The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
The StarStone ~
Over 100 years ago before most of the tribes time, a burning white hot flame shot across the night sky, the bright light could be seen for miles. Many of the tribe watched the event, most though it was a sign from the gods. After the sparkling object finally crashed landed into the earth, an expedition was sent to look for the divine artifact. After several days there was nothing new, with many of the group failing to keep up and find the stone, there was one member a guardian named Gorda. A strong and large like dragon with marble like scales, fell his gaze towards a large like crater within the jungle. Grinning happily he had found the landing site, yet he didn't know what awaited him. Landing inside the large crater a dust cloud quickly formed around him causing him to cough, with a blast of his wings he sent the annoying dust clear. After a brief thought he couldn't believe how large the crater was, the meteor must had been large in size to create this scar in the earth. Trees where fallen around creating a strange small like wasteland, letting out a sigh he glanced around for any signs of strange material. Within moments he spotted a dazzle sparkling towards him, almost making him squint from the brightness. Rushing over towards the source he couldn't believe what he found, a white precious stone around the size of a coconut. Almost looking like a diamond he crept closer but as he did it seemed to change colour slightly this time to a bright red, in fact after moving his head around in different places the stone seemed to respond with changing colours like a rainbow. It was a strange sight, with his head now looking down onto the stone he spotted the reason why. The stone had nebula like patterns with an amazing amount of different colours, it was unique no other precious stone had markings like this. As he extended his paw towards the stone to take back to the palace, the stone's pattern suddenly changed to a more white like nebula no doubt to match Gorda's white scales. Then as his claw touched the stone's surface he felt a rush of energy run down his arm's length, freezing for a moment at it felt strange at first only to find it enjoyable. Feeling more powerful as he held it in his grasp, glancing around he noticed some of the group had found the crater too all gazing towards him.
After a number of days the stone finally returned back to the palace of the Lightwings, many celebrations where held as many for told this as a sign from the gods namely Astral that they where pleased. Even members from other tribes came to see the stone, many impressed with his divine like patterns. Though many rumors spread throughout Pyyria of the stone holding special properties, namely strength of both the mind and body. For its protection from both visitors and tribe members it was sealed away in a special like glass casing, built by the best vulcans of the tribe. For over 100 years it has sat undisturbed within the palace, over time people called the gem 'The Starstone' but others referred it as the 'King's/Queen's Jewel' depending of who was the leader at the time. Though with Devi and Lucian the leaders of the tribe the name stuck with 'The Starstone' as it symbolized the tribe.
A few months after the feast to announce Devi's and Sleenia's bonding, disturbing reports had arisen from the borders of the tribe, many about the increasing issues of the Nightwings who was there natural enemy, including reports those who told of a creature killing many animals and dragons in the rogue lands. Many referred to as an old enemy seeking revenge, still Devi didn't believe that was the case, only rumors as he had heard the stories before. It was a normal day at the palace, the sun was shining with ever increasing warmth temperatures many of the tribe where outside relaxing in the sun. Still Devi had tasks to do, which seemed to increase as Lucian was making less of an appearance every week. It wasn't right, Devi agreed with Lucian that he would take most of the diplomatic tasks and tribe facing, where Lucian was to run the tribe in the background. Admittedly it was hard adjusting to these new tasks, he seemed to hardly have any time to spend with Sleenia or Aakesh. Growing tired as the evening approached he decided to take an early night, heading to his den he spent the night with his family. Though tonight there was something lurking in the shadows who was watching Devi leaving the restricted part of the palace. Namely a traitor in the mist who was a respected member of the tribe, who secretly had his own desires and to help the mysterious enemy towards the borders.

((Would the traitor just be a random character someone makes up to play? Or would it be an existing character we just want to turn traitor? (not suggesting Vale at all, promise. I lover her too much.)))
It was dead in the middle of the night. Stars twinkled in the sky, while the moon hung low on this particular night. It was large, pale yellow, glowing. It was low enough that it looked as though it were trapped in the branches of the canopy far above them. Fireflies flashed every now and again, while the snores of dragons sounded every few minutes.
You could say everyone was a asleep. That-however-would be a lie. Lights glowed and flashed from a cave, nestled in between the massive roots of an even more massive tree. The hole was easily a hundred feet high, and almost as wide. A faint glow came from it, the light and noise dulled due to the tunnel one had to go through to reach the cave. Oval in shape, with a towering ceiling and wide open spaces, the cave contained many rock ledges, gaps in the rock where glows emerged, and even a pool of water int eh back corner, where firelight gleamed on the smooth, wet skin of large salamanders.
One might ask why the cave was so large. The answer came in the form of the dragon working there. Eighty feet tall, a light grey, ash covered dragon was working at three of the gaps in the rock. One had a metal blade in it, another a sheet of metal, and the third had a bucket of some sort of substance. The vulcan would periodically super-heat one of her forges with a blast of pure, hot, white light.
She was working on some armor she'd promised one of the guardians. He'd asked for yesterday, and demanded it be done the next day. Vale had angrily snapped at him that there was no possible way, but after a quick bout of angry shouts (which often mounted when Vale was around) she finally caved after he challenged her about her job. And now she was loosing sleep to the stupid guardian. I swear, that jerk won't live to use this armor. She hissed mentally, still pounding at the sheet of metal to shape it. She stopped and stiffened at the sound of something shifting outside her cave. Yellow eyes narrowed, and the massive dragoness made her way up the tunnel to the outside, her eyes glancing around keenly. She twisted at another noise. "Who's there?" She hissed, trying to keep her voice as low as she could. Not that she really had to worry. Her cave was set out far from the others so her clanging didn't disturb them. After a few minutes of silence, she turned back to her cave, casting one last glance around her, before diving back into the cave and her work.

((RPing both the traitor and Hikari. For those who don't know, the traitor is male and a Scholar, and isn't fond of Devi. That's what we have so far. I'll post a pic of him in the sign up topic when I find one. Hikari will be quick, because he's sleeping xD))
Atop a mountain not far from the palace, a form lay curled on the ground beneath an overhang off rock, breathing softly, caught completely in sleep. Hikari was, as always, exhausted from his day of patrolling, and was sleeping deeply in his makeshift den. It had been many months since he'd seen his mate, Jade, and he'd officially moved, not being able to comfortably stay in that empty den anymore. They'd had no hatchlings, so he'd had nothing to distract him from the loss. The already stoic dragon had grown more stoic, and thrown himself into his work. He wouldn't wake until morning, when the light of dawn pierced it's way through his eyelids.
Yellow eyes opened to late night as the Scholar roused himself. They'd agreed, tonight was the night. It was time for them to get what they deserved. Mostly their precious leader, however some of the more irritating of his tribe deserved some of this as well. Yalta uncurled his body, yawning widely and lifting himself to his feet, out of his den practically before he was fully awake. Opening his wings, he took to the air, rising on a warm draft that, thankfully, lasted almost the whole five minutes it took him to get to the palace. He landed not far from the Vulcan's den, his tail sweeping with a rustle over the ground, and his claws clicking slightly in his landing. He hurried past before she could notice him, escaping into a tree near the side of the palace. A smile of amusement touched his face when Vale appeared only after he'd hidden, looking around for a dragon that was no longer there. He glanced back at her once, until she went inside, and waited until the hammering sounds restarted before turning forward again. And just in time, he was. There came Devi, strolling along as if he had not a care in the world. Rather early for him to go home, but Yalta didn't see how an earlier change in schedule could hurt his plans now. If anything, they were a bit looser from the moment Devi decided his family was more important than running an entire tribe. He may even have time to get the stone to his accomplice before the agreed time. Narrowing his gaze, he sat to wait until Devi was out of sight, and there was no sign of any more dragons about.
((Both ended up a bit short :/ I wanted to give others time to post before he goes ahead and takes the gem.))

Hyruu was just outside his cave, gazing at the setting sun. He was lazily lying at the border of the cliff, one of this paws hanging over the border while he was looking at the scenery. And what a scenery it was ! Never he would get bored at the way his territory looked like at that particular time of the day. The jungle was lit and reddened by the setting sun, which colored the top of the trees in a unique orange tone. The sea at the border of the territory was shining, the water reflecting the orange sun, adding to the beauty of it all. His grey scales were also reflecting this particular light. This was remembering him sweet memories. Namely the moment he had proposed his mate. Yeah, truly an intense moment.
The grey dragon continued to gaze at the setting sun, lost in thoughts and memories of this fairly recent event. It has been a few months since the feast, and his life was just everything he had ever wanted. He was a Tracker in his tribe, and he was living peacefully in his own little territory with a gorgeous mate. Yeah, life was great. The sun soon finished to set, and the intense coloration faded to let the cold tones of the night. Hyruu stood up and headed inside his den. Aquamarine was dealing with some stuff in the Seawing territory, so at the moment he was alone. He had a small sigh as he already missed her. His cave was feeling cold without her. He who was used living alone his whole life...
Well at the moment he had nothing else to do but sleep. The dragon made himself comfortable and soon fell in a relaxing sleep, his breathing slowing.

Re: The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
Aakesh was flying just outside the palace, finishing to train a new stunt. Because he was the best flyer around, it was his job to find them after all ! But this one was fairly tricky. Not many dragons would be able to do it, and this probably one of his most risky stunts. But it looked damn good ! The evening was getting close though, and all this flying had tired him. And besides he really wanted to see Devi ! His adoptive father was spending less time with him, but not because of Sleenia like he had initially feared. He was spending more and more time at the palace dealing with boring stuff, and he could see he was clearly tired when he was coming back home. Maybe it was linked to the fact he hadn't seen Lucian for a while.
The young dragon flew toward the palace, his eyes scanning the area. Devi might be on the way home right now. He got a grin when he spotted him heading away from the palace. Ah there he was ! Aakesh began to dive toward the ground, closing his four wings and reaching an impressive speed as he was getting closer from the ground. At the very last moment, he opened his wings again and brutally changed his trajectory, now flying so close from the ground he could touch it with his claws if he wanted to. Still flying surprisingly fast, he rushed past Devi, taking an extremely tight turn as he began to circle around him. After a last turn he flew right above Devi's back, angling his two sets of wings in opposite directions to slow himself down. This particular braking technique was powerful enough for him to completely stop right above Devi's neck, and Aakesh instantly hugged it with all paws and wings.
"Devi !" he simply cheerfully exclaimed.

Re: The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
Sleenia had a long day, healing and helping few dragons, fortunately it wasn't nothing serious, but she couldn't help but feel unconfortable, like someone was staring behind her, a bad feeling.
Now she was sleeping in her private place, waiting for Devi and Aakesh, knowing that Devi had many things to do as leader of the tribe and even with her helpo he was still busy would have come to sleep later, and Aakesh too, considering how many energy this young dragon have was probably still playing and training to entertain himself.
The bad sensation didn't left Sleenia even in her dreams...in fact she was having a bad one:
Sleenia was walking in the palace, but there was no light, like the moon and ther stars were stolen, and no one around. the claws of her paws making a ritmic sound that seemed to cause to much noise, and everything had a spectral intimidating apparence. An unexpected cold wind hit her with force from behind, opening with a slam the main doors, she turned her neck to look behind, but there was nothing, now looking foward again she noticed a little spark in the darkness of the room, and a moment later she was walking closer and closer to the "stone", the one that seemed to live by itself and mentioned in many stories. as she was very close to it she stared for a moment, looking at the wonderfull jewel and feeling the incredible energy inside it, but she started to hear some voices and echoes from far away, but being closer and closer, she looked back again, and widened her eyes in terror, she saw a land full of dragons fighting each other or trying to escape, many different type of dragons, but..her family too! "NO!!!" she wanted to scream, but no one could her her, turning back to the jewel her hearth stopped for a moment, blood, blood dripping from the base of the place where the stone has been put in security, now covering the white stairs of the pedestal whit black/red dense substance, "oh no" she said looking at this bad presage, and the screams from the dragons that were fighting outside in the land below where she was become louder, a couplè of dragon crossedthe sky very close to sleenia, letting the victim they were carrying with the claws fall from there, and echoes in her head made it all more caotic, she saw old members, and new one, like..."DEVI!" she screamed in terror
"you can't help them"
she turned looking around in the darkness
"who is ther...!?" she had no time to complete the phrase that it looked like all the shadows were taking a solid form, curving and raising upon her
"NO ONE CAN!"
and so, the massive darkness crashed down on Sleenia with violence.
She went back to reality almost jumping and raising her head so fast that she was dizzy, but not only for that
She gasped and had an uncrolled breath, she looked around, feeling suffocated, but there were nothing apparently, the sun has completely disappeared and it was just a serene night and the usual sounds of the nature around them
"it ..it was a dream.." she whispered to herself, noticing that her mouth was dry, she put herself on her feet to go at one of the fountain in the palace to lap some fresh water, in her mind the nightmare was in part clear, in part blurred, and she was fighting with herself because thinking about it was causing dimsconfort, but she ended analizing it, thinking that nothing happen with no reason, she walked making no noise in the direction of the stone, greeting the guardians of the lightwings with a gently bow of her head and finally entering the room.
The light coming from it was strong and she sighed looking at it, feelin relef from the nightmare, but still having some flash of it while looking at the Starstone, she stepped closer and looked at it, frowing
"what that dream means...?" she asked to herself, but it was like she was questioning herself too, but she was sure about one thing: if the Starstone would ever end in bad hands, it would be a disaster and an immense danger. Desolation and destruction instead of what the power of the stone should be used for.
Then, even if she was absorbed by her thoughts, something captured her attention
looking with the corner of her eyes she sensed something, and it was hard to define it at first, but...someone was coming. She quickly hided in a corner of the room, in the shadows, and waited
//if she see someone coming to steal it she would ask why, and perhaps try to stop it or alert the guards, but obviously with that i don't mean sleenia will stop the traitor, just try, and owever, i can imagine that someone who meditate to do something like this must have some tricks to flee with not many troubles

Re: The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
Walking back towards the den he noticed a gust of wind brush past his neck, looking slightly confused he suddenly spotted a fast object fly past. Within moments he realized it was Aakesh, unable to speak before he hugged his neck, he chuckled glancing towards him "Hey Aakesh, what you been up too?" he spoke softly as he continued walking. Smiling he wasn't too far from the den, still unaware that Sleenia wasn't there.

Aakesh stopped his hug to sit on his favorite spot at the base of Devi's neck. He used two of his four wings to stabilize himself in this position, the two others folded on his back.
"I'm almost perfecting that new trick. So yes good day. And you ? They haven't been too boring with you today ?" he asked, tilting his head.

As Devi entered the den, he replied "No... luckily but a bit tired" letting out sigh he noticed Sleenia wasn't here. That was strange he couldn't remember a time when Sleenia wasn't here without a reason at least. Still he accepted it, must had been some healer work that she got stuck up in. Laying down on his bed, grabbing Aakesh with his paws he chuckled "Well after all that training and playing I bet your tired" nuzzling his snout he placed him close to his own paws, so it was easier to talk to him.

Aakesh let Devi pull him next to his paws, his own head at the same level as Devi's. Quickly looking around him, he noticed Sleenia wasn't there. That was unusual, she always had been here when he was coming back to the den.
"Yes, I'm pretty tired. But where's Sleenia ? Does she have something to do ?" he asked.

There was an abrupt clang of metal on stone as Vale dropped what she was doing angrily, and bounded out of her cave, snorting at the other voices that disturbed her. Didn't they know it was the middle of the night? "Alright, who in the name of Shardas is awake at this friggin hour?!" She snarled in a pale attempt at quiet, glaring around angrily. This was before she noticed it was one of her leaders and his kid. She sighed, letting her head drop. "Oh, it's you." She said, then tipped her head. "Funny thing is, I coulda sworn I heard someone else moving around up here, though they didn't show themselves." She shrugged and turned to return to her work. "'Night. S'rry for yellin." She turned back to her cave to finish the elaborate armor. She'd almost finished with it.

((Hikari will be out til morning, and I'm not typing 200 words about a sleeping dragon xD))
Yalta watched briefly as Devi and that four winged hatching of his... what was his name? Started with an A.... Whatever it was, they spoke to each other rather loudly for the current time of day before heading off. Probably to their den, he assumed. Staying in the tree for a moment, he simply listened. Other than Vale coming out once more, this time to talk to the two passing dragons, he could hear nothing. Yalta nodded, leaning back in the tree a bit and pulling his tail over to himself, nosing under it and pulling off a scroll that he'd tied there earlier in the day. It was his excuse for being in the more restricted section of the palace. It was a script with writings older than the current, to the point where the runes being used were far foreign to those regular dragons would know. Finding an old document or dictionary with these runes was his "goal". He doubted many would argue with him on it. As for being up this late, Yalta was known for not being once to pay attention to time of day when he worked.
Slithering down from the tree and brushing himself free of leaves, the Light Wing male made his way over towards the doors. It was a simple matter getting past the guardians. They accepted his story quickly, probably so he would stop using such big words on them. Amusing, how little some dragons who avoided the scrolls knew. Stepping into the room, he walked carefully along, his talons clicking dually on the polished flooring. The scroll was in his mouth now, gripped delicately between his front teeth as if it would break any moment. Oh, he may be betraying the tribe, but that didn't mean he was such a monster to damage a scroll. Only the truly demonic would do that. Yalta walked right past the room where he'd claimed to be going. It was a branch-off of the stone's chamber, so it was a simple matter to back track if need be.
There it was. The stone, in all its glory. Yalta had only seen it once before, the first time he'd gone through to decipher this scroll. It had been no less beautiful then. Wandering up to it, unaware of his watcher, Yalta stopped before it and simply looked at it, his head tipped a bit to the side like a hatchling's. Leaning forward slightly, he sniffed once, more for curiosity than anything else. The stone though, smelled almost like nothing, only a faint trace of something unidentifiable on the surface. Yalta shrugged, setting down the scroll carefully on the floor in front of him. He closed his eyes, taking a moment to kick start his only ability - creating pockets of space. They were useful for nothing other than storing items, or maybe hiding a hatching, but they served his purpose now. A small glow appeared beside him as one appeared, and he opened alongside it an older pocket.
It was at that moment he heard a rustle in the room behind him, and the Scholar immediately whirled about, his gaze narrowing. "Who is there?" He asked forcefully, his tail curling protective around the scroll, almost subconsciously, and his right wing coming up to block the stone from harm.

Devi's smile quickly turned into a frown when Aakesh asked where Sleenia was, "I'm not sure Aakesh, I'm sure theres a good reason." Nuzzling his snout he began to relax, though he couldn't help but feel worried for Sleenia. Batting Aakesh with his tail playfully he pulled Aakesh next to his side so he was comfortable. "So what nee tricks did you learn today?" He asked with a smile.

Re: The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
Aakesh let out a yawn, comfortably lying at Devi's side. The young dragon feigned to be irritated as Devi bat his back with his tail, by now this act had become a mark of affection from his adoptive father. But the fact Sleenia wasn't there was bothering him more than he would admit. Aakesh had gotten used to her presence for the last few months, but it was the first time he felt bothered by not seeing her. He could tell Devi was as surprised as he was because of that, but apparently he wasn't that worried. Yeah she would come back soon.
"I'm still trying to make my turns tighter. I can almost turn around a tree close enough to let a mark with my claws." he replied.

Re: The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
Sleenia observed the dragon that entered the room, with a shoked expressione she recognized that he was a lightwing, and what he was doing in there in the night was pretty obvious, his body language was clear, how could be possible for the guards to do not notice it? even if it's a young dragons that do not look dangerous, she also felt sad because of that.
As he did his question she took a breath, not making sound, but spoke
"I would ask you why you are there" she said, her kind but firmly voice was recognizable
"Who are you, really, inside Yalta, what are you doing?" she asked while raising her head and with a regal and fiery position came out from the darkness to show herself, the soft light touching her scales and her eyes, with a glared and sad expression, rare to see in her look
She was ready to call the guards at any moment, but first, she wanted to try to regain the trust of Yalta and let him see
"what you are going to do would have horrifying consequences, who you are doing this for?" she wainted at the entrance, not moving her look from the dragon

((O.o SORRY. I never saw any posts, so I was within the mind that the topic was still waiting for people. I'll pay more attention now.))
Sleenia... that damned mate of Devi. He'd actually preferred her leadership, back when she had been leader. His opinion of her, however, plummeted when she accepted becoming mates with that trash that currently led the tribe. No.... She was worthless now, just like the rest of her little family. The problem he was facing now was whether he should use the weapon he'd been given to dispatch her, or to attempt to seem just as harmless as he always had before. The second option seemed unlikely at this point. How had she guessed? He'd been careful, it wasn't as if he'd given any proof towards his true intentions. After all, he'd only been looking at the thing. There wasn't even a scratch on its surface from him. "You know my name," He replied, surprising himself. He hasn't planned on slashing just yet. But he'd stayed, so now he must continue. He'd left himself no choice. Nonchalantly, he opened a third spatial pocket, simply leaving it open for now. The three pockets stolen around each other in a dizzying manner, disguising any small implications that anybody but their owner had of what lay inside.
"Who am I?" He chuckled slightly, his deep voice reverberating in the room around them. "That is like asking why we are here on this planet, Sleenia. A question there is no correct answer for, to deliberate. As for what I am doing, that is both determined by opinion. What do you believe I am here for, exactly, my lady?" He spoke the last part mockingly, a slight harsh tone in his voice that would be barely detectable if you weren't looking for it. He looked at her curiously, pulling his paws closer to him.

Devi chuckled to himself as he was pleased to hear that Aakesh was improving, "Very good Aakesh, see I told you you would be a great flyer" patting his head with his paw. Smirking at the hatchling he yawned slightly as he felt tired from his work. Still he felt worried about Sleenia, at times glancing over towards the exit. Thinking to himself he decided to change the subject, "So Aakesh how about we do something together sometime this week, got any ideas?" batting him slightly again at his tail.

"Of course I'll be a great flyer. I'll even be the greatest flyer out there ! And well we could go exploring ! There's that new Tracker that told me he knew a few nice places I didn't know. We should definitively check it out !" he replied before letting out another yawn.

Re: The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
Sleenia released a sigh as he said that there are no aswers
"no answers for questions uh? she spoke with a unexpressive face "so that's what you really think " creeping closer
"I'm sorry to meet you now, in that way, it's a shame that a dragon like you is falling in the darkness..."
she raised her head studying him
"and i'm sorry, but you are wrong... maybe we don't have the answers for everything..." she tried to keep talking to him, hoping to make him stop or at least quesion himself "..but we can feel what is right or wrong, or what we desire...even sense soething and can't describe it.."
her eyes were like burning of energy
"you shall not forget to listen to your soul Yalta instead to be trapped by the thirst of power..."
she warned him, letting her sensations of a very dangerous thing, bigger than them, that could happen, to make him see and feel, to make him be more consciouns
"you shall respect what is sacred and get back in the right way Yalta ...please...don't be a fool...you can learn and have power and use it other ways"
she considered him a good member,
"if you don't know who you really are, you are lost...but still in time to change things.." she knew that probably he may would not change idea now, but who knows?
anyway something always kept her guard up but she still tried to stop him, even if she was very disappointed,
and again a unconfortable sensation caught her, she was able to hide her thoughts and this feeling, but..he was plotting something more..of course..maybe...something related to her, but all she can say it's that these were just sensations
Sleenia stopped not too far from him, but as she pressed her right foreleg on the ground her kindness was letting space to an unknow power that could intimidate,
in fact, she usually don't use force and maybe because one is confident with her kindness, to see her now could shock,
in that case she must be carefull, and what she was showing whas just the top of the iceberg
her golden eyes didn't moved from him and the energy was clear, his mocking words didn't disturbed her, even if the fact that he was considering her that way and dared to be disrespectful showed how far he was, but she was trying to understand more anyway, and read inside his soul
"who has convinced you to do that...?" she asked,
and trying not to be noticed, still glaring at him to keep the dragon focused on her unusual expression scary and severe but also hurt, she scratched the claws on the ground, in a way that is barely noticible from this room, but that could make a an echo on the other parts of the palace, like an alarm for the guardians, and in her mind she strongly thought not only about all the tribes but deeper to her mate and aakesh, she didn't want them to risk anything and this was a dangerous moment, many things were happening in different parts of this worlds, there was something more behind all this, this iwas indeed a delicate situation

Re: The StarStone - EVENT - (Lightwing + invited ones)
I was just returning from my patrol on the boarder. Luckily there wasn't any strange activity today, that of my knowledge. I flew back to the palace, my eyes narrowing as something seemed off. I walked around the palace, and not finding anything I flew out. I saw Devi, our leader and Hyruu and decided to ask them if they've seen anything weird today. "Hello there. Have you seen anything strange today at all?" I tried to ask in a friendly voice. It sounded more like a a dark voice from the shadows, but I didn't notice. I sat down, my scales changing into a calm color with eritation spreading through them.

((This will be a bit... smaller... I used to have another post, but it somehow got deleted. So yeah.. not redoing a 1000 word post xD Too frustrated ))
Rather than convincing him of anything, her words only tightened Yalta's expression slightly, anger apparent on his face for a moment before flickering away entirely. She really thought she didn't know him? He'd worked in the palace for years, since he'd first become a scholar. He'd toiled away hours and hours and hours in this place, helping with no doubt millions of scrolls, most of which ended up in her possession at some point or another. And she didn't know him? Yet, she wonders why he was betraying the tribe. Things like this, the obvious inattentiveness, and irritating incompetence of the leaders were exactly the reasons, besides the fact that his partner was waiting for him to bring the stone. Despite all this, his scales remained a calm color. He'd always been skilled at keeping his emotions in check.
"Your words would be stirring, my lady, were you not so completely off the subject." Yalta sighed, and shook his head. "You can stop that scratching. I'm a scholar, I do know how the castle works. The diagrams are easily accessible if you really wish to look for them. At the same time though, this sadly means I'll have to be going." Lifting his tail, Yalta swept the StarStone off of its pedestal, straight into one of the pockets, all of which closed down at his bidding in a moment, any preemptive measures he was to take before forgotten. Smiling, he turned and shot for the door, his wings opening as he moved, ready to take off the moment he was free, his weapon held tight in his claws.
((A little godmoddy... sorry. But he is supposed to be taking it, as it's part of the plot, so he was going to get away anyway. I wouldn't normally do something like that.))
