I recently registered for this roleplaying forum, and i'm still clueless about a lot of things. I guess I should make a bio, but I don't exactly know how. Can anyone help?? I'd like to join the Icewings.

I noticed that every dragon has a bio, and I'd like to create one to join the Icewings. Apparently you need permission or something along those lines to post your bio. (i'm very new and kinda confused :DD)

Yes, you need to have a character app (bio) and it needs to be approved by a staff member before you can start roleplaying. But you don't need permission to post one.

Do I just post a topic with my dragon's bio (Icewings)? I tried to post a topic and didn't let me..?

Yes, you post it in the Create Your Dragon section. Hm. Sometimes that happens, it's happened to me a few times. Not sure why.

Yes, in Approved Icewings, I tried to post a topic there.

Oh. You can't post there. That's only for approved apps and only staff can put them there. Go to Create Your Dragon, then click New Post, like you would for posting a topic in this section.

Ah! Okay.. o.o I've seen what bios look like and i'll try it out. Although, is it possible to get a template for a bio?

Alias: (Your dragon have an alias that they sometimes go by? An alias is something that also either named after what they are good at, or an adjective or descriptive phrase expressing a quality characteristic of the person or thing mentioned. Also known as an epithet)
Age: (How old is your dragon.)
Gender: (Male or Female)
Sexuality: (Heterosexual, homosexual, pansexual, ect.)
Personality: (What is your dragon's personality? Please make it detailed.)
Fears: (What does your character fear? All dragons have at least one fear, and nobody should put None or N/A. It can be a phobia or whatever.
Strengths: (What is your dragon good at? Both physical and mental strengths must be included)
Weaknesses: (What is your dragon's weaknesses? All dragons should have one, if not more.)

General Appearance
Height: (How tall your dragon is)
Scales: (What color and how is it designed)
Eyes: (Eye color)
Appearance: (Your character's general appearance. Weapons and other accessories must be included)

Tribe Information and Status
Tribe: (Which one of the 7 dragon tribes does your dragon belong to)
Inheritance: (Are you a pure breed of your tribe, or crossed? If so, what's the cross?)
Rank: (What rank is your dragon)
Family: (Does your dragon have a family? Who are they?)
Mate: (Your dragon's mate. You may put N/A if you do not have one)

Hello, Daybreak! I'm Cosmos, and welcome to DRF, we're glad to have you! I noticed that Baldirak has already guided you plenty, but allow me to put in my two cents as well.

When it comes to roleplaying, it is important to get to know the community beforehand, as it always seemed to enhance roleplaying experiences for others. Of course, this is not required, but it does help put you out there! Most new members' first topics/threads are usually open ones. Don't know what that is, then take a look at the following:

* An Open topic is a roleplaying thread where anyone can join and participate in.

* A Closed or Private topic is a roleplaying thread specific to just one or more people. If you are not invited to the thread, you cannot roleplay in it.

*An Invite Only is a thread similar to Private trheads, but you need to ask permission to join! Be considerate!

I recommend making an open thread first, as I think it would help start your roleplaying career here! Now, we don't have many areas on the forum for you to roleplay,most of it is created by the roleplayer. The only places that have a specific location are the Tribe territories, so when roleplaying in your icy kingdom, be aware of it's design!

I also recommend plotting with others. Take time and create a story with other people and roleplay it out, I have found that plotting is both fun and useful when it comes to bigger scale roleplaying, such as site-wide events and threads with congestion.

Anyway, that's my advice. If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask ME your staff team or friendly community! Happy roleplaying!

I've been looking at the tribe rps for reference of the way DRF roleplays here (many of which are outdated). I have roleplayed before many times and I don't think there will be any problems :3

You might know Tahki, yes? Aviur (Firewing) and Tahki are having an rp (Celtic Song). It says open, am I allowed to join? Aviur made the post and it looks like Tahki joined. I'd like to join them, but I won't make it seem like I swooped out of nowhere.
