Cheese was walking in the forest, when he came upon a carcass of a deer. ”Ooooh time for Cheese to eat" said Cheese. He ate the deer like a lion eats a gazelle. When he was done, he stood up and resumed walking. Soon Cheese came upon a cave. Cheese, of course, went inside the cave. What Cheese found in the cave was a hatchling that looked half-dead. Cheese poked the hatchling with his tail. Cheese then gently picked the hatchling up. ”Hey little guy, whats your name?" whispered Cheese to the hatchling.

Xephyr's eyes were bloodshot. His scales clung painfully to his bones, as if they were his bones. He was lying on the ground, his wings covering his body for extra warmth. As he heard Cheese approaching, he squeaked and trembled. The Dragon poked Xeph with his tail. He screamed in agony as the Dragon's tail tip merely brushed his flesh. He shivered and found the strength to look up at the Dragon. He wanted to ask who he was, why he was here. But the only thing sphe could do was stare at him hungrily with big, wide, helpless eyes.

Cheese looked into the hatchlings eyes and saw pain. ”Hey dear, its okay, ill help you" said Cheese. He set the hatchling down and went out of the cave to look for herbs. After 30 minutes of foraging, Cheese found all the herbs he needed and went back to the cave. He had a stone bowl of water, healing herbs, and another bowl of water. He added some of the herbs to the smaller bowl and opened the hatchlings mouth and poured the warm water down the hatchlings throat. Then he put the rest of the herbs in the bigger bowl of water and then put the hatchling in the warmer than room temperature. He held the hatchling so his head was above the water. ”There you go little one" said Cheese.

As the Dragon had left, Xephyr shivered. He tried to get up but to no avail. As soon as Cheese returned, he looked up at him again. He watched as Cheese poured the medicinal herbs into a bowl of water. He squirmed as Cheese forced the mixture down him. It tasted horrible but the poor emeciated Hatchling was in no shape to reject it.
Xephyr had fallen asleep as soon as Cheese put him in the warm bath. A small smile appeared on his face.

Cheese turned pink in happiness.When he saw that the hatchling was asleep he grabbed a stone and placed it under the hatchlings head. Then he sat at the entrance of the cave and waited for the hatchling to wake up.

Xephyr's before sickly green and white scales turned a pale shade of blue. As he slept, the small Dragon dreamed of his old family, his family that he had disobeyed. That lead to the most terrible times of his life. As his eyes slowly opened, he paniced whrn he saw the Dragon who had saved him disappeared. He struggled to get out of the bath and ended up thrashing around in it for a few minutes. Eventually, he cried out for help.

When Cheese heard the cry, he stood up immediately and race to Xephyr. He saw that the hatchling was trying to get up, so Cheese picked him up. ”Hey there little one, how are you?" asked Cheese.

Xephyr tried to talk but found that he couldn't. His scales turned a happy shade of pink and grinned when he was picked up. He playfully flailed his legs until he became tired snd let them hsng limp. He then stared into the bigger Dragon's eyes. His tiny wings spread out a little and started to flutter.

Cheese looked at the hatchling and wondered what had happened to his family. Cheese than turned bright pink. He licked the hatchling face. Cheese then laid down to go to sleep with the hatchling next to him.

Xephyr, being the adventurous yet peaceful Dragon he was, seized the oppotunity to go for a walk when Cheese lay down. However, he could barely walk, let alone move his leg. He sat down next to Cheese in defeat and pawed at a stone, unable to sleep.

Cheese woke up thirty minutes later. He looked at the hatchling and saw that it was unable to sleep. So Cheese picked the hatchling up and put him on Cheese’s back. He then walked out of the cave and looked for certain herbs. After finding them he went back to the cave and put the herbs in the water bowl and then put the hatchling in the water. ”There that will allow him to sleep" whispered Cheese. He then laid down again and fell asleep.
