Training Day (EW/Cosmos' Class)

Cosmos wrote:It was a harsh morning for the EarthWings, sign-ups had ended no more than a few days ago, and it was at this morn that classes would start. It was rather chilly, if anything, the breeze greeted his scales with frosty nips. But, that how it usually was with transitioning from the late night to the early dawn, so many had grown accustomed to the area's diverse change in weather from time to time.

But, despite the chill, Cosmos did not postpone his classes to wait until noon, for no moment was to be spared for free time or relaxation. It was chilly, yes, but it was also critical that his people can learn to adapt to natural conditions. So, he saw it fit for the occasion, but still doubted that his students would see a problem with  it.

The elder went to the most open clearing by the Haven, large enough for many to come out for combative purposes. He was the largest dragon of his generation, though was completely against fighting for it's sake. He saw it as only a mean of defense for one's self and others. But times were changing, and so must the people.

He sat down by the waters of which they used to extract their hydration from, gently peering into the ways as he waited for the rally of combatants. "How lovely."

Satori was late, as normal. Her leg was giving her grief, not having gone to the healers yet as she was too busy trying to catch up with her forever busy parents and siblings. But they had always seemed to be busy, much to the giant EarthWings dismay. She smiled though, the caves wonderfully built and crafted by her fellow EarthWings. So, this is where they have been hiding all this time... She thought to herself, watching in wonder as a few EarthWings passed her by. She smiled, before she slowly wandered and made her way over to where this training was meant to be taking place. She groaned though, unsure on if her leg would be able to take too much bashing if the plans were to fight.

This morning was a rather chilly one, and she couldn't help but shiver slightly against the freezing cold. She was use to the warm, scorching sun, not the cold. But still she searched for her father, wandering the deep caverns of the EarthWings.

She eventually found her father, Cosmos, in a rather large clearing and she made her way over to him. Her leg ached, but still she made her way over there. Satori smiled up to her father, bowing her head slightly. Satori almost felt as if she was overwhelmed by all the new facts that she had found-the fact that her beloved family was still alive and kicking. Satori silently laughed to herself, a wide grin on her face, "Greetings Father, was I hope I'm not too late. I missed the signups from my bad leg, but I would still like to join!" She said with a glorious smile, so relieved that there were still more EarthWings which were alive.

((updating lye's size. She's now 300 full grown (not full grown yet) because I misunderstood cossy's size, and she was always mean to be his size. ))

After having (finally) been given access to the sign up sheet, Lye had started through the tunnels once more.
Having been in the tunnels for much of her days as a hatchling once she'd been found again wandering the tunnels, she knew the most likely places for her father to be, and went right for them. She turned through the tunnels, sometimes needing to step to one side to avoid some other Earthwing trundling by, before continuing, keeping her wings tucked up close and her tail help high. She looked around, blinking slightly, as she reached the first od her few options.
Nothing.
She turned and headed back into the tunnels, towards the next option. This one was a bit more successful. She stepped into the large clearing, and lifted her head from where she had it bowed from walking through the tunnels, and trotted over to her dad and sibling. "Father, Satori." She dipped her head to both before sitting and curling her tail around her feet. "Are we expecting anyone else?" She asked after a moment, tipping her head.

Vilkas had woken up almost before his Grandfather had. The demi-god was excited to begin his training. When he heard Cosmos' pawsteps, he ran out and followed closely behind. Along the way, he saw some of his long-lost family members, and ones he'd seen around but never met... Hopefully they were going to train, too, and he could finally meet them all. Soon, Vilkas was outside in the chilly, crisp morning air. Being half FireWing, he didn't mind it at all, as he was warmer than other EarthWings. He sat right in front of Cosmos and looked up at him. "I'm ready, Grandpa! This is going to be great. What are we going g to do first?"

Cold...

Not that she minded as much, but Cosmos could have picked a better time. Despite her thick hide due to the branch-like appearances of her body, it provided no such warmth to combat such a freezing morning. It was like Winter had settled in. During this time, she would be either be working in the much warmer garden within her den, or hybernate until warmer days came. But having resigned her name to the whims of fighting, she had very little choice but to participate.

Lespernii was hopeful that the warriors of Haven would not be such a disappointment. She did not see herself fighting, but she knew how to protect herself and her den from any passing intruders unwillingly disrupting her work. At least she postponed everything until training is over.

Making her way to the open pond of Haven, she foubd out she was not the only one there. The dragons she signed her name with were giants to her. Even their supposed mentor. None of these dragons were that familiar or made any impression towards her. Lespernii wondered why she did not join with Rii's group. Although that worthless male companion of hers was there and she made a mental note to keep gerself within a respectable distance from him, she should have been beside Rii. Just to make sure Rhune did not poison her thoughts.

But she quickly remembered why she chose this group. The former princess Xia. Lespernii was unsure, but she gave off a certain... vibe that made Lespernii wanted companionship with the large queen. She had yet to make her way there, but it did not help that Lespernii was within a group of giants. The irony was that she was among the tallest dragons within Haven, yet she was perhaps the shortest here because everyone, one way or another, were related to Cosmos.

No matter. Size meant nothing to her. The larger they are, the harder they fall. Lespernii's branches along her neck frilled out and she shook her head. She had high expectations from these giants. But every dragon knows that if you have high expectations...

...expect disappointment.
