Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
First topic message reminder :
The Festival of ascendants, announced by the Archon Tenebris was to be embraced by all Dragons to be welcome within the Ebonwing Isles and Shadow’s Refuge rather than its usual seclusion only for those of Nightwing blood. The Festival traditional emphasises a veneration on the ancestors and those who had come before, yet for these current days the theme was placed upon comradely, community and entertainment to allow Dragons of all Tribes to find merriment and revelry in a time otherwise plagued with death and destruction ever since the Monster scourge bore down upon the world. The Archon found it fitting that a festival such as this what was born to celebrate natural bounty, venerating the fallen, honouring the gods and warding off bad luck was certainly needed not only for Nightwings but to all. So the invitation was just that, for all Dragons should they wish to come to Shadow’s Refugee, for a night of festivity. To this end, custom dictates one would usually wear a mask, Nightwings in particular would wear a bone like helm in the fashion of a skull over their visage to mimic the fallen ancestors they revere.
The Shadow's Refuge was refurbished and revitalised for a ceremonial occasion unlike any it had hosted before even despite the restricted resources the Nightwing Tribe could now muster, the ramparts and battlements of the Citadel and its sister institutes such as the magisterium were decorated and cosmetically made appealing with a cohort of banners and sigils reflecting the dominion of the NightWings pursuits. The bright colours and hues of blue in the form of banners filled the rocky plateau and the most central and prominent position of the Citadel itself. Attendants of the Citadel would flock to the centre of the courtyard, welcoming guests passionately and leading them up the towering stairs to the grand hall where the large draconian influenced decorated doors remained open welcoming all those within.
The large atrium which was the Grand hall was filled with works of Majesty from marble sculptures depicting Dragon imagery to the columns which supported the vast roof which seemed to have etched workings of roses and their thorns spiralling upwards across the pillars to the ever looming ceiling above. An awe-inspiring table of the highest carpentry work was then positioned like a horseshoe around the entire hall, upon it marvels of exotic and culturally favourable foods of fresh kills were displayed for the feast come. With braziers lining the walls of the antechamber which was the Grand Hall a warming humming coo filled the air in the form of a tenor tune sung by several artists which stood below the far end stain glass window which depicted a young Tenebris, his wings brazenly flared open, engrossing the entire bottom half of the stained glass window, while the depiction of the moon was risen above the iconography of Tenebris, heralding him in the Light. It would be a time to celebrate being alive, celebrate the wonders of creation and be one within a join community of all tribes. The air tasted so heavenly due to the fresh food, every delicious thing ready to be shared with friends.
The Archon, Tenebris himself already stood behind the head of the table on the dais what was usually his position for official greetings and ceremonies, waiting for others to arrive and make themselves comfortable, his imposing figure made ever more so by the adorned silver he wore across his horns and a mask decorated to appear as though a skull, with sapphires embedded around the eyes. From the far end of the hall his silhouette bore across the atrium as his eerie sapphire gaze remained dispassionate in their personal scrutiny to examine all who entered. His posture was filled with pride and regal grace as a warm smile spread across his otherwise austere features as he patiently awaited for the hall to be filled, while he did not wear the harness usually needed to restrict Mephala, allowing her to reign free this night, there would be a cushioned gold gelded stool beside his dais meant for her to be on as they welcomed any guests.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Astral was frantically searching the outskirts of Kryo. She'd already checked everywhere near their home and in Kryo. There was no telling how long she had been gone before Astral noticed. Some of the children were playing outside and she went inside to cook up some lunch. She called everyone in and noticed Aurora hadn't joined. Astral figured she'd join them soon enough, that girl rarely turned down food. When she didn't Astral went outside to go look for her but there was no sign. With each passing hour she was missing Astral's panic grew. There was no telling what kind of trouble that girl could get herself into.
Finally Aurora's name was spoken at some sort of festival in her fathers territory. Astral groaned out loud. For the most part everyone still thought she was dead but worse than that Baldirak was there and was the one to speak her name. Probably spotted the resemblance pretty quickly. She was kinda worried about what he might do to her. This would be so much easier if Aurora was just playing around in a human city or pretty much anywhere but there. She would have to disguise herself. Since her father and Baldirak were there Nightwings and Earthwings weren't an option. But Kenina wasn't there. A Firewing might be her best bet. There isn't likely to be many Lightwings, Skywings, Icewings, and especially Seawings there and that would only draw more attention. She could do a lesser species but she was aware of her fathers unfavorable view of them. Firewing it was. Astral grew to a total height of fifty feet tall. Her unique Nightfury proportions shifted to a typical strong Firewing build. Going male would make the disguise even more perfect but she wasn't quiet prepared to got that far. The color of her scales took on a solid red color. Her frill ears shifted into two horns growing out behind her head. Her wings got changed from less of a bat like structure. It wasn't long till she was completely unrecognizable.
Astral teleported to outside the entrance out of sight and then flew the rest of the way there. Making her way in she had to admit after being with humans for so long it did feel a little strange seeing dragons all around. Astral quickly found her daughter taking a ride atop Baldirak. She spoke inside Aurora's mind but she wouldn't be able to reply. 'Young lady you are in so much trouble! What are you doing here?' Probably a dumb question considering she wouldn't be getting an answer at the moment.
Aurora's body language took a drastic turn as she heard her mothers voice in her head. Her wings tensed up against the side of her body and she crouched trying to shrink herself. The frills on her head dropping.
'I'm the big bold red Firewing that just walked in. Fly over to me. We're going home. And if you're good I'll consider going easy on you.'
Aurora quickly took off from Baldirak's snout and made her was to the one she thought might be her mother. Mom had once tossed dad out on the top of a mountain when she got mad at him. If she could in any way reduce her sentence Aurora would gladly take it. Beside now she knew where this place was anyway.
Aurora landed on the head of the one she hoped was mom. "Is this you mom?" She asked.
"Yes Aurora, lets go before we attract any attention."

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
"I am," the Earth King confirmed as he sat, curling his tail around his paws. "Actually, I will get even bigger than I am now. I am still growing, you see. Hm. Speaking of growing, Young One, you ought to do a little more growing yourself, before you go wandering the world on your own. It is not safe right now, not even for one like you. Not even for a giant EarthWing like myself." He indicated his various scars and yet-to-fully-heal wounds with small flicks of his tail. "Surely your mother has told you the world is currently teeming with danger."
Before Baldirak could ask or say anything more, Aurora suddenly flew off. He followed her flight and watched as she landed on the head of a FireWing. Baldirak knew almost everyone in attendance, able to identify them solely by the vibrations their pawsteps made. But this FireWing... he had never seen her before, let alone ever felt the vibrations created by her paws. His pale blue eyes narrowed as he stood and made his way to the female. "I've never seen you before, Child of Fire. Are you a Rogue?"

Chogath smiled, dipping his head in respect. "I will eagerly await it, then. May the gods light your way, Archon." It didn't take a genius to figure out that the Archon was in a hurry, so he stepped back to allow him to leave. He noted the shiny dragon had shown as well. An impressive specimen, to be sure. However, as much use as he would be, he was a bit too sparkly for Chogath's taste in minion. Still, it would be much better to get to know this fellow than to just walk away. After all they at least had one thing in common; wanting something from the Archon.
"So what brings you here, friend? Other than the festivities, of course," he chuckled, joined by Kog.

Noctis Jr. arrives at the festival especially excited since the date is also shared with the day of his hatching. Eclipse and Noctis Sn. follow close behind with their younger NightWings in tow.
Noctis, go have fun. Just don't stir up trouble like you did last year.
"Okay Mom, I promise." He walks off while looking around
Behave yourself son, if you anger the Archon like last year. We won't be able to withhold his judgement.
Noctis Jr. nods as he checks out the festivities on display.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Tenebris had left his conversation at this point and began almost fanatically manoeuvring himself through the entourage of attendees at the Festival, his ire focused completely upon Baldirak, and as he approached, he lost all formalities of gracefulness and he attempted to move with a swift serpentine like purpose, yet it would display his limp on his left hindleg prominently as he strode forward, he reached Balidraks side just as he spoke the young ones name. Aurora Tenebris thought internally, if his assumptions were correct this was the very young hatchling or rather half breed shown to him in his vision provided by the God Paradox himself, while regaining his composure beside the great green, the Archon’s usually solemn emotionless visage faltered as his eerie sapphire shrewd glare appeared wide open in an almost gleeful expression, his maw had spread open into a wide almost uncharacteristic smile due to his gleaming white fangs compared to his otherwise dark foreboding colours, yet his features due to the scarification upon the right side of his visage caused his smile to contort and twist into more of a wolfish sadistic sneer.
Remaining silent, waiting for his moment to announce himself to the young one without insulting Baldirak in a manner which would be considered rude, he watched with an intense stare fixated upon the young Nightfury without falter. It was through this scrutiny upon the young hatchling, that Tenebris noticed her tensing and her attention turning from Baldirak to a different direction, instantly Tenebris followed the Nightfury’s line of sight to see what had caught her interest, what was fascinating was no shout was called above the crowd within the festival, no immediate signs what could have warranted such a response. The reality though Tenebris knew that this hatchling was a child of the moon and stars, a Daughter of Astral, to which end could hold any number of Godlike powers herself. It was as Tenebris noticed what had caught the Hatchlings attention as she now faced a Firewing what stood at the large archway entrance of the Grand hall, a Firewing.
Immediately Tenebris’s mind began to race internally, what was of a curious nature was why a Firewing would have any connection with the young Hatchling of a God. It dawned on Tenebris that a number possibilities could be transpiring, the most worrying of which being that this Firewing was in fact an Agent of Keninia, the Firewing Queen. Perhaps, the Archon thought that the isolation of the Imperium’s Queen and her apparent misery and weariness brought on by the Monster Scourge was just that, a facade and a rumour. It could be possible that Kenina was in truth still up to her subtle machinations, perhaps even in contact with Astral. Such a musing brought a somewhat fervent anger within Tenebris enough for him to be forced to restrain an audible snarl under his breath, the idea that Kenina not only knew the location of Astral, but in turn perhaps even knew about her half breed hatchlings and her Human mate would instantly be a threat to Tenebris’s motives, in truth she could even be protecting the former Goddess. Tenebris initially didn’t want to cause a scene but as he noticed the young hatchlings wings spread open about to take flight towards the Firewing, the Archon had to make a move.
Tenebris could not confront the Firewing as it would appear if in truth she was in fact an agent of the Imperium's Queen that Tenebris would be defying her will, and cause somewhat of a diplomatic incident. While a public scene was something Tenebris desired to avoid, in this situation there was in truth a need, a need in which should he be able to control would keep things in his favour. Long the Archon had played the game of intrigue and this would be just one more adaptation like so many before he had to adjust from his initial plots to still achieve his desired goal.Flaring his wings open once more, he flung himself in the direct path the Hatchling would be taking towards the Firewing, he leaned back, standing on his hindlegs in a dramatic theatrical like stature, his wings still spread open as the reflective silver scales caught the dancing light cast off of them by the burning braziers what dotted the Grand Hall chamber. “Brothers and Sisters, in this time of unity, as we stand together as kin I must announce here and now, that yes this is a time to rejoice for us all, we together we place the first stones down together, what will in time become the foundations of a move what will see our kind once more take our sacred duties as the custodians of this world by fulfilling the will and great plan Shadras himself set forth for all Dragonkind, as in the future we move as one to reclaim our world from these forsaken blighted monsters. However, as an initial sign that we are all truly blessed. I myself have something deeply personal to find rejoice in, in this moment”.
Tenebris’s words radiated through his usual elegant yet domineering speech as he attempted to call everyone’s attention to himself, before then gesturing with his ink stained talons towards Aurora “Behold, my long lost Granddaughter, Aurora, thought lost with our God of the Moon and Stars, Astral, when the Monsters descended upon us all, but see now that this can only be an omen to a glorious future for us all. I welcome you Aurora, I welcome you home”. Tenebris’s expression returned to his usual contorted grin as he lowered his talons once more to the ground, folding his wings as he lowered his rear in a seated position upon the cold obsidian floor, he made himself a note to still be blocking the direct path of the Firewing what would be behind him. In truth, Aurora couldn't ever have returned for she was truly never found, yet Tenebris maintained the facade, he knew who this hatchling was, and he knew she was at this moment of paramount importance to the Archon's own future. His announcement also caught the attention of both Hastur and Seth, the two Inquisitors, slowly now moving from their positions to flank Tenebris at a suitable distance as if appearing to be yet other revellers of the festivities attempting to not broadcast their actions to cause any suspicion, while in truth being ready to stand at Tenebris’s side should things spiral out of control, at this unplanned announcement.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
The NightWing Archon's approach was not lost to the King. In fact, it was impossible for Baldirak to not notice Tenebris' hurried steps, hurried steps that sent shockewaves of sharp pain up his tender right forepaw and into the leg. The EarthWing turned to look at Tenebris. "Has someone lit a fire beneath your tail, Tenebris? What is your hurry?" But the NightWing seemed overly interested in Aurora, staring at her with an intensity that unsettled Baldirak. He turned away from Tenebris without waiting for his reply to resume speaking with the Hatchling. But Aurora jumped off his snout suddenly to fly away. And then Tenebris jumped in front of her, blocking her path. The act triggered a paternal instinct in the King; he raised his paw to stop Aurora from going further and bring her back to the safety of his snout; he hissed meancingly at the NightWing Archon; his wings opened slightly and his head lowered; the end of his tail lashed to and fro with severe agitation. For a moment, it seemed as though Baldirak was going to fight... But just as quickly, Baldirak snapped out of it, aware of his overraction--even if it had been instinctual and therefore out of his control. Baldirak went around Tenebris as the NightWing made an announcement that he didn't pay attention to. The King's attention was now on the newly-arrived FireWing that Aurora had been about to fly to. "Do you know this Hatchling, FireWing?" Baldirak asked as he approached. It was obvious enough that Aurora recognized the newcomer, but Baldirak put wariness in lieu of obviousness, given the little incident that just occurred.

Noctis wanders about enjoying the food and looking around. His eyes fall upon the Archon Tenebris which he carefully watches from afar. He ponders to himself. {What are you up to Lord Tenebris?} He carefully moves about the crowd keeping the Archon in his sight.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
So much was going on all of a sudden. Aurora took off from Baldi. He brought a huge paw up to guide her back onto him. It was unexpected and she slammed into it letting out a scream of suprise mostly. With her small size and high voice it came out as more of a squeak. She quickly recovered and easily took off this time being sure to avoid any further obstruction by giant of a dragon. Mom would not tolerate tardiness regardless of the reason and Aurora wasn't keen on finding out what creative punishment mom would have for her.
Her hurried flight towards the disguised mother was once again blocked, this time by the long winded important looking one. He started blabbering about nothing as far as she was concerned yet when she tried to fly around him he actively blocked her using his spread wings. It was really frustrating her and she was getting near the point of giving him a little electric jolt.
Before she was given the chance though he suddenly introduced her to everyone as his granddaughter, what!? He knew moms real name too. Turns out Celestia the name she's know her by for most her life is a fake human name. Why does mom have to be so confusing. This all was confusing. Aurora didn't know what to do now. Hovering in place she just looked around at everyone uncertain. Ones thing for sure. Anyone but mom tried to touch to touch the uneasy hatchling they'd be in for a shocking suprise.
Astral growled as she watched both Tenebris and Baldirak blocking Aurora from reaching her. It took all her will power not to reveal herself and force her way to her daughter putting anyone down who got in her way. If she did that though there was sure to be a lot of dragons trying to stop her. She'd have to use her more force than any normal dragon should be capable of. But maybe that's the best option right now.
But then dad just had to make that announcement. Damn him what was he doing! Astral thought he would be smart enough to know they were in hiding and would want privacy! It was especially unlikely dad would let Aurora go anywhere without him or me now.
Maybe she could talk to him and contain this. Like with Aurora she'll speak to him through a one way telepathy that carried her natural voice.
'Dad, I'd appreciate it if you didn't include me or my daughter in your politics. Can we talk somewhere privately? I'm the bold red Firewing.'
Baldirak just had to approach her and asked if she knew Aurora. She probably should have considered this possibility but didn't have an answer prepared.
She spoke to Tenebris's mind again. 'Uh and don't suppose you could help me out over here?'

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
'Please please please help Kelarth...' Incus thought, gliding through the air low above the treetops. He prayed hard for luck and confidence hoping that what he was about to do was worth it. Incus hated crowds, he hated having to talk to others, he'd rather be alone. But in order to survive better and cope with his fear the Nightfury would need to attend a big party or something. That festival he snooped by earlier.
Sometimes, as an old friend said, you have to run before you walk. That was both easily said and done, but the consequences weren't great. Incus was a loner, because of his fear of people in general he remained a hermit. His mother and siblings were dead, most of dragon kind were dead, and any friend he made either died or just disappeared. That's just how things worked nowadays, so the Nightfury just kept to himself and away from all else.
This day though he was going to attempt a change. Incus knew not dragons were bad, he had met few and befriended others. Safe to say he like other species beside dragons especially when he was more of an "in-doors" hatchling once, always trying for the comfort of mother and father. He sighed heavily, his thoughts clearing up as his heart raced, nearing the building or whatever courtyard these larger creatures were in. Incus only neared 20ft in height, maybe more or less, he never kept track with nonsense like that. Regardless as he approached the place of meeting he began to make out larger figures in the distance, lights, noise... gods, Incus dreaded social activity, but don't we all?
He stopped short and flew behind tall brush, his blue scales glowing ever brightly, not of anger or excitement but his anxiety began to kick in. Why did he force himself to go? Incus outlive most dragons, he could be alone forever! But he panted rapidly, his body growing hot from his panicking pounding heart. It wasn't till then Incus remembered that he wanted friends, he wanted an ally or two but it was a matter of whether he truly wanted it.
"The Nightfury," Incus said to himself perhaps a little vocal about it, "Nightfuries are a high born dragon race, we are fast and powerful... what do I have to fear?" Incus thought then said, "Probably making a fool of myself... then again, you have to run before you walk."
Incus flew upward and over the brush, gliding over to a nearby pillar next to the closest dragon before flaring out his wings and allowing his colors to shine brilliantly, "I, Incus, will join you lot in the festivities!"
The Furies voice boomed louder than a large dragons, he was nervous, he didn't interact much, and never once had he been to a party. Immediately the thought kicked in and his wings folded in agitation and said aloud, "S*** I'm an idiot!"

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Tenebris, now fully composed and in a graceful like position craned his neck forth towards Aurora, his voice now lowered to barely just above a whisper so that amongst the hustle and confusion of the festivities she alone could hear him. “Fear not little none, this meeting is fated”, Tenebris then raised his head as he felt Astral’s voice penetrating his mind, while he managed to hide his shocked disbelief through his usual stoic apathetic expression as emotions indeed truly did flood his conscience. He was accustomed to this manner of communication since Astral spent her time within Shadow’s Refuge herself, but hearing the disembodied voice again brought for an influx of emotion within the Archon, joy, relief but yet there was also grief and regret, knowing that through all the delight of reuniting with his daughter there was the harsh reality and truth what Tenebris had already set himself down upon the path of his convictions, he could not faltered now.
While the majority of these feeling were hidden through his solemn stoic visage, his eyes began to gloss over as he had to fight back tears, and as he looked upon Aurora once more he felt a dread sense of sorrow and unease as his sapphire glare fixated upon her, before he once more heard the voice of Astral through his mind to mediate between herself and Baldirak before anymore chaos commenced. Secretly delighted that Astral had caused him to snap from his inner conflict and turmoil he rose from his seated position and turning his serpentine like neck to face the disguised Astral and Baldirak, delivering Astral a nod of acknowledgement. “Firewing, it is only fitting that you receive a reward for bringing my beloved granddaughter to me. Come, we will retire for a moment into the east wing where we can deliberate in confidence”. Tenebris turned his head once more to Aurora and with his usual twisted disfigured grin he’d give her an almost playful if not uncharacteristic wink.
It was at that moment that Tenebris heard an unruly voice, formally announcing himself, immediately Tenebris’s eyes opened wide as he fanatically began searching to find where the voice emanated from. The insolent voice announced himself as Incus, a name Tenebris knew of but had not heard of in a great long time. His nostrils flared as his glare finally fixated upon the Nightfury, like Aurora Tenebris knew this was a child of Astral but uniquely it wasn’t one of her half breeds, indeed it to at least Tenebris was even worse, it was a child of Nimbus the very god what mocked life, the God of Death. It was an unsettling motion, and Tenebris was acutely aware that he had no influence or place within the life of Incus, for all intense and purposes he was a rogue element, a variable Tenebris could not control and he knew that this turn of events would create a chain reaction which would spiral things into a even more dramatic turn than anticipated. With a grim look he turned back to the disguised Astral, watching with an intense scrutiny to see her reaction, although Tenebris knew what would happen next, the majority of the world believed Incus dead, and if the same was for Astral this would no doubt be eventful.
Immediately Tenebris would see to the collateral to what would transpire, barking Orders “Hastur, Seth. To me!”. The two Inquisitors would immediately come to their Lord Archon’s side bowing their heads “Seth, get Zylah here at once. Hastur remain at mine and Aurora’s side”, then Seth without another words gave a firm nod and sprinted off to find and fetch Zylah, while Hastur stoically remained at Tenebris’s side. Turning his attention to Aurora once more he lowered his head “Aurora, as a family we will all talk, but I ask you to go with your aunty Zylah for the time being into the next wing, she is of the same age as yourself more or less, you will find her company entertaining. I will make sure myself and your mother join you shortly, but it would seem I am first needed to settle a matter between your mother and your half brother”.

Noctis approaches Archon Tenebris cautiously, he bows respectfully before addressing him. "My Lord, greetings. To be known it is my 15th year celebrating the day of my hatching. I wish to apologize for ruining the Festival on the year prior, I let my excitement of my first attendance to the Festival of Ascendants get out of hand." He patiently awaits the Archon's response.

Astral inwardly sighed in relief as Tenebris maneuvered himself into demanding her immediate attention. Technically it could be considered a very rude and punishable offence to ignore a direct question from the king, but she wouldn't have to face the consequences. Unless he reacted to it now. If he enforced his rule her dad would get in trouble if he continued to distract her. That could make things really awkward.
Then there was an obnoxious announcement that under normal circumstances would be annoying. Instead Astral's mind tried to peice together why that voice sounded familiar. Kinda sounded a lot like her dead child Incus. He announced his name as well and all she could think was hey what a coincidence they have the same name. Sorrow filled her heart as she considered all the hatchlings she had lost. She almost didn't even want to look in the direction of the voice but her curiosity overruled. It couldn't be! Incas was alive!
Astral discarded her disguise. She could care less about the consequences now. It was extraordinary for a God to appear before a large crowd let alone one who the world of dragons were sure was dead. They did after all find her corpse verified by her prophet Baldirak.
"Aurora stay with your grandfather." She said alloud even as she was pouncing into the air. She belined stright for Incas and landed a few paces away from him. She stared into his eyes a shred of disbelief and a torrent of emotions over took her for just a moment. Her disbelief dispelled she thew herself and Incas into a hug throwing her front paws over him and enveloping as much of him as she could in her wings. "I thought you were gone."
Aurora was still very confused. Mom confirmed this was her grandfather but her mind still had a hard time grasping it. This was all so sudden, there was too much going. She really just wanted to go home now. Apparently she also had an aunt that was around her age? How did that even make sense. She wished Andromeda was here. Andromeda always knows what to do. She hovered a little closer to Tenebris but otherwise proffered to stay supported in the air where her instincts told her it was safe. Even though she wasn't hovering any higher than the head of Tenebris.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Zylah hated these kinds of events. She was expected to attend being the Archon's daughter. And given her 'friendly personality' she was considered very approachable and a bunch of dragons would engage in small talk befitting a hatchling simpleton. It got exhausting.
"What's your favorite thing to do sweetie?" Asked a female Firewing.
"I like to play! Sometimes when dad is doing something hard his tail will move around and I hunt it!" Zyhlah replied in her well practiced sweet voice that made dragons go 'Aaww'
Zylah's attention was torn away by irregular movements of her father. He was unusually determined on something. It was rare she saw him abandon grace in favor of speed. If it was of great importance to him than it was of great importance to her but going after him would do no good. She just watched from a distance and observed him engaging with a very small dragon.
The announcement only begged further questions. She'd been told once, the goddess was her adopted sister but having never seen her and the topic rarely coming up it just felt surreal.
He seemed to be having trouble with his granddaughter. This was an area she could definitely help with. Slowly she began making her way through the crowd towards them. The rich black smoke flowing off her wings bringing attention to her trying to get through by those near her making it a little easier.
Then things started happening very quickly. An obnoxious dragon rudely announced himself. A Firewing turned into a Nightwing that looked a lot like her niece only bigger. It was too much for her to figure out. Her goal became affirmed when she heard dad ask Seth to fetch her. That was her cue to hurry up. Zyhlah entire body vanished and formed into a wispy black smoke the same that always flowed from her wings. She made her way flowing through everyone in the way and reformed next to her father. "Present!"
She gathered dad wanted her to basically secure the tiny black and white dragon from what he had said. The dragon in question did not look very comfortable. She didn't know anything about this dragon. There was only one approach Zylah could think of that had universal appeal to hatchlings. Zyhla walked up to Aurora and whispered to her like she was sharing a secret. "I know were they keep all the food. Every kind of meat you can think of. Let's go raid it.
Aurora looked to Tenebris for confirmation she could go. Mom had told her to stay with him but if he told her to go with someone else she should listen right?
An excuse to get out of the center of attention and get some food was too enticing to pass up especially if she was being given permission
Zyhlah would bring the hatchling to the food before luring her to the wing dad mentioned and play predator and prey or something.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Incus felt his heart drop as he thought he'd seen a ghost. The world melted away to him, nothing else mattered and all the noise simply ceased as he focused his sights on a single, well familiar dragon. Something pushed Incus to hug her, yet something pulled him back. A mix of emotions swelled, happiness, sadness, yet there was also confusion and anger. Happiness and confusion his dead mother was alive, his sadness and anger that he missed a chunk of his life trying to find her and his siblings, adding that to the sheer fact she was alive this entire time!
For now, his thoughts lingered on Astral, his anger subsiding as she enveloped his body in wings and paws, joy creeping up as tears began to stream down his scales. He did the same, sobbing as he felt an emptiness slowly fade. Incus was young when he lost his mother, left to the mercy of his father. Exiled and shunned, Incus led a very harsh life, instead of thriving and perhaps even gaining a mate he always thought himself too worthless to have any friends, slowly that thought growing in place creating his anxiety and social issues. He sighed heavily but said nothing, but backed away with a strange look. He felt happy yet sad. Sad, yet confused.
"You've... been alive... this entire time?" Incus asked vocally, before asking, "If you've been alive where... where in the gods have you been?"
Incus wanted to know, maybe she'd been reincarnated, or perhaps she was coming up with a vigorous plan to eradicate the monsters finally! Maybe come here to see what she could do! He was waiting for an answer that maybe he'd get quickly, he kept expectations high, after all, she is the goddess of gods! Why else would she be here on this mortal plain?

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
The Twilight King had endured a lot. He had endured the loss of his tribe twice over; the loss of his mate emotionally; the loss of his Goddess; a loss of mobility; the loss of his mental and emotional strength. Now, standing in a hall, in the middle of a festival he didn't want to attend, Baldirak had endured the last of what he could take. Tenebris had thrown himself into the King's path, ignored and defied him, all for his own selfish reasons, whatever they were. Perhaps if the NightWing had simply waited his turn, backed away when he was told, Baldirak would have given him his way. But not now. Now, broken and tired of it all, the EarthWing would, for only the second time in his entire reign as a King, assert himself.
Baldirak's wings opened once again as his head raised and he let out a fierce roar that was accompanied, unintentionally--though its effect would no doubt further illustrate his anger--by a plume of fire. His head lowered that his eyes might find Tenebris, the now orange irises bearing down on him. "Are you blind, Tenebris?" the King asked in a tone that was unsettlingly calm against his sudden angry outburst. "Tell me, NightWing, are you deaf?" Baldirak began to circle the Archon, slowly, his claws and growl the only other sounds breaking the silence that had fallen over the hall. The EarthWing glanced once at Astral and who was apparently another one of her offspring. "Perhaps you were injured more severely than you let on, and forget who I am?" He stopped his circling and rose slowly onto his hind legs. His growling slowly climbed in volume, in ferocity... and yet, strangely, there was a calmness about the Twilight King. A control that might at any second be lost, yet was too strong to be undone. "I am your king!" Baldirak bellowed before bringing himself back down onto all fours, cracking and splitting the ground beneath him. The cracks spread outward like a shockwave, ruining the floor. "You do not surpass me, Dragon. You do not fling yourself before me but to sacrifice your life or beg my forgiveness. Family or no, Goddess or no, I am above you in all things. You think yourself entitled to the first word? I alone will determine that. If you had but asked, I might have stepped aside. But to throw yourself before me, interrupt me, then try to usher the subjects of your impatience away that I would be unable to continue my conversation? No, Dragon. No, I will not entertain your wishes today. Hapax! Hamnet!"
The twin Royal Guards made their way through the crowd swiftly and bowed as they stood before their King. "Yes?" Hapax began.
"Sire?" Hament finished.
"Find the nearest cell or something passable for one--make it yourself, I don't care--and put Tenebris in it. I will deal with him tomorrow. He is to have no visitors without my permission and mine alone. No exceptions. If any of his loyal followers try to prevent you, throw them in the cell with him. And find my nephew, he will serve as guard." Baldirak's eyes narrowed as he continued to look at Tenebris. His nostrils flared as another growl left his throat. He then turned and began to walk out of the hall, to go back to his empty den. He stopped for a moment, as a thought came to him. "Aurora... Kelarth smiled on you this day. You learned a little about your kin and found a sibling you didn't even know was lost. But one day, that same god might turn away from you and deem you unworthy of even their thoughts. So be cautious, Young One, lest you find yourself cast aside." The Twilight King continued walking. Once outside, he took to the air and flew back to his den.
As the King left, Hapax and Hamnet looked at Tenebris. The former began, "You heard him, Archon Tenebris,"
Hamnet continued, "Let's not make more of a commotion than has already transpired."
"Come along with us," the twins finished in unison.
Baldirak's wings opened once again as his head raised and he let out a fierce roar that was accompanied, unintentionally--though its effect would no doubt further illustrate his anger--by a plume of fire. His head lowered that his eyes might find Tenebris, the now orange irises bearing down on him.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Wake had stayed pretty quiet for a while now. He just wasn't comfortable around all these tribal dragons. Honestly, he was about ready to just leave before hearing something. Tenebris's grandaughter... was a Night Fury! A spawn of Astral herself! How? He thought.... Wait.... Two!? He was pretty sure he'd never seen a relative of Astral before, but this led to a question. Did Kelarth know about this? Wake looked at the feather for a second.
"Maybe I should get going." And then all heck broke loose. The Earthwing king wasn't happy the Nightwing leader for... some reason. The wyvern honestly didn't know, and could almost care less. What did intrigue him was a third Night Fury, and one that seemed to be the older Fury's mother, and at least knew the hatchling. Good think he had great hearing. Wake's long tail flicked as he jumped back up one a rafter, using his feather to give himself a little luck as he continued to watch and listed. He used his illusion magic to hide himself for now. This would be interesting.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Vilkas was already at the festival. He was just off to the side by himself, watching as others mingled while he sampled a little food. It wasn't that he disliked gatherings, he was just wary that something would happen. That something had been along the lines of a monster attack. What happened instead was chaotic. First, Astral, the Goddess of the Moon and Stars showed up. Then, Vilkas' uncle seemed to finally break under the weight of everything he'd been going through. The young EarthWing hybrid didn't have much time to process anything, though. Soon, his uncle asked for his summoning, to guard Tenebris. As Baldirak left, Vilkas walked through the crowd to where Hapax and Hamnet stood before the NightWing Archon. He shifted to his mutant form, opting for the moment not to wield his club, and looked down at Tenebris. Rather than mirror the Royal Guards' words, he waited in silence for the NightWing leader to comply with his uncle's orders.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Tenebris would still be intently watching the disguised Astral, merely waiting for the inevitable, preparing himself to maintain order or at least what he could. It was at this moment that his shrewd attention upon Astral was broken as he was addressed by a young Dragon trainee. He glared down at the smaller dragon in an intense scrutiny examining him from crest to tail, as the Dragon spoke. Truth be told, Tenebris could not recall the particularities of what transpired at the last festival of ascendant, nor truth be told could he remember the young Dragons name, but nonetheless he hastily lowered his head as a gesture of mutual respect. “Threat not, no harm done. Believe me, in my own youth when I was but a mere recruit within the Guardians I stole the Old Queen’s official Mask upon the Festival of Ascendants”, releasing a sly snicker to himself as he reflected upon the irony, a mirth only he himself could share in at the fact should the old Queen of realised such as a bad omen, perhaps she might of seen Tenebris later also taking her throne.
Tenebris’s musings were interrupted as Astral cast off her disguise and made haste towards Incus, knowing that it was only a matter of time before it transpired. Tenebris knew there was no purpose in attempting that this was expected, and try to make Astrals appearance as to coexist with the reason all these Dragons were called to the festival to witness her return, truth be told Tenebris was more than aware that should he attempt to bring Astral into any ploy of his shrewd intrigues or machinations she’d call him out in front of everyone or merely just tell him to shut up why she spoke to her child. To that end, there was just one thing Tenebris could do and that was keep everyone calm and try to ensure the rest of the evening continued to be cordial and the festivities could continue without incident. It was at this moment Zylah announced her presence with an enthusiastic statement, which Tenebris was relieved with, allowing his wings to relax and drop to his side as he gave his youngest Daughter an honest warm smile, even despite the warped mutilating scars upon his maw, giving her a firm nod so that she could continue with Aurora hopefully removing them from the situation.
Now, Tenebris strode several steps forward, as no doubt onlookers stared in astonishment at the reveal of the Goddess and the touching reunion between mother and son. Tenebris couldn’t help but feel sympathy for Astral, the love, warmth and pain was resonating from her and Incus, long parted and now reunited, yet Tenebris despite himself could not falter with his official duties after all as much as he himself was warmed himself in the moment this should not be a public spectacle. Raising one foreclaw Tenebris began to state “Brothers and Sisters, please restrain your shock and disbelief and remain calm, this-”, merely as he began the voice of Baldirak filled the room, to which inquisitively Tenebris turned to face him at the rhetorical question regarding the Archon’s eyesight. Then the Earthwing King snapped again, to which Tenebris, now with his attention squarely focused upon Balidrak starred in an almost awestruck puzzled manner. “Have your witts failed you?”, the Archon would mutter to himself rather than to anyone in particular in regards to Baldirak.
The Nightwing Archon seemed almost dumbfounded and briefly lost for words as Baldirak abrasively announced his status as King, and then began to chastise Tenebris in an absurd manner. Tenebris couldn’t comprehend the disrespect and insolence, he remained in place even as Hastur and Seth foresaw what was transpiring and immediately came to their Archon’s side, both of them snarling and hissing towards Baldirak. Possibilities to the true meaning of this declaration and assertion from Baldirak ran through Tenebris’s mind, the fear that this was but a single thread of a tapestry of other machinations he couldn’t foresee was a disturbing thought. Tenebris believed this might of been a power play from the start, for Baldirak to reassert some semblance of authority in front of so many Dragons, or perhaps merely to use this Festival as a means shame Tenebris as a means to reduce his influence with his own Nightwings to shake and falter their resolve. It was as the Earthwing King called the names of his Royal Guard, that the confusion and bewilderment of Tenebris came to an end as any disorientation he felt during Baldirak’s rage shattered. The Archon now narrowed his glare anew upon the Green Dragon in fierce defiance, his contempt was shown clearly to all overs as he released an animalistic snarl as all regal composure deteriorated as he began thrashing his tail behind him in rage.
Rearing onto his hindlegs the Archon propelled himself into the air, the effort of which despite the pain from his wounded leg did not show as he fought through the anguish funnelled instead into his fury as he hovered above the ground, beating his heavy long wings rhythmically enough to flare two nearest braizers illuminating the room into a funnelled pyre rising far above their usual heights. Hastur and Seth joined their Master immediately, the three of them appearing as though hornets poised as though ready to strike out against their prey. Tenebris who prided himself on usually being a calculated shrewd individual released an almost primal savage roar in challenge as he heard Baldirak’s words to have him thrown in his own Cells. The Indignity was noxious and loathsome for the Archon to even conceive as he looked down upon Baldirak with a repulsed mephitic focus, at that moment Tenebris’s black ink stained Talons began to tense and then began twitching, weaving amongst each other close to his chest. “How dare you, this is an affront to this very festival. With a purpose of us uniting in these dire times you would so brazenly declare animosity within my own territory. This is Shadow’s Refuge, you feeble minded whelp, have your senses abandoned you?”, Tenebris spoke in a loud domineering pitch in protestation at the abhorrent demands of Baldirak.
At that moment the purpose behind the Archon’s fervent movement of his talons came into fruition, from the previous illusion of the night sky upon the zenith of the large grand hall ceiling, materialised fifteen illuminated sapphire runic symbols. Appearing archaic and resonating with energy, these Wards each served as a cache of stored magical energies what Tenebris could channel and manifest at will to wield the auras within as elemental weapons that could be used to combat foes. Originally woven by Tenebris as a means to defend himself against assassins or a possible slave revolt within the Citadel itself, the spectacle served as an unspoken proclamation that Tenebris would not submit. A sixteenth Ward would reveal itself but not before the ancient double doors of the Grand Hall would close at will, the intricate designs upon the ashen blackened stained doors what appeared to be but mere carvings began to illuminate themselves as the door itself became a giant ward to block the exit of the Citadel closing off Baldirak’s departure as he would begin to take his leave.
Still seething with indignation from Baldirak, the bitterness in Tenebris’s voice would be clear to all, as though a deep emotional hurt had been brought about between brothers.”The purpose of inviting all Dragons, not just those of the imperium here on this most hallow sacred of festivals close to those of the Nightwing tribe, was so that we could rally those willing, united not as a tribe, not as an alliance but so that as a species we could attempt a united front, a vanguard to push back against the monsters as one. Yet here you are sowing the seeds to disrupt such. Here now, when our very species stands at the brink of extinction you would see us in chaos, to provoke one another's anmity, to keep us broken and shattered. You disrespect those who serve and believe in you, you disrespect your allies, you disrespect tradition and you disrespect the very significance of this gathering”. Tenebris spoke through gritted fangs as he continued to hover above the crowd without relent of appearing to lower himself, “While I have attempted to hold the Imperium together, while I have attempted to bring others to a higher calling, a greater purpose so that Dragon kind doesn’t regress into a primitive culture, and degenerate into savages. You have fallen to your sorrows, content in your grief to see the world dissolve around you, you’d rather linger in your lair until it becomes a grave than truly uphold your mantle of responsibilities. And now your self loathing lamenting has now clearly deteriorated into bloody madness”.
Taking in several long deep breaths Tenebris released a soft groan as he still maintained channelling himself through the wards in case they were necessary, but keeping them enabled was exhausting yet he was able to calm himself, his voice became less filled with anguish and returned to its usual domineering regal manner. “Enough is enough, your Royal Guards are good Dragons, loyal, honourable, dependable. There is no need for bloodshed. What I do state now is in the best interest of all. With your own admission Baldirak I hereby say you should willingly abdicate your throne as both the monarch of the Imperium, and as the ruler of the Earthwings, announce claimants and heirs to your throne of the Earthwings. One who is filled with vigour, and is prepared to fight for his species and tribe, one who would see us all returned to greatness, one who is willing to move past the grief and horror of the past to forge a future. Spend the rest of your years with your mate in peace, or drowning in self pity and grief if you must, while others take the reins to preserve the survival of all our Kind. As for the Imperium, a general summons will be sent out issued for Queen Keninia to present herself so that we can discuss this crisis and come to a suitable arrangement. Even you, cannot deny my reasoning. Every Dragon here, even those of your own Tribe know that everything I do and say is in the best interest for our survival”.

He laughs lightly then returns to seriousness as the Archon speaks to the Earthwing that was acting aggressively earlier. He hopes this matter is settled peacefully.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Astral took her front paws off of Incas when he asked his question. It was the question everyone in the room was likely asking at this very moment. Actually they were asking that forming a mob around her attempting to grab her attention and ask their questions or toss their insults. Was mostly confusion though. Many were even attempting to invade her personal space to demand her attention but she wasn't having any of that. With no effort she erected an invisible force field in a radius 10 feet away from her. No dragon could break through it magically gifted or otherwise. Astral kept her wings over Incas not willing to completely break from the hug. "I...It's a very long story."
At that moment Tenebris and Baldirak got into a rather heated fight with pretty big consequences. "I'll explain it all after we're out of here." Astral said to her son. "I got a potential civil war to break up." Because apparently fate decided that today needed to get more crazy and this was the way to do it. "After we can escape this circus It'll be just you and me, well and Aurora your younger half sister."
Astral dispelled the barrier and took off to fly back over to where her father and ex-prophet were fighting. As she flew over her size quickly grew from her diminutive size to as large as Baldirak. She couldn't very well break anything up if nobody even knew she was there. Landing between the two she flung out her now massive wings to keep the two sides away from each other with magical assistance if required. "Hey, hey! Everyone calm down." Astral was specifically looking at Baldirak. "I'm sorry Baldi this was my fault. I asked him to help discreetly get me out of here with my daughter. He couldn't refuse a goddess." A crazy idea entered the goddess head and never one to turn down a crazy idea she had to offer it. Astral approached Baldirak in a I got something to share with you kinda way. She whispered to him "Wanna go to the moon and talk things out?" She asked with a wink.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
The NightWing could have kept his maw shut. He could have went quietly with the King's Royal Guards as he was told. He could have spent the night in a cell and that would have been the end of the affair. The festival could have continued on, the incident talked about in hushed tones or pushed away until tomorrow. But the NightWing had to open his maw.
Baldirak couldn't speak for how infuriated he was at Tenebris' words. That that dragon had the gall to call Baldirak unfit to rule; to say Baldirak was not prepared to fight for Dragonkind, when the EarthWing had nearly died on several occasions in battle to protect others--one of those being Tenebris himself... The NightWing, it seemed, had finally and fully fallen prey to his own delusions. The Archon thought himself a beacon of hope and unity, but here now let show his true nature. With his own words he would threaten to cause what he accused Baldirak of, all because the EarthWing dared to show an inability to bear a hardship no dragon could endure. All because Baldirak dared to remind Tenebris of his real place in what little remained of their world.
The Twilight King had remained with his back to the NightWing Archon. When at last the NightWing stopped talking, Baldirak turned back around. His normally pale blue eyes were orange again. The magic that had recently made itself known to him stirred, warming the fire it gave him access to. His wings opened once more and held themselves in a position to indicate a fight was about to occur. His tail lashed to and fro behind him. His teeth were bared and he snarled with the ferocity of a beast that knew no other way of surviving... If the Archon wanted to see Baldirak abdicate, he would have to go about it properly.
But just as Baldirak prepared to show Tenebris just how capable he was of fighting for his kind, Astral stepped in. It was an understatement to say that the Goddess threw herself between the NightWing and EarthWing. Because things weren't chaotic enough already, Astral saw fit to also grow to the size of one of the last massive dragons. Baldirak went from staring down at the NightWing Archon, to suddenly being eye-to-eye with the Goddess of the Moon and Stars. Apparently, she had anticipated the fight, because an unseen barrier protected her from the blast of fire that the EarthWing King didn't have time to stop.
The Goddess spoke to him and he listened, though hardly by choice. She was quick to apologize on behalf of Tenebris, but it only served to anger the EarthWing further. Then she said something that made him stop snarling and actually look at her. For quite some time, that was all he did. He had no idea how to respond to her. What could be her reason for it? And why the moon, of all places? Was she really trying to defuse the situation, or was she going to help Tenebris get his way? Perhaps she was going to take the EarthWing somewhere he could never escape and abandon him. Baldirak's wings slowly lowered of their own accord as he worked out all the reasons why he shouldn't go with Astral to the "moon". In the end, for a reason yet unknown to him, his subconscious betrayed him, and he found himself nodding slightly in response.

Astral couldn't help but purr, pleased by his response. The slight nod was all she needed It was about time they had a proper talk even if it would mostly be uncomfortable for her.
"Dad take care of Aurora for me until I get back. Don't let her out of your sight. She's a troublemaker." She requested of Tenebris while at the same time telepathically linking with her son Incas and informing him of a meeting location later. With that the two large dragons vanished.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
Tenebris's eyes grew large in anticipation as the Earthwing King turned to face him, he couldn't contain the gleeful smirk what spread across his maw as he examined the rage within Baldirak, his words having done the trick. The Archon had come to rely of the emotionally driven Earthwing to allow himself to act without precaution, and as Tenebris stared into the now Orange Iris's of Baldirak he couldn't deny in that moment that while he had to direct malice or hatred for the Earthwing King as he was simply another playing within the great game, Tenebris still felt pleasure, despite himself he would greatly enjoy dispatching the Earthwing.
The Archon's talons began nimbly interweaving themselves as he channelled the magic of the wards, anticipating the coming attack of Baldirak, he would weave a shield around himself and absorb the force to then spiral a counter attack. Yet just as the moment was approaching Astral emerged between the two, taking forth a size matching that of Baldirak, who's blazing fire seemed to dissipate upon the Gods form as though a candle simply snuffed out. As she defused the situation, Tenebris lowered himself to the ground once more, he made it a point to leave the runic wards activated upon the ceiling above. Taking a long drawn out sigh Tenebris could merely watch as Baldirak nodded towards Astral, and she then turned towards Tenebris asking for him to keep Aurora safe. Tenebris would nod his head in a humble manner, "Of course, I'm no stranger to mischievous hatchlings, she'll be safe here until you return", Tenebris spoke calmly as he demeanour and elegant posture returned to him, giving Astral a sly smirk as he did so.
Tenebris mused to himself as both Astral and Baldirak then vanished before him, his shrewd callous glare turned to Baldirak's Royal Guards and Nephew. Briefly considering the prospect of detaining them, there would be a grand delight for the Archons passions of holding the guards as leverage, tearing about their wing membranes and forcing them into the slave population of the Potentate for daring to attempt to apprehend the Nightwing Archon, even more entertaining would be to have Baldirak's Nephew as hostage, he could of provided as a means for paying back the insult Baldirak had caused and slowly tearing the Earthwing apart in a morbid display would certainly give Tenebris both comfort and teach others an example of what happens to those who oppose the Nightwings. Yet, as Tenebris glanced back to Aurora alongside his own Hatchling he pushed such thoughts to the back of his mind, until the Earthwing King, Tenebris wouldn't allow his emotions to lead into base desires, he had to be pragmatic above all else.
"You can dismiss yourselves if you wish", Spoke Tenebris towards the Earthwing Guards, "It was never my desire to see such madness take play here, none the less, you are free to still eat your fill and enjoy yourself before you depart. I wish there to be no ill will, I understand the loyalty you hold for your king and that you were merely following his wishes", after addressing the Guards Tenebris turned to face the crowd once more, he was aware that Baldirak would have to be dealt with in the future, while Astral has subdued and defused an immediate brawl between Tenebris and Baldirak, it certainly wouldn't be the end of their dispute and there would still be a possibility for it to spiral into a civil war.
"There is no longer a need to prolong the intricacies of this Festival, so I will state the truth for your coming here. I wish for volunteers to begin a united front against the Monster Scourge. Together we can create a vanguard to push into the Continent and remind those mindless beasts the ire of Dragon Kind when it stands as one. We will not go so quietly, and it is high time we show these monsters our vengeance, we shall not fail not falter, so I ask you not as Archon of the Nightwings, but as a fellow Dragon, a brother, kin, will any of you you fly by my side to reclaim what has fallen, what has been lost to us". Tenebris paused for a moment, he briefly glanced up, the wards still in place as he craned over his shoulder making sure that both Hastur and Seth remained with their eyes upon the Earthwing guards in case they deemed to follow out their previous orders of the their King. "I will now retire to be with my Grand Daughter, however eat and drink your fill, and there are holdings upon the Isles where any of you are free to stay, within the following days I will be holding Court, if you desire to volunteer for this vanguard, then I invite you to come forth then". With that Tenebris turned towards Aurora and his Daughter, leading them off into the private wing of the Citadel, while Seth and Hastur remain behind, watching the rest of the Festivals proceedings to ensure to further incident.

Re: Festival of ascendants (Open to All)
The Royal Guard still sat atop the same pillar, moving to a more comfortable position as he viewed the entire scene. It was nice for a change, dragons getting together for once instead of scurrying about, wondering what to throw in their bellies for night. And what the Archon had done seemed... decent. For a good while, Ragnarok viewed Archon with disdain, not racism, but rather he had a skeptical view of Tenebris. This get together he threw, a party or festival of culture, was the opposite of what he originally thought. And the more the great dragon thought of it the more pleased he became. His thoughts stopped though as he saw the smallest little dragon, his lord moved through the crowd and greeted the youngling and while Ragnarok couldn't hear he saw everything that transpired. Well, barely, with such a crowd.
Then something happened where the Archon became involved and ignored Baldirak's words which wasn't new, the Royal Guard shook his head and sighed, figuring it was a competition between the two. Then, the damnedest thing happened. A dragon, smaller than most, announced himself like some fool, then Ragnarok got a good chuckle as this Incus called himself a dumbass. That was when a FireWing transformed into a dragon similar to Incus. Everyone seemed to stop and stare in awe, the Royal Guard had no clue who it was but it must have been a dragon of high authority.
Ragnarok then witnessed Baldirak's rage, and he tensed as the order was given to the guards to throw the Archon in a cell. That alone was an absurd request, Ragnarok was loyal but not blindingly so, the Archon didn't do anything wrong but ignore the Earth King as more dragons nagged him, that was something that couldn't be helped. But this rage, this stupid outcry felt more like an insult to both Night Kin and Earth Kin; this was a time to get together, and Ragnarok felt insulted as he knew he was included in this. The other guards began to go toward the Archon, and Ragnarok dropped from the top broken pillar and to the ground.
He couldn't go through with it, and it wasn't like the Archon did anything necessarily wrong, there was no crime nor a good reason to do this so he simply stood there, ready to aid his brothers in case a riot broke out. But not to his surprise, Tenebris flew into air and the doors slammed in front of Baldirak, runes glowed behind the Archon and that was when Ragnarok was ready to fight and defend. The King turned and clearly he wasn't happy either. No one seemed happy in this moment, tension grew and while the Archon had every right to accuse Baldirak, he should not have suggested the king to step down in rank.
As the two stood off, the small transforming dragon turned large and defused the situation. Then, simply, her and the king disappeared. This was the most confusing thing to the Royal Guard, but his focus turned when the Archon addressed them. He thought Tenebris was quite heated, but his it through pleasantly fake acting. The Royal Guard was nearest of the rest of the Earth Dragons, and he knew this insult would not go unnoticed. It could cause further conflict and damage, even when monsters now ruled the world.
"Archon," Ragnarok said Inna demanding tone, walking toward Tenebris as of he was going to go through with his kinda demand. He stopped several steps of the Night Kin ruler, "I... know my Lord insulted you, and your kin and culture. I apologise, not on behalf of my king but on behalf of the guards and Earth Kin."
