Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
First topic message reminder :
(OOC: somebody can't find his father-and tiny post to start sorry XD)
IC:
Rateevko flew along the border of the skywing tribe territory. It was a route Moonwing had taken him on before, and this time his mother was coming along with him. Or at least she had been with him a few minutes ago.
Looking back to see if she was still behind him Ratty flew haphazardly over the border and into the tribes territory. He wasn't too worried about the dragons harming him since Moonwing was his father. They should know him right?
The sun had risen about two hours ago, and the sky was clear as he enjoyed the warmth on his back and the wind under his wings.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
The invitation for the tour was met rather warmly. Anila was the first to respond, volunteering herself to join in the tour. But through the facade that was her charms and elegance, Tion could sense a tinge of... something else. It bothered him a little but he took no note of it, passing it as a mere speculation. All that mattered was her eagerness to guide them despite her role as a tracker than a tour guide. Tion was on his break from work and figured he could assist in the tour. He should, especially with all the rennovations and such that even some Skywings were lost about. Not only that, but he needed all the dragons he could muster to keep the Fortress alive and above the clouds. That is very honourable of you Anila. Please feel free to help show them around.
Dynamic's son was all the more eager to go on this tour, but the same could not be said for his mother. Her expression was a little more tense, losing the earlier snarkiness that she exerted when Tion first greeted them. He understood if Dynamic did not want her son within the borders of Sky Fortress, especially if she were an outcast herself like Storm was. But why forfeit their protection? Especially that her son barely had any scales to protect himself and that he wanted to be among the guards.
She did let Tion know of some of her troubles. Though it sounded as if she did not want to be part of the Skywings herself. Tion just huffed a sigh. You have come to the right place. We Skywings will not let any defects that clung to us from birth affect our way of life. We can provide your son with armour if he graduates and joins among the ranks of guardians. They are more sturdier than scales alone. Tion then looked to the side, thinking about what to do with the large Nightwing as well. Your son wants to become one of us. Why should you not follow? You can also be with Moonwing, than to live within the dangers of rogue territories.
As he let her think this over, he beckoned his head to the guards, and they saluted with a small bow and right wing slightly raised before guiding the two outside for the tour.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Anila was almost wearing a smug look on her face when sensed that Tion had overruled the silly little NightWing's wishes to allow Anila to go with them. Gracefully, she bowed to her King again, ignoring the coldness coming from that pathetic NightWing. Taking herself up from her elegant bow, she looked up to see the small white dragon flying around eagerly. It seemed as if this dragon was more willing than his own mother to go and see the sites around the SiyWing kingdom. A smirk appeared on her face for a few seconds, hiding it by turning herself away from the group as she made her way to help lead the group.
She talked quickly with them, finding out whatever she was able to about where they were going. The guards had mentioned the nursery... But Anila didn't exactly like that idea. There were children there, babies who wouldn't be able to defend themselves, even if they tried to... She stole a glance back at the horrible and large NightWing, before turning her attention quickly to the guards. Anila knew that Aero probably didn't see her do that, as she was talking to Tion about her son-who was still happily dancing around the place.
How could he be so happy and his mother be... So pathetic and just plain negative all the time? Not to mention plain ugly as well.
With a nod and a flick of her tail, Anila nodded for them to lead them out of the SkyWing Palace. She then pulled herself away, falling in step with her gorgeo-her King. She quickly corrected that thought. Anila was but a gorgeous tracker, and she didn't stand a chance to be able to go after such a drake such as the King. Especially with her gorgeous looks which even made other male dragons faint-it seemed the King was the last to fall. "The guards will be just taking us around the palace first, making their way towards the pathway to the other islands." Anila spoke, dumbing down her language so that the rather weird NightWing may be able understand her.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
I can get armor??? The biggest smile flickered over his awed face as Rat looked at Tion when the male mentioned that he might be able to graduate from something. Ratty hadn't truly been listening to everything, only half as much as he should have been. Instead he had been too intrigued by the fact that they would be seeing even more of the skywings territory.
He was listening now though, and when Tion suggested that Aero join them to be close to Moonwing Rat grew a little sad. His parents loved each other that was true. It was so easy to see that when they were together, but it seemed that they weren't together very often to the light boy. Moonwing was often hunting, patrolling around their den, or out at the skywing territory doing stuff. The family hadn't been together in some time it seemed.
Rat looked back solemnly to his mother not voicing his opinion on the family closeness matter. Instead he just looked to her quietly then looked over to See Anila looking at his mother once again. Ratty paused scrunching up his nose a little. Why were the girls looking at each other so often? Did they like each other? Or maybe it was that they didn't like each other? He couldn't tell because both his mother and Anila hid their emotions pretty well. He decided to ask anyways.
What's wrong miss? He asked Anila wondering why Aero and Anila kept glancing at each other.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Aero lightly glared at Anila. What did Tion see in her that was at all honorable? Taking lead of a tour shouldn't have been considered 'honorable.' She had to get her mind off of that synthetic dragon and listened to Tion as he spoke again. When he mentioned armor Rattevko gathered one of the biggest smiles she'd even seen. She smiled back at him, even if he wasn't smiling at her. It was a relief to know that he could be safe and protected.
His next words caught the dragoness a bit off guard. She held back light laughter with a smile before having it fade as she thought. Her spines slightly pricked. She had always avoided tribes, avoided their rules and limited freedoms. Why join one in the first place when you can do whatever you want outside of it? If she was to ever join this tribe, she'd need to have the rules highly adjusted.
"I'll have to think about it more," she said in a slightly harsher tone than she meant. The female would just have to wait and see how flexable he'd be, and what she'd even be here. To be honest, she wasn't sure about this idea of living in the tribe. Having to be around so many different dragons and staying within the territory unless told to go out. Yeah, she'd need something where she didn't have to live among all of the small dragons and she could go as she pleased.
Her gaze went back to Anila as they began their walk, her tail flicking at her sentence. Wasn't this a tour, not just a walk? Rolling her eyes at the stupid dragoness she asked, "So, where specifically are we going?" After her question, she shot Anila a slight smirk, making sure no one else saw it, and it'd depend on if she even saw it either, not that it mattered if she did or not.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
While Anila told Dynamic of the details to their little tour, Tion was a bit caught off guard with how the little dragon was with armour. He could chuckle, or at least smile at that eagerness, but he did nothing more than pulling his maw a bit back.
The other matter refrained him from actually showing his joy. Aside from the obvious bit of trnsion between Dynamic and Anila, letting her stay seemed to have triggered something in her. She did reply to him. But it was not an ideal response. Tion somewhat pondered what she would do now that she was separated from her son if she chose to let his offer linger even longer. Perhaps she did need some time to think about this.
Tion nodded to her before leading the way around the palace. For now, he decided not to address anything related to both females turning aggressive against one another. At least they were civil not to let loose their anger before the eyes of a child. He could only hope that it would die down as they progressed with the tour.
This way... and with his back turned, he led them around the palace, intended to show them the nursery, the throne and the laboratory. If anything broke out, he would turn and speak to them. The guards would remain by their side, ensuring whatever skywing that passes through knows they were being escorted and accompanied. He did feel a little awkward still, especially when not all his guests were well acquainted.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Anila blinked and looked up at the little albino dragon, she hadn't pulled any nasty look, only her thoughts had been pondered. For a few moments, Anila was completely puzzled as to what the little hatchling was talking about. She had made SURE that she hadn't put the expression on her face, and the tracker smiled to the young one. "Absolutely nothing is wrong little one! Is there a reason for your question?" Anila asked brightly, her eyes unquestionably showing that she had not a clue of what little Rateevko was on about.
However, the SkyWing noted the sudden change in Aero's voice... She tried not to allow the anger of this show on her face, instead, burying it deep down in her. She stole another glance back at the rather pathetic NightWing, an outcast who barely even knew what respect was. Unfortunately for the perfect dragoness, she managed to glimpse the mentally challenged NightWings smirk as she had asked the question.
She had held her tongue long enough, and she gave her an icy smile, one devoid of any and all expressions, her cheerful voice suddenly flipping to one of a relentless anger, like a thunderstorm waiting to strike. "If you want to know where we are going you disrespectful wurm, why don't you have the consideration to actually be polite to the tribes King who you have basically backhanded." Anila demanded, her anger sparking a growl from her chest. "If I were you, I would actually attempt to try and be nice to who you are speaking with. Not everyone has the privilege to be able to speak to the King, let alone actually have him guide dragons on a personal tour!" Anila hissed viciously, all the time approaching the NightWing with no fear, her stride going from loose and flexible, to a firm stride of anger. Her relaxed body was tense, her snarl only just being held back down by sheer willpower.
"So why don't you at least treat him with respect. Not everyone gets to see his throne, the nursery and many other things which we have here..." Anila drew herself in near Aero, around five meters away as she snarled, not afraid of the NightWing in the slightest. She had answered the stupid question which she had asked, but her dark eyes were sparking in anger now, the icy facade dropping to reveal it.

(OOC: Â ""She stole a glance back at the horrible and large NightWing, before turning her attention quickly to the guards."" Just going to put that there from Anila's other post. That's what Rat had seen. I did edit my other post though)
IC: Anila looked to Ratty as he paused to stand just beneath her snout. His cute round eyes gazed up at her sleek form as she answered his question then asked why he had questioned her. Rat just gave her a toothy grin. I just thought you and mom were always looking at each other... So you maybe like or not liked each other, but I couldn't tell just form looking so I asked. The boy chirped before following Tion and the other female once again through the tour.
Then Tion and Aero exchanged a few words. Knowing his mother better than anyone there, Rat could tell that she wasn't in the best of moods, but she was hiding it likely so that he could have a good time. The child was having less and less fun on this tour as he became aware of the adults around him. It wasn't until Anila spoke once more to his mother in an angry tone that Ratty stopped following Tion then turned to watch the females with sad eyes.
Why was Anila calling his mother names? That wasn't nice at all. The tiny little seven year old lowered himself rather submissively as he attempted to skirt around Anila to get to his mother. He stopped right beside the taller skywing female though looking up at her with a mixture of anger and annoyance. Nobody spoke to HIS mother like that. Ratty felt a large burp coming up and began to act like he was sick to get the other dragons attention. His mother might know what he was about to do, but hopefully she wouldn't tell the light colored skywing female anything.
Then he released the burp purposefully blowing the gas at Anila while saying I don't feel so good. Hopefully the woman didn't hold her breath as the sleeping gas floated into her face.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Aero raised a brow as the snotty SkyWing suddenly turned, giving her a smile that was probably supposed to be threatening. To be perfectly honest, she wasn't afraid of the dragoness for one second. Plus, how would Tion like to respond to his assistant being rude to his guests. A small snicker played in her mind but her face held still.
With her words a flash of anger appeared on her face, but it cooled back down when she mentioned backhanding the king. Seriously, that's what this dragon was thinking? Looks like she was dumber than she expected. If she was being rude, she wouldn't have kept to their names, and rather just outright insulted them. And not everyone has the privilege to speak to the king? Aero didn't even ask for him to come, he just did. She could've lived without talking to him.
The black dragoness held her ground as the enraged dragoness approached her, not even flinching. As she finished her words Aero glanced at Tion, tilting her head a bit before returning to the other 'thing.' "I never knew King Tion liked to insult his guests," she plainly said before smirking, "If I wanted to backhand the king, I would've done so. If I was going to treat them disrespectful, it would be way worse than this."
She took a step forward, looking down at the puny dragoness. It was only then that she noticed Rateevko come next to her, and then got his hint and took a step back. "Looks like your attitude made him sick." Aero replied cooly, almost taunting Anila to come forward and into the gas that she was behind. She snickered as she glared down the excuse of a dragoness, her tail sweeping behind her.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
They had not even exit the visiting room when, as he somewhat predicted, one of the two females snapped and took her aggression against the other. Anila mentioned about how Dynamic was showing disrespect against him, and that she should be honoured to have the privilege of being guided personally by the king. Actually, Dynamic’s attitude was not what he would consider highly disrespectful. He had the tendency not to view his newfound position as something every dragon must express respect to, but rather he needed to prove himself to others that he was worthy of such. It was also not like him to enforce any standards or etiquettes among others, especially if they were not too comfortable with it. Dynamic was a rogue, and it was somewhat assumed that she was not that well versed in those.
Tion turned around and watched as the two bickered a bit. He waited for Anila to finish before marching and standing himself between the two. Enough! He growled. Ratveeko mentioned he was sick, but coughed up some strange gas that floated up towards both Anila and Tion. Quickly, Tion stepped back and beat his wing gently, casting a small breeze to blow the gas away from them and dispel it. Anila, this is no way to treat our guests. You may demand more respect from her, but this is no way to forfeit your civility for. It is hard, but those who endured the most provoking of our kind deserve the honour of ‘respect’. Steel your heart, no matter what. Tion’s voice was not harsh, but it was sharp and clear, making sure that she would not forget his words. He gave her a moment to absorb it all in before turning to the larger female with a short bow. My apologies for my acquaintance’s behaviour. She holds very high respect for those among the high ranks.
A dragon of elegance and respect, in the presence of another with quite a sassy attitude. It was a worrisome combination, and somewhat added more to the reason Tion wanted the tour finish quick and smoothly. He felt somewhat sorry that Dynamic’s son had to witness something like this, and he turned to him before kneeling to his level. Is everything alright, little guardian? Tion was ready to call his nearby maid and ask for any assistance if the young dragon mentioned he was still getting ill. Surely Dynamic would have been concerned, but her stepping back and her relaxed nature made Tion suspicious that he had to ask for clarification before proceeding.
(( Please forgive the tiny, TINY post. I didn't know how she would react ))
Anila, even with the scolding of both dragons, had the nerve to snort-which was more directed towards the arrogant NightWing and her stupid, pathetic son. Well. The son wasn't so bad... The mentally challenged NightWing however, was something which Anila almost considered to be the bane of the world. Even through her own arrogant facade she temporarily wore, her King's words cut her like a whip, almost bringing tears to her eyes. The tracker felt utterly humiliated. If she had the strength, she would even have thrown that thing to the ground... but she couldn't.
She hated the fact that the arrogant prat had just talked to her KING like that, but, he was right. No matter what, they should always show respect, even to the idiots who didn't know how to show it themselves. She wouldn't forgive either of them. Well. Maybe the King. Probably.
Anila nodded swiftly, before her delicate paws clicked across the ground as she returned to the front of the group, not even trusting herself to even talk with them for the moment. She even ignored Rateevko and focused on talking quietly to the guards, organizing a few other things which Anila knew needed to happen during their tour. Foods, drinks, and such like that. She kept an ear out on the conversation, but really didn't trust herself to speak back to either of them.

Ratty kept himself quiet now glad that no one other than his mother had caught on about what he had attempted. It was too bad Tion had waved away his sleeping gas into the wind. The child would have laughed so hard to see one of the tribes members fall asleep in the middle of a tour.
Now he was keeping an eye on Tion and his mother as they attempted to get the tour started up again. So long as everyone was happy again he would have no problem looking around some more with much enthusiasm.

Upon hearing the king growl at the two dragonesses, Aero stood still, looking at the king. Once he started to address Anila she relaxed, a slight smirk appearing on her maw. When he turned to her, she dropped the smirk and gave him a nod. It's okay," she said, restraining herself from provoking the dragons anymore.
She glanced at Rateevko, seeing as he seemed to recover from his 'sickness.' "I think his stomach just hurt because he needed to burp," Aero commented, replying to Tion as Rateevko didn't seem interested in doing so. She had a slight frown on her face, it would've been wonderful to have seen that stupid dragoness fall asleep.
She looked back up, ready to begin that tour again even though she could've just left with that display of her behavior. The only thing bad about it was that she had to look at the ugly dragon as she lead them. Couldn't she walk behind them, or better, just leave? Aero's nose twitched as she looked at Tion again. "So, how long have you been king?" she inquired, trying to start a conversation. The black dragoness also wondered who the leader before him would've been, and if they were like him... and would've accepted her when her parents left her at the border of this place...

He patiently waited for the little one to respond but he received none. Instead, it was Dynamic that replied for her own son. However, he sensed that it was more than just a "burp". There was no point going in too deep with this. All that mattered was the two females ceased their bickering. Anila, however, was not all too pleased with what he said and, with just a bow, decided to go on ahead and lead them. Tion looked down a little as she walkes by him. Was he a little too harsh on her? Of course she just wanted to protect his dignity and such, but all she got from him was some lecture. He gritted his fangs, cursing himself a bit, before turning to the guards and giving them a nod.
They escorted them out of the visiting area and were now on the main bridge that cuts through Sky Fortress. The gentle breeze carried away the burdens of regret from Tion as he caught up to Anila. Before he could speak, Dynamic asked of him how long ago since he took the throne. Tion just turned his head slightly. It had been a few months now. Sky fortress was never like this before I came to power. We... barely had a sense of direction. But now... Tion just looked up to the cloudless sky. A few Skywings were dancing in flight, so high up that they appeared to be the size of flies. Yeah, he did not need to say anymore.
After a brief moment of reflection, Tion looked towards Ratveeko. Would you like to walk around the capital first? We may meet Moonwing along the way.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Anila carefully walked in front of the group, her wings tightly held against her slim form. Her heart pounded in her caged chest, furious with the stupid NightWing. She felt betrayed, only wanting to stand up for her King as the damn NightWing had dared to change her tone against Tion. But apparently, no SkyWing was able to stand up for their King. And it was all her fault that this even happened. Feeling a presence coming towards her, her form stiffened, a snarl prepared to tear from her throat as she was not in the mood for talking.
However, the voice of Tion came behind her to answer Aero's question. But she didn't care. It was quite clear to her that the King didn't even want her or any other SkyWing to stand up for him. Doubtful that it was their job anyway.
Anila heard the mention of the ground, and almost let loose a snort. She felt sorry for this Moonwing character, having an offspring from with this snot nosed creature. Anila raised her voice, making sure to devoid it of all emotion. "They are quite out of the way, your majesty. However, if you do wish to take them there I can arrange it." She didn't leave a for him even to question or make a comment before she already was talking to the guards one again, quickly organising to cut out the more technical side of the SkyWings in order to spend more time where Tion offered Rateevko to go. After all, the two were probably too incompetent to understand what was happening.
Anila didn't bother looking back at the trio, bitterly hating the King as she just wanted to make sure people kept respect towards him. But apparently, she was not even allowed to do that. Fancy that. A king who doesn't care about people respecting him, even when the people he is MEANT to look after try to show that they do and even demand that others give him respect. This tribe would be NOTHING without him, but nope, some stupid NightWing was allowed to just push him around like he was dirt. And no one was allowed to stand against them when he was disrespected.
After Anila quickly quelled the anger inside her, she noticed the guards questioning her about foods in hushed voices. Their claws faintly clicked against the ground, the only think Anila tried to even hear instead of the faithless King. She picked up a few word from them, something about foods and foreigners. In a hushed voice, she talked to them, ensuring that no one could hear aside from the guards. Apparently they were rather uncertain with what they would want to eat but also too nervous to ask the King after his outburst towards the glorious SkyWing.
She turned back to the King, making sure that her graceful features weren't adorned by a smile, "Is there anything else you, or our guests, would like to request in concerns of particular foods and whatnot? I'm sure Tion has told you of the vast selection which we have, after all, you are honoured guests." Anila allowed herself to done a smile at the 'honoured' part, inwardly feeling a burning hatred towards them. Even that hatchling.
Anila's actions were only superficial as she was really doing it for the sake of the guards. She knew from the moment that she had finished her sentence that if the stupid NightWing were to take advantage of her seeming hospitality... Anila would go for Aero's throat. Not even King 'who doesn't care about his SkyWings that are trying to demand respect for him' Tion would be able to stop her.

Yes please mister. I want to see it all! Da might be around too like you said.he answered innocently to the leader grinning up at him with a beaming smile. His little horns shown brightly in the sun as Rateevko bounced forward ready for the rest of the tour with the females tension hopefully behind them.
Rat followed and sometimes led the others along on the tour. Mostly he kept behind Anila and Tion though nearer to his mother. Though whenever a guard came close he couldn't help but run up to them to ask them about their armor, how much it weighed, if they had ever used it in real combat, and a boat load of other things. Then he would grudgingly walk away when the tour was moving on.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Well, that answered one question. Even if he was as old as she was, which she highly doubted, he still wouldn't have been the king when her parents thought it was a good idea to leave her at the border so that she'd get taken in by the Skywings. Would the previous leader have even taken her in? She was sure that MoonWing mentioned something about it. How would her relationship with everyone differ, even with that rag in front of them?
She looked up at the sky a bit after he did, watching as a few dragons soared in the endless sky. It really was peaceful. It must have been nice up there, so high up that they looked like specks compared to anything else. They made her think of ants almost, or some sort of smaller bug, just in the sky instead of the ground.
"Well, a lot must have been going on in those couple months," Aero commented, glancing around at all of the activity going on. It was a lot different than the life of a rogue. As a rogue, you just went with the flow of life, hunting, watching out for others, and taking care of your mate and young. You barely tried to meet with anyone else unless you accidently ran into them. Luckily, everyone seemed to be nicer these days.
Once Tion said something to Rateevko the female looked back, seeing as he was talking to one of the guards. The likelihood of him hearing Tion wasn't very good, and it didn't seem like he did. It would seem like he had a short attention span in this place filled with a bunch of fun things for him to look at. When Anila started to talk Aero snapped her head forward, listening as she was addressing Tion. The dragoness was glad that she wasn't addressing her, but she watched as the drag didn't even let Tion respond to her before talking to the other guards. At least Aero didn't do that to him.
The illiterate dragon asked them if they wanted anything to eat or 'whatnot.' Dynamic just had to give that blunt dragoness a glare when she smiled at the word 'honored.' Oh, so now she was making fun of them, was she? Even if Tion hadn't said anything about foods she didn't care, this graceless thing just ruined her appetite. "No, I think we're fine thank you very much," she said sharply, wondering if Tion had caught onto what she did.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
The young dragon happily accepted what he had to offer. That would be the first stop then. Towards the marketplace, where there was a blacksmith for the Vulcans. The walk there was all the more unsettling for the king. Tensions aside, all he could find near him that could give him some breathing space was being amused with the albino dragon’s curiosity. He watched as the little dragon dart to almost every guard or soldier they came by and baffle them with a number of questions. Some guards ‘gave up’ after a few questions and either say they were too busy or if he should be doing something else instead. Other guards were more than happy to show-off their armour, battlecries or the quotes they made which they wished to echo across all of history. The king smiled. It looked as if Anila’s persona had rubbed on some of the guards themselves.
Now that the little dragon had given himself a bit of distance from the main group, Tion half-expected that the topic they would discuss about, while they make their way to the marketplace, would be about respect and how rude the other female was. If he had to be honest, had he remained a normal guard and another dragon was picked a leader, and he was one of those part of this tour, he would have been put off with the hidden sneers and scorn Dynamic was letting off. He was like the guards, in a way that he was a little overprotective of those of a higher rank, or that they deserved utmost respect. But now that he took on the high role, it just felt weird to him.
Anila. He still had not forgotten about her. Now he knew where she was coming from and why she made an outburst against Dynamic. The way she spoke to him was different. There was no grace, no smoothness in her voice. It was almost neutral. A bit tensed. Especially with how she said ‘honoured’ to Dynamic. Tion closed his eyes, sighing quietly. He just wanted everyone here to get along and let this tour run as smoothly as possible. If there was any way for him to commune to Anila telepathically, he would have let her know that their guest was being a little…difficult. But what could he do? Had to make a good impression to a rogue.
Oh but we must insist, Tion replied to Dynamic after she refused Anila’s offering. Anila is gifted in a number of talents, one of which is her ability to manage events such as these for efficiency and the comfort of our guests. It would be a shame if our servants have been standing by for nothing. After all, it is a long walk. And you are not the only stomach to feed. Tion glanced at her child briefly, still talking to the guards. It was blatantly obvious that something in Anila’s words struck Dynamic’s nerve, the seemingly kind comment masking some bitterness that seeped from her voice. But he carefully planned his response. If Dynamic was not hungry, at least she should consider her child. And Tion hoped Anila caught on that he was not solely going against her. I will recommend our Mountain Quail. Small but satisfying to even the most sceptical of pellets. Tion then nodded to Anila, beckoning to her that he would like to have a few with him.
Tion looked forward, on the great bridge through the fortress lined with the banners of Skywings. It looked as if it stretched to the horizon, yet the marketplace was all the way along this road. Many buildings and side bridges branched away, without choking the landscape as if they were deep inside a busy city. Instead, everything from the structures to the aura and environment seemed to be in perfect harmony, as if to remind them that they were still high in the air. This was no heaven, but it should surely give peace to the hearts of even those in a bad day.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
((Sorry for the short post... I am bringing another character in here after this though D: ))
Anila didn't let Aero's harsh tone or snappiness hurt her anymore, the tone may have burned into the back of her mind, their snappiness and harshness. But she expected as much from the low-life. Anila kept the graceful smile on her face, about to lower her head in acknowledgement to what Aero had so wonderfully demanded. However, Tion beat her to speaking and Anila stopped the half gracious bow to listen to him. It was, after all, the least that she could do to show him that she still respected his leadership, even though he was being a rather nice jerk.
Anila didn't expect the half praise and insistence from Tion, which surprised her rather thoroughly. Maybe he wasn't the worst leader to be a tracker for after all...
For now, Anila just let the talking go with Tion, quietly and patiently waiting for Aero to decide if she was going to starve her child or not. After that, she would leave to organise the food for their guests and her King of course. It was the least that she could do, the hatchling was probably starving.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Thorin, the mighty SkyWing guardian chuckled as he watched the smaller dragons run around and do their daily chores. He was a rather tall and dominating figure around these parts and was larger than even the tallest purebred SkyWing. It was not thanks to his height that gave his inheritance away, but his shining and strong purple scales. However, he possessed no NightWing powers, and sometimes would entertain the passing hatchlings with a little bit of purple lightning passing between his claws. Cracking his back slightly, Thorin looked around the grounds, trying to figure out the time...
His eyes, however, spotted a rather peculiar sight. A pale hatchling accompanied by that gorgeous dragoness Anila and the handsome king Tion. Next to them, was another gorgeous NightWing, someone who he doubted actually lived in the SkyWing kingdom currently. Thorin allowed a half smile to himself, before figuring it was about time that his shift ended. Worst came to worst, he would make the time up later.
Thorin, with a rather confident stride, came up to the small group. He caught the end of the exchange, and gave Anila a quick glare-one that she would feel on the back of her head but not be game enough to turn around and look. He made himself known to them, not by speech but by actions. Thorin gave them a polite bow, especially to the King and his guests. He, rather deliberately, still donned his guard armour, which hid only some of his giant figure. "Greetings your Majesty, without anyone else seeing, he gave Tion a sly wink, Â and his guests, what brings you here today in such a wonderful time and place? My name is Thorin, and I am one of Tion's guards around here.
If you wouldn't mind my input, I would also recommend the veal that Anila can also organise to have made, it is also quite nice. If you prefer something smaller, then I must agree with Tion, the quail is the way to go." Thorin bowed again to the newcomers, the purple scales easily visible so they would know that he too was a NightWing. Thor could easily sense that Anila's annoyance had peaked again, but knew that Anila would never show it when she had been told off once by the king, although he didn't know that... But still, she didn't show her reaction to the appearance of this extremely competitive dragon who didn't get the concept of jokes.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
After finally pausing their tour to eat Ratty took to the air flying in little circles over and around Aero, Anila, Tion, and whatever guards or other skywing subordinates who were present. Then he balks to the left steering toward the ground to land as a platter of refreshments arrived. Hungry from the days excursions Rat waited for the dragon giving the snacks to finish before politely grabbing at the food to eat. If the little pieces of grub smelled good he'd certainly eat them. It was as the child was stuffing his face that another guard arrived, this one in a fine cloak of purple scales. He was taller than any of the skywings that they had seen so far, and his darker scales reminded Rateevko a bit of his mother. Immediately he dropped the food and skittered up to the big male.
Hi I'm Rateevko! Ratty offered the excited greeting to the purplish guard while bobbing his head up and down like a baby bird.

(Sorry for the really crappy post)
Aero listened as the king insisted that she should have some food brought to the group. Maybe she misheard Anila's sneer and was just overreacting. She flicked her tail, looking over at Ratty when he mentioned him. Her child was almost hard to find as he was flying all over the place, seemingly full of energy. She knew how long that was going to last.
Before the female could reply another dragons came to the group. He was the same height as her, which slightly annoyed her and caused another swoosh of her tail. The male was also purple, probably having something to do with NightWing heritage, and he was strong. It didn't make her feel any better that she would probably have a hard time fighting him if it came down to that.
"Well," she started, "I think that the veal sounds delightful if you'd be so generous to make it for us." Saying that to the three she turned her full attention on Thorin. "We are here because my son wanted to see his father." Aero said to him, almost in a way that seemed like she didn't want him to try anything on her, even if he didn't plan to.
Taking a breath she looked around at the buildings of the tribe. It really was peaceful and the way it made you feel so close to the sky just made her want to fly. She reshuffled her wings at her side, continuing to follow the group with another glance around.

The tension did not settle and continued to burn almost as wildly as a forest fire. It was not like him to join in this little dispute if he would not really gain anything out of it. Still, he had to do all he can satisfy the guests. It was definitely going to be a long tour, not helpled when Anila left Tion to deal with the two. A runner was sent to fetch Moonwing not too long ago, but he had not heard back from them. All the more reason why they should start the tour heading to the marketplace.
Another face showed up right as Anila left, giving his greetings to Tion and recommending the veal to the guests. She seemed to finally accept it, but her attitude to Thorin was very much the same towards Anila, and Tion wondered if she were always like this. It was only very briefly. When Dynamic accepted the veal, Anila hastily left without a word. Tion huffed a sigh, staring rather solemnly at her back as the distance between them grew. It was almost like the feeling that one would get if they have made a disappointing first impression, although he could not say it was far from being literal.
The food will arrive shortly, Tion informed them as they continued their walk. As they moved towards the marketplace, Tion made small detours to at least show them the landmarks, including a large axillary globe that is meant to tell the constellations, and a waterclock that also doubled as a fountain. These attractions were also where Sky Fortress seemed to be the most busiest. Tion gave Dynamic and Ratveeko a brief description of these relics, as well as a small history if he knew they would not walk by anything interesting for a while. It would not be long before they reach the marketplace

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
((I GOTTA REMEMBER IM JUST NORMAL IN THIS ONE XD (and sowwie about the late reply ;-; )))
Anila, after receiving word from Thorin, would instantly vanish off with her head held high. She would ignore Tion or anyone else who was game enough to try and confront her in her rather annoyed state. Stupid king. Stupid guests. Oh, and then there was Thorin, who probably was hitting on Tion to get his attention. The SkyWing ground her teeth as she stalked up to a kitchen of sorts, demanding the meals which Tion and the oh so lovely and gorgeous guests asked for. Seeing her in a seething fury, the cooks did exactly what she had asked as quickly as they could. With a growl, Anila snatched the several meals from them, placing them on her back as the carrier was designed for that.
On her way back, she couldn't help but notice that the dark SkyWing was trying to entertain the young dragon, showing off his armour and his abilities to him. Purple lightning flashed from Thorins paw, and Anila rolled her eyes. The showoff. Just bloody lovely. She thought bitterly, before approaching the King yet again. Mockingly, Anila would bow, before delicately handing out the food, a smile plastered on her face.
"I hope that the food suits you King and our guests." Anila said cheerfully, but someone who would know her extremely well would be able to see through the cheery facade and know that she was rather peeved. However, Anila didn't think anyone would be able to.

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
(OOC: You guys have nice good sized posts and I have no muse for big one ;-; )
IC: Thorin seemed quite happy to show off to Rateevko making he young boy immensely envious of him. He wished he could use electricity or have awesome armor... Maybe even be big and strong. With the way he was growing Rat wouldn't even make it to his mothers size and he considered that a problem.
I wish I could live here. I want to be a knight or guard and get stronger. Ratty said this with a somewhat sad tone as he looked down tot eh ground at his tiny paws. He was so minuscule even for a seven year old. He still was the size of his younger siblings, and there was not much chance that he would ever become large enough to be a guard and wear heavy armor..

Re: Gone with the wind (open all skywings)
Aero watched as Anila dashed off to get their food before turning back to the king. Tion had taken to entertaining Ratty as they walked, and she could occasionally see flashes for purple. The trip had been entertaining, as well as interesting. The female got to learn a lot that she didn't, as well as wonder what her life would be like if she actually did grow up in the tribe. Those thoughts annoyed her, but she was still curious.
As she opened her maw to ask Anila came back with the food. She'd have to admit, it smelled good. When Aero received her food she mummered a thank you before taking a closer sniff. At first she didn't think of checking for poison, but after one last sniff she decided it didn't smell like anything other than meat. As she moved her maw closer to take a bit she paused, interrupted by something once more.
'I wish I could live here...' Aero froze, her spine prickling before she calmed herself, adjusting her spines the way she did with her wings. Putting her food down she made her way over to Ratty, using her wings to pull him closer to him and using her paw to gently move his head up so he could look at her. "Rateevko, we can always make you stronger at home. Dad could even make you some armor to wear. You don't have to live here to become stronger, I just wanted to wait until you were a bit older to train you." Aero was practically whispering to him, although it wouldn't be a surprise if the dragons around could hear her. She wrapped her tail around his little body, her wings still trying to cocoon him. Aero had to close her eyes to keep the tears from coming.
She should have know it was a bad idea to come here. No tribe was ever good. All they did break your spirit, and they were doing a pretty good job of it.
