A slow recovery (Private with Rii and Au)

Rhune groaned as he got awoken by the sunlight getting inside the cave. The green dragon lazily put his wing in front of his face, hoping it would be enough to help him enjoy some more sleep. But it wasn't enough. It was never enough.
Finally giving up, Rhune opened a lazy eye. Green. Oh right he still had his wing in front of his face. He wasn't fully used to his own wings, since he had never been able to use them before being free. Removing his wing from his face, Rhune could finally see the cave entirely. Since he was still recovering, he was still living with the healer, Rii. She was nice and caring, and she had made the most comfortable nest he had ever slept in. And she was wondering was he was so lazy and so hard to get out of bed... Rhune wondered if Au was already awoken. Of course at the beginning Rii had made her best to hide Au from him, but nothing could prevent a motivated hatchling to see what was going on. Rhune liked to see Au, especially when he was happy. There was truly nothing more heart warming than seeing an happy hatchling.
Was Rii here as well? It was likely she was already up and went to do healer things, since it was later than sunrise. In any case, she would probably be back soon. Rhune hoped she would bring the breakfast as well. If there was one thing that could motivate Rhune from waking up, it definitely was breakfast.

That strange dragon was still in his sleeping area!  AuSurath did not understand why it was still here at all.  It was green and big, like the other scary things around the area.  But this scary green thing didn't seem so scary.  So he had snuck away from Rii, and was now sitting and looking at it.  But it was sleeping.  And that was boring.  So he started to rummage through the things in the area, sniffing funny smelling leaves, berries, and other stuff he did not know about.  Hearing something shift, he looked and saw a big wing covering its face, which meant it had woken up.  As it was waking up, he trotted over to it and began to poke the wounds along Rhune's thighs.  "Doe dat hoort?"  He still remembered how Wisp helped others, asking where things hurt by feeling, like poking.  That, however, ended his medical knowledge, so he just kept poking it.

Rii was up and about having left AuSurath in his play area so that she could fix up Rhune's breakfast. She had no idea that the little nightwing had in fact left the play area and headed for the healing den.

Rii was tired after waking up, so she didn't notice anything amiss as she mixed together the larger hunks of meat and vitamin rich herbs together i a separate room from her sleeping area and the healing area.

Rhune removed his wing from his face as he felt something poke him. Looking around, he saw the little hatchling poking his flank, where one of his scars was visible. These had since long healed, but the marking on his scales was still quite visible. They would probably start to disappear once new scales would have grown over the one ones, which was already starting to happening. Every night, a few of his scales was falling and new, slightly darker and way thicker scales had replaced them. So far it was only making him look funny, as he was light green with only a few spots of slightly darker green.
The green dragon had a smile as the hatchling asked him something. It took him a few seconds to understand what he meant, between his lack of practice and the distorted words the hatchling said.
"No, it doesn't hurt... anymore." he gently replied to him.

Watching the dragon lift his wing and look at him, AuSurath stared at Rhune, but kept on poking the scar. He had to make sure it was all fixed and nothing else was wrong, so he just kept poking...and poking....and poking. "Are yoo sher?" he asked, his paw getting a good workout from all of the pokes. AuSurath really had no idea why this dragon was here, he just knew it occupied space. His space. So he would eventually have to defeat it, but for now, he would wait.

Rhune's smile widened as the hatchling insisted, continuing to poke his flank where the scar was. Was he behaving like Rii was doing with her healer job ? He didn't quite remember her poking wounds that much... but he kind of doubted any healer - or anyone for that matter - would poke a wound for so long.
"Yes, I am sure." the green dragon replied to the hatchling.

Rii had walked into the area where she and Au slept to check on him and found the hatchling missing...again.

Anxious about his well being, the bluish female brought the bowl of meat and vitamins along with the other bowl of water quickly into the healing area hoping to get Rhune ready for the day before looking for the little nightwing again. Instead she was stoped by the sight of Au prodding Rhune. She sighed, glad that Au hadn't gone too far away, but her anxiety over his safety didn't go away. Rii still wasn't sure if she could trust Rhune around Au.

AuSurath.. Are being a good young drake? she asked as she waltzed into the den and placed the two bowls before the green dragon. How are your wing's feeling today? We've got to head over to the pools again for a work out whether they hurt or not. I just want to know if I need to massage them before or after the work out. Rii said quickly explaining what Rhune's workout regiment was for today.

His regiment would continue to be swimming until he had the strength for the next step of her recovering plan.

Rii then looked to Au and pet the little nightwing before nuzzling him warmly. You helping me out? hmm? She attempted to gently hug the little hatchling if he didn't move away from her before hand.

Rhune turned his head as he heard a familiar voice. Rii. The green dragon got a wide smile as he saw her bringing the usual two bowls with food and water.
"Hello, Rii. They are... fine. Don't hurt... a lot." he greeted her, answering to her question.
Rhune wasn't minding the schedule at all. He was motivated to train his wings, and the pools were deliciously warm. And he loved when Rii massaged his wings. Rhune's muscles were usually so tensed he needed the healer's expert movements to relax them.
The green dragon immediately began with his breakfast, eager to begin with this day. He was still eating a bit too fast, hardly managing to slow down. It wasn't as bad as when he had arrived, as back then he was more engulfing his food than eating it, but it still was faster than a dragon should. Rhune couldn't help but smile as he saw at the corner of his eye Rii acting with Au.

When Rii came into the area, AuSurath gave her a beaming smile and nodded. He lifted his head into Rii's paw as she pet him, closing his eyes and not resisting at all at being hugged into the fluffy blue abyss of Rii Rii chest. He nodded again when she asked if he was helping her out, doing what he had seen Wisp do as a healer to help others.

Au I want you to help me now okay? Come here. Rii patted at the edge of Rhune's nest and then spread Rhune's wing out so that she could massage it. Then Rii waited for Au to come over so that she could begin the massage and start teaching Au how to help more.

AuSurath, being the oh so good little hatchling that he was, came bounding over to Rii, Rhune's body just a mere obstacle to get over to where Rii was. AuSu landed on Rhune's wing joint before leaping onto the main wing part, then to the side of the nest where he looked up at Rii and wiggled his butt as much as his tail. He felt like such the good little hatchling for obeying Rii.

Very good AuSurath! Next time though remember that crawling over other dragons without their permission is rude and mean. Okay? Rii nuzzles Au then points to the strong muscles on her shoulder where her wing attaches.

Now can you feel my muscles here? Feel how hard they are? Rii opens her wing a bit to let Au crawl up and press at where she was pointing. Press like this to feel. She showed with her one leg (a little awkwardly) how to press on the muscle with her palm instead of her claws. Then waited for Au to do the same.

Rhune chuckled as AuSurath began to climb over him in order to reach Rii. Always the intrepid explorator, this little one... After successfully charting the unknown territory that was Rhune's back, the hatchling slid on the other side, and began to wag his tail. At that moment Rhune couldn't help but playfully poke the young dragon's rear. He then listened as Rii started to explain Au how to massage someone, making like nothing happened.

AuSurath gave a slight sad face at being minorly scolded for crossing the sea of Rhune to get to Rii, before purring at being nuzzled. He yiped as something pokes his rear, causing him to whirl around to face the offender. He gave off a 'ferocious' growl, attempting to scare whatever assaulted his hinny. Once Rii spoke though, his attention immediately went back to what Rii was telling him, and then crawled up on Rii. Near the wing joint, he more or less pounces the muscle to feel it, "leik dis?!" he asked, trying to do what Rii did.

Kinda of like that. She chuckles as he pounces on her shoulder and wing muscle. With less bounce though. She showed him again and then watched Au try it another time.

Now you see how mine feels hard? That means my muscle is healthy and strong. Do the same with Rhune in the same spot on him. Rii then points to the very spot she wanted Au to press against with his paws to feel Rhune's mushy soft muscles in his wings just over the shoulder. Does it feel hard like mine? Or soft? She asks watching again.

Rhune couldn't help but chuckle once again as AuSurath suddenly turned back, growling at him in an attempt to scare the green dragon. The bigger dragon feigned to look startled for a second, before Rii resumed her lecture about how to massage one's wings. His muscles were... soft? Considering how hard it was to move his wings he would have said the opposite. But she was probably right, when she was massaging them he could feel her acting deep into the muscle. The healer's attempt to massage herself to show it to Au was rather comical, though.
As Rii invited the young dragon to feel his wing, the green dragon made himself as flat as possible, extending his wing the farthest he could so it could act as a ramp. He was quite curious about how the smaller dragon would deal with his muscles.

Seeing that Rii was pointing at Rhune again, AuSurath peered over to where she wanted him to feel. Taking a leap from Rii, he ungracefully smacked into Rhune's joint, tumbling before popping back on his feet like nothing even happened. Ht then pranced over to the wing join, and pounced the softer muscle. "Eet nu as haard!!!" he announced, telling the world (or just Rii and Rhune) his discovery of the difference. That imminently brought his attention to his own tiny back, where he completely blanked out forgetting he was on Rhune, and walked in circles with a paw out, trying to feel the muscle on his wing joint, but it kept moving away!!! As his back kept moving away from him, he started moving faster to try and catch it so he could feel it.

(This is so adorable I can't take it(I totally forgot I was on Vrede sorry about that!))  

Rii shook her head gently at Au's energy then watched as he loudly proclaimed how Rhune's muscle was softer. She nodded and smiled. Very very good Au! Then watched as he tried to feel the same place on his own wing just behind the shoulder blade. Unfortunately the little dragon couldn't reach though. He began twirling about on Rhune's wing. Rii grinned and laughed as he continued. She knew that Au would get dizzy at some point, so she held out her front legs and hands/talons to catch Au if he took a misstep or teetered and fell from Rhune's wing. Though she figured Au would just roll down anyway since the male had made his wing flat like a ramp. Au if you don't stop you are going to be sick. Overprotective Rii still felt that her ready arms were needed somehow.

Rhune slightly gritted his teeth as AuSurath suddenly leapt on his wing and started to pounce on the muscle. These actions were slightly painful. The little hatchling sure wasn't as attentive about his muscles as his mother... Soon enough it stopped, only for Rhune to feel some trampling on his back, right between his two wings. He turned his head, surprised to see the hatchling trying to chase his own wing. Rhune let out a chuckle as he understood what was going on. AuSurath was trying to feel his own wing... Actually, the hatchling's movements were massaging the area between his two wings quite well. There the muscles were harder, so it wasn't as sensible as the base of the wings and could easily use the hatchling's trampling. The green dragon continued to watch Au run in circles, waiting to see how it would end.

He was too focused on achieving his own goal of feeling the muscle around his wing to really even hear, much less obey, what Rii was telling him. AuSurath was running in tight circles attempting to get his wing, growling in frustration as he chased it, yet it kept getting away faster than he could go! It was so frustrating! This continued for a couple more seconds until his balance slowly gave, and his feet tangled, ending with him falling on his rump, head spinning. He sat still, head wobbling back and forth before falling backwards into Rii's paws. Blinking repeatedly, he stared at Rii, his skin turning a more pink color as he blushed, embarrassed slightly at falling over.

Rii just smiled when Au fell into her outstretched claws and looked up at her. Unlike her the little nightwings could actually blush, and so it was very easy to tell when he was stressed or embarrassed. She nuzzled him then gently set Au on the floor beside the nest so that he could watch her work with Rhune.

Rhune are you feeling okay? She asked before setting to work on his wings. She kneaded the muscles much like a human kneads bread dough.

Rhune chuckled as AuSurath continued to chase his own wing and visibly got dizzy, falling right into Rii's arms. He had a smile as he saw the serpentine dragon nuzzle the hatchling, and take care of him. This kind of scene was always having some impact on the green dragon's mood - well not that he had anything to bring it down anyway. But just seeing a mother tenderly caring about her child... It was something Rhune never knew, and never expected to be able to witness. A sweet reminder that his previous life was over.
The green dragon snapped out of his thoughts as Rii asked him if he was feeling well. Some day he would have to ask her what she truly meant by that, since a lot of things he could easily cope with weren't okay for her. Like his wings aching a small bit.
"Yes, I'm okay." he replied to her with a smile.
He spread his wings slightly more as Rii positioned herself in order to massage him. Massage! He loved those. And the purr he let out as the dragoness started was a clear indication he was enjoying it.

Being set down and taken out of the spot light, AuSurath's skin slowly turned back to its more neutral gray.  Hearing Rhune start to purr as Rii did something to his back, he got bored and then started walking around Rii's legs a bit.  Deciding that being on the ground was no fun, Au trotted to Rii's hind leg, purposefully staying under Rii so she couldn't see him.  Once reaching the fuzzy blue limb, he nipped at it, and then started tugging on the fur, climbing up it slowly to get onto her back.  He would conqueror mount Rii, and then sit on her head as she did whatever she did with the other dragons. Eager now with a goal, he hopped and grabbed more fur as he kept climbing the limb, not very fast at it yet as he had to take rest breaks to spit out the hair that got in his mouth.

Rii continued to massage the green male ever aware of Au as he began climbing up her body. She didn't mind it at all really, and yet she couldn't help but wince as the hatchling yanked out bits of her fur while trying to climb her. She shivered once as Au hit a particularly ticklish spot on her back then continued upwards. Rii hoped she wouldn't looked horrible after the young nightwing tore out her beautiful hair.

Rhune's purrs filled her ears as Rii worked. A smile set upon her lips as Au made it to the top of her head. Don't fall now Au. It will hurt if you do. She warned him lightly then pressed her palms deep into Rhune's back muscles where the wing muscles attached themselves to the main portion of his body.

Rhune continued to purr while Rii massaged his wings. He really loved how the dragoness pressed on his wing muscles, removing any hardness they had. The green dragon closed his eyes, letting his muscles relax as Rii was working on them. Right now, laying in a comfortable nest, his belly filled and being massaged, Rhune was the closest a dragon ever was from paradise.
He opened his eyes, glancing back as he heard Rii saying something. He soon understood Rii was talking to AuSurath, who was currently climbing on Rii. Rhune let out a chuckle at that scene. He didn't quite know the details, but apart from the difference in color there wasn't any hint that Au was actually adopted. He would have to ask Rii what happened before he met her... but not now. Not when AuSurath was there, and not while Rii was massaging him. There would be other moments to wonder.
