The SkyWing Gathering

First topic message reminder :

Storm glided down from the air and landed in the middle of the SkyWing territory. He loved it here. The dragons were like him. Small, friendly, and fun. He smiled, looking at everything around him. The sun gazed down on him and a gentle breeze ruffled the trees.

She smiled a bit at the kindness shown towards her." Thank you I think I will accept your offer." She yawns." So what may be your name. Mine is Sarah and it is nice to meet you." Hey blue eyes search the room for any evil dragons.

Storm smiled back at her. "I am Storm. Nice to meet you, Sarah." Then he looked back at Moon. "Do you want to come back to my house with us?" he asked.

She yawns and shivers from the cold night air. Her scales shimmer blue as the moon light shine on them."So we leaving now??"She tilts her head and her blue eyes shimmer.

Storm yawned too. "Yes," he said as he finished his yawn. He wrapped his wing around her to try to warm her up. "My house is just up that hill there." He pointed up a hill a bit in front of them.

She nods softly and nuzzles into his side for warmth."Thank you." She tries to stay stand and tries to stay awake.

When they got up to Storm's house, he took her inside. He walked into his living room and over to a fireplace. He put three logs on top of each other and put some pine straw under it. In a few minutes the fire was blazing. He put some blankets on the large couch that was near the fireplace and got some pillows. "Here. You can sleep in front of the fire, that way you are nice and warm," he said and put the pillows on the couch. "Be right back. I have some food." He shuffled out of the room. A minute later, he came in holding some raw pork. "Good thing I just went to the food shop yesterday. Do you want your meat raw or cooked?" he asked, looking at her.

She looks at the pork and her mouth waters."Can you cook it for me please if it isn't any trouble I mean." She yawns and stretches out her wings. She sniffs the blankets before laying upon them."Ooo these are very warm. Thank you." She smiled and popped her neck and sighed in comfort.

Storm smiled. "No problem," he said. He then put the pork on a stick and roasted it on the fire until it was well cooked. He laid it on a small slab of rock and handed it to her to eat the meat off of. Then, he went back into the other room and grabbed some more pork, and repeated the process, except he ate started eating it himself.

She rips a chunk of the pork off as the steam from the food raises."MMM this food is amaing I haven't had a wrm meal for a few weeks. Thank you." She chews.

Storm smiled at her, glad he could help a dragonet. "I am glad you like it," he said, swallowing a mouthful of pork. "So you have survived out in the wild for how long? All on your own? I am impressed. Why didn't you come here to the SkyWings sooner?" he asked, taking another bite out of the juicy pork.

"Well, um you dragons are quite scary and I figured a hatchling like myself would be a waste of tiem for you dragons." she looks down and sighs." I guess I was just a coward or mad at my parents that left me to die." a puff of smioke comes out her nose.

Storm felt sadness and pity for Alex. "First of all," he started, "You are not a waste of time for me. Second, you are NOT a coward. If you survived all on your own, that proves it. Third, your parents should have never left you like that. But who knows? Maybe they had to leave you. Maybe they had died to keep you safe? They died when you were in an egg, right?" he asked, finishing his pork and sitting down on the couch next to her.

She whimpers."I do not know what happened to them and I have no idea why I was elft alone, All I know is there was inly one person who ever took care of me and now she is dead." A single tear falls from her right blue eyes.

Storm wrapped his wings around her in a hug. "Don't worry," he said, almost crying himself after what Sarah had been through. "I will take care of you so you don't have to be alone."

Storm thought about it for a moment. He had wanted to have a son or daughter but had always expected it to be biological. He snuggled in closer to her when she did. "Yes," he said after a moment. "If you want to, I would be very happy to be your father. But if you don't want to, that is okay with me. I just wan you to be happy." He let go of her and looked into her eyes, hoping her reply would be yes.

Storm smiled, almost crying with happiness, and hugged her again as she nuzzled his side. "I am so glad to hear that," he said. After a few moments, he let go and looked her in the eyes. "I think that maybe we should get some sleep. You look exhausted." He said, still smiling. He then left the room. "Be right back," he called over his shoulder. He came back in a few moments later carrying pillows for himself. "I will sleep in her in case you need anything. Unless you want to sleep in my bed?" he asked her as he laid down in a chair. "I will buy you a bed and set a room aside for you tomorrow morning." His tail went over the arm of the chair as he made himself comfortable.

She smiles and nods."The couch is fine but thank you." She yawns and curls into a small little ball and falls asleep.The two full moons in the sky shine thier light down on her through the window making her blue scales shimmer black.

Storm sat there for a few minutes after she was asleep, studying what she looked like. He couldn't believe that she just walked up to him earlier asking for help. He had rushed to the decision of adoption because he missed having family. Also, Storm was adopted by a kind NightWing since before he was born. He wanted to give that favor back to another dragonet so that they have someone to take care of them and to be family. But after a few minutes, his eyes fluttered shut and he fell asleep himself.

The next morning she awoke to Storm snoring. She yawns and rubs her two blue eyes.

Storm's eyes opened, and saw sunlight filtering in through the windows. He stretched and yawned. He looked over to the couch and saw Sarah already awake. "Good morning," he said, his eyes still getting used to the light. "Did you sleep well?" He took his blankets off and sat up in the chair. "What would you like for breakfast?" he asked, stomach rumbling.

She was reading a scroll."oh um I'll take beef please." She is reading about how The Dragonets of destiney ended the ten year war." Cool so Clay and Sunny made a school? Can i go to it?"

Storm looked at her in awe. "Oh! You know how to read? I love reading. About the school. I guess we will see. First I think that you should get settled in here. How the dragonets ended the war is one of my favorite stories. So who taught you how to read?" He left the room for a moment and brought some beef in. He started another fire in the fireplace, roasted the beef and gave it to her. Once again he did the same for himself and started eating.
