Concerning Us (Open to Starlights)

Much time had passed since the great invasion, if anything were great about it that was. The screams still rang in his mind and he could still feel the beating from that group of Ogres, granted he was fully healed now both experiences were traumatizing to any dragon. Out if the thousands of civilians that were demolished only a handful of them survived. Starting out it was rough, moving from home to home only to be attacked over again by either the same or different monster. Everyday had been a struggle to survive out in the wilderness.

Now it was different, the survivors has settled in a seemingly safe area, atop a plateau that was well above the ground. This had put some distance between the dragons and monsters, and thankfully none seem to come this way. The survivors began to build again, from scratch and not from remnants, this had been marked as a new day about a month and few weeks ago. To add there were plenty of trees atop their new ground so it gave them the resources to build temporary or permanent homes. Some have found a set of caves and lived in them, some built their housing or huts, other slept outside.

It seemed the Order of Starlights, the once proud kingdom of the rival SkyWing and LightWing people. For years these two tribes hated each other, it wasn't until the new Sovereign at the time, Attor Re'veer, had decided to negotiate an alliance with the LightWing king. That king however disappeared and Attor was left to rule both kingdoms. Some progress had been made before the day of the attack. But of all of his allies, his guards stronger than him, why was Attor still alive? He too had fought against the invading monsters, and in the last moment he was pulled away from combat by his honor guards and met with other survivors outside the great SkyWing Kingdom.

One by one, the survivors dwindled down from. a large group to a small one, and to this day they were now living off the land that were granted to them. Whether the gods had finally answered his message or they found the area from sheer luck, Attor was happy with the way things were now. They could start from scratch, they could learn more about these monsters and even treat them as a food source if anyone weren't too scared. Since the rebuilding process Attor put much thought into it, he didn't do all of this alone or even keep the survivors alive, it had been a group effort the entire time and he knew it.

Recently though Attor had been thinking a lot, what do the rest of the Order want? What do they think would benefit them? For a bit he wanted to go around asking questions like that but then he figured why not simply gather everyone and ask them? Have it be like a feast of sorts, something to relax by whilst still speaking of the entirety of the tribes wellbeing and more.

Once night had settled Attor made preparations for the next day letting only his shadow, Newt, and his guardian Hanual know of these plans. He would instruct them to let him sleep in instead as he'd be up all night, restless from the thoughts overflowing his mind. Quickly and thoroughly the sovereign made plans and went through with them, being as quiet as possible to hunt and gather whatever would be appropriate for a feast. Night was still upon him, and Attor had only hoped that with the moon still out he could see any threat and prey. He prayed to Kelarth to give him protection and to allow him to be one with the night. He had only hoped no one followed him

The King had decided to throw a feast. Haneul, though he was attempting recently to be more... accepting of LightWings, thought this was a little much. That is, he wasn't ready to be forced to have to mingle. Maybe he could just make a quick appearance then spend the rest of the time patrolling. He was good at being a Guardian; being sociable with non-SkyWings, not so much. When Attor went out to hunt, Haneul followed. He hadn't been ordered not to, after all, and with the King having no Royal Guards, someone needed to watch his back.
