The Desert Child [Open, Loners/Earthwings]

Chapter One. The First days.

The sun awoke K'aa before anything else. the Dazzling sun overhead was unlike any fire-lit ember in the Caves, overpowering and the likely cause of a throbbing headache. Rubbing his horn bumps, he groaned as the light filtered through the trees - Briefly forgetting where he was before memories came flooding back. Fight, Murder and Fear flooded his senses, and he choked a little before getting up. The hatchling turned to his surroundings - he'd fallen down the gentle slop that made up the mountain. Even with his draconic perception, he couldn't find the entrance. Not that he'd want to anyway... Grumbling, the lindworm slunk into the forest, searching for.. well, anything. Food or shelter would be good right now he thought, his stomach grumbling.

With a few apples in her belly, along with some leaves and bugs, Relonikiv made her way through the forest. Her pale mane gently lapped against her elegant neck, the jade beads beating against her antlers with a soft, rhythmic tune. She didn't know how close she was to the hatchling yet, her nose was plugged up from the smell of moss and freshly cut leaves.

The hushed could sense the presence of another, but wasn't sure what to do. The last time she met other dragons, they weren't very dangerous. She saw them as being a bit... open, surprisingly.

With her long tail swaying softly behind her, the oriental dragoness continued her way. The presence she felt didn't feel large, so the dragon or dragoness was probably small. Feeling a bit confident in her ability to flee, Relonikiv pushed on. Her silence never dimmed or faded, but the soft tunes of birds filled her fluffy ears.

A few hung to her antlers as if they were branches, singing and pecking at one another. Relon let out a chuff of annoyance, wanting the squabble to end. They settled themselves down, realizing the branches could easily move and dump them. With ruffled feathers, they hushed themselves.
