Along the winds [Open]

Mei let out a sigh as it would be yet another boring and hot day. The eastern dragoness was laying outside her den, waiting in case any dragon would need her services - but truth to be told she didn't have many customers. She and Zyailor were living a bit outside the heart of the Skywing territory after all. Sure, that meant they had a whole floating island for them alone, but it was nonetheless a bit boring not to have many social interactions.
The black dragoness went inside her cave, deciding to check her stock of herbs. She was starting to run low of them. Maybe it was the moment to pay a trip to the Palace to find some fresher stocks. Her crimson mane flew around as an upward wind flowed under her, making her hover from the ground. Being wingless didn't prevent her the slightest from flying. She slithered out of her cave, flying toward the Skywing palace. Who knew, maybe she would make some interesting encounters on her way?

(*Flips* I can't roleplay Yala outside of the palace, but if Mei arrives at the palace, I can let you meet Yala )

Nestled between the stuffed animals, as usual, Yalaruh would let out a little yawn, opening her eyes just a tiny bit, and deciding to look around, making tiny chirping noises, as usual. She didn't often comprehend much of went down. All she knew was that there were big dragons who brought her food, and sometimes she'd see that nice yellow, fluffy dragon, but at the moment, Yalaruh was rather lonely. She hadn't seen another dragon for hours, which was like, centuries to a baby.

And she hadn't seen her father in days, which to her, was practically an eternity. So, as customary for a young child, she would begin to cry, her high pitched, wyvern like noises, surely drawing attention to the room. She would also claw at her stuffed animals, causing the area she was sleeping in to become quite the mess.

Mei had landed near the Palace doors when an unusual noise drew her attention. This sounded like sobbing... Was that a hatchling sobbing somewhere? She didn't have a lot to do, and so settled to find the source of the cry. Maybe she would be able to help whatever poor hatchling was crying...
Following the sounds brought her deeper and deeper within the Palace. She was starting to think she had lost trace of the cry when she finally found it. It was right behind this door. Mei carefully opened the door, quickly checking if someone else was there. All she could see was the young hatchling crying, all alone in the middle of destroyed stuffed animals. It made her feel bad that this hatchling had been crying for so long it started to deport it's sadness on toys like these... The dragoness entered the room, looking at the small one with a warm smile.
"Hey, little one, don't cry. Everything's fine. Don't cry..." she attempted to comfort the hatchling.
While gently talking with the hatchling, she circled it with her long, snake-like body so the hatchling would feel surrounded with her caring. Her long mane was running all along her body, which made it look like rather comfortable.

The small one would continue to whine, having collapsed in the pile of mangled fluff. However, her ears would focus towards the sound of the door opening, and she would look over in that direction. Another strange dragon walked through. Though at this point, Yalaruh had become adjusted to a variety of strange dragons, coming in and coming out rather hurriedly, and bringing her things like food and toys. But, Yala, was still startled by the sudden opening of the door, and she continued whining.

But quickly, the dragoness would approach her, curling around her, like some long snake. At first, Yala would struggle a bit at the appearance of some stranger she didn't know, but the company was comforting, and she soon started purring after a little while, nuzzling Mei's face.

Mei smiled as the young hatchling finally stopped crying, and instead started to purr. Her heart felt like melting when the little one even nuzzled her face, to which she gently replied. She had a weakness for kids, especially now that her and her mate were trying to get some. The long dragoness slightly shuffled, the circle she had made now a bit smaller. It was still big enough for the hatchling to move around, and it was rather... climbable if she really wanted to.
"Well little one, do you have a name?" Mei gently asked the hatchling.
She briefly wondered if anyone would come to take care of that hatchling. Her parents had to be around right?

Yala would snuggle the strange dragon, her eyes tightly closed. Her little stomach would growl loudly, and she would begin to cry again. For some peculiar reason, the nurses hadn't come in to feed the young dragon yet, and so she was absolutely starving. She twisted a bit, now that she was free of Mei's grasp, but would only succeed in falling over, falling into Mei's tail with a little thump. This caused her to bite the tail, obviously seeing something that could be food. While it caused no pain to Mei, it felt sort of like a pinch, or something soft like that.

Mei was startled when she heard the hatchling's belly suddenly starting to groan and the hatchling again started to cry. Whoever was taking care of that hatchling was doing a pretty poor job at it! She gently nuzzled the hatchling, trying to make her stop crying while she uncurled herself from around her.
"Hey, little one. Stop crying, I'm here to take care of you. I'll get you something to eat, okay? I'll be back very soon." she told the hatchling.
Mei wasn't sure her words actually mattered. That hatchling seemed too young to understand words yet. But what was important was her intonation. Her voice was sweet, warm and gentle. Almost motherly, actually. With a last nuzzle the dragoness stepped back, her long body following behind her.
It didn't take her long to find the path to the Palace's kitchens. Some of the staff was there, which was the occasion for her to ask what was going on. That was where she learned who this hatchling was - more or less the adoptive daughter of the leader. She learned that normally the Semi-Godddess took care of her, but she was currently wounded and of course the leader was too busy to deal with the hatchling. Well that didn't matter, she would take care of that poor soul until Tion came back from his work! She grabbed some food for the hatchling, and headed back to the room she was in.
"Hello back little one! Look at what I brought you!" she gently announced.
And with that she revealed the meat she was carrying. Mei started to cut the meat in small pieces that the hatchling would be able to eat, and watched as she would do so.

Just like Mei would have guessed, the hatchling didn't understand her words. Not in the least. But, at the sound of a soothing, calming voice, combined with her gentle nuzzles and comforting snuggles, Yalaruh would calm down enough to not be crying anymore. She still made little whimpering noises, but at least she had stopped crying. Now, she lay on Mei, her little arms flailed out, wings practically wrapping around the snake like dragon, her eyes wide, and still red from the tears that she had shed. Her little tail was limp, like a noodle.

When Mei unwound from Yala, and left to go get food, Yala, of course, would fidget, not happy with the comforting dragon leaving her. She would attempt to grab on to Mei, trying to use her clumsy clawed wings to attach herself to the long, comforting figure. Of course, this didn't actually work. And ended with Yala falling into a puddle of fluff, rolling down her mountain of fluffy stuff, and coming to a halt, right as Mei closed the door.

Now she must sit there. At first, she questioned in her little hatchling mind what just happened. Then she started crying again. Poor Yala. If only she possessed the skill to open doors. Unfortunately, young Yalaruh knew very little about how to do much of anything. So she just sat there, crying, while Mei went to fetch the food.

Soon, Mei returned, and of course, Yala was happy to see her. She made loud yipping noises at Mei, and attempted to crawl towards her, growing excited when she smelled something tasty. When Mei would bring the food, and started to cut it up, Yala would attempt to crawl over to her, and nom at the food.

She continued to make excited noises, all until she finally did get the food from Mei. She gobbled it up like a vacuum cleaner, practically sucking it in. She finished it quite quickly, and when she was done, she would beg for more, making loud chirping noises.

Mei felt heart warmed as the hatchling hungrily ate the food she had cut for her. She gobbled piece after piece, with that seemingly endless hunger that so many small ones had before they learned to regulate themselves. The long dragoness let out a smile as the hatchling suddenly started to beg for more after being done, making loud chirping noises. She couldn't help but chuckle at that small happy face of a satiated hatchling.
"My, my, aren't you a hungry one? You ate enough, small one. Any more and you'll get fat." she gently told her.
Mei curled around the hatchling, her long body forming a comforting nest of a sort around her as she approached her head close to the hatchling's, giving her soft nuzzles on the muzzle.
"I'm sure you must be sleepy after such a meal, aren't you little one?" she softly asked her, starting to nuzzle the top of her head.

When she was denied food, Yalaruh would begin chirping louder, nudging Mei, her wide eyes staring the dragoness down with determination. Or, well, as much determination as a young hatchling could have, anyway. Which wasn't all that much, considering they lost interest in something after about five minutes. However, food was one of those rare things that would never entirely slip from a hatchling's mind, stuck in there until sated.

As Mei curled around her, Yalaruh would nom on Mei's tail. Not hard, or playful, but rather hungrily, with a hint of tiredness as she would slowly curl up with Mei.

Mei smiled as the hatchling started to nom her tail, almost hungrily. She knew hatchlings well enough to know at that age, they could eat until their bellies were distended. The long dragoness had given the small one far more meat than enough for her not to be really hungry anymore. And, to prove that point, she looked pretty tired suddenly. Surely the food was starting to weight on her stomach.
Mei slightly shifted so that she was curled on herself. The hatchling would find itself comfortably set between two loops of her body, while Mei continued to gently nuzzle her. The hatchling would start feeling a very gentle breeze, as well as the hot breath of the dragoness. And then, Mei began to sing. It was more humming than singing, a gentle hum of a sweet melody intended to pit children to sleep.

The tune would go on for about thirty minutes, before the wriggling of the small hatchling would begin to subside, instead replaced with the gentle rise and fall of the hatchling's body, her eyes closed and her mouth half open as she took in small breaths. The music was certainly a calming a cappella, as it made Yalaruh fall asleep surprisingly fast. She soon sunk in between Mei's loops, curling up, her head still laying quietly upon Mei's body.

She looked quite peaceful, now that she was asleep. It was also a bit surprising, considering her previous behavior, but hey, she had made it work.

Mei continued to hum to the hatchling even after it started doing off, until she was certain the small one was sleeping. The small dragon was resting between two of her loops, her body curled while her head rested on top of Mei's body. Poor thing, it seemed so happy to have someone take care of it. She wouldn't lie, Mei wanted children of her own, and her and her mate were making their best to get some. But she hadn't gotten luck on that side. Seing a hatchling in need of care like this certainly triggered those instincts of hers she needed to satisfy...
But it wasn't her hatchling. Sure she could take care of her for a few hours, but she would have to leave eventually. And she was feeling bad at the idea to leave the hatchling alone again. It was so desperate for attention, the poor thing...
Mei rested her head on her own body, near the sleeping hatchling. She would be able to feel the motherly dragoness's breath softly blowing on her, maybe reaching her dreams...

Mei stayed a moment with the sleeping hatchling, smiling as she looked so peaceful. The long dragoness would set the hatchling on one of the pillows in the room, taking care not to wake her up. She really needed to go and buy some herbs, so she would use the occasion to slip out for a few minutes. Mei walked away from the hatchling, making sure not to wake it up in the process.

It took only a few minutes for her to get what she needed and get back inside the room. If all went well, the hatchling wouldn't have waken up, and Mei would just settle back next to her and wait for her to wake up.

It was the next day. Yalaruh didn't awaken until sometime in the afternoon, which was rather rare for her. Her little eyes would slowly open, and she awoke to a large bowl of food in front of her face. Well, not right in front of it. Rather a couple feet away. It had either been left by the dragoness wrapped around her (Mei) or another caretaker of Yala's. Either way, it didn't matter to Yala who had left it. All that mattered was that she was able to get to it. It smelled quite delicious after all.

So, while the snake dragon slept, Yala would struggle to attempt to get out of her grip, twisting and turning as much as it was possible for the tiny hatchling. But alas! To no avail! Mei had her right where she wanted her, and chances were that all the squirming would awaken Yala's caretaker, as well.

Mei had spent the day looking over the small hatchling, even after she fell asleep after her good meal. The long dragoness had left a moment to get some more food in case the little one would wake up during the night, but immediately came back after, making sure Yalaruh would feel nice during her sleep. Such a cute little one, left to be alone... It really was a shame. Mei had expected the caretakers to take a better care of their hatchlings ! Well, apparently she was adopted, though, but whoever adopted her wasn't taking care enough of that hatchling.

Mei woke up in the morning, feeling something squirming between two of her loops. She opened an eye, needing a few seconds to actually remember where she was. Once she reminded she had a chuckle and nuzzled Yalaruh, slightly loosening her body to let the hatchling move freely.
"Good morning, little one." she gently told her, smiling.
