A Lost Friend, but Never Forgotten ((Tenebris & Alistair))

How long has it been? I can't keep track of the days.

Alistair didn't figure that she would miss Tenebris. She remembered the last time she saw him; she was practicing her flight skills for her rank of Royal Messenger, and they just bumped into eachother. From the conversation they had afterwards, it turned out the two had a lot in common. Now, Alistair had picked up rumors that the Vizier had returned. She was surprised to discover her heart leaping in excitement, but hey; that was common to happen upon realizing a friend had come back... right?

Alistair didn't go off looking for Tenebris automatically. She didn't know where to find him, and if he had missed her as well. So, she began to take walks around the border on a regular basis, hoping that she would run across him like before.

((I know this is soft for Alistair, but it has been said that being apart for so long makes someone love someone else more or something. I dunno. Something like that xD))

Tenebris found himself flying aimlessly without purpose, he was consumed by feelings of peace. Despite the Nightwing territory's renown for being a hospitable landscape for the majority of species on Pyyria it now seemed like a haven of serenity compared to Tenebris's recent trip to the Fire wing Nations capital, and although he may of not been in any emanate danger from the land there it was extremely uncomfortable and disorientating compared to the land of his kin.
Now having first returned to Shadow's Refuge, he enjoyed the bliss of flying over the Nigtwing lands, his home. Alone his mind wandered into his internal thoughts, almost loosing himself to his own musings as he gracefully glided through the wind currents allowing them to guide him unchallenged.

Somehow, it was the time of day for Alistair's walk while her long-lost ally was flying around. Alistair took her time often on her strolls. For chances to see her friend, yes, but because she relished the feeling of being alone at times, just her with her own thoughts. A soft, mild breeze blew and tugged at Alistair's wings as she walked, and Alistair closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She stopped walking, lowering her head, and just let the wind buffet her wings, as if in play. Solitude.

Alistair's eyes slowly slid open. Heh. Lonely Alistair could tell you a thing or two about solitude... ((Guess the quote! )

She looked up, and saw something... An ebony-colored draconic figure, soaring through the skies. There were plenty of ebony-colored NightWings in the Tribe, but Alistair would recognize this one if she was in the darkness of the Void.  She spread her wings, and launched herself into the sky. Propelling herself forth with strong wingbeats, she called, "Tenebris!"

Tenebris continued his tranquil glide until he caught his name being shouted from below by what seemed like a disembodied voice due to being projected by the soft wind. Even as his mind began registering the voice his body already seemed to tense, a primal instinct readying himself for a fight of flight response but yet as he craned his neck down towards the source of the voice his heart raced, although not from the initial shock of being caught off guard but the exhilaration of actually laying eyes upon who the voice belonged.
It took only moments for Tenebris to then regain his composure, hovering there even despite his usual disinterested expression his face was soft and he gave a comforting smile as his sapphire gaze met Alistair. "Alistair, pleasure as always!", Tenebris spoke fluently with all his regal bearings even as he had to project his own voice in the air.

Alistair smiled as she realized Tenebris remembered her name. She would have hugged him then and there, but took control of her excitement. She hovered in midair before the Grand Vizier, and dipped her head. Her wingbeats steadied, and the air slightly stilled. She looked back up at her friend, and her electric green eyes met his sapphire gaze. "Likewise, Tenebris. It has been too long."
