The falling islands [Skywing plot]

Mei yawned as she woke up, blinking as it took a moment to remember where she was. She was right next to her mate, on one of the remote islands of the Skywing territory. They had been exploring a little around and decided to settle a moment on that small island. It was pretty neat by the way, a patch of grass for them two to sleep and a small waterfall running nearby.
The dragoness stood up as she was feeling thirsty, making sure she wouldn't wake Zyailor while doing so. At that moment though she realized she felt something unusual in her underbelly. She frowned as this feeling reminded her something, but she couldn't put a claw on it. Maybe it was just her evening with the young dragon. The black dragoness stopped near the border of the island, taking a sip of water... before suddenly raising her head. Something wasn't right. The horizon... was moving ?
That was when she finally understood what was going on. That feeling... the island was falling ! She stood there a second, shocked, before being able to react. It wasn't falling at full speed, which is why she hadn't noticed it immediately. Mei ran toward her mate and started to shake him to wake him up.
"Zya ! Wake up ! The island... It's falling !" she exclaimed, continuing to nudge him.

And this island wasn't the only one to fall. All over the Skying territory islands were falling or at least losing some height. The farthest islands were mostly concerned at the moment, but it made no doubt all this was only a beginning. Dragons were noticing the problem one after the other, and it wouldn't take a lot of time before the panic settles.

Alysha , the blue dragon, was returning from one of her excursions to be sure that everything was okay, expecially at the borders.
Her island was not far from the center, but neither that close to the other dragons, since she liked her privacy and silence too
As she landed on her own on she sighed
"finally" after a long huge yawn she took a tired look around but everything looked to be in order, and as she spotted the first little shy light of the sun rising she yawn again and lied down on her legs, and then resting her head on the front paws. she blinked few times before to...frown.
She was almost ready to sleep but somenthing was wrong, she felt unconfortable, the island towards her was...gliding?
"what the...?!" with her watchful eyes she...noticed something, she made a sort of grimace and as some of the dragon started to fly so early, apparently leading to the palace, she immediately stood up and realized what was going on, her home was falling! for a moment she paniked and roared to some of the dragons
"Hey! What's happening!?"
but she had no answer, as the entire tribes was waking up and be scared, she flapped her wings too and followed the groups, gazing behind her shoulder to her island, worried.

Zyailor was happily snoozing as Mei got up to get a drink, his ears twitched as he heard her come close to him. Suddenly he awoke from his slumber with a start, realizing that it was Mei shouting and shaking him. "Wha... What?! What is it?" not noticing the islands falling he frowned at Mei. Jumping onto his legs he soon felt the effects of the island falling, it didn't take long before he realized. Gasping in shock he replied "What in Shardas... we have to find the others!" as he gazed around shaking his head at the number of islands falling to the ground below.

Mei started to float as Zyailor finally woke up, the island quickly falling toward the sea. She waited a few seconds for her mate to reach her, looking around. A few other islands were falling as well, although mainly small ones. The bigger ones were either slightly losing altitude or not affected... at least not for the moment. What did that mean ? Would all the islands fall ? What about her cave ? She could spot the island on which her cave was, for the moment it wasn't moving. Hopefully.
"I don't know what's going on, but let's go to the palace. We need to alert the leader !" she exclaimed, starting to fly away.

Haneul was patrolling, checking each of the islands to make sure his fellow SkyWings were alright. He'd started at the palace and was now making his way to the furthest, smallest islands. Along the way, he noticed several SkyWings flying toward the palace, voices panicked. Haeul stopped and hovered, looking all around. Were they under attack? And then he noticed it--subtle as it was, he could see a large island slowly descending. Another was slightly lower in the sky that it should be. And the smaller islands were clearly falling. For once, the Skywing Guardian showed some emotion--dismay. As fast as he could, he turned to go back to the palace as fast as his wings would allow. He had to inform his Queen of what was happening.

Considering he'd been sleeping, Zephyros didn't notice the islands falling until after much of the tribe already knew.

He'd finished his patrolling for the day, and decided to take a nap in his nest, placed neatly on an island not far from the palace, but at the same time, far enough away that he received some degree of privacy. So, when he did wake, his island was at the point where it was falling quite noticeably, the stomach-churning feeling being what woke him. Eyes widening, the male scrambled to his feet from his curled up position, his wings snapping open as he jumped out of his nest, taking to the sky and looking down at the island curiously, ignoring the clouds that began to gather around him. "What in Pyrria...?" He said, his face showing clear surprise. Turning, Zephyros immediately began flying towards the palace, lightning crackling along his wings to betray his worry. Were all of the islands falling like his own? If so, they had a huge problem on their wings.

Moka had been resting with Akreious, inside his tree, so she didn't feel the islands beginning to fall until it was too late. Groaning, she opened her eyes after hearing a loud rumbling, almost like thunder. Before she could fully wake up, Moka was practically lifted off the ground by a huge boom!, caused by the impact of the falling islands. Blinking quickly, trying to regain her balance, Moka looked around, wildly. What in the name of Astral had that been? Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. Quickly, Moka nudged Akreious, giving him a brief good morning and wake up, before she ran to go fetch her herb pouch.

With her pouch cached with herbs, Moka flew off, to go meet the queen. And she was surprised when she saw that one of the islands that belonged to the SkyWings, previously the lowest island, had fallen to the earth. Many other smaller islands were also falling, as well. If the bigger ones, or worst, the main one, started to fall.... Oh dear. Quickening her pace, Moka dashed towards the palace, only to bump into Zephyros. Shaking herself, she looked at him.

"Oh, Zephyros! Do you have any idea what's happening?" the vampire dragoness asked worriedly.

Equinox was terrified once the islands began to fall. She was sleeping by her brother, Jemith, and she instantly began to flail like a lunatic.
"Jemith, what's happening?!" she cried out in vain.
Jemith stood up and fluttered to the edge of the cave they shared and looked out at the horizon. He could indeed feel the ground shuddering below him, and his vision began to shake. He gazed out at the other islands around him, and saw that they were tilting. His heart leapt into his throat, and spun back to his sister, who was shivering in the corner of the cave, her paws over her ears. She was murmuring something to herself, and Jemith realized she was actually terrified for her life. He felt sympathy for her, and approached his sibling. He nudged her to her paws.
"All that matters is for you to be calm," he whispered to her in a meek voice. "Come and follow me."
They flew into the sky. Of course Equinox freaked out at the sight of the falling islands, but she continued to follow her brother. "Where should we go?" she asked worriedly.
"The only thing we can do," Jemith replied. "I want the Tribe to evacuate. We must go inform the Queen or our father, if they haven't noticed already."

As she continued to fly toward the palace, Mei spotted several other Skywings which seemed to also converge toward the palace. Among them she could recognize Zephyros and Haneul, their remaining guardians, and also Moka, the other healer of the tribe. So the problem wasn't only affecting this side of the territory... This was even more worrying. With their lack of members such a catastrophe was the last thing they needed !
"You guys are okay ?" she asked them as she floated closer from them. "I don't know what's going on but we'd better keep moving toward the palace and find a solution and quick !"
Hopefully the palace wasn't that far now, the island on which it was built could be seen in the distance. Being at the center of the territory, it didn't seem to be affected by the events yet. That was a relief. Mei continued to head toward the palace, looking as other dragons were also coming. Yes they really needed a solution to this.

Haneul heard Mei some ways behind him. "We're all fine, far as I can tell." The Guardian opened his wings slightly as he neared the palace and landed. He then turned and looked back at the others; he would wait for them before going inside. In the meantime, his gaze fell back on the islands in the distance. Some had fallen further in the time it took him to reach the palace. Others had barely moved, while others--larger ones--still had yet to move at all.

Shaking her head, comfery leaves hanging from her jaw, she said with a muffled voice, her tail flicking politely, but impatiently, "Oh, Zephyros, I apologize, but I really must find my children and husband. I ran off in a hurry to go see what was happening, I didn't even think to look after my darling honey bunch Akreious!" said Moka quickly, dipping her head in apology to the god of her tribe, before she spun around and zipped towards the palace, flying as quickly as she could towards that location. She knew that it was the highest island. If it fell, the impact would cause much destruction. She had to be quick about this.

Meanwhile at the castle, sounds that could be heard sounded like sonic booms. Arcke had gone against what he normally did and used magic. Arcke was already off the palace but it had not yet fallen as much as the other islands did. Arcke could be found under the palace flying as much as he can to propel the entire palace upwards while also using air propelling magic behind him to help make it higher. He couldn't bear the full weight so all he could do is knock it higher into the air to buy more time. Several scratches and bruises can again be found across his body since some of the falling islands already hit him.

((I've been unusually busy lately, and I was kind of waiting for Wayra to post. I'll try to make a reply tomorrow and stir this to the right direction.))

The Guardian saw Akreious under the palace, apparently trying to keep it from falling more. Haneul flew to the Lieutenant and hovered just beside him. "Do you require assistance, Akreious?" Without awaiting an answer, Haneul moved to hover across from his fellow SkyWing and flap his wings in much the same manner-- in order to generate great winds that might propel the palace back up.

((Alright, sorry this was a busy week between my job and some severe headache))

Arcke and Haneul would soon notice that despite their best efforts, the Palace Island wasn't rising. But it hopefully was falling extremely slowly, visibly not being affected by the events as much as most of the other islands.
Mei had followed the Guardian and the Lieutenant to the Palace, looking at their vain effort to lift up the island. It wasn't a surprise it wasn't really working, it would require some immense power to even stabilize it.
"That's no use. Let's gather everyone and discuss what we should be doing !" she called the two dragons, herself heading toward the entrance of the Palace, where she just landed, waiting for the other dragons to show up.

Zephyros didn't respond to those who spoke to him for a moment, thinking. He fully registered that they had all headed for the palace, but he stayed, watching the island fall, studying it. It was falling strangely. Nothing atop the island seemed to be affected by the loss of gravity.... he remembered on his own island, the lake water hadn't risen, but only sloshed about a bit. Growling, the dragon turned, his wings settling aglow with electricity as he flew.

At the palace, he paused. It was falling,but much slower than the other islands. Narrowing his gaze, Zephyros flew forward. Most of his abilities were associated with lightning. He'd never tried anything to do with winds. He knew he must be able to do something of the sort, however, giving that his domain was storms. He flew by Mei, glancing over at her once. "I'll do what I can out here," he said as he passed, raising his voice a bit so she could hear. Then he centered himself underneath the palace, flapping his wings hard to create wind, electricity crackling around him. He frowned, trying to reach within himself in some way to pull some sort of wind ability.

(Is this event mandatory? I have a SkyWing character and I'm wondering if I need to post with her here)

((No, it isn't, I simply require that those who enter stay active, at least for the next part. And yeah I would like to gather everyone at the same place so we can actually move on))

Gala was behind them all. She was right under an island as it fell, collecting herbs for a potion with her eagles.
Once she saw an island falling on her, Gala yelped and managed to sprint out of the way, but was too late. Well, kind of... The island fell, and a boulder was tumbled off the sides, and landed right on Gala's paw. Bones snapped.
"Arrggh!" Gala cried out in pain, and cringed in agony. "Urgh..."
She saw some dragons flying above her, and the palace beginning to fall nearby.
"C- can someone help me? My paw is broken, and under this stupid boulder..."

~Equinox & Jemith~

These two just followed the others. Bleh.

Han looked up as Mei called down to him and Akreious, telling them to just meet with everyone else at the palace. But the Guardian was hardly one to give up; he kept on trying. Soon, he noticed that Zephyros had joined in in trying to keep the palace up. And it soon became apparent that even with the three of them--and one of them being a semi-god--the island wasn't going anywhere but down. With a sigh, Haneul ceased his efforts and started for the top of the island. But then he heard a shout and looked to see Gala with a boulder on her paw. He flew over and quickly pushed the boulder off of it. "Are you alright? We must convene at the palace." There was a sense of urgency in his voice, but he remained to help Gala if she needed it.

Gala breathed hard, her paw raised from the ground tenderly.
"Thank you," Gala gasped to Hanuel. "I'm at your service. But yes, I'm okay..."
She hovered over the ground, and needles seemed to run up her thigh that was connected to her fractured paw. She cringed, but knew that she must help her Tribe.
"I'm coming!"
She flew over to where the rest were, and wondered how she could help the rest...

Haneul watched as she hovered and moved her paw. Though it wasn't noticable, the Guardian winced at the sight of Gala's paw. "You're welcome, but there's no need to be in my service. I am all too happy to help." He flew beside his fellow SkyWing as they flew back to the palace.

Mei watched as Zephyros also tried to lift the island, in vain. Definitively they were all helpless for that situation, that is with their powers. It definitively seemed like they wouldn't be able to prevent the disaster by lifting the islands back to where they were before. There had to be another way, though.
She noticed Haneul and Gala arriving, but soon noticed Gala's paw was in an unusual posture.
"Gala, are you wounded ? I'm sorry, with all this I don't have anything on me I could use to treat a wound..." she apologized.
