gemini and the FireWing. "Your presences have been welcomed past the border, you may enter but only under observation, Lucian also has his doubts, as do I." He didn't like Gemini. But he set aside his comfort zone and smiled warmly. And it was a real smile. They weren't enemies.

Gemini dipped her head in acknowledgement and smiled. "Thank you, LightWing," she said. "I'm glad that you have all agreed." She nodded her head when he said that she needed to be under observation. "I understand," she agreed. "No matter who it is, you always need to be careful of that. I'm glad your leader is aware of that. But I assure you, I won't cause you any harm. But I will still be under observation." She stepped over the border. "Well then? Lead the way, please."
