Alone (Open to all)

Snowflake was tired of being lonely, she didn't have any friends, mainly because most dragons thought she was strange or weird because of her imaginary friend Frosty. Frosty was an imaginary friend, created to keep her company when her parents died, she thought he was real, but nobody could see him, due to him being imaginary. Other then her imaginary friend, Snowflake had nobody to keep her company and she always played in the snow with Frosty, but everyone else saw her playing with nothing.

She decided to go beyond the snow and into a forest where she could possibly have more of a variety of dragons to become friends with and accept who she is.  She left her icy cave and went down to the path she usually took, but this time, going farther, leaving the Icewing territory. The fluffy ice dragoness left the snowy area and arrived at a meadow, where she started to get scared as she walked through the nice meadow surrounded by flowers. But as she got scared, she became talking to Frosty and got a bit more happier, but if someone else saw her, she would be talking to nothing.

"Three."

Flaming claws were drawn from their sockets, the tiny flames that coated their surface dancing with the wind.

"Two."

Two wings were stretched from the vermilion body, while a breath of steam escaped crimson nostrils. Golden, almsot pupiless eyes narrowed in determination, while a red brow furrowed in concentration.


"One."


Drawing his head back into an S shaped position, Aviur released a blast of fire that scorched the bushes in front of them, setting them alight and blackening them to mere crisps, while the baby tree they were clustered around was reduced to a bitter shadow of it's former self, it's leaves disappearing into thin air, gone with the wind.

Looking at the ground, Aviur grinned wickedly before unleashing a stream of crimson flames at the earth, creating a black circle around him. Once the ends met, Aviur leapt into the air and breathed fire at the very center, creating a fuzzy looking dot directly in the center of the circle.

Aviur was playing around with nature and fire, two things you shouldn't play with. The saying, "Playing with Fire," applied to him, certainly. There was a reason he was known as the "Wrecking Ball" of the Firewings. If there was a job that involved burning things, Aviur would be winning hundreds of medals by the hour.

He had decided to practise honing his fiery talents in a meadow with several flowers dotting it's jade surface. He wanted to learn how to make thin, precise and exact lines of scorched earth. In case, for any random reason, he needed thin fire lines.


Touching down outside of his little circle, Aviur folded his wings, then got an idea. Leaping into the air again, he angled his neck a certain way and started blasting thin streams of fire at the ground.

Breathe, stop, breathe breathe, stop.

This went on for quite a while as Aviur worked his way around the meadow, making huge lines of black along the ground. When he was sure he was finished, he ascended high enough he could see his handiwork, and was impressed with the results.

On the ground, taking up thirty feet of space, was a series of letters spelling, "Aviur," in dragon's tongue. "Nice," he grinned.

It had been quite a long time, hadn't it?

Alphonse thought, as he walked through the trees, that were surprisingly tall around these parts. Well, he knew it had been a long time, but for some strange reason, he couldn't quite figure out why he still felt so young. After all, to everyone else, it had been about fifteen years. To them, it only felt like one-two years had passed since they had first appeared in this universe full of dragons. The tall, golden dragon let out a sigh.

And they still weren't any closer to finding answers.

Edward had insisted they visit the other tribes, but Al had to continue to remind him that they would probably kill him if they found him. Not to mention the NightWings. He had heard that the NightWings were very brutal when it came to outsiders wandering into their territory uninvited. The other tribes might forgive Al, but the NightWings certainly wouldn't. And they would probably kill Ed on sight, despite Al's protests.

After reaching a meadow, the giant, golden, maned, eight foot tall rogue dragon flop down, sighing. He saw Ed climb over his head and blink down at him. He knew his brother was growing agitated. And so was Al, he just didn't like showing it. They couldn't even go back to the EarthWings, for fear they could kill Ed. Not that Al knew where the EarthWings were, anyway. They had apparently gone underground, and Al didn't know the entrance.

"We could always go to one of the shrines," Al suggested. This caused Ed to huff. They had heard of the dragon gods, but Ed highly doubted they'd be able to take them home. They weren't even sure what brought them here in the first place.

Suddenly, there was a large blast of fire in the distance. This caused Al's ears to perk up. The tiny human on his head almost fell over at his sudden movement.

"What was that???" Ed asked, confused.

"I don't know, but we should probably stay away from it...." the massive rogue commented, watching the fire as it would blaze away at something he couldn't see. Distracted by the fire, Alphonse also didn't notice Snowflake, who was coming this way.

Sicarius stopped, relatively confused.
Since when did he get near snow?
He had absolutely no idea. His mindless traveling in search for some form of home and food led him to many a strange place, but how did he get to snow? He already knew that wasn't good. He didn't cope well with rapid temperature change, after all.
Sicarius stayed in the meadow, only kind of close to the snow. It was still pretty chilly, but that couldn't be helped.

The decently huge Wyvern stretched out his wings, flapping them up and down to shake the dirt and dust off; his eyes darted around, almost as if he was alarmed by something.
The reason behind this was he heard fire. He heard talking.
He heard other Dragons.
He shook his head, snorting as the thought of others crossed his mind. Sure, he didn't really care, but he didn't really want them crowding him either; they'd get in the way all of the time.

Sicarius's head perked up suddenly and rather quickly.
A very distinct call came from near him. The call of prey.
He immediately threw himself to the ground, soon after spotting a fairly large deer. Of course, nothing special for a predator of his size, but he was still extremely hungry. It'd been way too long since he'd been able to eat.
He had found a pond earlier, so he was not thirsty, and he nearly ate as well. There had been a fish in said pond.
Sicarius, apparently, did not like fish, for as soon as it had gone down his throat, it had come right back up.
It was messy, and just the thought of such an event made Sicarius feel sick.

He stalked around, filtering himself through the tall grass, which was quite short to him, to get to the back of the deer. He had started at the side, so it hadn't seen him.
It would never see him either.
He took note of the large rock face near the deer.
Sicarius got his snout right up near it, only about 10 ft away.
He raised himself up, taking two silent steps forward and raising his head up, bending it into an S shape, before twisting his head ninety degrees and grabbing the deer around the waist. He picked it up as the poor creature screamed for help, but to no avail.
But he couldn't have it alerting his other food, so he swiftly tossed it in the air, his hook like teeth digging into the back half of the deer, with the front half still sticking out.
He made sure he had a good grip, and he stood parallel to the rock, swinging his head to the right, winding up,  and throwing his head to the left, driving the tiny things head into the rock. The animal's skull, neck, and spine were almost certainly broken now.
Just to make sure though, he lifted his head up, throwing it into the ground.

Well, that ordeal was over with now, so he ate it.
Nobody around to disturb him.
After all, alone was best.

Snowflake continued her walk through the meadow, enjoying talking to her friend Frosty. She was talking about games and things to play with, with nothing, but in her head, she was talking to a male Icewing, known as frosty. As she continued her walk, she noticed the differences between the Icewing territory and where she was now. Nice green grass and flowers that came with all different types of colors, around the area.

She stopped to admire the new land that she came upon, turning around from time to time to admire the trail of snowflakes she left behind, but as she looked around, she noticed black lines around the meadow, Frosty told her to investigate real quick and Snowflake went towards one of them slowly, finding out that it was an ash mark. Snowflake jumped back in terror, as she has a huge weakness of fire, she looked up and around and saw a firewing, a bit smaller then her.

Firewings were her worst nightmare, she didn't like to be around then due to one fire blast hurting her majorly. She began to back away from the location, scared that the Firewing might attack her. As she backed away she noticed an Earthwing, she had a feeling that this a very bad place to be at and wanted to go home, but Frosty told her to stay, so she nodded and backed away from the ash marks, then stood there, scared, hoping that nobody would attack her.

Avian did a wide barrel roll, then a back flip, hovering about the place and enjoying the feeling of flight. Humans could never had this. They could never have this freedom. Only dragons could fly like this. No bird could match the wings of a dragon.

It made him proud.

Grinning, Aviur raised his head and blasted fire into the sky as a display of pride and playfulness. The power of fire.. it was beautiful. It was.. his.

Suddenly, he spotted movement out of the corner of his eye. Looking to his left and down, Aviur spotted a dragon with dark and light blue fur and what looked like green eyes backing away from his letters. Looking up, he noticed an Earthwing. Huh, he himself was pretty cute.

Looking down at the female again, Aviur grinned when he realised something. She was scared?

Oh, this would be fun.

Raising a brow as she nodded, Aviur silently landed behind her, touching down softly. He admitted, she was pretty cute. He tossed his black horns, put on a smirk, and spoke.

"Hello."

Alphonse wasn't sure how long it had been. A minute? Thirty seconds? However long it had been, the fire soon departed, leaving the meadow partially burned. Alphonse stared for a moment, unsure if he should leave or not. Where there were FireWings, there was bound to be trouble. Al had heard of the war that had been started between the humans and the FireWings and NightWings. He didn't want Ed to suffer from that. From what he had heard, the humans had lost. Badly.

Cautiously, Al would pick up Ed, who briefly protested, before setting him in his mane. He glared back at his brother with a dangerous seriousness. "Stay there, and don't you dare make a noise." he didn't mean to sound intimidating, it just came out that way.

Nonetheless, Ed remained quiet, watching the large, golden dragon as he rose to his feet. Al had seen the fire dragon fly down, and now noticed the female ice dragon. She looked rather uncomfortable at the sight of the FireWing. So maybe he'd go talk to them.

Approaching rather cautiously, Al would pipe up, making sure the human in his mane was hidden. "Hello!" he wasn't quite sure what else to say, so he hoped this was enough. "What's a uh, FireWing like you doing so far from your tribe."

He knew it sounded awkward. But what else was he suppose to say?

It had been so long and felt as if it were an eternity. Now she had returned. Well, no...not quite returned. She was not with the IceWing tribe, but instead just barely outside the territory. Frost mainly stuck to the clouds, lazily flying around as a million thoughts buzzed in her head. She could only imagine what changes were made while she was gone, then again a part of her did not care.

Being the social type was a non-existent quality of hers that she was all too proud of.

Soon the smell of smoke and freshly burnt grass pulled her away from her own thoughts, causing Frost to peer through the clouds and see what was going on below. "More dragons." she muttered. "How delightful." she said in a sinister tone.

Aviur had been smirking at the dragoness as he awaited a response, when a male voice caused him to stiffen. Lashing his tail, he whipped his head around, teeth bared, to see the same EarthWing he'd seen at a distance just moments before.

Turning towards him, he stopped baring his teeth and closed his jaws, a brow raised. "Practising," came the simple reply. Tensing his haunches, he leapt into the air above their heads and hovered a good few metres off the ground. Without another word, he turned his head and blasted fire at the nearby tree, burning the top of it to a crisp and causing the charred skin of the log to start peeling away.

Looking back at the EarthWing, Aviur spoke. Aviur, Citezan of the FireWing Tribe, also known as the Wrecking Ball," He introduced himself with pride in his impossibly bright yellow eyes. Flapping his wings, he loosely circled the two before landing near the female again. "You race much?" The question came out of his mouth before he could stop it. In an effort to make up for his slipped tongue, he put on a competitive smirk, but with playfullness in his eerily bright eyes.

Snowflake's eyes widen when the Firewing landed behind her, she slowly turned around to the slightly smaller Firewing. She admitted, he did look handsome, but she still remembered her weakness. He was smaller then her, but she was still frightened, just of the thought of getting blasted by fire and being hurt majorly. After a while, Frosty nudged her and she shook her head around as she realized she was just staring at him for no reason.

She didn't notice him going to the Earthwing because she zoned out, but she did remember him saying 'Hello' and then asking a question. Snowflake had never raced before and whenever she runs, it's running from enimies or running from Frosty during tag, but once again, Frosty is only an imaginary friend. "... Uh... H.. Hi... I... I'm Snowflake..... And no..... I... Don't race." she replied nervously as Frosty told her to reply.

Aviur raised his other brow when he noticed the female IceWing was staring at him for no apparent reason. After a moment of awkward silence, he locked eyes with the EarthWing male, blinking slowly.

When she spoke, he shifted his gaze to her, sifting his weight from one shoulder to the other. Snowflake? his mind echoed her name. Nice. And she didn't race? A pity.

"You don't? A pity, you're built for speed, from what I can tell," he said, swishing his tail as he gestured to her. "Not.. Like I was staring or anything, I'm no creep," he added, hoping he didn't seem creepy now.

Looking at the EarthWing, he spoke again. "You race? I'm itching for a good chase," he asked. It was true. He was itching to get moving. He glanced at the female and added, "If you want, we can race. It's easy. You just have to get from point A to point B the fastest."

Snowflake continued to listen to the Firewing as she slowly started to clam herself, she wanted to calm down, so she didn't have to deal with being nervous anymore, she could actually have a chance at getting a friend, but there were 2 issues. One was that he was a Firewing and her weakness would definitely get in the way and 2 was frosty. Frosty was her imaginary friend and the only reason she didn't have friends, is because most dragons thought she was strange or weird, due to her talking and playing to absolutely nothing.

She slowly looked back at the male Firewing as Frosty reminded her that someone was talking to her. 'Built for speed?' She never thought of herself being fast, but she was definitely fluffy. "Oh.. Th... Thanks.... I guess I could try it out and see how it goes." she responded in a much calmer tone.

Sicarius reared his head back mid bite, hearing the commotion grow louder.
Great, just great.
Absolutely, positively, great.
He hissed to himself obviously displeased with the 'annoyances'.
Sicarius shook his head; albeit he was extremely angry with the fact that any prey item is probably long gone from either the deer's scream, or the commotion being caused by the others.
He grunted.
He was curious about one thing, though.... There was a strange scent, unlike that of any he'd ever smelled before. Eh, whatever, he dismissed it as nothing.
So there he went, off on his merry way to go and make sure that whoever was there wasn't an annoyance in the sense they'd be too arrogant to take him seriously.
As long as they feared him, they were fine. Anybody too prideful would be considered an annoyance and would seriously threaten his food supply, since his first impression would classify Sicarius as a threat.
As usual.

It was a bit weird, approaching the FireWing. Alphonse wasn't used to talking to other dragons, especially considering his previous experiences with them. And he as a bit nervous, to be completely honest. But he had to remind himself that these weren't EarthWings. There was no way they would recognize him. And if they did, he had enough power to get away easily. Not that that was possible. They all looked pretty young anyway.

When the dragon suddenly charged up to him, he flinched. He also felt Ed's grip on him tighten. Luckily, the dragon didn't attack, but instead circled around them, stopping to stand in front of the mysterious ice dragoness, and asking her if she liked to race.

When she said she didn't he turned to Alphonse, and asked him the same thing. He blinked a moment. Behind him, Ed growled. Don't accept the offer. Don't accept it. Don't accept it."Sure, I could go for a race." God damn it!

Alphonse said, with a small smile. He remembered the last time he had raced. Besides, it would be fun. Especially since the mysterious snow dragon seemed to change her mind. He hadn't stretched his wings in a while. He would just have to remember to drop Edward somewhere before they started...

He knew Ed would hate him for doing this. They had more important things to be doing. But Al was stressed and he needed something to take the edge off. Maybe flying would help. Or running. Whichever was good.

Aviur laughed at SnowFlake's response. "That's the spirit!" Looking back at the EarthWing male, he raised a brow, awaiting his response. To his surprise, it was a yes. After a moment of what seemed like hesitation, of course. Was he really that creepy looking?

He smirked. "Great!" Turning his back on the two, he scanned the area, before nodding.

"Okay, we start at the starting line, and on my count of three, we start. We fly straight up until you can see the southern volcano of the FireWing territory. Thats when we dive and we race into those trees, go up through the canopy, double back, and race back here. Sound good?"

After he said this, he looked at SnowFlake. "Stand back," he warned her, before he stepped to the side and forward, and blasted his flames into the ground, drawing a thick black line, burning the grass to a crisp and turning the ground black.

Standing in the middle of the line and leaving enough space for the two on either side, he grinned and nodded. "Feel free to back out," He teased.

Snowflake's eyes widen at the thought of racing, with the sight of a volcano included. Snowflake never wanted to see or be a volcano, Frosty continued to tell her that it would help her make friends, but Snowflake decided to go her own path and quit out before she had a chance of getting hurt. "... Uh... Sorry... But.... I change my mind.... I don't like volcanos.... I... Am weakened to fire." she responded slowly.

Snowflake soon realized that she just told the Firewing that her weakness was fire. Frosty knew that she messed up and so did she. Snowflake started getting very nervous as the Firewing now knew her weakness. She now hoped that he wouldn't take that as his advantage.

(Pre rework Sicarius)

He crouched, peeking his head out through the tree line.
He saw one small Dragon, another one that was burning everything around him, and an Earthwing that was, of course, larger than he was. Earthwings were always big and calm. Firewings were 50 50, and so were Icewings.
Skywings and Seawings could usually be intimidated by Sicarius, since they were usually smaller.
The Icewing looked shaky and scared, the Firewing was quite difficult to tell, and the Earthwing was, of course, calm.

Sicarius stood up, no longer caring if he was seen or not. These Dragons weren't a threat at all, but yet, there was that smell again.
He was still putting it off for now, but he did wonder what it was, so he slowly stalked over to them.

When the FireWing spoke up, this caused Alphonse to raise a hesitant eyeridge at him, as he told him the route they were going to be taking. "Um, not that I have a problem with that plan, but isn't the Firewing territory at least a two day flight from here?" after all, Pyyria was a very big continent. There was no way they could race from the edge of IceWing territory all the way to FireWing territory. At top flying speeds, it would take at least twenty four to twenty hours.

Ed was glaring at the back of Al's head now. He didn't like being around FireWings. Last time that happened.... he shuddered. The IceWing didn't seem very happy about it either, though, her problem seemed to be with the volcanoes, not the fact that the flight would be impossible.

Al turned to say something to Snowflake, the mysterious IceWing he didn't know the name of. "Excuse me, sorry, I never got your name." he said with a kind smile.

Suddenly, there was a crushing of branches, as from the forest, a large wyvern appeared. Ed immediately froze. Good thing he was hidden, or this could end very badly. Homunculi? No problem. Giant dragons that were nearly 10 to 15 times his height, and with abilities more powerful than any alchemist he knew? No way.

Four dragons all together. A FireWing, EarthWing, IceWing and...a wyvern. Interesting indeed. Their voices were far away, too far away to hear their conversation, but watching their movements from above was good enough.

What were they up to?

She wanted to get closer, but to do so she would have to leave the safety of the clouds. The ice dragon did not intend to expose herself just yet. A puff of icy air escaped from her nostrils as Frost already began to feel impatient from just watching.

"What are they planning?" she muttered to herself.

Aviur's excited grin fell when he heard the female speak. Looking over his shoulder at her, he raised a brow. "I said until we can see it, not touch it." he chuckled.

Then the earthwing male spoke and Aviur closed his eyes for a moment. "Well, I meant as in, we climb until we can see the damn thing. Can't you see the FireWing volcanoes for miles?" He answered, tilting his head slightly as he gestured towards the far away FireWing territory. Yes, he was a firewing tribe member, two days away from his only protection. He was basically a rogue, he wasn't around the tribe that much.

He knew they probably didn't really like him. That was okay. They didn't have to. Nobody liked him anyways. He preferred it to stay that way. For good, if possible. That was why he was like this, that was why he had this hard outer shell, with several more harder layers inside until you reached his heart. It'd take some dragon to break through those barriers.


Hearing the sound of steps behind him, Aviur turned his head over his shoulder to see a mysterious looking wyvern slowly making his way over to them. Tensing, he quickly pivoted to face the wyvern, hypnotised by the way he walked. He'd never seen a wyvern before, but he knew what they were. He'd seen them in picture scrolls and stuff.

This wyvern looked.. Sinister. He didn't know wether it was just him being paranoid, or wether his gut was actually telling him something. As the wyvern stalked over to them, he noticed he hadn't spoken a word to them.

Tilting his head, Aviur spoke. "Can we.. Help you?" he asked, tilting his head the other way as he raised his left eyeridge.

Sicarius stopped a good 50 ft away, his gaze piercing the Firewing speaking to him.
He could see it from here, the Firewing had tensed up.
He just stood there, watching them. Their reaction would set the course for his answer.
His eyes walked over them, his head slowly turning to observe each and every one of them individually.
There was speak of a race previously.... Great opportunity to test their skills and see if he could outrun them if things got bad. He'd only watch, though, no point in wasting energy.
So for now, Sicarius simply stood there, a good 50 ft away, watching them menacingly.

Snowflake sighed in relief as the Firewing didn't bring up her weakness and take it to his advantage. She began to think of the race again, she knew for a fact that she wasn't good at games or any sort of competition there was, so she already knew she'd lose. Plus the thought of the volcano still scared her, so she still wanted to keep her decision the same, as she didn't want to be emberassed when she's lose. "... I know.. But... I'm still a bit scared, I'll just.. Stay here.. Ok?" she asked, nervously.

Alphonse sighed a bit when the white dragoness continued to ignore him. She seemed a bit too freaked out to pay attention to really anything besides the FireWing right now. So it wasn't really her fault, or his fault, either. So Al would sit back. When he heard Aviur talk, he nodded. A race would be fun nonetheless, and it was true you would probably be able to see the volcanoes from here. But.. it'd probably be about two hours before then.

"How about we just race to that mountain and back, instead?" Alphonse suggested, pointing towards a large, towering, snow capped mountain in the near distance. Judging by how far away it seemed, the race would take no longer than twenty minutes, at best, which would be quite fun.

Aviur suddenly turned his head. Al, curious to see what he was looking at, looked over at that direction, following his eyes. There, roughly fifty feet away, stood a wyvern. He was completely still, and just staring. To be honest, his stare was kind of unnerving, and Alphonse couldn't help but tilt his head. The stranger didn't even respond when Aviur spoke up. Odd....

Impatience and boredom began to get the best of Frost very quickly, making her become fidgety and annoyed. And the heat from the sun did nothing but make it worse for her. That would have to change.

Without further hesitation Frost began to move around the clouds, opening her mouth as a stream of blue fire erupted from her jaws. Even though the fire looked to be hot it was actually cold, freezing to be exact, which made the air cold around her.

She could feel the temperature begin to drop quickly, making her feel satisfied enough to stop her fire-breathing. The cold was comforting and relieved her of the hot sun rays that seemed to relentlessly shine down on her, much to her annoyance.

Aviur's eyes narrowed further when the wyvern didn't respond. He was.. Weird. And intimidating. He just.. Stood there. His gaze was filled with menace, his eyes cold and.. Predatory, if he was honest.

Yeah, okay Aviur said in response to the earthwing's words, not taking his eyes off the wyvern. Boldly stepping forward, Aviur closed the gap between him and the wyvern by five feet. He was wary of this dragon, it showed in his body language. His tail was lashing, and his teeth were bared slightly.

Turning his body to the side, Aviur started to circle the wyvern, then stopped after about two small steps, the way he held himself resembling that of a panther stalking it's prey. Aviur was suspisious and a little scared. Okay, more then just a little. What? He's fifteen, lay off.

The sound of shooting fire distracted Aviur, causing him to look up. Was that.. Blue fire? Being blasted in the clouds?

What the hell is going on today? Aviur thought, returning his gaze to the wyvern's eyes. After a silence from him, he spoke. What do you want? he demanded.
