The SkyWing Gathering

First topic message reminder :

Storm glided down from the air and landed in the middle of the SkyWing territory. He loved it here. The dragons were like him. Small, friendly, and fun. He smiled, looking at everything around him. The sun gazed down on him and a gentle breeze ruffled the trees.

"I kinda thought myself how to read. My human parent had a lot o dragon scrolls. She didn't know how to read them though." She continues on reading.(I am sorry wings of fire and eargon are on my top ten list of book series)

Storm nods. "Nice. I love reading. They really helped me when I was a dragonet in the NightWing tribe. They gave me an escape from my daily troubles. Adventure novels are my favorite." He swallowed the last bit of his beef and sighed, contented.

Storm nods. "Yes, I do too." He paused for a moment. "So what do you want to do today? I could show you around the SkyWing territory, or we can make a room for you in my house and get you some toys and scrolls and stuff at the store. So what would you like to do?" he asked, putting both of the stone slabs the food was on away.

"Sure," Storm said. He opened the window near his chair to let in some fresh air. The cool morning air smelled sweet as the flooded into the room. "Where would you like to go first? I have just earned my lieutenant rank under the rule of king Tion. I am basically the second in command of the tribe. I help with a lot of thing that go on." He took a deep breath of the fresh air.

"How bout the shops and scroll store?" She stands and shakes the sleepiness off.

"Sure," Storm answered. "I have my room up those stairs and there is a room beside it that I which I was going to use as a guest bedroom in case someone came and needed somewhere to stay. But now I can turn it into your bedroom. You can design where you want your bed and everything," he said, looking at Sarah. "I will also let you pick out some scrolls and stuff at the market." He left the room for a few moments into his kitchen and came back holding a bag of coins. "Are you ready to go?" he asked, coins clinking together in the bag.

When they had reached the market, there wasn't too much traffic there. There were a few dragons walking around and looking at stuff, but not many. Storm walked over to a shop and stepped inside with Sarah. It was a scroll store. The store wasn't that big, but there were shelves lining every wall that were filled with scrolls. He looked down at his new daughter. "Go look around," he smiled. "Go pick out some scrolls that you like."

"Ok!" She rans to the nearest history section she could find and she picked up two scrolls and went to the action and adventure section and got the story's written by Tsumai's mother the sea queen. She comes back and smiles." I take these please."

Storm laughed."Did you even look at what they are about?" He grinned. "Now just give me one minute, I want to see if they have any new novels that I have been waiting for." He walked up to the front counter and asked an older dragon that was helping people. A moment later, he handed Storm a scroll and marked something on a list. Storm gestured for her to come to him. "Put your scrolls up on the counter so he can make a price," Storm said.

Storm looked at the dragon at the counter, knowing it wasn't so. He looked down at his daughter. "No," he laughed. "First, Starflight is blind, second, he is at Jade Mountain at the school library." He put down five silver coins and the dragon took them. "Have a nice day," Storm said, picking up the scrolls and turned to Sarah. "So, Sarah, where would you like to go now?" He put the scrolls in a bag that the dragon at the counter handed to him.

Storm nodded. "Yeah," he replied, "He got blinded when the volcano in the Night Kingdom erupted. Him and his friends barely made it out. If it wasn't for Clay, Starflight wouldn't even be alive!" he said, walking out of the shop and holding the door for Sarah. "So where do you want to go next?"

"How about the toy store and then the bed and mattress store? That way we can get you everything you need for your room." The door to the scroll store creaked shut behind them. Storm looked at Sarah's smaller eyes. They were a fascinating blue.

Storm looked at her. "Really? I will have to teach you later then," he said, making a mental note to teach her. Then he put a finger to hiss lips. "Just don't tell the SkyWings that. You know that is what they specialize in." He winked at her and smiled. When they reached the toy store, they walked inside. "You can go pick some toys out," he said, gesturing for her to look around.

She picks up a ball and a yoyo. She nods." This is all I want." She smiles." The scrolls will keep me.entertained longer than toys." She hugs you.

Storm hugged her back warmly, and paid for the toys. When they got to the bed store, he picked one bed and a mattress out that was a decent price and paid for it at the counter. The bed and mattress wasn't that big, since it was for a dragonet, so he carried them back himself. He put it in the guest bedroom next to a window so that Sarah could see outside from it. He had given Sarah the bags of stuff that she had gotten. "Do you like the bed there?" he asked. There was a small shelf that was already in the bedroom for whoever was going to stay there and put the scrolls and toys on it."So when you finish reading those scrolls or want some toys for you to play with, I will go back to the store with you. You barely got anything there, so I will be happy to get you some more when you need stuff to do. You can also read any of the scrolls that you want that are on my shelf downstairs." He smiled down at her."You can also rearrange the room how you like it. I will help you move stuff. So what do you think?"

Storm's heart warmed when she said that. "Yes, my daughter. Do you want me to just call you Sarah? Or do you have a nickname that you want me to call you?" he asked.
