Coming of the New Queen! (Open to All)

It had all been very surprising when it had first happened. For everything had happened so fast in so short an amount of time. So, allow me to repeat what had happened to Trinyah when she had returned from visiting her friend Atlantis:

She had returned home to find several IceWings standing around one dragon, who, at the time, Trinyah hadn't been able to recognize. She noted with caution that both Chloe and Frostflare were nowhere in sight, so she wondered what the whole announcement thing was about, and, being herself, had cheerfully approached the scene. What she had seen had surprised her even more. It was the dragon goddess of magic herself, Phantom. The dragon goddess was speaking to Frostbite and Solstice about things. When the dragoness had spotted Trinyah approaching, though her excitement had changed now to curiousity, the goddess had smiled and had raised her head, and had announced, "Hello, dragons of the IceWing tribe! I am dragon goddess Phantom, and I have come to announce the naming of a new leader!" dragons had muttered in disbelief. A new leader?! Some dragons muttered sighs of relief, and others had growled with disdain. Then Phantom continued, "Trinyah, step forward." Trinyah had been so surprised and excited she had almost nearly leapt out of her skin, but she managed to remain docile, though it was obvious she was excited by the way her body shook. As she approached Phantom, many would be reminded of the way a trainee steps toward their leader when they are about to be chosen as a tracker or guardian. Once directly in front of the goddess, Phantom announced to the IceWings, and other dragons, who had appeared, "We have here a very special young dragoness. She was voted by several of her tribe mates, including Solstice, Chloe, and Frostbite, that she would make a good queen. She has shown that she can withstand even the most fearsome winds in the Blizzard's Path. She is agile and healthy. She is attuned with the healing magics. And we are all aware of Frostflare's inactivity, so there is no one for her to challenge to battle. Now, since I am already here, I, Phantom, dragon goddess of magic, here hereby declare Trinyah, daughter of Moala and Arcticus, queen of the IceWings!"

And here is where the flashback ends, leaving an utterly shocked and speechless Trinyah to be congratulated by her fellow tribe mates and the tribe members from the other tribes. This was just way too much to take in! She barely even knew anything about running a tribe, and now she was suppose to lead one? It was just all too confusing for her to take in at once, and she sat down in the snow, her mouth still open from the awe and surprise of that moment.

The reason Volcanis didn't see Trinyah was because as soon as he had barged in, looking like he would burn the palace down, the smaller ice dragoness had shrunk down in fear and had fled in terror, to frightened to contain her mature appearance anymore. The last thing that you would expect to see at the election of a new IceWing queen would be a FireWing, and even rarer two, which was why Trinyah had not expected seeing the smaller firewing. She had been able to retain a calm demeanor at the time since the fire dragoness wasn't being overly aggressive and friendly, but it had still frightened the ice dragon enough to shake. Then when the large, HUGE fire dragon burst into the palace, Trinyah had abandoned all sense if dignity and had fled in fear, her child life trauma and phobia coming back to haunt her. Luckily enough, as she had crouched down and fled, she was small enough so that the other dragons, except maybe Kokoro since she was about the same size as Trinyah. Another thing that helped was the fact that Volcanis WAS a firewing, and so all the attention had been drawn to him when he had barged in unexpectedly, letting out a torrent of flames as he came. Atlantis, since he had been close to her, might have noticed her sudden fear and seen her dash off faster then a cheetah at top speeds before he so much could say ice.

But she hadn't stopped once she had left the royal gathering room of the palace. She kept running until she reached her old sleeping dorm, for she still had no idea where the queen's dorm was. As soon as she reached it she dived in and threw herself behind an ice chair, cautiously poking her head out from behind the resting area to make sure the fire dragon had not followed her, even though it was pretty obvious that the firewing wouldn't have chased her down since he hadn't been able to see her. Nonetheless, she was shaking as she hid behind the ice.

((You guys sure like to traumatize Trinyah, don't you? By the way, Trinyah wasn't gone yet, they were only just leaving the grand hall, I just thought my post would be more dramatic. ))

( don't steal Arcke's wannabe fight scene or at least his awesome scene! I want to WIN a fight out of my 3 fights!! Or tell a lesson or 2 :3! )

((It seems odd to me that Arcke would just show up and fight Volcanis IN IceWing territory ))

( he hates ill mannered people when his in a good mood, plus he was stalking volcanis, and his sight makes it tons more easy to watch too, don't you find it odd that your flying around and you increase your sight for sight seeing then you see a firewing stomp into a palace? That should tick you off no? h

Erinyes almost jumped hearing the loud sneeze and the noise of the fire released, she turned on herself lo look in that direction, she know exatly who it was...
"Oh..damn..." she mumbled, she was a bit surprised, a bit frigtened, because his brother looked to be very pissed off and she saw the hot scales of his body, that means ager..a lot...
but most of all ..she was bored and annoyed, when he spoke to her she looked at the ground and then at him again, angry, then she raised an eyebrow
"then why you came here? the snow is not that bad..and...did you just sneezed?" she half-smiled and turned her back on him but Volc was already pushing her out
"I don't want to come!" she yellede in protest, and accidentally, because of her movementes to rebel at him, she slashed the snow with a paw and it...hitted Volc face
She was paralysed for a second and then started to laugh, she really tryed to stop but she couldn't ...until....she saw the snow evaporating and the eye full of rage of his brotyher, so she turned serious "err..s-sorry?" she tried to not laugh again
they were interrupted by another dragon, that made a good entry that surprised her, but when he spke this way to Volc she turned angry again
"HEY!" she interrupted him and stepped closer showing her fiery look "You don't want to ruin this party...don't you? the queen would not appreciate it if there will start a fight" she said, also refearing to his brother, so focused on this situation to do not noticing that trinyah was running away "and..." she gave an intimidatory look at the skywing "don't dare to talk at my brother that way again.." she said seriously, because this wasn't really the good place for a fight and because they were in the icewing territory, even if he screamed at her she knews it was to protect 'his little sister', then her expression changed again "but thank you..." she winked and then looked at Vol again
"Because I want to stay!" she said, almost conviced to have won this one

Sleenia was scared and surprised by the arrival of Volcanis, she had meet him before, and he was not that bad but she was still in alert and this time he looked almost out of mind, she trembled a little but seeying Trinyah's reaction she did her best to recompose herself, she tried to call her "TRINYAH!?" but she was going to a more safe place, so Sleenia took a deep breath and trotted foward seeying the risk of a fight between the firewing and the skywing
"All of you! stop!" she said seriously "guards?! were are you? you are supposed to keep the situation under controll, and to protect the queen and the palace expecially during this event" she said in a determinied but a bit ironic way, asking for support, but obviously she didn't wanted to cause the guards to attack, just to stop the brawl
some dragons of the icewing for the most looked at them with distrust, and the guards surrounded them, one of the guardians intimidated
"It's better for you to change you actitude strangers...other way..fly away!" he ordered
Sleenia was still scared but didn't losed time and used her power to surround almost everyone to stay calm
"what are your intentions volcanis? are you out of your mind?" she thought, but her thoughts touched the dragon's mind

"sighs...I hope trinyah is okay..Atla will reach her i guess.."

no complaints as long as you keep his attitude under control guards Arcke said as he flew back with a flap of his wings and sat near the corner of the throne just watching then

SnowFall had already given her praise to Trinyah and left the palace about one hour ago. She was tired and sometimes hated the loud noises. It was also crowded, people entering and leaving; it had took her a while for Snow to get out. Now she was resting peacfully, on the soft snow when a loud roar sounded. She got up, freaked out, and first tried to blend herself in. Then she realized that it wasn't from an outsider, it was at the palace. The majestic castle was in her view and she noticed some flames coming out. SnowFall did notice a fire dragon, but she was a female, and surprisingly, really kind to Trin. So she doubt it was her. "I can never get rest with those stupid FireWing always being annoying!" Now awakened, a bit angry, she returned to the palace and see what was up. Snow finally reached the doors and saw that the queen was no longer there. "Maybe she went to get some rest.." But, as she walked in to see more dragons, Snow saw another fire dragon trying to get the female out of the palace. He was creating a big mess. At least his sister was comforting him. He looked to be almost roaring fire at everyone. SnowFall hoped it would end very soon. Not seeing the queen, she assumed that Trin was frightened and left.

Volcanis looked around annoyed. It was only a matter of seconds that several guards surrounded the fire dragon, menacing him to not cause troubles. The fire dragon hasn't done all that way to fight against a entire tribe. He was cocky, true, but he wasn't dumb. Volcanis was there exclusively to pick up his sister. He ignored the comments of everyone. His gaze still focused on Erineyes. "You'll come. NOW" He yelled at her with a growl. He pushed her with his head, forcing her to walk forwards the palace's exit. "Move your butt! The FireWings are worried for you." Volcanis's voice was more serious. He looked at the guards. "Don't worry. I'll stay quiet today." He chuckled. In different circumstances he would start attacking everyone and destroying things. Volcanis liked to cause a big mess.

well can't help his mood, well ill be taking my leave if you don't have any errands for a SkyWing? Arcke asked smoothly,

The guards nodded slowly at Volcanis as he made his way through the crowd, and they made sure they kept an eye on the smaller SkyWing as well. The IceWings were nervous around Volcanis, and it was probably a good thing Trinyah had rushed off before the huge FireWing had been able to spot her, otherwise you could be sure that rumor would be spread to the king of the FireWings, ShadowFire. They made sure that the fiery FireWings wouldn't cause anymore trouble, and that everyone continued to have a good time. Everyone was in check, except, well, the new queen and Atlantis.

Trinyah was hiding in her old room, her breath steadying as she realized that the FireWing had indeed not followed her. Nonetheless, because she had been in a panic and her breath had been driven in and out rapidly, the room was now covered in a thick fog, making Trinyah's body barely more then an outline against the shadows. She crouched down in her snow bed --which, by the way, had always been there -- and let her body go limp. Too much had happened today for her to not be tired.

hey guards, if you don't mind, care to tell me why is volcanis always In a bad mood? Arcke asked politely

Erinyes was surprised by the skywing bravery, and she stared at him for a while, she was indeed very impressed, but her thoughts were interrupted when they were surrounded and she gave a bad look at the white dragoness,
after Volcanis also she spoke "we are not giving troubles..." she said looking arrogant, but in fact she gazed around and felt a bit sad, again she was the unwelcomed, she and her brother, she peered behind her where the quen should have been, feeling sorry that she was not there, she was really curious, but the situation changed because of Volcanis arrival, so when her brother started to push her foward she still did a bit of resistance
"but..I want...to" she was angry with Volc and still desired to stay, but not after this, and anyway he was still her brother, she cared about him, and didn't want to risk his incolumity, and she also knew it was important to go back to the tribe, since they were alarmed, then sighed and walked "ok--ok.--" she said with a little growl in protest, avoiding his eyes and openeing her wings, ready to fly away
all the firewings know i went here uh? and so our king..
she thought worried
she gazed again at the skywing, but at his words she snarled "you can't judge him" she may overreacted, but Vol was her family and she knew why, she moved her look around and then again at the skywing, now in a different way like she was a bit sorry, and sighed "nevermind.."
so she turned her snout, looking up and she finally jumped in the air and gained velocity flappinge her wings taking advantage,
"you ruined everything" she mumbled at Volcanis, a little tear suddenly evaporated from her snout, but she also know he was protecting and saving her, as always.
with her red scales sparkling at the light reflected by the snow, like if it was a goodbye, and inside she was still sad and frustated

Arcke looked at the red dragoness and thought that, she should feel welcomed, she definitely isn't evil

if you guys need help with anything I'll be near the border, I'm now a tracker you see so I need to hunt... A LOT Arcke said as he flew insanely fast like he was training 15/7

Sleenia took a breath of relief and looked sadly at the two, she knew they were good inside, she can sense it, she didn't know much about Erinyes, and was surprised that Volcanis have a sister
He was still something unclear and complicated to her, she looked at him until the sster started to fly away and then she nodded at Akre too
"excuse me.." she said moving in the crowsd and going to see inside the palace if everything was okay, since, also thank of her power, everything outside seemed to be solved
"Trinyah?" she asked earing her own voice in the big palace, making a echo
"I mean...Queen Trinyah? are you there?" she said again, unsure, and making few steps inside not sure if she could do it, but wanted to see her friend
She stopped and closed her eyes to percieve her presence or the presence of Atlantis

The faint echo of Sleenia's voice bounced off the walls of the palace until they found Trinyah's ears. But yet, despite the calling from Sleenia, Trinyah couldn't retain the willpower to go back out in that crowd, not yet, at least. Instead, she lay silently in the shadows of her snow bed, her body rising slowly then falling as she breathed in and out, filling the room with fog, and gently placing her paws on her head, way too overwhelmed with all that had happened. First she had almost drowned, then she had been declared not only queen, but Phantom had also mentioned her a goddess? And then the FireWings had shown up suddenly.... it was just too much for the kindhearted dragoness to take in one day. She didn't know if she was up to this.... after all, she was only fifteen! How could a fifteen year old hope to rule a kingdom, even if her father had been a lieutenant? It only made her burry her head deeper into the snow she had made when she thought about it, too scared to come out of her dorm.

SnowFall was glad that the siblings of the FireWings left. They had caused a lot of problems and scared everyone. She noticed a white dragoness leaving, maybe to find Queen Trinyah? Snow followed her, for she also wanted to comfort the frightened queen. "Hi! Umm.. Excuse me.. Are you Sleenia? LightWing queen? Are you going to find the new IceWing queen? Is it alright if I come if you? I sort of want to comfort her, if that's what your planning to do."

Atlantis startled when he heard the massive FireWing sneezing in the palace. Atlas was amused to see Volcanis with a bad cold, but the fire dragon looked to be angered. That was a bad sign. The seadragon hoped the ceremony won't turn in a bloody fight. The IceWings guards were luckily going to control the situation. They should be able to easily freeze Volcanis with their powers, so the fire dragon couldn't represent a menace alone. Atlas saw Trinyah running away at high speed, certainly frightened by Volcanis arrival. The SeaWing was surprised by her reaction. Why she was so scared of FireWings? Atlas could understand that Trinyah diskiled fire, but her reaction looked to be exaggerated. The seadragon immediately run after her, trying to not lose Trinyah's traces. He eventually reached a room that looked to be a sleeping place. Atlas could see a dense cold fog in the room. "Trinyah, are you there? Can I come in?" He asked with a gentle roar, trying to take her attention. The seadragon was all well-mannered. So he wasn't entering the room of another dragon, unless she would give him permission. Also, Trinyah probably prefered to stay alone after the last traumatic events, though Atlas simply wanted to help her. The seadragon patiently waited outside the room, hopefully to receive an answer from the ice dragon.

Volcanis followed her sister outside, ignoring every comment from other dragons. He didn't want to lose other time in the snowy territories, though it was always a pleasure to mock IceWings. At the end Volcanis was happy to go back home. He was definitely hating that awful place and he also got a bad cold. He noticed Erineyes sadness and he chuckled at her.
"I understand you only wanted to have a little fun." Volcanis smiled. "I promise we'll return back one day." He reassured Erineyes. Volcanis had in truth no intention to visit the IceWings territories again. The temperature was obviously horrible for his tastes. He flew away heading towards the FireWings territories. It wasn't going to be a short travel and he hoped they would reach home before the evening.

Trinyah lifted her when Atlantis spoke, her eyes accustomed to seeing through her fog, unlike Sleenia's and Atlantis's. She had half hoped that Atlantis would follow her, but had also half hoped that he wouldn't have had. The only things visible through the mist that the normal dragons could see was her glowing icy blue eyes, that pierced a hole in the fog almost magically. But then again, she would need some comfort after all of that, and she didn't want to appear rude to Atlantis, even if she was scared, confused, and unable to understand why all of this had happened so suddenly. So with a nod of her head, Trinyah's voice pierced the gloom of the fog, saying, "Alright, you can come in!" at least it didn't shake like it had when she had been in that big crowd, surrounded by dragons much larger then she was. The air and temperature inside her dorm were much colder then outside, like you stepped into an entirely new environment once you walked inside. The little ice dragoness sat soundlessly on what appeared to be a blanket or bed made of soft snow.

Atlantis entered the room, trying to find Trinyah among the fog. He saw her beatiful icy eyes and Atlas could finally approach her. The temperature was very cold inside and Atlas felt he could freeze. She looked to be scared and very sad. it was evident the massive FireWing has totally frightened Trinyah. There was certainly a reason behind that, probably related to her past. The seadragon sat down next to her, taking care to gently wrap her body with a wing. "Don't worry. I'm with you now." He told her with a sweet voice, offering his protection and vicinity. He understood how much hard it was for Trinyah to handle the whole situation. Atlas was trying to relax Trinyah, so she could clear her mind and feel safe under Atlas big wing.

Sleenia was walking in the palace and she was almost scared when snowfall reached her because she was focusing on Trinyah so her mind was somewhere else
She listened to her and felt a little embarassed when she called her queen and smiled
"no need to call me queen, just call me Sleenia" she said with a calm and warm voice
"and yes I was looking for Trinyah, I wanted to see if she is okay and of course you can come with me i guess" she said and nodded, starting to walk foward in the direction she tought to have sensed something, so after some moment she stopped
"there is it...she must be in there, and she is not alone.." she said to snofall, the aura of both the icewing and the seawing were pretty strong and easy for her to indentify them, so se stepped in the room and stopped again looking at the fog and feeling a shiver because of the cold
"Trinyah?" she called again, usure

As Atlantis walked into the sleeping chamber, Trinyah buried her head in her paws, letting out soft whimpers as she did so. She didn't understand any of this! How did they -- an entire kingdom of IceWings -- expect a young teenage dragoness to run the IceWings? And the worst part about it was the fact that the young dragoness didn't even have a lieutenant! Chloe rarely came about the kingdom of the IceWings anymore, and was rarely ever seen, so she had no older dragons to help advise her! Sure enough a lieutenant would be chosen, but until then Trinyah was lieutenantless, with no one to help her rule the kingdom by herself except for her own quick thinking. Maybe she could give up the kingdom to a more advanced dragon? Like maybe Frostbite or Solstice? She was sure one of them would like this position more then she would. She didn't even know what living in a tribe was like! She barely understood it! Sure, her father had raised her in a tribe, but that had been a rogue tribe, and for only about a year before the humans had come and he had abandoned the tribe with her. She had been a rogue ever since, and only just recently joined the IceWings. This? This had not been what she had expected...

When she heard Sleenia's voice, she raised her head and called back to the LightWing this time, her voice shaky as tears of confusion, sadness, and fear rolled down her cheeks, "C-come in..." it wasn't as violent as it had been before, but if you somehow had super vision to see through the thick fog in the room, which was luckily seizing to be, you would have noticed that the little IceWing was shaking against Atlantis's strong hide. All these changed were a train wreck to her mental state. She understood nothing that was going on, and Volcanis and Erinyes had only made it worst.

Atlantis felt very bad to see Trinyah in that state. He looked under his wing to gently nuzzle her neck with his nose. "It's normal to have fear or feel inadeguate. I'm sure you'll be able to overcome your problems. I'll help you." He reassured her. At least she wasn't alone in her task. Atlantis experience would be very useful. "What's wrong with FireWings? They can be arrogant and cocky... But they aren't that bad. Some are gentle and lovable. Others are indeed funny in their boastful methods." He told her a joke, hoping that Trinyah would feel better.

"M-my father was killed by a FireWing..... when I was very young," Trinyah said, turning her attention to where Atlantis was, "I don't remember much of it, but I also know my mother was killed by fire as well, and our whole tribe melt to the ground," she added, using the word melt instead of fell since her race was made up of ice dragons. Obviously saying such things made her cringe and grimace at remembering both her parents dying by the hands of flames. She lowered her head to the ground and let out a tired sigh
