Missing (Open/Earthwings only)

Siaga, one of Cosmos' children who had been missing for a long time, all because he staid in his cave, scared of the outside world. Though it was strange for a very large Earthwing to be scared, but due to his past, Siaga was always a coward and it would be very hard to fix that. Months ago, Siaga found his sister, Satori. He and her staid together for a bit, but soon, she left and hasn't came back since. He was alone, scared and didn't know what to do.

He didn't even know if the Earthwings were alive. Ever since the human invasion, he thought that it was his fault that he let his kin fall and thought that his family had died. After seeing his sister again in the past, it brought only a bit of hope into Siaga's mind, that his family would still be alive.

The massive Earthwings soon got a bit hungry and had to do his least favorite thing, hunting. The reason he disliked hunting is because he had to leave his hiding spot and go out into the real world and since he was always scared, this was usually a nightmare for him, especially at night. Siaga stood up slowly and walked out of his cave, he checked his surroundings and walked out to the forest, instead of flying because he didn't like getting attention from other dragons. He continued walking, hoping to be able to get in and out, faster.

IC: Rii was hunting outside of the tribe again. Though she stayed in what was once the old rogue territory. She didn't know it but Rii was closer than ever to being found by nightwings since they had taken over the land that was old earthwing territory, AKA old rogue territory. However the scent of dragon had crossed the smell of her prey and Rii was in no mood to meet a stranger if she could help it.

She stealthily slithered, slipped, and sneaked through the forest. Her long body was thin and made getting through thickly packed trees and bush easy. Unlike larger thicker dragons Rii could hide in the dense vegetation and trees. This is where she hid now while trailing a herd of forest elephants.

However her elephants were leading her to areas where the spaces between the trees widened considerably. It wasn't until she spotted the dragon walking through the trees towards the now half hidden elephants that Rii slipped into the thicker undergrowth to hide. Her tongue slipped in and out tasting the air. It told her that this large dragon was a male, and probably a rogue by the lack of other dragon scents on his own. She wondered if he was hunting too or just traveling.

Like usual, Xia had gone out for a nice stroll through the garden. But this wasn't just any stroll. After talking to Lespernii, the two of them had made arrangements to hang out again sometime. However, Lespernii had warned Xia that she would be quite busy most of the time, so she might not be able to show up. She really hoped that her friend would be able to show up. Walking with company was much better than walking alone. But she would enjoy the wilderness regardless of if Lespernii was able to get there or not.

And so she wandered around the garden. It had been nearly an hour, and still no sign of Lesp. She sighed, and decided to walk deeper into the forest. She felt more at home in the forest than she did back in the palace, anyway. Baldirak was always insisting she bring a guard, but she had to constantly remind him that she had lived in the forest for nearly twenty years, she would be fine. And that's how she usually got out of bringing guards. Guards made her seem.... important, and Xia had far too much humility and was far to humble for something like that.

As she walked deeper into the forest, the sounds of animals would soon wrap itself around her. She enjoyed it. She contemplated traveling back over to her old sun bathing rock, but decided against it when she saw a new dragoness, slithering through the trees, before she vanished. Xia blinked. Was that Rii? She must be hunting. She shrugged, and continued her journey through the woods.

Siaga continued going through the forest, still scared about what could pop out at night. His stomach growled as he was taking a bit longer then he thought outside. He soon spotted an elephant. He was a bit confused on how an elephant got to where he was, but he slowly killed the elephant quickly and then ate it quickly due to his size, he then sat there, as it began to turn night.

He then got a bit scared as he was even more scared of what could pop out at night. He hugged himself tightly as he looked around his surroundings, he didn't notice anything yet, but knew that something was gonna pop out eventually. He sat there, knowing that it was a bit too late to go home now and hoped that at least something friendly could pop out instead of all the strange creatures Siaga imagined coming out.

Rii was still hidden as she watched the giant stranger and her prey the elephants. In her head she growled annoyed as the elephant in the far front of the group was taken out by the stranger and quickly eaten. While he was doing that the other elephants had doubled back towards her hiding spot to run from the danger. Rii held her position until not one but two elephants ran past her. A third larger one running directly at her Rii finally struck out at and coiled pumping her venom into it. Their fight was nearly soundless as Rii had the elephants trunk and neck held tightly so it could not trumpet or scream let alone breath. The rest of her body was coiled around the body of the elephant, or as much of it as she could fit. Rii was much longer than the animal and could only fit a few of her coils around its round plumpness. The only noises they made were an initial "thump" on the ground among the trees and plants when she first struck at it. Now only the elephants running past made the most noise as she quickly killed the elephant.

Rii let her coils hold onto her kill as she struck out fangs dripping in venom at the straggler of the herd. The smaller elephant wailed before running off, but very soon it would hit the ground immobilized and she could kill it in leisure. For now though the elephant had the chance to run and hide for a while before dropping from Rii's venom.

Rii checked her surroundings making sure she was still hidden from the stranger or if he had seen her. However he must have moved since she could no longer spot him. Keeping her senses as focused as possible Rii kept and eye, ear, tongue, and nose out for danger should the stranger attack.

Xia would continue to wander through the forest, stopping by a nearby dead tree and falling to her knees, whispering words to restore the forest back to its former self, praying to the god of life to take away any misery that the forest may hold. She knew the humans had caused this chaos, which was worrying. That meant they were closeby. She shook that thought away, and continued on her walk.

That was, until the smell of blood would drift into her senses.

This caused her to frown, glancing around. She knew she smelled the scent of blood. But where from? She decided to investigate. As she wandered through the jungle, a small elephant would rush right into her. It looked terrified. She picked up the small animal and hushed it. What could have caused this little one to be so scared? Being a vegan due to her massive size and her history as a nun, she would not eat the small, scared animal.

Instead, she would calm it, whispering soft words and prayers until it would calm down, and then she would go investigate what had scared it off, digging deeper into the jungle, gently holding the small elephant in her claws.

She didn't see much, but she smelled the blood. She frowned, and looked around. She didn't spot Rii, due to her camouflage, but she did spot the giant stranger, and this caused her to gasp. The dragon was nearly as big as Cosmos! That was impossible! No one was as big as her father!

Xia ducked down, hushing the elephant, which would cuddle up beside her as she eyed the massive creature. They looked quite scared. Peculiar....

No doubt, Rii would spot Xia, mostly due to her size, and the large, pink frill around her neck. You couldn't mistake her for anyone with an appearance like that.

Siaga continued to stay where he is, scared of the outside world. Not a surprise though, Siaga was almost scared of everything, mainly because he always thought that all his family and friends were dead. He looked around his surroundings again, still not seeing anything, then Siaga decided to do something that he would rarely do, which was going around to make sure he was safe. He didn't do this often, due to being scared that if he did find something, that it would want a fight, but he decided to do it anyways, just to be safe.

He slowly got back up and stretched a bit, as he went towards the trees and bushes around him to see if anything was there. He didn't see Rii due to her camouflage. He continued to look, soon seeing another Earthwing. He then imediately jumped back as he saw another Earthwing. That was almost impossible acording to him, All he knew was that him and Satori were the only Earthwings. This shocked him. the Earthwing was recognizable though, but he didn't quite know who she was. He was now terrified and just stared at the Earthwing.

(OOC: I'm a Rii alt <3 and you guys coulda skipped her as she's just going to be watching now. XD )

IC: Rii keeps a rigid hold on her elephant as she becomes aware of yet another dragon nearby. Her head swivels to gaze at both earthwings keeping a close eye on them quietly.

And so she lay there, crouched, careful, watchful, as she would eye the large creature from a distance, her head cocked, the elephant nestled up against her warm side. She didn't exactly have the best camouflage, but she could fold her frill a bit. Unfortunately, the colors were so vibrant, it really was hard to just blend in, especially at her size. However, hiding wouldn't do the gentle giant much good, as it appeared that the other EarthWing had spotted her, seeing his reaction when he attempted to get closer. He practically jumped out of his skin. The reaction surprised her, but nonetheless, she attempted to act friendly.

The dragon seemed familiar, and was very tall, almost as tall as Cosmos, and about seventy five to fifty feet taller than she was. Xia was not used to seeing dragons taller than her. The sound of squawking parrots could be heard as Xia would lift her great body, carefully walking forward, cautious, and not wanting to frighten this dragon any more than necessary. She would offer a small smile to him. The elephant would follow her, hiding beneath her legs.

"Hello there. My name is Xia. There is no need to be afraid. Whoa are you? You aren't, by any chance, an EarthWing?" Xia would ask. She meant this as in asking if he was a part of the tribe. She had not yet met all of the tribesmembers, so she knew not who they all were and what they looked like, quite yet.

Siaga's eyes widened when the Earthwing in front of him spoke, he was scared, but also glad that she spoke. He hasn't seen an Earthwing since Satori, so seeing her was great, but at the same time, he couldn't trust some random dragoness who came out of nowhere. He began to think of what to say and how to respond, she said 'don't be scared' but he was always scared. He recognized the name Xia, but didn't know why.

"Uh... I'm.. Siaga... And yes I am an Earthwing.... I thought Earthwings weren't around anymore, all I remember was being with my dad, Cosmos and my sister Satori.... And another sister, who I don't remember... But.. The human invasion came and I hid.... I haven't seen an Earthwing since..." he replied, stil very scared, he told her about why he was alone and didn't know if that was a good idea or not.

Rii continued listening as the two dragons began to speak. She could barely make out any hushed tones, but the louder words she could hear. Suddenly she realized she was spying, though not intentionally, and Rii began to feel bad. However she had also noticed the baby elephant she had bitten by Xia. It would soon drop becoming paralyzed by the venom she had injected it. However Rii wasn't sure if it was a good idea to ask for her prey back form Xia, especially with the conversation that was going on.

Watching the EarthWing with curiosity, Xia tilted her head, holding the small elephant close as it laid next to her, its eyes beginning to gloss over, but being as large as she was, Xia didn't notice. This dragon seemed quite nervous about talking to her, even though he was much taller than she was. It was.... interesting. Her tail would flick ever so delicately as she listened to him talk, quiet and polite, that was, until he mentioned something that made her eyes widen.

"Wait, your father is Cosmos?!" she said, surprised, before quickly regaining herself, and calming herself down, repeating, "Is your father really Cosmos? And your sister is Satori? Well, I will say, the EarthWings are very much alive, and doing well. But.... I am also Cosmos's daughter. I have heard of someone named Siaga, but.... I thought you were dead." she would say, her eyes sparkling with marvel. If this dragon really was who he said he was... well, bless the divines, then.

Suddenly, something went limp underneath her. Xia looked down, and spotted the elephant. Her eyes widened when they appeared to have completely become incapacitated, paralyzed, if you will. She quickly scooped the little elephant up, examining it. The thing still looked to be alive, but just.... dead, as well. Her eyes would soften with concern, until she noticed something on the elephant's leg.

"Oh dear.. you poor thing. You're incredibly sick. There, there," gently coddling the animal, her frill would shiver a bit, and glow. There wasn't all that much sunlight around here, but it was still much more than the inside of the tunnel, where this ability was practically useless. The Elphant, in return, would begin to faintly glow, the bite wound beginning to close up, helping to heal the damage of whatever venom had been ejected into this small animal.

Siaga wasn't expecting her response, as his eyes widened when she replied. "Wait!? The Earthwings are still alive!? My dad's alive?! How come I couldn't find anyone?! Where are they!? I miss home so badly." he answered, his eyes drooping as he now thought of home and his family, having to be alone for so long, just to realize that they were all still alive. Her thought of the guilt he felt with, thinking that he was one of the main reasons why he thought the Earthwings were alive.

"I'm.. Fine, I've been fine, thought I.. Kept feeling guilty... I thought that since I hid was why the Earthwings were nowhere to be seen, as I chose to hide instead of fighting back.... And I think I remember you too, I thought you were dead." he said again, trying to take a deep breath, trying to put into his head that everything's he thought about the Earthwings was wrong.

He saw her care for the Elephant near her, he tilted his head in confusion, as he thought that she would eat the elephant. "Wait.. Your not gonna eat that?" he asked, in a confused and nervous tone.

Rii was settled over her own larger elephant. She had wanted to bring back more than one kill because the extra would go to the food caches so that other dragons could eat too. It was one way the earthwings made sure everyone in the tribe ate, and while Rii was not a tracker, she had plenty of hunting experience form living alone. In fact it was one of her best skills. So to see that the smaller elephant might be lost Rii finally decided to break from cover. She dragged the adult elephant out aware that the baby elephant was now incapacitated. Rii gave them both a sheepish look and shrugged before greeting them.

Going to have to apologize first off because I was hiding just over there finishing off this one and I happened to hear quite a bit. I'm sorry. Rii dipped her head quite meaning her apology as she looked sheepishly between the two. Now that she knew Siaga was Cosmos's kid, as was suggested by Xia, Rii no longer held suspicion against him. She felt rather comfortable around both oversized dragons.

The elephant there... She gestured to the one Xia was soothing. Well I was going to bring that back to the tribe... Maybe give it to those who can't hunt like the mothers or elderly. I can catch more though if you want to keep it. Rii was trying to be nice, but at the same time she wanted her prey back. Though her tone remained calm and gentle while poking at the baby elephant softly.

As the two would talk, Xia would nod her head, listening intently. It was clear that Siaga was just very confused, and didn't really know what was going on. After she had calmed and healed the elephant, Xia's frills would go down, giving her an almost inviting and welcoming nature. Maybe now she could put her brother's fears to rest. It made her quite happy knowing she could become reunited with him.

"Oh, yes, they have actually been underground the majority of the time. That's why you likely weren't able to find them after the human attack, since the ones that were left all fled to the under reaches of the underground haven." Xia would say.

There was a sudden rattle in the bushes, as Rii came out. Xia glanced over at the snake dragon, smiling. She had met her at the training. She seemed quite nice. However, Rii also dragged with her the large carcass of an elephant, which made Xia less happy.

Rii told her about how the elephant was suppose to be her prey, to help feed the young and elder, and Xia winced, glancing at the elephant.

"Oh! I'm sorry Rii, I didn't know. I fed primarily off of plants and fruits, when I was working as a nun in the forest." she looked at the elephant with a forlorn expression, "I'm not used to eating meat. And no, Siaga, I was not planning on eating it." Xia glanced back at Rii, a clearly conflicted expression on her face. "You say you could find another one, could you not? It would not be too much trouble, would it?"

Siaga listened carefully at Xia's words, knowing that whatever she would say would be very important to him. Hearing her words, his eyes widened at her response. They fled underground? He had no idea that, that's where they were the whole time. He felt a bit left out, as he staid on the surface the whole time, thinking everyone he knew was dead, but they've actually been under his paws the whole time.

"Un.. Underground?.... They've been underground? I didn't know that, did anyone at least go to the surface to look for me? Or.. Did everyone just think I was dead and that there was no point in looking for me." he replied, whimpering a bit as he began to think more about the situation, he wondered if, if he came back, would they accept him back in?

Surprised, large snake like dragon came out of the bushes. To him, it looked like another Earthwing, as Xia was talking to her like they were friends. He began to sweat a bit, a bit nervous now, as he got a bit scared of the snake like Earthwing, he chose to stay silent. Still worried about what may happen.

Rii sighed giving up on attempting to talk Xia out of keeping the baby elephant. Her face though remained serene as Rii gave Xia a little smile. It just takes me a little more time, but I've got plenty of time left for today. Keep that little one safe until you see the rest of it's herd. They'll take it back for sure. Rii dipped her head then glanced to Siaga. She felt waves of nervousness coming from him, due to her empathy, and Rii felt badly for him.

I'm sorry to leave so soon. My name is Rii by the way, and maybe we'll see each other again sometime? Rii smiled warmly to Siaga giving him a farewell nod and then did the same to Xia. I'll just bring this back to the haven then. Rii picked up her larger elephant kill and stretched out her wings ready to take flight and leave the two alone.
