Magic

I'm not sure where to exactly put this, but I just wanted to ask something quick and easy.

What is the type of magic that the dragons here deal with precisely? Is it the potions and ingredients magic, the cast-a-spell sort or like Fairy Tail's magic sort, with the magic circles and such?

I always kind of considered the solution that was bringing everything together ^^
Magic is mostly a matter of will and concentration. In order to cast a spell, you need to be extremely concentrated and have a clear vision of what your spell will do. The medium used to gain that concentration does not matter. One could cling on shouting a spell in order to be concentrated enough, or use an idol, or circles, whatever. A master could be able to cast a spell with nothing but his own mind, however that requires a level of self control that won't be achievable by most.
