SeaWing Announcements (RP - Open to all )

It was only a few hours after Shiningwater's sister, Dusk, barely managed to escape prosecution by the SeaWings. He had called the SeaWings and all from other tribes who would come to a special meeting, as Korarmyr had some announcements to make. He had set up a portal by the edge of the Crystal Sea where any visitors could come to see the announcements. Korramyr sat in his throne in, of course, the throne hall, a long table set out before him where several SeaWings sat towards the front of the table, namely Atlantis and Shiningwater, and possibly Norketh nearby if he decided to show up, with visitors from other tribes further down on the table. "Everyone's here," he murmured to himself, looking around one final time, gulping as he prepared himself to speak. The announcements he had to make were of major importance, and he needed to not screw up.

(( By the way, Shine, if you want to you can sit up beside Korramyr. Not sure if she's the sort of girl who would want to do that, so there's an empty throne beside Korramyr if you want to come up. ))

Shine had taken her seat next to Korramyr, though it was a tad strange to her to stand in front of so many dragons. Well, more like sit; but still. You get the point. She glanced over at Korramyr as he began to speak, as curious as to what his announcement was as she assumed the large mass of gathered dragons was.

Atlantis sat down on his settle, curiously looking at the other guests around. There were all the SeaWings reunited together and even special visitors from other tribes. Atlas wanted to make a lot of friends, but he strangely remained silent. He was impatiently waiting the King's speech. The seadragon already knew which kind of announcement Korramyr was going to do. It was something they have talked privately and the seadragon was very happy about it. Atlas life was going to definitively change.

From atop one of the palace's stone perches sat Crystallis, who glanced over the scene with curiosity and and the pleasure of a good view. Even though the malevolent dragoness, Dusk, may have escaped, she was glad that nobody else got hurt in the scuffle... and that Crystal herself didn't have to get up-close and dirty with anyone. However, she couldn't help but wonder what happened to the hostile seadragon as well; he simply disappeared without a word or action.

While she waited for the King to state his announcements, the shape-shifter began to watch the crowd. Most of them appeared to be SeaWings, but there was clearly some tribal diversity mixed in. And, of course, Crystallis was also eyeing on her potential lover. She wasn't much the best person at confronting, and couldn't help but be a little wary. After all, they still needed to get together, and the previous evil-sister crisis had paused that for the time being.

From what Crystal could tell by examining his demeanor, Atlantis in particular looked to be... happy? Possibly excited? "Now why is that?" the cyan dragon briefly questioned to herself, then turned her gaze to face Korramyr and Shine. It wasn't the best idea for the cyan dragon to draw her attention away when there was something important about to be said.

"Well, seems like veryone's here," Korramyr said to himself as he stood from his seat, clearing his throat before speaking loudly for all to hear. "SeaWings, visitors. It has come to my attention recently that, seemingly allied with the dragoness Dusk, Shiningwater's sister and mortal enemy, a corrupt SeaWing has decided he desires to take my throne from me. An assassin of unknown identity attacked me but a few hours previously while we were attempting to apprehend Dusk. Given the circumstances, I want to make a few announcements. Until the assassin is confirmed dead or in SeaWing custody, this palace will be on high alert. The assassin appears to be a sort of SeaWing-EarthWing hybrid, appearing like one of our own but with the ability to terraform whatever he wants at will. You may carry on with your lives as per normal, but be warned: There may be a rebel among you. I also wish to make a very special announcement." He gave a grin as he continued, looking down at Atlantis. "Atlantis. Would you please stand?"

Atlantis carefully listened Korramyr's speech. The description of the intruder exactly fit a dragon that Atlas knew very well. However it was just a coincidence. There were a lot of dragon hybrids around and this criminal was probably one of them. He hoped they would catch the assassin soon. The safety of the Kingdom was already in danger due to Dusk's presence and now there was another powerful dragon helping her. Atlas was so lost in his thoughts that he startled when Korramyr called him.  "Me?" He asked. "Sure!" He answered, trying to act politely and following Korramyr's orders. The seadragon was in truth very excited and his eyes were full of joy. Atlas was also a bit embarassed because all the crowd was looking at him, especially Crystallis.

Shine listened carefully to the King's speech, though she already knew what he was talking about, she didn't know that was his announcement. He attention changed it's course and attached itself to Atlantis, whom Korramyr was calling out. She didn't know his exact intentions, but she had a guess. And it brought a smile to her face. If it's what I think it is, you deserve it, Atlantis.

"Due to recent events, I feel that a co-leader is necessary. Atlantis, you are being promoted to SeaWing Lieutenant. You should know what your duties are already. Just be warned - if you try to rise against me, I will not hesitate to strip you of your rank and have you imprisoned. On a brighter note, let's share," he shot Shine a sort of don't think about it look, continuing to speak with a grin, "Some cake." WIth a snap of the claw, a good twenty SeaWing waitresses came out from around the many pillars of the throne hall, each one carrying platters with cakes and meats and drinks, but mostly cakes. They set them out on the long table, and retreated back towards the kitchen. They'd make sure there was no shortage of food for as long as the party continued, or until everyone had stuffed their bellies to the point their stomachs were bloated.

Shine smiled at Korramyr's not-so-warning words. Called it!
She gave her mate a look as he glared at her and put emphasis on the word "share" before adding the word cake. Her eyes brightened and widened as a bucketload of Seawings came out with food, drink, and cake! Oh so much cake! She grinned widely and swiped her tongue over her mouth, but waited for Korramyr to give to OK to go ahead. Though it tool every drop of willpower she had to stop herself from leaping down and devouring them all.

The cyan dragon nearly fell off her ledge with surprise, and had to tighten her grip to maintain her perch. "Lieutenant? What an honor!" Crystal thought to herself, despite the reason that it was probably given. She would most certainly have to congratulate the seadragon, but before gliding downwards to do so, a new sight caught here eye: the hall's main table was being filled with loads of treats! And cakes, especially cakes. Mmmm...

This settled it. Crystallis had to come down and leave the view behind, despite how nice as it was. With a brief flap of her wings, she gently swooped downwards and landed in the midst of the crowd, ready to dine on the delicacies and socialize.

Atlantis smiled and bowed his head to Korramyr and pronounce solemn words.  "I thank you for the promotion. I promise I'll be loyal to you and to the SeaWings." His voice was sincere, so Atlas loyalty was no discussion. However he gulped when he heard the menace from the king. It sounded to be tyrannical, but Korramyr was probably worried for betrayals after the recent events. There was nothing the king should be worried because Atlas didn't have thirst of power. Atlas simply wanted a safe and quiet life for him, his friends and the SeaWings. However if the King would start to act as a tyrant, then Atlas will rise against Korramyr. It was something that should never happen because Korramyr has proved to be extremely pacifist and very open to listen others. A wise King in other words. Atlas silver eyes brightened at the sight of the cakes. He was tempted to eat all of them before Shine could anticipate the seadragon. He waited for the King's approval to dive into the food. Atlas was very hungry after all the energies spent against Dusk.

"Go ahead Shine. Just don't take it all for yourself." He smiled, looking over at Shine, chuckling at the sight of his lover about to jump out of her hide at the sight of all the cake. "I'll watch from above, I'm not in much a mood for eating. Still dwelling on recent events." He gave her a gentle push towards the scene below if she hadn't already leapt out of the seat to devour every baked good in her sight. He was still curious; who was that male who attacked him at the beach? Where is he, and more importantly, what is he trying to get aside from his head on a platter? He shuddered at the thought. He may be a God but if he bleeds, chances are he can be killed, and last he checked he had a beating heart with blood coursing through his system.

Shine's eyes lit up at the King's nod and she swiped her tongue over lips, leaping down-carefully avoiding stepping on the crowd below-felling a small push from Korramyr brushing her foot. She immediately grabbed the nearest cake and-attempting to look something like the King's mate-munched on it. It didn't taste like one of Korramyr's cakes, but it was still good. A smile crossed her frosting-covered face. She glanced around, searching for Atlantis, and beckoned him upon noticing the new lieutenant. "C'mon! It's open season!" She grinned happily.

Atlantis was already full-immersed in the food, tasting and enjoying different kind of fishes. "Open season? What do you mean?" He asked at Shine before to take a cake and start to eat it.
