The Elemental Gems (Read Only)

Soshi had been working, preparing, practicing. This would be a big step for her. Soon, there'd be no more hiding. No more running. She'd have to be open about what she was now. She'd now be spreading a small gift around the world for humans.

Outside of Kakos, a den of criminals, a new cave would be spotted. A dark cave that no torch could cut through the shadows of. Hidden within it was the the elemental gem of shadows, the Serpent. The darkness of the cave itself was centered around the magic held in this gem, control and hiding within the shadows. Along with this gem were instructions on the cave walls, explaining who had left it, and what to do if it was found. To try and help Kakos from the shadows that had protected it.

The next oddity would appear in Kryo, a massive structure of ice, that seemed almost labyrinthian. At it's center, a icy gem in the shape of an Ice Phoenix. Just like the Serent gem, there would be writing explaining everything. In the case of the ice magic held in the elemental gem, simply to protect Kryo with it's natural defense. It's weather.

Then in Gynaikes, a burning spire would show itself. Much as Gynaikes paralleled Kryos, they would have the fir gem, a red gem in the shape of a Fire Phoenix that allows the use of fire magic. Unlike the Icy Phoenix's maze, the Fire Phoenix seems to be more in a test of agility and perseverance being at the end of pitfalls and traps. The instructions left as all the others, not protecting their home, similarly using the fires of their surroundings.

Then outside Ammos of all places, a cave would spring from the sands. Within it's twists and turns would be various traps and tricks attempting to scare any who enter. At it's end, a jade gem in the form of a Manticore, and infused with magic allowing the holder to command the very earth around them. Similar to all the other, there is the who sent the gem, but the instructions not continuing to take in those with nowhere else to go in Ammos, and helping the small town to become something greater.

In Brysur, something different. A new sea cave would be found. One with very little room for error traversing. Possibly easier for someone who wouldn't lose their cool easily. At the end of this cave, a final air pocket, and inside a deep blue gem in the shape of a Mosasaur. The elemental gem that will allow the tapping of water magic.

The final known strange happening wasn't any new landmark, but some strange pillars that appeared in various the districts of Anthropinos. They would not rumors of something hidden in a place that would seem insane to enter. On a mountain used as a rookery for massive azhdarchid pterosaurs. Around one's neck would be a smoky quartz gem in the shape of a Thunderbird. A gem that would give charge of wind and lightning magic. However one managed to collect this one was anyone's guess, even the goddess's who put it there. Like the rest, it would come with the instructions of helping and protecting other humans, and a note that Soshi left the gem for humans.

The final gem, an opal Griffon that held light magic. Well, Soshi already had someone in mind from her more recent escapades, and intended to deliver it herself. Someone she knew who would get what to do with it. But now she just had to wait and see what would happen with the others. No more hiding. No more running.
