Bonding Of A Hunt (Private Fraya, Ask to join //family//)

The new batch of hatchlings where 6 months old now, this time it was Ark's turn to get the food for the family. Since he hadn't spent much time with Fraya he decided to take her out on a hunt, this would give her more practice and maybe teach her something. As Ark left he den he spoke towards Fraya, "Come on Fray, you can help me get something to eat" he smiled playfully tapping her with his tail. Within a few moments he jumped towards the clear waters and dived into its depths. Waiting for Fraya to follow he poked his head out of the water to see her dive.

Fraya looked up to watch her dad start leaving the den. She was about to lay back down when he told her to come with him. Jumping into action she chased after him and dived into the water. Wiggling her tail in excitement as she swam over to him "what are we gonna get for food Daddy?"
She was tempted to tackle her daddy but she didn't thinking it was better to waiting until after their hunting trip was over before playing. She watch him waiting to see what where he was going to take her to. She was happy since she didn't always get to hang out with daddy.

Continuing to smile and as she got closer to him almost trying to tackle him, nuzzling her snout he replied, "We can try and get some octopus, but anything we can find." splashing her slightly with his paw, "Come on lets go to the reef, I'm sure we can find some there" Turning towards the reef that wasn't to far away he continued to keep an eye on Fraya, so that he didn't lose track of her.

Giggling she splashed him back, before nodding her "okay i shall keep an eye out for them then" she said in her cheerful voice before following after Daddy "to the reef it is". She fell back a bit and grabbed ahold of his tail to entertain herself before they got to the reef. once they were to get closer Fraya would stop playing with her dads tail and focus on hunting, since that was the reason she was out here. Fraya liked the open water, it calmed her even if it was filled with dangers that the land didn't have. She enjoyed it even more when she could be out here playing with someone or with her daddy.

Ark chuckled to himself with her grabbing hold of his tail, playfully swinging it around as he swam. It didn't take long to arrive at the reef, being not to far away from the palace. As he started to slow down he swung his tail round and grabbed Fraya in his paws, starting to tickle her belly he softly spoke "Were here, lets see if you can beat me okay?" smiling he released her from his grasp, giving her a quick nuzzle as he dashed off to find some prey.

Giggling as she chased his tail and even more so when he tickled her for a short moment. She stopped giggling and smiled "you bet i will" she piped up before dashing off towards the reef. She turned her head towards where her daddy had gone before searching the reef around her for something to catch.
Fraya swam closer to the coral eyes searching. When she spotted the legs of a large crab, she moved towards it swiftly but not so fast to disturb it. She went to grab it when she got close enough but ended up with it attached to her nose. Squealing from the surprise of having the crab grab onto her nose she moved away from the reef shaking her nose.

While searching the coral, it wasn't long before he heard a cry coming from where Fraya was. Turning his gaze back he noticed Fray struggling with a large like crab having a tight grasp of her muzzle. Swiftly swimming next to her placing his paw over the crabs claw and her nose keeping it still. Suddenly his powerful jaws crushed the crabs shell, the sudden shock of the crab released the grasp and removed its lock on Fraya's nose. Quickly hugging Fraya he checked over her nose, "Hey you alright? its gone now" he spoke softly, as he gently nuzzled his paw over her nose.

Wide eyed she started to calm down once her daddy had removed the crab from her nose. She hugged him and took a deep breath glad that it was no longer on her nose even if it still hurt a bit "Thank you dadddy, i will be okay in a little bit" she snuggled up against him to get a bit more comfort. Fraya kinda felt a little silly since if she had thought it through and had kept calm; she could have used her water form to make them crab water go, but the shock of being grabbed on the nose in the first place had stunned her.
She huggled her daddy once before pulling away from him "im good now, hey daddy i kinda caught a crab" she said trying to keep the pain that she felt from her nose away from her voice and remain cheerful.
Looking around to see if she could spot something to hunt without large claws "beside i still have to beat daddy"

Smiling from her embrace, he softly replied "Alright take care, this time don't poke your nose in" he chuckled watching her pull away from him, deciding to keep on eye on her, he glanced around for any fish nearby. Spotting a small cluster of tuna close by, choosing to chase after them he swiftly dashed after them, within moments he was within touching distance. Catching two of them within his jaws, pausing for a moment as the other tuna swam away. Smirking he moved the tuna to his tail blade to keep hold of them. Returning to the reef area he spotted Fraya, "Hey how you doing, I've got two so far"

Nodding her head at his comment on not sticking her nose in. Being more careful she swam back down to the reef, searching for something that didn't have any claws. She moved quietly through the water before spotting an octopus. Fraya tensed up before relaxing. Using a burst of speed she grabbed the creature in her jaws, holding onto it s it didn't get away. She had to stop herself my giggling as a couple of its tentacles tickled neck as it tried to escape her clump jaws.
When she heard her daddy she turned around to show him her catch. She didn't say anything cause she thought if she did the octopus would get away on her. She wiggled her tail happily, but anyone could see the effort she put in to make sure that same tail didn't get close to the reef incase another crab wanted to latch onto her. She wondered how she would catch more with her mouth full holding onto her prey.

Smiling at her catch, he replied to her nodding, "Want some help?" swimming next to her he looked her curiously, proud to see her catch. "If you can, finish it then we can put it on my tail" smiling he showed his tail which was currently holding the two previous Tuna. Not wanting to intervene he waited for her response.

Fraya nodded her head and bit down on the creature in her jaws until it no longer moved and took it out of her mouth with her paws to pass it to her daddy "Here you go daddy. i'm gonna go catch some more" She said more determined now that she saw daddy had caught two tuna. She giggled before wagging her tail some more from both happiness and her eagerness to get back to finding more prey she could catch. As long as it didn't have claws, even if she had learned from her experience with the last one.

Smiling he took the octopus placing it on his tail, "Alright good luck" turning to search over the coral he scanned the area, with having not much luck he searched the area nearby, it seemed like most of the prey has gone into hiding. Due to his size this was a problem with his larger body he wasn't able to get into the smaller spots. On the look out he spotted a large marlin not to far away, turning back towards Fraya's direction he couldn't see her, thinking to himself 'She will be alright for a bit...' setting his sights on the large fish he dashed towards it but sadly being spotted it soon panicked trying to avoid Ark's grasp. Using his powers he controlled a strong current blocking the marlin's path, as it was unable to avoid his jaws. crushing it with a swiftly blow he smirked only to place the large fish onto his tail.

She watch daddy swim away from her for only a moment before she dived back down into the water to look for something else that she could show off to her daddy. She noticed most of the sea life around the reef was hiding so she got as close to the reef as she could even swimming between some large groups of coral. She spotted something moving and slowly crept towards it as she wasn't sure of what it was. It seemed to be quite large and she decided it would be best to take on something a bit smaller. She backed away and found some a large groper hiding nearby.
She smiled and she tackled one chomping on its head to stop it from moving so she could leave it and find the other one. She spotted it and chased after it catching it and doing the same as she did with the other fish, only this time she carried it back to where she had left the other one. She smiled at her catch before looking around to see if she could find anything else. She did spot another large crab. After a short internal debate she used her water form to turn her muzzle into water so she didn't end up with with it attached to her again. Once she was close enough she grabbed it with her paws, quickly dropped the water form and impaled it with her teeth making sure it couldn't latch onto her. Forgetting her worries about the large shape she had seen before she squealed in happiness that she had beaten the crab this time and giggled happy with her success
She took the crab back to her two gropers and put it on the pile. She looked around wondering where her daddy was so she could give these to him to take care of so nothing stole it while she was away from her catch.

Taking his time with the large amount of prey on his tail blade, he returned to where Fraya was. Looking around she was nowhere to be found, calling out her name "Fraya?" he glancing around with a worried look, 'Dammit I knew I shouldn't have left her...' shaking his head he continued to look around. Sighing he still was unable to find her, due to her smaller size she could easily be in a smaller area of the coral.

She looked around after gathering a bit more and adding it to her pile. she did start to wonder where her daddy was. She swam around for a bit in the coral for a little while longer, before she felt something was off. She stopped moving and looked around noticing the large shape that wasn't her daddy coming to towards her. Fraya shook a little before swimming quickly back to her catch. She looked around not seeing what ever had been there and yelled out hoping that her daddy would get here before what ever was swimming around looking for her got too close "DADDY I'm here".
After yelling out she knew she hadn't made a good choice but dealt with it anyway. She had pushed her pile of prey into a small overhang and could barely fit the two grouper and the crab, the rest she would just have to hope it didn't get eaten, before trying to look for a place to hide for herself. She saw that large shape coming her way and she panicked but switched to her water form but Fraya knew she could only keep in it up for a few minutes at most at the moment. She didn't move hoping what ever the strange creature that was getting closer to her position that it didn't find her. She just hoped her daddy could find her before she reached the limit of her power.

Ark continuing to look for Fraya when suddenly he heard her cry out , immediately turning towards the sound he spotted a large shark near the coral. Gasping thinking that she was in trouble he dashed over bashing against the shark with his chest. Soon enough the shark realized what it was against and fled the scene. Looking down at the coral he couldn't see Fraya only what seemed to be a pile of caught prey. "Fraya?" he spoke softly trying to spot the hatchling.

She was shaking counting down the time until she knew her powers would stop working. She looked up again to see another large shadow but as it closer she felt relived as she saw it was her daddy. She watched him chase off the other creature, then started to go back to the hidden prey she had caught, before changing back to the original form. She was still shaking but she did her best to smile "Daddy i caught a lot didn't" her voice was shaky and she was still scared from her close encounter with what ever it was that her daddy had chased off. She went to pull out the two fish and the crab but she was still quite shaken and really just wanted to swim to her daddy and hide.

Soon enough she reappeared, smiling towards her he spoke softly, "Nice catch, don't worry hes gone" moving closer to her and the pile of seafood. "I think this might be enough, great job!" smiling he nuzzled her with his paw, noticing that she was shaking slightly. Pulling her in a little closer to comfort her. Taking his time to try to put the rest on his tail blade. Nuzzling her snout he continued "You've done great Fraya, you make a brilliant tracker"

Fraya giggled at daddies praise but she was still a bit shaken up "i don't like the larger sealife Daddy" was all she said before cuddling up to him. She shivered again before smiling at her daddy again. She decided that she needed to work on increasing the time should remain in her water form for, because this event had shown her that it could save her life to be able to remain hidden longer. She let go and swam around so she could sit on her daddies back, since it was one of her favorite places to sit.

Frowning slightly from her fear of the larger sealife, giving her a comforting nuzzle he replied "Ahh don't worry, I will be there for ya, when your older you can beat up as many sharks as you want" he chuckled as he finished up placing the rest of the catch on his tail blade, with it being full it would be best to head back. "Alright Fray, lets head back. Drop this food off then we can play if you want" smiling he started to swim back towards the palace.

When he said that she would be able to deal with the larger creature when she got older "when im older then" she said happily. She watch as he put the last of their catch on his tail, now eager to go home.When he mentioned playing Fraya perked up "it's a deal" she said before swimming back to their home. knowing that the faster they got home the faster she would be able to play.

Smirking from her response, he continued towards the palace, only being an hour since they set off they returned to the den, walking he placed their catch in the corner. Giving the young hatchlings something to eat, soon he was finished and left the den just outside he laid down, waiting for Fraya. Admiring the view he began to think about Aari, missing her and the others a lot he tried to clear his mind. Frowning as he rested his snout on the ground.

She swam about happily eager to play when they got home. Once home they were home Fraya grabbed a small amount of food from what she had caught for herself to eat before looking around. She didn't see her daddy in the den. She giggled having an idea of where he was and sunk outside. She jumped onto his tail before giggling some more "Lets play Daddy", She said while jumping around. Fraya wanted to play and since daddy had promised they would do so.

Smiling as he spotted Fraya, chuckling as she jumped onto his tail. Watching her as she jumped around eagerly he replied "*Chuckle* Take it easy... I'm not getting any younger...." playfully nuzzling her snout, only to drop his snout pretending to be tired. "M...Maybe... later Fray.... I'm tired..." smirking slightly he then started to snore, as his tail playfully batted against her.
