Vexilas was roaming the forest alone. He looked around and heard some scurrying. He crouched down and saw amouse. He slowly crawled forward and pounced. He missed. He pouted for a second. He stood up and walked slowly away. He dragged his feet and scratched trees as he passed. He neared a cave and looked in. There was nothing in there. He walked in a laid down. He closed his eyes. He fell asleep almost instantly.

Viper woke up from her deep slumber and turned to nudge he little one awake, before her snout felt nothing. What? She scrambled to her feet and glanced around wildly. "Vex!" she called desperately and ran out of her den. "VEX!" she shouted even louder, and ran into the deep forest. Spotting a cave with small footprints leading inside, she hurried inside. Finding a small bundle asleep in the corner, sh sighed in relief and nudged Vex. "Vex," she whispered. "Wake up."


~Shh. I'm tired, and can't think right now.~

Vex pawed at Viper’s snout sleepily. He whined. He opened one eye and glared at his mother. ”Do i have to mother." He balled. His claws began to extend.

Viper sighed as her son decided to give her attitude. What was it with kids and attitude? But then again, she was like that back when she was young too.... "Yes, Vexilas," she said, scooping him up and placing him on her back. "You can go back to sleep once we reach our den." She padded out of the cave. "Now, why did you run away?"

Vexilas scowled as she picked him up and the walked away. "Sarters its boring in there. And lastly there was nothing to do.. I like to do stuff as you well know." He stuck out his heat and blew smoke. He looked around and put his head in his paws.
