the beach were it all began
Poem walked days on end, looking to the left constantly staring at the horizon. he always tried to keep his feet wet thinking he would dry up if he ever left the water. it was a silly thought, but the secluded beach seemed to go on for miles as he continued north, so he didn't have to worry about it. Though actually being lost he didn't feel lost, he felt something different, a peace that was slowly washing over him. the ocean and the suns felt so warm on the backs of his wings, as they glistened with a purple hue. Poem never felt lonely only scared that someone will come and take the very feeling he loves so much.
he only hopes this beach can hide him for his lifetime. Poem continued to walk eventually stopping to rest, a gentle dream.

Re: the beach were it all began
How long had she been traveling now. Her sister was dead killed by the monsters that plagued the world the monsters she herself was ever on the run from. It had been so long since she had run from her masters in the Gifted Crystals. She'd been chasing her sister. Having run from them she couldn't go back the penalty was death. But for years she'd been roaming the skies and hadn't found anyone. She was so utterly lonely. If she even knew where she was she would have risked turning back and attempting to beg for her life. What she was doing now wasn't living.
Navi didn't even know where she was going or why she was pushing herself so much. Perhaps it was the fear of monsters or perhaps it was the desperate search to find a reason to keep going. Didn't matter, she could stay in the air any longer. Her wings were so soar she could hardly feel them. The young phoenix hadn't even the energy to flap instead choosing to glide and slowly lose altitude. She was so tired. How many days had she been awake? How long has it been since she took a break. The answer to either escaped her, not that it mattered anyway. What was the point. At that depressing thought her wings gave out. What was steady peaceful glide turned into a rapid fall the wind rushing past her so fast it was almost distracting to her clouded mind. She didn't even feel the pain of her wings breaking as she hit the beach with a loud thud and crack of her bones accompanying the plume of raining sand. She'd already passed out before then. What a coincidence she happen to land right in front of a Seawing dragon 4 times her size.

Re: the beach were it all began
Crack! Startled, Poem woke to the horrific noise that echoed through the trees. thinking that a tree probably fell he wasn't that concerned. he looked around only to find a small bird. To his surprise, he chuckled thinking he was still dreaming, after all, he hasn't seen a bird like this before Poem drearily got up and walked closer, making sure to be quiet, he raised his tail barb to strike if necessary. the bird was asleep and was in no good condition either. He lowered his barb, and as he walked closer he saw that her wings were disfigured in a matter of ways. Poem was pretty sure she would have had to fall in order to sustain these injuries. he looked up to see if anyone was possibly looking for her. a mother of some sort. but who is he to know, he has only met dragons. and most of them tried to kill him! but most of them are dead now.
Poem got closer and studied the small bird some more asking questions to himself like, where did you come From? how did you fall? he later realized he could only ask them if she was awake. if she ever wakes up at least, but not in this state. he quickly manifested a small cloth or fabric that could soak up water and spit some hot water on to it. Poem got close and started rubbing off the blood on her wings, and even in her sleep, Poem could see her wincing from the pain.
Poem tried to think of how he could get this creature help when the dreadful thought hit him. he didn't think about it, ever having to travel inland. he never wanted to before nor did he have the courage. he looked at the innocent hurt creature next to him. but this was different, this time there was somebody's life was on the line. he gently picked up the small bird and realized she was warm. he softly set her on his back. and made sure she was comfortable. then headed quietly towards the forest, in search of help.
Poem looked back and said goodbye, hoping he would come back. as they walked poem could hear her mumbling and moaning something about monsters and running. Peom felt a brief sorrow for this poor creature. the suns were almost setting, so he decided to set up camp under a tree for the night. he's not able to make fire but sleep is all she really needs. then Poem finds himself again drifting. while the bird next to him giving off a soft flickering glow, soothing him to sleep

Re: the beach were it all began
Navi found herself waking up upon a scaly surface. Though she hardly noticed that. The thing most demanding of her attention was the searing throbbing pain from her mangled wings. What an idiot she'd been. Why didn't she take a rest, now her wings were broke and couldn't fly. She'd be picked off by a monster before the sun even rose. Fighting against the pain she had a look at her surroundings. The forest? Hadn't she landed on a beach.
Straining to get a better look she slipped off the dragon she was on top of letting out a chirp of surprise. After picking herself off the ground she had a look at the dragon she'd fallen off of and quickly recognized it as a Seawing. Panic over took her mind. She'd been captured and they were going to drag her back home to be executed. But wait. The Seawing was asleep. This was her chance to escape. Instinctively the phoenix jumped in the air and flapped her wings. Her screech of pain was ear piercing as she fell the short distance back to the ground. She lay there with her wings sprawled out trying to cope with the agony of her wings. "Nice job Navi. You could have escaped by foot just fine but nooooo. Let's forget our wings are broken and wake up the dragon!" Navi chastised herself.

Re: the beach were it all began
Poem was already having enough trouble falling asleep, he has only ever slept on the sand before. and this hard ground was irritating his underbelly. the forest was a strange place to him, it was darker than the beach, yet it held more wonders than he could ever imagine.
a loud chirp broke the silence. Poem looked around, and to his surprise, the bird had woke up and was laying on the ground, shivering. he was going to say something but thought she probably wouldn't understand it. but he tried anyway. he got close and whispered, "shhh it's okay, my name is Poem I'm here to help" but it was no use, she seemed half-conscious from trying to fly away. it pains him that somewhere in the back his head he wanted this poor creature to suffer. he pushed aside the feeling and manifested the same cloth and set it next to her. he curled up closer next to the tree and fell back asleep feeling nervous, that if there are monsters. they might find him too.
