A Shocking Meeting (Private With Helios)

Darkshade was now almost getting to the age of a trainee. She was deciding of what to be: a tracker or a gaurdian. The little hatchling thought that being a gaurdian might be for she liked to fight and gaurding. But then again her queen, Gemini, would probably make her be a tracker for her small and agile body to hunt. If there was one thing that Darkshade hated, it was killing animals. As she was walking out of the her den to meet her mother and father, Dark prayed that she didn't have to become a tracker. Walking for a few paces, she saw her younger brother, Sora. "SORA! Go do what Mother told me to do! Then she snickered as Sora went ahead to do the task. He was so gullible, plus Dark liked to boss around him. Darkshade padded around the forest to find her mom and dad. "Mommy! Daddy! Can I go into the forest to do some random stuff? I'm really bored right now." Her mother Frostflare, the IceWing queen, eyed her suspiciously, "Did you finish the tasks I gave you?" Naughty as she ever was, the to-be trainee nodded furiously. If her parents figure out that she didn't.. well, Dark would give Sora quite a lesson later. "Alright then Dark. Be safe then. Don't be out too late." Darkshade leaped up with joy, "YAY!"

A black night fury with blazing blood-red stripes padded through the forest. Helios's face was impassive, and completely stone-cold, which was quite normal, since the hatchling never liked to show his emotions, and was quite cold-hearted to his other siblings. Not that he cared, of course.

There was a rustle, and Helios bared his elongated saber-like fangs, his red tinted with yellow eyes narrowing down. A small black hatchling bounced out. Helios lashed his tail. "Who're you?" he spat. "Go away."

The little hatchling was scampering around the forest and somehow landed herself into the bushes. "Oww.." she cried out, as she tried to get the thorn out of her paw. Not looking at where she was going, Darkshade suddenly crashed into another dragon and then looked up at the male dragon, "Er.. um.. Sorry for crashing into you. I'm Darkshade! Otherwise known as Dark! Or Dark, the bossy dragon." she smiled happily, "What about you? And, no, I won't go away. You can't boss me. I live around here. By the way, do you belong in any of the dragon tribes? I live in the NightWings. My father is a NightWing, but my mother is the IceWing Queen."

Helios looked taken back at the hatchling. She hadn't run away from him. That.. was a big shocker. She didn't even seem afraid of him. He felt a warm feeling in his chest, but pushed it out, and ended with glaring at her. "I'm a NightWing," he said simply. "I'm the oldest son of Astral, the Goddess of the Moon and Stars and Nimus, the God of Death." A spark of pride ignited in him. Even though he didn't show it, he loved his parents to death and were proud of their importance to the world.

He glanced at the other hatchling suspiciously. "And IceWing queen? There are two. Which one?" He scoffed a few seconds later. "Wait, why am I even talking to you?" His ear horn things flattened against his head and he took a defensive stance, his muscles tensing.

Darkshade raised an eyebrow. "This dragon seems...." Then she answered his question, "Frostflare, she said simply, "is my mother. She's really nice, but she tells me to do everything but then I send the tasks off to my brother Sora, who's an IceWing. You see, I can be very nice. Surprisngly, Sora is very gulliable." Then she grinned at the black with red stripes dragon, "Cool! You're parents are very.. high-ranked? Umm.. something like that. You still haven't told me your name yet.

Helios curled his lip. She couldn't be serious. "The name's Helios," he said gruffly. He slumped onto the ground, and made himself comfortable, then curled up into a ball. "Wake me up, later, k? I'm tired."

Darkshade nodded, "Alright Helios.. I think I might.. nevermind, dunno." As Helios went to snoozing mode (don't ask), the petite hatchling unsheathe her claws and rushed up the trees. Finding a sturdy branch that is comfortable enough, she lept across and then slept.. again.. for the second time in the afternoon.

~Few Hours Later~

Darkshade awoke with a start, still wondering where she was. Then she panicked from being so high up in the tree. Losing her balance, she shrieked and fell off and then landed on something hard with a thump. Nervously looking down, Dark yelped and got off of Helios. "I'm sorry! "I'm sorry Helios!"

Helios's eyes shot open when he felt something fall onto his back. He raised his head to shoot a murderous glare at Darkshade. "What the f*ck are you doing, dumb*ss!?" he spat. "Watch it!" He stood up, and shook himself, still glaring at the tinier black hatchling. "You're still here? What do you want?"

Darkshade was expecting Helios to burst out into anger. She already knew his personality by now. "Oops.." she thought. She really didn't mean to land on top of Helios. "Err.... You told me to wake you up later.. Expect I didn't mean to wake you up with me landing on top of you. That was by accident, so I'm really sorry."
