Post by Xangor Sun Nov 09, 2014 1:41 pm

Xangor moved silently in the forest, merging into the shadows. He was careful to avoid areas with light. He had sensed that something was changing. The sunlight was becoming weaker every day, and the world seemed to be enveloped by darkness. Xangor grinned satisfied. Now he was able to move even during the day. He knew that one of the gods he hated most, Astral, was weak. The fight against evil and corruption was destroying her. Xangor knew this had to happen sooner or later: the world couldn't be ruled by harmony and light, but only darkness and chaos. This was finally going to happen. Pyyria will be plunged soon into a eternal night. Without Astral, the sun will cease to exist, then Xangor would be free to commit all kind of crimes. However, Xangor was aware that the disappearance of the sun would cause a cataclysm, leading to the destruction of Xangor himself. Without light, there couldn't be darkness. Xangor didn't matter about that. He was only interested in satisfying his ego, and he was going to take the risk. He couldn't tolerate sunlight in any way. He wanted to destroy the light, specifically Astral. Xangor had learned the best way to weaken Astral was to not attack her, but to attack others. The countless crimes Xangor has done, the dozens of destroyed souls, mutilated bodies, minds corrupted and enslaved dragons, they certainly caused many problems to Astral. Xangor was always forced to hide his identity in order to go unnoticed, to avoid other Gods and LightWings. But now it was different. With the death of Astral, Xangor will no need to hide anymore. Paradox, the God of Insanity, was certainly going to launch the final blow. The light will be finally destroyed. That meant also the hateful LightWings were going to disappear.

Today Xangor was going to commit another one of his crimes. He had targeted Solstice, the goddess of ice. A creature so beautiful was irresistible. Xangor wanted to inflict her the most atrocious tortures. He wanted to abuse a goddess. He knew this was a very difficult mission, because Xangor was facing a goddess powerful like him. So he had planned a very elaborate plan. For now, He was interested to see Solstice in action, to discover all her weaknesses and perfectly study her combat style. Xangor eyes pointed towards the horizon, where emerged some volcanoes. His target was a fire dragon. Xangor wanted to use this dragon to attack Solstice. Xangor had spies in other tribes, dragons that gathered informations and pass them to the evil god. The Firewings were unaware of a spy within their ranks. The information passed from the spy were correct. Volcanis was making his usual patrol. Xangor had chosen Volcanis as a victim for one simple reason: Volcanis was considered a very powerful FireWing, but mentally instable and not intelligent. So Volcanis was vulnerable to a mental attack. Xangor's red eyes glowed from the forest, taking the attention of Volcanis. The FireWing didn't hesitate to fly towards the mysterious presence, abandoning his position. Xangor exactly wanted to lure Volcanis into a trap. Xangor has learnt from the spy that Volcanis was reckless and cocky. The ground seemed to tremble when Volcanis landed.
"Show yourself, intruder, or I'll burn you with the forest." The FireWing roared.
Xangor looked at him with his red eyes, not intimidated by the arrogance shown by Firewing. He wasted no time to launch a mental attack. He assailed the mind of Volcanis to subdue it. The FireWing struggled, growling in pain. Xangor was working on tremendous nightmares, mentally torturing Volcanis to weaken his mind. The FireWing eventually gave up, unable to contrast the power of a God. Volcanis calmed down, powerless. He was completely under the control of Xangor. The dark dragon took the opportunity to explore the mind of the fire dragon. He was happy to know that this dragon had gone through several traumas. Among the bad experiences, there was also the failure of a relationship with Astral. This was a nice coincidence. Xangor wondered how Astral would react if she would perceive that her old love interest is now at the mercy of the evil dragon. It was also another nice coincidence that Volcanis and Solstice actually hated ech other. That was perfect Xangor has reached his goal. He had a new slave.

Solstice relaxed peacefully in her den, watching her hatchlings move around as they slept. She sighed when the thought of Xangor came to her mind. He was the dragon she had just so recently helped. She healed his injuries from that strange fire dragon that for some reason couldn't injure her. She wondered what he was up to now. Perhaps he was one of those dragons she would never see again. However, that was highly unlikely, especially due to the fact that he was a fellow semi-god and dragons of that rank tend to cross paths numerous times. She rolled onto her back and moved her wings around in a bored fashion. What was she supposed to do now?
