First hunt in the jungle [Private with Devi]

Aakesh yawned as the sun light woke him up. Normally he would have put his paw on his eyes and tried to spare a few minutes more of sleep, but not today. Today he was too excited for that. Because today was the day he would finally get a lesson on how to hunt preys ! After mastering the art of flying, it was only the next step. Also, this meant some alone time with Devi. It wasn't that he didn't like Sleenia, but he kinda missed those days he had spend with his adoptive father only. Added to the fact he had been extremely busy recently, the young dragon sure hadn't got a lot of occasions to enjoy some time like this.
Speaking of which, the golden dragon was still sleeping, with Sleenia at his side. The previous day he had come back from his work seeming extremely tired. Should he wake him up as well ? For a few seconds he considered the idea, but he finally discarded it. Devi wasn't a big sleeper, if he still was asleep it was that he needed it. Aakesh let out a small sigh and stood up and headed toward the small stream of water that was flowing through the cave. The stream was starting to be a bit too small for him to take a bath in it. Another sign he was quickly growing up. It was annoying to know that he would have to get to the river to take baths fairly soon. So better use this stream while he could. Aakesh took his time to clean his body, spending most of it grooming his wings.

Pushing the deer towards him, showed him what to do with his claw at first. "Cut it like that, but do it in sizes you like" With Devi not really feeling that hungry he saved the boar for later, moving it over to the far end of the den. Resting close by he watched Aakesh, making sure he was alright cutting his own meal.

Aakesh carefully listened at Devi before trying to repeat the same gesture to cut smaller pieces of meat. His movements weren't really assured as it was his first time, and he was also a bit reluctant to dig his wing into the carcass.
"Like that ?" he asked after having cut a first piece. The piece was irregular, but not too much.

Chuckling slightly he replied with a smile "Yep, maybe you could become a chef when your older" patting his forehead he continued "Take your time, you have plenty" Resting his head on his paws, he continued to watch as he was still tired from this morning.

Aakesh got a smile at Devi's compliment before slightly frowning, getting concentrated in his current task. He continued to cut small pieces of meat from the carcass, some coming along nicely but some others causing some troubles, making the young dragon grunt each time. After some time, the deer was entirely cut.
"And there ! I cut everything !" Aakesh exclaimed, visibly proud of his work.

Chuckling he smiled at Aakesh, "Nice well done, though you didn't need to cut it all up" yawning slightly as his tiredness caught up to him. "Well eat up, can't beat a fresh meal" closing his eyes for a moment he crashed out and fell asleep.

Aakesh was about to enjoy his first fresh meal hunted by himself when he heard Devi literally crash asleep. At first he got worried, but the golden dragon seemed to be peacefully sleeping. He really must have been that tired... The young dragon decided to let him sleep. A small nap couldn't make any bad, could it ? So he went back to the meat he just cut and started to eat the pieces. And for sure it was tasting good ! With Devi being that busy, they weren't often eating freshly hunted meat. And on top of that, this time it was his own hunt ! That made the meat exquisite. Actually, good enough for Aakesh to eat slightly too much. Letting out a small burp, he started to feel tired as well, his body asking for a digestive nap. The young dragon headed next to Devi and settled against his flank. He soon closed his eyes as well, the comforting breathing of his adoptive father driving him to sleep.
