Family Ties (Siaga)

The EarthWing King sat above ground, basking in the rays of a young sun. Birds sang and crickets tried to outsing them. Dew still clung tightly to the grass. The great Dragon opened his eyes and let a long breath leave his nostrils. He looked around, taking in the tranquilty of the morning and the peace it brought him. If only all his morning could start this way... Baldirak was expecting his adopted brother, Siaga, to visit soon. The larger EarthWing had wanted to speak with him about something. Wondering what that could be, Baldirak finally got up and stretched a little before making his way down into the tunnel he had been sitting atop and into the Haven. It didn't take long to reach his den because he had placed this surface tunnel near it. And that meant less stress on his leg. The King didn't expect to see Siaga yet because it was so early in the morning, but he wasn't at all surprised to see his Royal Guards, Hapax and Hamnet, at there usual posts outside his den. "Hapax, Hamnet. Good morning."

The twins only bowed their heads in reply to their King. Baldirak had ordered the pair not to speak at all for two days. The two were constantly annoying their fellow EarthWings with nothing but their words. But the reason the pair had been forbidden from speaking was purely out of curiosity. Baldirak wanted to know if they were capable of not speaking to each other. Of course if any asked, he had punished them for bickering too much or some such thing. It may have been a lie, but certainly a believeable one. With a chuckle at the twins' clear dislike of having to be quiet all day, Baldirak stepped into his den. There he sat and read some old scrolls while he waited for Siaga to arrive.

Curiousity and hope filled siaga's mind as he was finally going to meet his brother. The large Earthwing had always been alone, due to guilt from thinking losing his family in the first place was because of him. He had always thought his family was gone because he was such a cowered, but meeting baldirak was different, as he never grew up with baldirak, he just knew that he had an adopted brother who happened to be the king and never really got to know him or meet him because Siaga was always filled with guilt and didn't want to show his face to the Earthwing tribe.

When morning came, Siaga woke up a bit late, yawning and getting up slowly and stretching out his massive body as he woke up, he was nervous more then curious though, thinking to himself Am I actually gonna do this. he didn't know what to do when he met Baldirak, he didn't know if he would judge him for being such a massive coward. He was scared. But still, Baldirak was his brother and he would have to get to know him at some point, plus he did want to know if his assumptions of what the Earthwings weren't thinking of him, were true.

Siaga took a step outside his cave, he felt uncomfortable leaving his home, but he had to get used to it. Siaga spread out his wings, and took off, flying to the location of Baldirak's den. Soon landing nearby and standing there, too scared to do anythingn else.

The King paused in reading his scrolls when he felt a tremor in the earth. They stopped just short of the outside of his den. That must be Siaga, he thought and put away his scrolls whole he waited for the EarthWing tto come in. Hapax and Hamnet looked at the larger EarthWing who landed nearby but didn't say anything. Hamnet gestured for Siaga to eneter Baldirak's den.

Siaga stared at the other Eathwings in front of the den, he assumed that they worked for Baldirak, but at the same time he was terrorfied because he was always scared whenever he'd see Dragons he had never met before. He was shaking and sweating nervously, but eventually he was brace enough to walk inside Baldirak's den slowly, still scared. As he saw Baldirak, he slowly and nervously said "... Hi."

A quiet and nervous-sounding voice moved through the empty air and reached the King's ears. He looked up, quite a ways up, at the EarthWing before him. Being a child of Cosmos, Siaga was destined to be a very tall Dragon of 300ft. He was nearly there at 295ft tall... and Baldirak was very glad he had made the ceiling of his den tall enough to accommodate every EarthWing. With a stamp of his paw Baldirak called upon the earth, raising what he sat upon so he could be at Siaga's eye level. "Hello, Siaga. How are you adjusting to the Haven?"

Siaga felt his heart beating wildly as he only became more nervous once the king turned to him. Siaga started to sweat a bit, getting even more nervous when the ground underneath Baldirak raised. He couldn't believe he was talking to someone like this. He listened to Baldirak's question, taking a bit longer then Baldirak would hope to, only because he didn't know what to say. After awhile, he gulped before answering. "I... It's good so.. far... It... It's just.. really new for me." he replied nervous tone.

"That's good. Is there anything I do for you? Are there any questions I can answer?" Baldirak watched Siaga. He looked--and sounded--very scared.

Siaga gulped one more time as the king spoke again, thinking of what to say. "Uh.... Not really... I usually like to... just be alone, so as long as the home is... is fine.. I'm fine." he responded, once again nervously.
