Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
((Takes place after Atlas's return, Gone Missing, and Training.))
((A chance for Shine to help a little bit, meet the replacements, etc.))
Shine sighed heavily, looking down at the stripes on her legs, which had taken on a dim glow. I'm a Full Goddess. It didn't seem like it should be true. That she was going to wake up any second now and help Atlas with the duties of the tribes, train Aari and Adra, go for a swim, feed Corry, tend to her herb garden. She closed her eyes and held them there, before opening them again.
She was still sitting on the balcony, and her stripes were still glowing. She couldn't decide if it was a dream come true, a nightmare, or something between.
She was happy that she was a Goddess and that she had these powers, but it meant her life wasn't going to be normal anymore. Not that it was in the first place, but still. It meant her relationships were going to likely get awkward-she desperately hoped they didn't-and that making new friends would be difficult.
It meant she was going to outlive all her friends.
And that was the reason she was torn between a dream come true and nightmare.
She hadn't moved since the other Gods had found out, taken her someplace she wasn't aloud to tell anyone about, gave her the run down, and then allowed her to return. She was too stunned and nervous-and let me tell you, that's strange-to go into the palace. Everyone already knew. They had found out first, and they all knew the rules.
Full Gods couldn't be leaders or high members of the tribes.
Everyone had looked so shocked and confused. As had she.
She'd be shocked if the entire tribe didn't know by now. Good gossip spread like wildfire.
She looked down as Corry rubbed himself against her forelegs and cast her a hopeful and confused look through his large green eyes. She smiled. He didn't seem bothered by the change. He likely knew the entire time. Or didn't care.
There had been plenty of new dragons-as Atlas had brought them when he returned-and she left it up to him to find a replacement for her.
She still hadn't moved aside from letting Corry crawl up her back and set up a comforting purr not far from her ear.
She wondered if they knew she was out here. What they were going to think. How they would react.
She sighed heavily again, and Corry's purrs grew louder, as though he was trying to comfort her.
She managed a smile, before it disappeared into worry again.

Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
The birds chirped happily around her, flapping their wings as if telling her there was something important to attend to. Opening her wings she shook the water from her body. Sighing as she had wanted to relax in the pool of water longer the female only shook her head and flapped her wings. She wasnt super powerful in flight but she was okay. Sighing she looked over the land, happy at how beautiful it was. Casting her head to the right and to the left she let her orbs on her spines glow as she surrounded herself in a protective bubble of water. She was always afraid of flying now because of her history. Seeing the Seawing palace come to view she saw Shiningwater in all her goddess glory.
Tucking her wings to her sides she dove, landing gracefully on her balcony. Dipping her head in a bow she smiled to the goddess "Hello. You are Shiningwater correct? Goddess of Emotion. I am Arika" she said. She was honestly in awe to be graced in the presence of the female.

Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
Shine started at the sudden voice and turned, expecting dragons to come from the palace, not the shore, and twisted to find a wyvern looking up at her, something Shine wasn't used to, as she was small for a Seawing. Her heightened powers easily picked up the awe the dragoness was feeling, and her own spirits sank slightly She was right. Making new friends was difficult. She managed a smile. "Yes, that's me. Please, call me Shine." She said, her voice almost pleading. Almost. If you looked hard enough, you could hear it. She looked around again, as Corry did notice her change in mood, and his purring grew even louder. "Where is everyone else, and what rank are you, Arika?" She asked in an obvious attempt at her normal self.
Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
Recently a lot of changes have happened to the Seawings, Ark was no longer the lieutenant which allowed him to spend more time with his kids. Also Shine was now a goddess, this did shock Ark since he himself was a semi god. Though mixed feelings of happiness for her left a hole of sadness, since she was a goddess now she couldn't be a leader any more. Not knowing what she was going to do he did worry about the tribe losing their best healer too. Wanting to reassure her, he walked up towards the baloney "Shine you will be a great goddess, though I hope you will visit a lot" he smiled, soon enough a new face turned up. Thinking to himself, 'Must be one of the new seawings from the south' shortly after hearing Shine's question, "I havn't seen Atlas, I'm sure he will turn up"

Shine smiled to Ark as he approached her, and she smiled when he approached her like an old friend, instead of a stranger. "Thanks, Ark. And I'll definitely visit often." She said, smiling genuinely. "Goddess or not, the Seawings are my tribe and home." She replied, before looking around. Ark had already cheered up by acting like he always did. Then again, he was a Semi-God. She wasn't much higher up than he was.
Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
After the incident with the humans, Rayla had discovered her powers. A strange ability that allowed her to change into a human. She hadn't shown her father yet, for she thought it might freak him out. When she had returned home, she had returned to discover that Shiningwater had become a full goddess. This had made Rayla jealous and angry. Why did a dragoness, who hadn't even had god blood in her before, become a dragon goddess of immense power? That made no sense to her. Furious, Rayla had stormed off again, and had decided to swim to her and Thira's secret place. Here she had stayed and thought about stuff until she had felt the need to return. Now that she had calmed down, she could properly congratulate Shine for becoming a goddess.
Walking into the palace, Rayla puffed out her chest, like she usually did when she was around other gods. She sat down, staring at Shine and the new queen of the SeaWings. This also angered her. Rayla, after all, wanted to be leader. She had tried to convince Atlantis and Arkhor to let her be leader, but to no avail. Apparently, she needed to become a guardian first.
When she spotted Shine, she ducked her head a little bit. She was too prideful to actually bow, and this was how Rayla had always behaved. One of the reasons Arkhor didn't take her to Tribal gatherings due to her general disrespect of the ranks.
"Well, I guess you're a goddess now. I'm only gonna say this once, congratulations. So, what can you do as a goddess? Can you do whatever you want? And why did you make that new dragoness the queen? Why didn't you pick me? I am much more capable of being a leader then she is!" said Rayla, completely ignoring the fact that the lieutenant of the SeaWings, and her father, were there. She had always been like this. She sat down, acting like she owned the place, as she stared at Shine with her generally arrogant look.

Ark glared over at Rayla as she entered, soon enough she was complaining about not being made a leader. With a brief roll of his eyes he walked over to her, "Rayla! Your still too young to even have a chance at becoming a leader" with a shake of his head he turned back towards Shine and the others, "Sorry... about this..." with a quick frown towards Ray, "You gona behave now?"

Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
Shine looked over as Rayla entered the picture, and couldn't help but wonder how the trainee would react to Shine's new position. Rayla had-for lack of a better term-not respected the former healer and leader. Which was understandable, considering her heratige and the fact that she was a demi-god herself, but now Shine wondered how she would react now that Shine's position was very much above hers.
A slight head dip.
Which was more than Shine was expecting due to Rayla's pride.
She listened as she was suddenly pelted by questions. She opened her mouth to answer them, and the semi-god next to her answered a few. She smiled, before adding on. You're too young to be leader. You have to prove that you're a good guardian first. And I didn't pick her. You'll have to take that up with Atlantis." She said, smiling as she imagined the tongue lashing he would get. "And as for what I can do, I can't do whatever I want. Even the Gods have rules." A sad smile crossed her face. "Like not be leaders or high-ranked members of the tribe." She shook herself. "I'm the Goddess of Emotion, which means I can change the way you feel right now." She said. "And I can feel how you feel right now." It was true, she could feel the annoyance and pride rolling off the trainee in waves. Possibly envy and resentment as well. She shook her head. She had figured out that too many negative emotions made her head spin, and while this wasn't many, they were pretty strong ones, and she had a small headache. She subconsciously tried to tone down the trainee's emotions. Not change them, but reduce the intensity.

Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
Arika chuckled a bit at her loss to remember to introduce herself with her rank. "I am the Seawing lieutenant" she said with a smile, dipping her head once more. "As for your other question. I dont know." she said, looking around curiously with her wings tucked to her sides. Looking to the side she saw Arkhor, god of the tides. Dipping her head in respect she smiled. "Hello Arkhor, its nice to see you" she says with flick of her tail. Seeing a small dragoness march up like she owned the place Arika growled a bit. "You cannot be queen because of your arrogance. If you continue to act like this you will never be queen" she said, her voice harsh yet soft at the same time.
Turning her silver gaze back to Shiningwater she smiled and looked back at Rayla, narrowing her eyes at her puffed out chest and her inability to bow before the goddess of emotion. Flicking her tail in annoyance like a cat would she re positioned her stance before turning her gaze back upon the goddess.

Shine smiled as the first dragoness told her her rank. "Atlas works fast." She said, smiling at the dragoness. Then she paused and the smile fell. "Guess he doesn't need me." She murmured. Her own emotional aura darkened, not visibly, but the dragon around her would likely feel it. The aura reflected her own most prominant mood, and it affected those nearest to her, with their moods changing slightly, or possibly just noticing the change. She wasn't quite sure how to control this particular power, and wasn't always aware that she was using it. The dragoness looked at her paws, studying the glowing stripes once again.
Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
Smiling as the new lieutenant greeted him, "Nice to see you too" he replied as he glanced back towards Rayla as Arika scolded her. Noticing as Shine's smile dropped as his own feels started to sink, walking to towards Shine he smiled slightly. "Hey you alright?" he asked with a worried look. He guessed that due to her own feelings it was effecting him slightly, "Remember Shine your always welcome her."

((Sorry for late reply. I do want to keep this going though.))
Shine smiled at the Semi-God gratefully. She sighed. "Everything's just...different." She answered, still worried and downcast. "Me being a Goddess complicates things a lot. I'm worried that any relationships with others with just...crumble into them worshiping me." She answered, turning her gaze away. "I just want to stay friends." She answered, meeting his gaze again. "is that too much to ask?" She asked genuinely.

Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
Jakarn had been almost lazily plodding around thinking of what to do next or where to go; he was quite sure he hadn't forgotten anything but, in all fairness, an excellent memory was not something he possessed and he knew it.
He had spent quite a while doing nothing now and was looking for any kind of activity to get involved in and then, luckily for him, he spotted the group of SeaWings. He overheard talk of not wanting friendships to break down due to...Worship? He was unsure about the last word but decided it most be about a dragon of great significance but still thought he might be able to remedy this situation. He recognized many of the dragons though the names seemed to flow out of his head like water and he now was scolding himself for not being able to remember.
Gah! Again?! Must be 'cause I don't know what I should be doing or anything in general. Either way I better not blunder into this situation and end up doing something stupid
He felt a negative emotional aura from one of the dragons and knew he could be getting in over his head and he was positive one of the dragons must be the goddess of emotion though it was somehow possible to forget which one. Nevertheless he felt it was almost his duty to help those in distress and decided to approach the group in an attempt to help.
"Sorry to intrude on your conversation but I overheard some......problems?
He started with a question as he didn't know the context no thanks to his 'helpful' moment of memory loss.
"I don't know exactly what's going on here but a little thing I like to think of if I think my position or another's position could jeopardize our friendship is that just because you now DO something different it doesn't mean you ARE different..
He decided to wait to see if his assumptions had been correct.
If I'm wrong then I AM getting rest my memory is in pieces and I don't like it

Delphin soared down from above, landing right beside the group, he didn't exactly know Jakarn, so instinctively shuffled away from him, before giving a low bow of his head to Shine and Arika, he greeted his family with a smile. "Well, congratulations." Delph said with a smile, rocking awkwardly on his heels as he saw he interrupted a conversation. He simply put a wing around his sister, and began to listen. Awkwardly.

((I want to finish this. ))
Shine looked over curiously as another newcomer made himself known, and she tipped her head, processing what he said for a moment, before smiling gratefully. She was about to reply, when Delphin landed near them and the sight of the trainee acting normal made her smile grow wider, and Corry's purr grew louder as her mood brightened. "Thank you, Delphin, and..." She trailed off as she looked at the newcomer. She hadn't met most of the new dragons, considering she'd been away for a little while.

Re: Old Friends and New Faces (Seawings)
Jakarn paused as what he said was being processed and after it was answered with a smile there were celebrations going on in his head.
Yes! Actually managed to do it right!
Realising that he wasn't known and his name was being asked he slowly calculated what to say even though it was just his name.
"Oh ummmm... Jakarn......Is my name, no need to worry about remembering it all the time. I don't."
His answer was unsure even though it was just his name and he then appeared to stare blankly for a few seconds at nothing in particular before coming back to his senses and realising why the trainee dragon that had appeared was behaving quite awkwardly.
"Oh uhhh sorry if I interrupted anything, just passing by, decided to.......speak...y'know"
He had wrong-footed himself by entering a conversation with dragons he couldn't remember the names of even though that was pretty much every dragon and was hoping the other dragons realised that even though it was quite obvious indeed.

Droplet flew out of the water, diving into her father. She realized Shine was there, and jumped off Arkhor. "Hi! Im Droplet, Ark's Daughter!" Droplet says happily, her gills flaring.

Guryon is flying around and sees a group of seawings. He flies down to the ground and lands. "Hiya everybody" states Guryon. He looks around and sees a tiny hatchling. "How are you doing little one" Guryon says while he leans down to get a better look at the hatchling."Whats your name, mine is Guryon, wanna be friends?" asked Guryon.
