Strong Ties (Private Asailia & Lorien )

One year after Ocean's disappearance, Ark still left empty without her caring for his family as best as he could, still he couldn't keep up it was surprising how well he was keeping it together. Yet luckily his elder kids helped out more even with Delphin getting a shot at being an lieutenant, this did please Ark as if he was following in his footsteps. Yet it still brings a pain when he sees his youngest, as they are young and without their mother, deep down he still thought she was alive but his faith sunk as his searching failed to see any sign of her.

Returning from his normal patrol he sighed feeling tired, gazing around he saw Delphin busy talking some trackers choosing not to interrupt he decided to check up on Asailia after all this time since Atlas left, she had been a strong leader. Yet quite a number of the tribe look towards Ark aswell like a leader but Asailia with the final word and commands. Entering the palace he smiled towards a few guardians he past, looking around for Asailia he spotted her in one of the main chambers. Walking up towards her he dipped his snout slightly in respect and spoke "Hey Asailia, how you doing?" he asked with a smile.

Asailia suddenly realized what she was doing, and a blush appeared on her cheeks. She quickly leaned away, only to fall over her tail again, landing heavily on the ground again. Blushing now for multiple reasons, Asailia quickly jumped to her feet, using one of her paws to rub the dirt of of her cheek, ignoring the spots on her back and wings. "Y-yeah," she said, looking down at her paws. "I'm ready."

On looking he noticed her falling over, though he wasn't quick enough to catch her as she crashed into the sand. Though with her replying and jumping back onto her feet, "You sure? Don't want you collapsing mid flight" chuckling slightly as he noticed her blushing though he thought it was only for embarrassment. Using his tail looking towards her he gently tapped his tail tip against her cheek as he wasn't sure if she able to fly.

As he spoke, Asailia instinctively looked at her wings, opening them slightly as she looked them over. "Yeah," she said, "Why wouldn't I?" Her face was still hot, but thankfully Arkhor didn't seem to notice it. Of course, even if he had, she probably wouldn't have been able to tell. Her mind was still racing, and it was all she could do not to sit down right where she was and think a while, just as she tended to always do when something puzzled her. She figured sitting right in the middle of an area where they'd recently had a fight wasn't a good idea, however. Putting a smile on her face, Asailia nodded to him. "I'm fine," she said, opening her wings and flapping down hard, taking to the sky.

Nodding slightly he turned towards the Ocean, "Alright take it easy though" he replied with a slight smile as he took flight towards the Seawing palace. It wouldn't be long before they would return so he thought about what happened in the attack, it did seem a little weird that a random group of rogues turned up. Deciding to shrug it off for the time being he turned back towards Asailia checking on her.

He was scared. Where was the big scary monster that was chasing him. Letting out a scared little chirp, Lorien began crawling forward carefully. He had small cuts over his body from fighting a bird. It had thought that he could be their hatchlings next meal but he managed to fight it off. Being that he was only one, his scales were still like dolphin skin and was very sensitive. Letting out another distressed chirp, he let out a sharp, high pitched sound. It was like echolocation. The sound bounced off a rock in front of him and he veered to the left. Where was somewhere to hide? Letting his tail drag across the sand, he huffed. Where could he hide. Letting his wings drag across the ground as well, he heard the sound of the ocean near him. The sound of a wave coming toward him made him squeak and bound away. The salt water would hurt his cuts he thought, not really knowing if it was smart to go in the water just yet.

Seeing as he couldn't find his way through the sand, he opened his small wings and flapped them hard, trying to get off the ground the tiniest bit. Once he felt his feet off the sand, he began flying toward the scent of other dragons. The smelled like his parents! The ocean and something else. Of course this was the normal Seawing scent but the 1 year old didn't know better. Letting out a squeak, he flew forward shakily, rising up and down with his frail wings. Without knowing, he crashed into a males (Arkhors obviously) leg, clinging to it with a goofy smile on his face. "Dadda!" he said. Letting go of that dragons leg, he made his way to the other dragon. A female! "Momma!" he giggled, pretty much the only words he knew how to say. Clinging to Asaillia's leg, he smiled. He found his mommy and daddy.

Having been flying peacefully, mostly entrenched in her thoughts, Asailia didn't notice the hatchling at first until she saw what looked like a blue blur fly into Arkhor's leg. Turning her head curiously, she looked at the hatchling in surprise. He didn't look like any of Arkhor's hatchlings, at least, not the ones she'd seen. "Is he-" she began, only to be cut short as the hatchling attached itself to her leg, shouting that she was its mother. A blush quickly rose on Asailia's face, and she lifted her head up, unsure what to do. She'd never been that great with hatchlings as it was. She looked at the hatchling, almost panicked, and then at Arkhor, confused. "Mommy?" she repeated. Dropping her voice to a whisper, she leaned her head toward Arkhor, not wanting the hatchling to freak out at all. "Is he one of yours?"

While flying back to the palace as they neared one of the islands close by he suddenly felt a force coming towards him, surprised it grabbed his leg. Quickly looking down only to realize it was a hatchling, looking confused he didn't recognize the poor fellow. Moments later before he could act he jumped onto Asailia's leg, stopping mid air he hovered close to Asailia only to hear what the hatchling cried out, gasping he frowned with a worried look. "No... Asailia..." he replied with a saddened tone as he guessed that the scared hatchling lost his parents. Slightly flying underneath her he nuzzled Lorien with his paw grabbing him gently, "Come on little guy, lets get you back" placing him onto of his head in his mane, smiling slightly he shook his head slightly towards Asailia as he took a moment to gaze around in case he could spot his parents. Sighing he thought it would be best to return to the palace so the little guy was safe, "Lets head back, we can find out more when where back" he replied as he worried for the little guy, hopeful that he could find his parents that where maybe in the tribe, after all he seemed to be a Seawing.

Asailia glanced at the hatchling worriedly, her head tipping to the side. What was a hatchling doing out all alone? And an obviously SeaWing one, at that. Though, Arkhor was right. The palace would be a much safer place for a hatchling than out in the wild. She turned her gaze on Arkhor as she flew after him, musing for a moment. After all, Ark had two passed mates, and a lot of children to take care of. Setting aside whatever she took his feelings to be, would her having ferlings for him not just cause more trouble? He was so busy, she didn't want to strain what relationship at all. Asailia shook her head in frustration, opening and closing her tail flower a few times. But, if she never said anything, it would be an awfully frustrating existence. Asailia frowned. She could see the palace in the distance now, thankfully. This whole day had been very confusing for her.

Soon enough they arrived at the palace, with Lorien still on he head he did feel sad for the poor guy, yet there still was hope that his parents where around. Nuzzling his paw against his snout, he turned towards Asailia and spoke "So.. lets go see if anyone of the tribe has reported a hatchling missing" pausing for a moment he frowned and continued "I just hope that's the case" sighing it did remind him of his childhood with Lorien's story similar to his own.

Asailia nodded in agreement as she folded her wings neatly to her sides, her eyes on the floor. She wasnt wuite sure how to act at the moment, so she figured being silent was the safest. She trotted easily towards the scholar's area, where the reports came from. Hopefully there would be something for them to work off of on finding the hatchling's home.

Walking close to Asailia, his attention was towards Lorien. Though he couldn't help but glance towards Asailia now and again, sighing slightly he shook his head and raised a brow towards Lorien who was seemly playing with his mane. Stopping close to the entrance of the scholar's area, he sat playing with Lorien as Asailia went inside.

Asailia glanced back at Lorien and Ark, smiling at their interactions. Cute, she thought, not exactly sure which one she meant it for. Then, turning, she made her way into the scholar's area. It only took her a few moments to check, considering it wasn't often a hatchling went missing. No parents had reported a missing child. Shaking her head, Asailia turned, trotting back out of the room. "No luck," she said, staring down at her paws. "Nobody has reported a missing hatchling."

Looking up towards Asailia as she returned, he could tell from her face that it wasn't good news. Sighing as he heard her, he frowned gazing towards the floor for a moment. "What did you want to do? I feel that this little guy won't want to leave us" Unsure what to do, he wanted to look after the guy but with his own kids and busy life it would be hard with a newly born. While thinking to himself he could feel Lorien moving around him, playing with his tail.
