War Against the Night Empty War Against the Night

Post by Guest Wed Jun 25, 2014 5:38 pm

After a while of official meetings amongst the NightWings, a heated argument with her older cousin, Gemini, and a been more debates within her kingdom, Nightflare thought she deserved some alone time. After all, she needed to go for a nice hunt, cool down some steam after arguing with Gemini. The NightWing queen could be very hard to persuade sometimes, and this time had been one of those times. With a combination of sweet talk, true facts, and her own persuasive nature, she had wanted to talk Gemini into making her heir to the throne. It had ended in a heated verbal debate and then both of them had stormed off, angry at each other for having such annoying personalities.

As she flew around, Nightflare finally stopped near an area of dead bushes surrounded in dark, black rock. Absolutely pissed with the fact Gemini had learned to simply say no to anything Nightflare said, no matter how persuasive it was, the dragoness angrily evaporated the rocks with her powerful purple fire, making them explode into tiny chunks. Then she tore at them with her claws, reducing them to nothing but strands of dust particles. Having let off steam, the dragoness roared at the sky, causing a multitude of birds to fly off in a frenzied panic.

Snarling, still angry from her debate, she slashed at the ground, roaring with frustration. Once she was finally done, she blasted a circle of purple fire at the ground and lied down in it, placing her head angrily on her paws, her eyes narrowed. Indeed, she had done a good job at hiding that rage until she was far away from the NightWing kingdom. As she stared out the ground, she got an idea, and started whispering in a strange language. It sounded a bit like this: de bekifi di uoinota, confn rocen lpuul loex. lleisgar sva sia meage....

Suddenly, the earth began to shake violently, and forth from the depths of hell came the gruesome stack of bones, that gradually formed into a body. Several more arose from the cradle of earth in which had held them for many years. Soon there was at least three skeletons of dragons, and one skeleton of a reptilian, standing in front of her. Snarling, she ordered them in her powerful accent.

"Go forth, my minions! Bring me back any dragon or intruder foolish enough to wander into my lands! Bring them back alive, so that I can teach them a personal lesson! Only fools will intrude my territory when I'm done with them. Now go!" and with that, the skeletons trotted off, not even bothering to sneak or tread carefully.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Volcanis Thu Jun 26, 2014 4:52 am

Volcanis was exploring the territories nearby the NightWing's kingdom. The fire dragon was very curious about that tribe. In his opinion the NightWings had the most beatiful and intriguing females around Pyyria. They were cunning, strong-headed, smart, very hard to intimidate. A sudden roar took Volcanis' attention. It was so high that the birds flew off from the forest. The firedragon looked down and his eyes were immediately captured by the very beatiful black dragon below him. He was surprised to see how she has easily destroyed the rocks. The female looked to be strong and powerful. The fire dragon landed on the top of a rock, very curious to admire that NightWing. For now he kept a safe distance from her. Volcanis looked at her almost amazed. At first impression she looked to be very similar to Gemini and Twilight. Perhaps she was a cousin or a distant parent. He didn't show any aggressive behaviour, but he looked with interest at the summoned skeletons. So the NightWing was a necromancer. Not bad. She had nice powers. It would be very dangerous to fight against her. Volcanis liked challenges.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Guest Thu Jun 26, 2014 6:34 am

Unaware that Volcanis was watching, or simply not caring, the black dragoness lied down with her head in her forepaws once again, a look that was a bitt different from when she had raged the first time. There was a look of tranquility in her eyes now as she watched the skeletons saunter off. They weren't really good for anything except fighting, since the creatures were mindless and only did what she told them to. They were also the best guards. Because she would stop at nothing to become queen, Nightflare had already decided to replace the palace guards with creatures that held no secrets and could not betray her, much unlike the living, who were prone to lies. Not that lies, if used for a good cause, were bad. Often times Nightflare would lie on several occasions to make her look good in front of a crowd.

As the undead trotted away, the wind suddenly changed, bringing her the scent of Volcanis, and she lifted her head in his direction, her eyes blazing like a fell inferno. So someone had come into her territory. Good. That meant that she wouldn't have to waste all her day being angry at her sister. She could actually have a challenge. Besides, the queen-to-be was in the mood for a challenge, and an arrogant FireWing most certainly seemed like a challenge to her. She snorted, averting her glaze from the FireWing and traveling back to the skeletons, who had also stopped dead in their tracks. Making an ever silent head gesture toward Volcanis, the skeletons took off, charging up to where Volcanis was.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Volcanis amber eyes brightened at the idea of a fight. He growled before to stand up, showing no fear of the undead. There was nothing that could scare Volcanis, besides the water. He started to walk towards the female NightWing with confidence, don't caring so much about the undead creatures. That kind of enemies was very easy to beat. Skeletons didn't have a mind and their body was very friable. Their movements were so predictable and slow. He dodged the first dragon and with a single smack of his tail he shattered the creature in hundreds of pieces. He turned towards another skeleton dragon. This time he breathed an explosive fireball: the second skeleton met an horrible fate compared to the first one. There was nothing left of the creature, besides dust. Volcanis growled annoyed. The skeletons were simply a mere incovenience and Volcanis wanted to focus his attentions on the NightWing. He used his horns to charge with immense force the last skeleton dragon. The third one lost all its pieces and fell down with a thud. Volcanis walked over the defeated skeleton with such arrogance and pride, spreading his wings to entirely show his mighty and handsome body. NightFlare could read in Volcanis eyes his thirst of power, a very strong fire dragon that would even challenge ShadowFire for the throne. It was in truth his dream to take control over the FireWings. Twilight has unfortunately discovered his plan reading his mind. So the King was in alert about a possible coup d'etat now. Volcanis was powerful enough to represent a rising threat for ShadowFire. The fire guardian realized there was still a reptilian left. With a single strike of his fire claws he wiped away the little creature. The last skeleton was gone and only the NightWing was left. He growled amused while approaching NightFlare. "Ops, I'm sorry for your undead army." He sarcastically commented, very satisfied to have easily beaten her minions. "That's all you can do, NightWing?" He provoked her. "Or What should I call you, Mrs...?" He asked, very curious to know the name of the very attractive female. His voice sounded to be rude, but his words were a bit gallant. The fire dragon didn't want to appear aggressive. He was there to simply meet and impress the black dragon. Volcanis was also very curious to challenge her in a fight. Now that her minions were gone, they could both focus on each other.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Nightflare watched the dragon approach her with a blank face, and found his confidence, although she didn't show it, quite amusing. But she kept this neatly concealed, her face showing nothing but tranquility and emotionless daze, while only a minute ago she had been in a rage, throwing and crushing rocks about. When the dragon defeated her minions fairly easily, she thought with a frown that, with the way the FireWing sauntered up to her, his wings spread in arrogance, that the dragons who fought her skeletons often acted in such a manner, not even suspecting that the creatures without conscious could fight back. Not that they were very good at it. It was simply a distraction. Nothing major. Like Nightflare expected the arrogant dragon to understand black magic.

When the dragon walked up to her and asked her name, Nightflare smiled slyly and said, "Nightflare," she said simply, a sly look on her face, "And you probably should do more research on necromancy." Before Volcanis could react, the bones from the dragon he smashed came back together, the bone dragon tackling Volcanis with surprising strength. The other dragon who had been smacked by Volcanis's horns also formed once again, growling a strange, rattling growl at the opposing FireWing, before it charged forward also. The dragon who had been blasted to ashes remained ashes, however, and NIghtflare frowned over at it. Oh well. One out of four minions down. The reptilian skeleton, who had been hidden until then, came out of the shadows with a spear and attempted to slay Volcanis.

"NightFlare. A very beatiful name." He commented eyeing with more interest the female NightWing. Volcanis looked at her a bit perplexed when she warned him about necromancy. From her sly smile he could understand the female was too much confident of herself. He didn't notice at first the skeleton taking form under his legs. It was too late when the skeleton grabbed him. Volcanis snarled irritated, glancing at the NightWing. "Let me to say your minions are so fu***** annoying." He fiercely shook his body to free himself, shattering in pieces the skeleton dragon for a second time. Then Volcanis jumped just in time to avoid the other two dragons charging at him. With a strong flap of his wings he flew high in the air. "That's enough." He roared before to look down and breath a second explosive fireball to the ground. This time the detonation reduced to ashes the three dragons. The skeletons shouldn't come back from defeat now.

Volcanis landed down again with a swift movement. This time he was even more closer to the NightWing. Enough to attack her or be vulnerable to an attack. "My name is Volcanis, FireWing's Guardian." He presented himself with a very proud voice, showing again his beatiful body to impress the other female. He started to like a lot NightFlare. "You look to be powerful. Of course not enough like me." He chuckled to immediately state who was the strongest between the two. This would probably result in another fight. He looked in her purple eyes, feeling to be attracted by her. He didn't know if it was a sort of charm from NightFlare. However being charmed was one of his weaknesses, and NightFlare could easily take advantage of that. Volcanis was very impulsive, not a smart dragon. A female could easily play with him once the FireWing was infatuated. However Volcanis was still in alert, trying to not fall to her charm. He felt a bit stupid to have approached NightFlare. She was more malicious and evil compared to other NightWings.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Guest Thu Jun 26, 2014 4:26 pm

"Careful with that boastful tongue of yours, FireWing," said Nightflare, rising to her full height as she curled her tail around her paws, sitting, "Too much arrogance and you could easily be overpowered by even the most novice of trainees. And might I remind you that you are currently standing on NightWing territory? I'm sure your kind.... Shadowfire, is it? Would be quite unhappy to discover one of his guardians has crossed the boundary line of our territories...." it was a cleaver word play she had used. With her own naturally persuasive tone, she had combined black mail with straight down mockery. But yet she also had combined facts, showing that dragoness had a cunning and charming mind. Nightflare, however, was beyond compliments and praise. It got her nowhere other then bootlicking, and she did not want to charm her way into the royal court as a queen. She would get far too much disrespect that way.

As she spoke to Volcanis in her charming accent, she waved her tail back and forth, which would look harmless to anyone other then Gemini, who knew fine well of Nightflare's black magic. Normally, she'd need to speak words for her spell, but right now she was simply staring into Volcanis' mind. She could tell that he was interested in her, and another..... a SkyWing, named Astral. A dragon who was a member of the TDL. In her mind, she snorted, remembering when Twilight had first launched herself into the room with fireworks all over the place and declared that she would start a group. If Gemini hadn't been in the room at the time, Nightflare might have slapped her younger cousin upside the head. She smirked, noting that this attraction could be used as the FireWing's downfall. So as she waited for a reply from Volcanis, she mentally thought of someway to use this to her advantage.

Another thing she did as she waited was waved her paw a little, whispering words so softly the FireWing could barely hear them. Normally, this would look like a harmless gesture, and to make the FireWing believe so she picked her paw up and licked it, like a wounded or bored dragon would. Little did he know Nightflare had summoned a Sea Demon to keep a close eye on the FireWing. For while she had read his mind, she had detected that he had a weakness against water, and she could also use this to her advantage. As the dragon spoke, water started bubbling out of the ground behind him, and he was completely unaware of it.

Volcanis laughed at her words and he tried to tower over the NightWings with his muscular body. She was big, that's true, but the fire dragon was majestic compared to her. "Arrogance? I'm truly that powerful." He glorified himself with conviction. Volcanis was that kind of very self-confident dragon that didn't admit defeat and he tended to underestimate his opponents. Anyway NightFlare, besides her necromancy abilities, didn't seem to be a good fighter. He chuckled at her words. "Our tribes are allied. So I'm authorized to enter your borders." The fire dragon smirked. "You should be more respectful... Towards an ally." He whispered in her ear before to raise his right paw. Volcanis seemed he was going to attack, but he instead placed his paw on her neck. Then he gently caressed it with his claws, showing to have a genuine interest towards the female. Her charming accent has definitely tricked Volcanis. He was totally focused on the NightWing. The fire dragon briefly looked at her tail, wondering the meaning of that movement. Perhaps was she enjoying the fire dragon's presence? Volcanis noticed she was somewhat bored or apparently subdued to him. Volcanis grinned, realizing that he has easily impressed NightFlare. However he noticed her smirking and a doubt assailed his mind. There was something wrong in her behaviour, but it was very hard to figure out. He was caressing her neck, still infatuated by her charm, before to hear the NightWing whispering incomprehensible words. It looked to be another harmless gesture, but Volcanis was having more suspects now. Perhaps it was too late. He didn't notice the sea demon forming behind him.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Guest Thu Jun 26, 2014 5:41 pm

"You are quite right, Volcanis, was it?" The dragoness continued, a smile forming on her lips, and her eyes half closed in an expression of faked submission. She could definitely tell that the dragon thought he was subduing her, and it would be best to make him think like that for the meantime. Honestly, Nightflare thought this alliance was stupid. Why ally herself with the FireWings? They were arrogant and ignorant, and the only sensible dragons among them were Shadowfire, who she only said so because he was a King, and therefore deserved her respect. Again she continued to speak to Volcanis, "We may be allied, but for someone like yourself to saunter in here? I'm not sure if that is your own ignorance speaking, or you FireWings flaunting your privileges. Ally or not, it gives you no special right to cruise into our territory. You sure like to make yourselves known....." again, she smirked at Volcanis, her claws sheathed. Why? For she could unsheathe them at a moment's notice, and she was not exactly in any trouble right now. With her looks and her tongue, she had managed to make a power-hungry, arrogant FireWing subdued from battle for the moment. Quite an accomplishment, if she could say so herself. Then again, she had done better. She had once, herself alone, almost convinced Gemini to make her lieutenant. The queen was still thinking on it, as far as the NightWing was concerned, but Gemini knew as well as anyone that, while Nightflare may be a devious, evil, ambitious matriarchy, she was very specialized in the arts of ruling a kingdom, and her cousin couldn't deny that fact.

As they spoke, Nightflare's posture relaxing, the water began to swish and sway, making gurgling sounds as it formed from the muddy earth. Slowly it formed the head of a shark, the water swirling to make the grey skin of a shark. A human body with fins and blue-green scales also formed from the water, and the water also thickened and colored to form a trident. The creature also grew webbed feet, like a frog's. It was truly hideous, and an abomination to nature. It swished its hand somewhat, making muddy, black water swirl out of the earth, and come into its hand, as it approached Volcanis from behind. Unlike the skeletons, this was a demon, summoned from another realm. It had a conscious, and could devise a plan, like any living creature, but unlike other creatures, that could betray, this creature was devoted only to Nightflare.

Guafi was wondering around, he had no idea where he was and what tribe's territory he had stumbled upon, "Where the heck am I? If Only those darn deer didn't stray so far off, I wouldn't be looking for them..I'm still hungry too, And I've lost my stash of pre-" He was cut off as the tumbled down a steep cliff landing on his neck, "Ow....ow ow ow ow ow! What the heck! I was clearly out of the way of that cliff! Sheesh!" He said as slightly drooled some magma. He then stared at it, "Annnnnnd now I start drooling. Just great." He pouted as he then caught sight of another FireWing and A NightWing, he crouched down and tried to eavesdrop on their conversation.

"A NightWing? Oh...don't tell me I'm in the NightWing Tribe's little playground am I? Some of them are total sadists! Man, they give me the creeps." Guafi didn't notice the demons and other creatures around them, hoping they haven't noticed him yet. His Body was burning at a abnormal temperature due to his second layer of skin made of magma, that could be clearly spotted through the cracks of his pelt. Guafi's stomach then growled, "Ugh," He squinted at the two, "You Only Live Once!.." He whispered as he leaped into their sight as boldly asked something clearly off topic, "Have any of you two seen a large herd of deer?" He said trying not to examine them both.

Volcanis was going to reply at her words, still unaware of the water demon behind him. NightFlare was successfully reaching her goal and nothing could save Volcanis from a certain defeat. The fire dragon was sure to have subdued the NightWing and to have definitely won her. He closely approached his snout to hers like he was going to lick her, but a voice caught his attention. The FireWing immediately woke up from the enchantment and looked towards the other fire dragon. "Guafi?!" He asked surprised to see him. The FireWing tracker was looking for preys as usual. Volcanis could finally notice the awful sea monster behind him. It was a matter of seconds before the shark could deadly hit him. The fire guardian bravely dodged the demon with a jump and took a defensive stand. He gave a grateful look at Guafi. "You don't know, but you have saved me" He briefly thanked him. Volcanis looked with anger at NightFlare and roared. "YOU HAVE TRICKED ME! YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!" The fire dragon was in a furious state. His eyes were two burning flames and nothing could stop Volcanis now. He snarled before to open his jaws, preparing to breath a very powerful torrent of fire. Volcanis wasn't enraged because of the trick, but because he really liked NightFlare. It was the main reason behind his sudden aggressive behaviour. His pride has been badly hurt. She has used his genuine crush towards NightFlare to launch a surprise attack. That was a ignoble gesture, despite Volcanis was aware that his foolishness has leaded him to trust her. The fire dragon of course had no clue that NightFlare was so malicious. It didn't matter. He was going to struggle with her until he was sure to have given her a lesson.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Guest Thu Jun 26, 2014 6:41 pm

The demon hissed when it missed slaying Volcanis, turning to glare over at him. Nightflare herself simply chuckled at Volcanis's ignorance. This was the way all NightWings should be. Powerful, able to destroy any foolish dragon arrogant enough to walk into their lands. Guafi appearing was but a minor inconvenience. She could still easily slay Volcanis. But he had simply not shown enough power and strength yet for her to bother with herself fighting yet. What the Fire dragon might consider unfair, the NightWing believed that it was just another means to defeat the enemy at any given moment. And at that moment, Volcanis was the enemy. Rising to her feet, Nightflare dodged to the side with powerful speed, eyeing Volcanis. The fire had just singed her tail since she had been sitting down, but it didn't bother her that much. Smirking, Nightflare decided that she wanted some fun, and, swishing her tail, signaled the strange sea creature to stop. It let out a hiss of disobedience, but otherwise followed Nightflare's order, planting the spear end of the trident into the ground, and lowering itself to one knee, lowing his head so it would not stare at any of the dragons, almost as if it were bowing to her. Then, she flicked her paw again, whispering words of enchantment, and suddenly several more bone skeletons popped out of the ground, followed by two zombies and a ground demon. The ground demon would need time to form, but Nightflare could never be too cautious with FireWings around. The two zombie dragons snarled. One had polished brown skin, indicating it had formally been an EarthWing, and the other had pure black scales, meaning it had been a NightWing. They were dead, and Nightflare had not given them permission to regain their powers, so they still posed no extreme threat to the two FireWings. Then, just to make sure they couldn't escape, Nightflare said in a chuckling voice, "Yol kenlok, meyz veyl, aal daar yol kos gelahaan voth suleykie do lom!" and suddenly a ring of purple fire, enchanted with a chilling cold, surrounded them in an unavoidable circle. No one could escape.

"I must admit, you were lucky," Nightflare said, standing with a smirk on her face as she stared at the two FireWings, "To have another FireWing friend of yours trek in at the last minute. But I'm afraid you're both trespassing now, and I honestly could go with a bit of fun." she chuckled to herself, eyeing the two dragons curiously for their response.

Gemini had sensed this commotion, and sighed. Of course, it was Nightflare who had begun fighting Volcanis, out of all people. She didn't blame Guafi for accidentally stepping into the middle of a brawl, and it wasn't unusual to chase off invaders, but she really didn't have to go full force. Deciding to check it out, she told a guard to tell Twilight she was going out, and then flew out of the Kingdom. Heading in the direction the fight was coming from, she spotted a large ring of purple flames, with Guafi, Volcanis and Nightflare and a few skeletons and a ground demon. She stopped outside of the fire, and then walked in. Emerging from the other side, no harm done to her, she narrowed her eyes. "What is the meaning of this?" she snarled. "Nightflare, why do you seem like you want to kill him? There's really no need. And Volcanis," she turned her gaze to the FireWing. "No trespassing on our territory without permission from me or Shadowfire," she stated. "I know you're allies, but trespassing is still a rule for us NightWings." She glared at both of them. "Stop this fight right now. It's pointless." With a snap of her fingers, she made the skeletons go back to whence they came from, and sent the demon back to its realms. "And black magic, Nightflare? You should know better."

// I have assumed Volcanis has a permission from Shadowfire because this roleplay is “Open to all”. Or else Volcanis won't trespass the NightWing's territory. I think the rule about territories should be valid only for Tribe RPG to avoid misunderstandings. //

Volcanis didn't seem to listen what NightFlare was saying. He was enraged, so he has totally lost his mind. The NightWing was in serious danger because the fire dragon can be very powerful in his furious state. His pride was hurt and he was determined to annihilate his opponent before to become quiet again. The fire dragon was there to peacefully visit the NightWings territories with the permission of ShadowFire. He has instead met a very arrogant female that has used his crush towards her a few minutes ago. Volcanis didn't care about the new summoned skeletons and neither the circle of purple fire around him. His target was NightFlare and he launched himself against her. His claws and fangs were going to fiercely strike her body. Volcanis suddenly stopped when he heard Gemini's words. The NightWing queen, due to her very convincing words, was probably the only one – including the Gods - able to calm down the fire dragon with the simple power of the speech. Also ShadowFire, without using violence, was able to efficiently mitigate Volcanis brutal instincts. Volcanis eventually went quiet before to look at Gemini with an apologetic look. “ShadowFire has authorized me to visit your territories.” He explained at the Queen.  “I'm sorry if I have caused troubles. I really didn't want.” He snarled to remark his argument, giving NightFlare a hateful look. Volcanis was in a bad humour due to the recent events, but the presence of Gemini was a enough reason to stay calm and don't do other foolish actions. He knew NightFlare was only defending her territory afterall, despite her reaction looked to be exaggerrated towards an ally. Volcanis has already understood the black and purple dragon had a evil nature, so Gemini probably didn't like her so much. However the NightWings were lucky to have a expert of necromancy.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Guafi had absolutely no idea what was going on, he just happened to stumble into this big mess, Volcanis, a acquaintance of his, and a NightWing, who was all about it, were about to settle things that would leave some scars, suddenly Gemini approached, and scolded Volcanis and the NightWing. Guafi sighed in disappointment and cocked a brow at Volcanis, "How exactly did you get in this mess in the first place? Wait, why am I still here?" Guafi completely ignored Gemini's presence and looked back at the NightWing, "And you, you have some nerve to pick a fight with one of my Tribe's guardians. Brave Indeed!" He had a sarcastic tone but a serious look in his eyes. He then looked at Gemini, then looked back at the two, then back at Gemini. "Uh, Gemini, Have you by any chance have seen a large herd of deer heading this direction?" He pointed.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Guest Sat Jun 28, 2014 9:51 am

Why must Gemini always ruin my fun? Wondered Nightflare with disdain as she watched her cousin send the skeletons and zombies back. The Earth demon was also sent back, which made Nightflare's frown turn to a smirk. Why? Because you couldn't send someone else's demon back without using lots of power. Because Nightflare knew Gemini couldn't do the same thing twice, she flicked her head in the direction of the Sea Demon, which in response rose to full height, but it twirled its hand in a odd gesture, causing the trident to evaporate into water and go back into its body. Basically, Nightflare had told the creature to stand off until said otherwise, by her, and only her. She then sat down and casually licked a paw, as if she were totally not dazed by the fact her cousin had shown up to ruin everything. Of course Nightflare hadn't killed Volcanis. She'd get in far too much trouble for that. No, she had simply planned to enjoy herself for a little bit. Terrible coincidence that Gemini had shown up right then and there, when things had just been getting interesting. Oh well, she though with a sigh and a chuckle, lowering her paw and staring evenly, with a slight smile and her eyes half closed, over at her cousin. When Gemini said "you should know better" it just made Nightflare want to laugh. Honestly, if that was what her cousin expected of her after all these years, then her cousin really didn't know anything about her. The earth rattled a bit from the aftershock of so many undead popping up, and after it was finished, the dragoness spoke, her voice just as sly as when Volcanis had first met her.

"Why cousin, can't I have my fun?" she said, voicing her own thoughts with a chuckle to herself, "You are far too tense, even for a queen. And honestly, I wasn't trying to kill him. Now what kind of heir would I be If I broke the truce by killing a member of our alliance, no matter how indulgent he may be." It wasn't offensive at all to call herself an heir. After all, Nightflare was about third in line for the throne, the first being Gemini's hatchlings, and Twilight being second. There was always deputy, who could become the leader, but who was to say Nightflare wouldn't earn that rank to? Though if she was to do it, she'd have to do it quickly, before her cousin starts to suspect too much.

Gemini just sighed as she glared at her cousin. "Sure ..." she muttered, then turned to Volcanis, eyeing him warily. "Anyway, Volcanis. I know Shadowfire gave you permission, but what is your reason to venture into NightWing territory? Have you come to deliver a message? Or explore our territory?" Her gold and silver eyes glittered and narrowed. "Tell me the truth. I could always read your mind to see if you're lying or not."

She turned to the demon that was next to Nightflare. "Return from whence you came from, demon," she said. "Return to the world where my father rules." The half-demon dragon stared hardly at the Sea demon. "Or I'll make Krashath take you back."

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Volcanis Mon Jun 30, 2014 3:44 pm

Volcanis froze after hearing Gemini's question. There was a specific reason because he was exploring the NightWings territories. He was curious to personally admire the beatiful females in her territories and hopefully to make a good impression. However he was so unlucky to have met the only evil female between the NightWings: NightFlare. The fire dragon gave a brief look at the necromancer. She was a dangerous opponent because of her abilities to resurrect dead things. Her power was extremely powerful. Volcanis looked back at Gemini. He knew he couldn't lie because she was able to read minds. So he needed to tell the truth, despite he was a bit ashamed to reveal such a private thing. Anyway Volcanis wasn't the kind of dragon that would lie. He was always sincere. He briefly looked on the ground, snarling nervously. It was so hard to tell what he was thinking. Too much emotions were struggling inside him and he felt his heart was going to explode. A very hard task to control all these feelings together. He took courage and stared in Gemini's eyes without showing any kind of fear or embarassment. "The truth? I was in exploration because I think your tribe has some the most beatiful and intriguing females around to admire." He sincerely spoke. There was a indirect referement to Twilight, NightFlare and Moonshade. His eyes were suddenly caught by majestic Gemini's appearance. She was a mighty dragon and strangely beatiful in her fearsome aspect. Volcanis could easily lose his mind in Gemini's eyes, the mirror of a powerful and mysterious energy hidden in her soul. The fire dragon was getting infatuated. He knew this interest was probably going to already die on the moment. She was a Queen while he was a simple FireWing's Guardian. He wished to be at her level and be worthy of such a powerful NightWing. Volcanis remembered to have also offended her previously, in a moment of rage, calling her "silly". He sighed before to finally revealing his interest towards the Queen. It was pointless to hide his thoughts. "You're included." He added with a spontaneous and genuine voice. His voice was a whisper to be sure only Gemini could listen him. So it was going to be their secret. Then he spoke again with a normal voice. "That's all." He went quiet, wondering what would be the Queen's reaction now.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by DarkSun Thu Jul 03, 2014 9:06 am

DarkSun was taking a rest in his cave, thinking about the recent events. Gemini and NightFlare have argued again. Their struggles were pretty common. The bronze dragon was aware that NightFlare was a devious dragon, so he couldn't trust her at all. She has left the reunion angered and DarkSun wondered what she was doing now. NightFlare was particulary dangerous when she was in a bad mood. DarkSun's attention was taken by the echo of a roar coming from NightFlare's territories. it was a clear sign that she was enraged. The bronze dragon decided to stand up and fly off, heading towards her territories. He was going to personally check if everything was fine. DarkSun had a presentiment that something bad would have happened. He was worried that NightFlare would have caused other troubles with her necromancy's abilities, like using undead dragons to attack strangers. It meant there could be wounded dragons that DarkSun had to heal.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

When Gemini mentioned her father, Nightflare frowned a bit in response, but otherwise kept a straight face as Gemini then turned to face Volcanis and Guafi. She could also hear the splashing of water hitting the ground as the water demon evaporated, signaling the creature did not want to enrage its overlord, or get in trouble with it. Believe her, the wrath of Krashath was not something you wanted. Night had certainly learned that the hard way. And it angered her too, but she didn't show it, that Gem could so easily persuade other dragons using hard facts. But then again, when a dragon was faced with the truth it was much easier to comprehend.

As for her grandfather, well, he was the lord of the undead, and when he had died had gone to the underworld to take control as their overlord. Unlike with most people, Night had actually liked her grandfather, a pleasure not very many could earn. But when he had died, and become one with the dead, Night no longer saw him as a living being. He was dead, after all.

But she could control the dead.

As the others discussed things, Nightflare stared ahead with a blank look, her eyes narrowed slightly. Things in the tribe were not doing well in her favor. The Healer, DarkSun, knew she was up to something, so did Gemini, but neither of them could possibly tell what it was yet, and they, even though they didn't want to admit it, were slightly scared to confront her directly. Not because she could beat them, but because, despite her harsh, unloving nature, Night was a loyal member of the tribe, and most certainly others would rise to her defense. She was also quite high in the ranks.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Another dragon suddenly appeared from the darkness. It was Shadowis, DarkSun's brother. The majestic and handsome black dragon has intently listened the conversation, hiding in the shadows.. He was amused to hear Volcanis words and he maliciously laughed. "So, you'd like to admire our NightWing females..." He warned the fire dragon "I'm sorry, but the females are all mine..." He chuckled giving NightFlare a very interested look. He was well-known to bother females and he has obtained the reputation of perverse mind. Without waiting any confirmation, Shadowis nuzzled his snout against hers, don't caring how the others would react. Between all the NightWings, the necromancer was certainly the most interesting target. She was powerful and devious like him. They had a lot of things in common. Shadowis shared the same thirst of power. However he had a different goal. He wasn't interested to merely become the new King, but he wished to create a tribe where chaos and freedom were the main rules. In other words, anarchy. Gemini was a serious problem with her rigid and violent methods. The Queen must be neutralized in order to accomplish his crazy plans. Perhaps NightFlare would help him.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Nightflare was no less a fool to know that Shadowis wanted something. She had known long ago that the arrogant creature wanted to take control of the NightWings and cause havoc to spread through all the tribes. They indeed wanted to same thing, or something very similar. Shadowis wanted havoc, to be the dictator of the tribes, while Night wanted to break the alliances between the SkyWings, FireWings, and NightWings once and for all, crushing them and showing them that it was the NightWings that were truly superior. The NightWings that could destroy all and everything if they so richly wished it be. But Night was not at all interested in the male NightWing, not by the least bit. Her mind was focused on DarkSun. He may not know it, but she considered him an honorable opponent to do combat with, second to Gemini, who she only would have fought if absolutely nessicery. Gemini was not an opponent she could easily pin like a pathetic FireWing such as Volcanis. Gemini was a real problem. But sooner or later the queen would need to step down from the throne as the NightWing queen, and Night was well aware of that.

She smirked at Shadowis and devised a plan. Her skills far outmatched his sorcery. She could easily take control of his mind with a bit of persuasive. So she decided to stand up and use him as an excuse to leave the group, for even though no other dragon in this world was skilled enough to see her use her magic, Gemini was, and Gemini would instantly have her fears proven true if she witnessed it. Instead, she yawned and leaned on Shadowis, her alluring purple eyes glowing maleficently. "Well, I really must be going. It is quite late," she licked Shadowis on the cheek and began to walk away. If any male could resist that, they were homosexual. Night was smart enough to know a female-hungry male like Shadowis would most certainly follow her after she did that. And then the real magic could begin.

Shadowis wasn't expecting a lick from NightFlare. He was indeed surprised by her behaviour. Other females would usually slap him. Shadowis couldn't resist at the lick and he happily walked alongside of her. "Won't you mind if I accompany you.?" He asked with a wink. Perhaps he has finally got his chance to date a female NightWing. Shadowis didn't truly want a mate relationship with NightFlare. He was more interested to simply share some fun with her and maybe abandon her for another female when he was satisfied. However Shadowis had some suspects about NightFlare. DarkSun has told him hundreds of times to avoid the necromancer. She was somewhat evil, following DarkSun's opinion. Shadowis usually didn't listen his brother, but he couldn't believe what was happening. Was it a dream or what? NightFlare, one of the most beatiful and powerful NightWing in the tribe, was flirting with him. That would have a sense. Shadowis was a expert sorcerer, a master of black and chaos magic. Females should love him for his awesome powers. DarkSun's influence was luckily helping Shadowis to be cautious with her. Perhaps there was a trick behind NightFlare's behaviour. Anyway Shadowis wanted to go far and understand what NightFlare was planning. Was she truly interested to him? Once the two were totally alone, far away from the group, he took his chance to court her. "It seems you're finally considering me." He told her with a smirk, but it was indeed a question. Shadowis had his suspects due to DarkSun's words, though he was infatuated by NightFlare. He licked first her cheek, than her nose, wondering if she was really returning the crush. Shadowis wasn't aware at all about her persuasive methods, but he needed to receive more convincing signs. He was hoping for a "dragon kiss" from her, a deep and convinced one. You could read it in his eyes. It would be enough to totally convince Shadowis about her intentions and forget about DarkSun's warnings.

War Against the Night Empty Re: War Against the Night

Post by Guest Sat Jul 26, 2014 3:32 pm

The concept of DarkSun rang through her mind as well. She had to admit, the healer was skilled in mind controlling magicks, which she ruefully did admit, but only to herself. It was a well known fact that NightFlare, Gemini, DarkSun, and Shadowis were a few of the most powerful sorcerers in the tribe, which was quite a compliment considering many of the NightWings appeared to be skilled in magic. In reality Nightflare was void of compassion toward Shadowis, and would remember to set some kind of curse on him as soon as she had him under her spell. All she really had to do was make Shadowis look in her eyes and she'd already have him under her control. It was easy, really. Nonetheless, Shadowis wasn't as ignorant as Volcanis was, and he could realize this was a trap at a moment's notice. Yes, he was nowhere near as aware as DarkSun, one of the reasons Night hadn't picked the healer, but Shadowis was still skilled in magic, no matter how ignorant or stupid he was, and even though Nightflare could beat him, she presumed that him attacking her would result in the dragons from the clearing coming. DarkSun would more then likely take that as his chance to point out all the things Night had been doing and call her a traitor. And because Night wasn't on very good terms with her cousins for obvious reasons, there would be punishments.

She did not speak until they were far enough away, giving her, to a female craving dragon, a hard to get aura. Once they were far away, she turned around and stared with her half closed eyes over at Shadowis, her magic already working through her body. It was not so much her looks but a special enchantment even Gemini couldn't detect that made her appear so alluring in the eyes of a male, be it IceWing, FireWing, or NightWing. Then she spoke, "I admire your skill in magic. That is why I have brought you here....." she said mysteriously, and looked straight into his eyes. It was like staring into the bowls of heaven themselves when you stared into those beautiful, magnificent, gorgeous purple eyes of hers. As they stared at each other, she already was working her mind controlling magic.
