You've Got A Friend in Me (Wake)

The dark dragoness had chosen a wonderful day to go flying. The storm that rolled in had unexpectedly grounded her for the night, causing her to be away from her cave and in the open and the idea of being alone in the rogue lands was something she wasn't very keen on. The night went by with no incident, the downpour ending sometime near daybreak, the false dawn casting a grey hue to the sky above her.

As soon as she awoke, she heaved a heavy sigh, the fatigue from little sleep truly weighing down on her but she couldn't just sleep the day away, now could she? With that thought in mind, she stood and stretched, the brush she had claimed as a nest complaining and beginning to rise again, dry compared to their soaked neighbors. The dragoness shook herself off and moved to the very small clearing before her, the sun instantly warming her scales. Sitting, Hildrhilt began her prompt grooming, ridding herself of any moisture that still clung to her scales.

Upon finishing, she swayed her tail through the damp grass, lifting her head to the sky above her. The clouds were still rolling through though a promise of clear skies was eminent as it broke through. She sighed quietly and looked about, unsure of where she was or how far away she was from her cave.

Wake flew quickly through the woods. For once, he was just having fun. It had been a long time since he did this, and it was great. He glided low, before landing in a clearing, and taking a breath. This was nice. Wait.... He smelt something now. Another dragon? The wyvern slowly followed the sent, attempting to find the source of the scent.

At the sound of approaching wing-beats, Hildrhilt turned her head up to the sky in the direction she thought it was coming from, scanning the expanse that the clearing provided through the canopy. When she saw the Wyvern, she immediately thought of the only other Wyvern she had ever met: Atar.

But this one was far too small to be that drake, causing her head to tilt as she observed it flying, truly fascinated by how Wyverns were shaped. As they flew closer, a ping of nerves rang through Hildrhilt's body, her typical antisocial feelings coming forth.

Wake continued to move closer to the scent. He walked slowly, not sure what to expect. He wasn't sure if this was actually a dragon, or some weird monster that could trick a dragon. He sighed a bit after some time, but soon he poked his head through some low lying trees and saw a massive dragon. The smaller dragon quickly pulled his head back in, a bit shocked and not expecting an Earthwing.

Hildrhilt tilted her head as her eyes caught the wyvern’s head poking out of the trees. What was this little one doing? Did he think she could not see him? She swayed her tail before moving forward slowly so as to not startle the much smaller dragon, “Hello there.” She said in a low tone, her voice soft and kind.

Wake heard the voice of dragoness above him. He looked to see the Earthwing. The small Rogue smiled a bit with a nervous chuckle.

"Uh.... Hi. Sorry. Didn't expect to see and Earthwing out here."

Hildrhilt chuckled softly at the nervous tone of the Wyvern, tilting her head a bit before looking about, "Well, that is an understandable concern.
" She said with a smile before looking back to the rogue, "I can say for myself I didn't think I was going to happen upon another today either."

Wake nodded to the Earthwing, smiling back slightly.

"Yeah...." He then heard a twig snap, darting his head in that direction only to see a squirrel. Good. No monsters. "Anyway. Got a name?"
