Picking up the Pieces (Open/SkyWIngs)

Hanuel sat perched in a tree at the edge of the SkyWings' border, as he always did in the morning. No rest for the lone Guardian. Haneul had been spending even more time outside guarding the borders lately, not that it would have been noticeable to anyone. Ever since his mate-to-be, Myyra, and several other SkyWings--including King Tion--had disappeared, Haneul was in a bit of a rut. And he was angry; Storm, the NightWing Lieutenant, would now become king of the SkyWings. Han had hated it enough when Tion allowed the NightWing to join the tribe, but now this? At least now the Guardian would be free to leave the tribe--he couldn't have done so when Tion was leader. But... was his hatred of non-SkyWings so great he would really abandon his tribe? Well why not, Myyra and Tion had, it seemed. Maybe that NightWing had something to do with it...

Haneul shook his head; he needed to focus on guarding the border. There was plenty of time to think about all this later. For a moment he glanced back to the palace. He wondered if any SKyWings would come down from the floating rocks today. he wouldn't mind someone to talk to.
