Flying in the Dark (Private with Shadowis)

It was a beautiful night, the stars illuminating the night beautifully. The wind blew gently, swaying the beautiful oak tree's. A roar echoed through the forest. It wasnt an upset roar, it was a happy one. The night was her favorite thing, the one time she could belong. Opening her wings, well her version of wings. Inside her wings you could see the galaxy, the stars. Leaping into the air she began the thing she loved the most, flying. Since it was night her eyes glowed a brighter white, the ability to see in the dark showing. Just for show the female let the kite like shape on her tail glow, casting a white light over some of the tree's as she flew. It was a beautiful night, her white oculars casting over the forest. Tucking her wings to her side she dove, going in the forest and using her small size to dodge the tree's. It was no difference anyway, hitting the trees with her wings wouldnt hurt her. A growl emit from her throat as a deer passed by. She was hungry but it was no use in turning around to hunt it.

Shaking her head she saw a clearing, a small pond by the clearing too. Looking up into the night sky she charged her lightning blast, using her energy to charge an extra powerful one. Opening her mouth she let the black lightning exit her mouth and shoot up into the sky. It was a sign to tell other Nightwing and Skywings that she was here if they wanted to hang out here. Shrugging to herself she laid down, her lights shutting off and her wings dispersing for a moment. In the night she looked like a rock, a black lump on the ground. She wondered if anyone would see her, maybe a special Nightwing like herself could, who could see in the dark.

Shadowis was fying around the NightWings territories without a clear destination. The sky was starry and atmosphere very quiet. His silver scales sparkled under the moon's light, which shone tonight. Shadowis liked to be active at night as the majority of the Nightwings. He noticed another dragon flying not far away, its appearance was unusual. The other NightWing seemed to blend perfectly with the stars, thanks to the white dots. The eyes of Shadowis remained enchanted. The other dragon breathed a black lightning, maybe to take the attention. Shadowis immediately took the opportunity. What he wanted was to find some company. So he went in pursuit of the female. However she suddenly disappeared and there was no trace of her. Shadowis landed confused, looking around. He began to walk, wondering where the other dragon was gone. Being a Nightwing, he could see in the dark. However Shadowis didn't look at his feet and stumbled on the female's tail. "Uh oh!" He exclaimed before losing his balance and tumbling for a few yards. The race ended with a loud thud on the ground. "Ouch!" He exclaimed again.

While she was flying she didnt notice that she had been followed by a male, a Nightwing male to be exact. She hummed to herself softly as she kept herself in her little ball waiting for someone. The small little dragon watched him as he landed, obviously confused as too where she went. A quiet chuckle rumbled in her throat as he looked around, confused. Lashing her tail from side to side once she knew it wasnt obvious enough. Before she could get up he didnt do the thing she was expecting him too.

It was clear she had found someone and he obviously wanted to say hi. As he fell she yelped, getting up quickly and letting her wings reform. Ignoring the slight pain in her tail she walked over. Before she knew it a giggle rose in her throat. It worked. No one who couldnt see in the dark could see her. The female smiled. Turning her attention back to the male she quickly helped by nudging him up. It was also very obvious that she was towered over by him pretty much. "Are you alright?" She asked concerned. She couldn't let one of her tribe get hurt, especially this one. Looking concerned she lit up the kite like part on the end of her tail and flashed it over his body, making sure he didnt get injured in some way.

The silver dragon was a bit dizzy and he didn't listen her question. Instead he replied with enthusiasm. "It was fun!" He exclaimed as he got up on all fours with a happy look, helped from the other dragon. He composed himself and stretched his wings that were a little sore. However the dragon didn't have any injuries. He noticed her tail that flashed on his body. He remained astonished by that. "Fantastic! I'd love to be able to light up like a firefly." He smiled, jealous of her power. He gave her a closer look. It was really a good-looking dragoness, the white dots on her body were sparkling. "Anyway, my name is Shadowis. And you?" He asked, very curious to know the other NightWing.

She starred at the male with amusement in her eyes. He sure was enthusiastic. A giggle emit from her mouth as he got up. Thankfully he wasnt hurt at all, just maybe his wings were tired or sore. She shrugged it off, her eyes tracing over the male. He had dark colored scales, white horns and white spikes. She smiled. "Glad you arent hurt" she said with a giggle. Waving her tail once she shut it off, the light growing very dim but still casting a soft glow across the forest floor.

She blushed slightly and smiled. "I dont know. Its an aquired ability. None of my parents had it" she said faintly remembering her parents before they left her with the Nightwings. The female smiled. "Its nice to meet you Shadowis. I am Whisper" she said her voice growing a bit quiet as if emphasizing her point.

Shadowis listened with curiosity and interest, while he was still admiring her scales that would light up at her command. "A new friend! Very nice!" He exclaimed happily trotting around her. They have only met a few minutes ago, but he was already enjoying her company. She looked to be funny, though she wasn't probably insane like him. He realized to be  bigger than her. So he wasn't the only small dragon in the tribe, alongside Twilight. He listened Whisper's story about her special power. "Wow, it's an amazing ability! So much better than having a invisible friend." He commented. Shadowis was talking about his mysterious special power.

The shadow took a physical form and waved its paw to greet Whisper. Then the shadow disappeared one moment before Shadowis would notice its presence.

The female giggled again, her eyes casting over him once more. His horns and spikes definitely stood out. They were like fins yet they looked sharp at the same time. She wondered if they were sharp. Shaking her head she smiled. "I love new friends!" she exclaimed with a soft giggle. Leaping into the air she let her wings reform  and she circled around him giggling. She felt so happy, finally able to meet a new friend. She hadnt had any friends in a while. Letting her tail light up and she landed and waved it in his face to mess with him.

The female shook her head. "Not really. You can have that friend fight for you. My lights dont do anything other than reveal my presence. The only dangerous thing I could do would be this" she said, charging up a very weak black lightning bolt and shooting it into the air. It wasnt her strongest. Her strongest could burn down three tree's in one stroke. A smile appeared on her face and she let out a surprised gasp as the shadow friend came out. She waved back and knew the male obviously didnt notice. She chuckled a bit and shook her head, her stomach rumbling. "hey you wanna go and hunt something? I am starving" she said and just to prove her point her stomach rumbled again.

Shadowis jumped in the air with a flutter of his wings. He flew around her, grinning. "Well, at least you have a power that let you to appear super-cool." He smiled, still enchanted by the white dots on her scales. They could emit a light that would attract him like a magnet. He was impressed by her ability to breath black lightnings. "Nice! I'd Love to be able to breath something. Whatever is fine. Also confetti." He chuckled. "And I'm not joking." Shadowis smiled. He listened Whisper's idea to hunt. Shadowis wanted to have a snack. "Idea approved!" He exclaimed before to closely approach her. He gave Whisper a friendly nudge on the shouder, already feeling in harmony with her. Then he pulled back playful, like he wanted to provoke her a little. "So, we have two possibilities. The easy way, or the hard way." He explained. "Deer or buffalo." He put a claw under his chin while he was thinking. "Hmm, there's also the fun way. Maybe we could steal a few sheeps or pigs from the nearby human village, though I don't like the wool stuck between my teeth." He shrugged. "So, what is your choice?" He concluded before to finally go quiet and wait for an answer.

The female blushed again and looked at the handsome male. "Thank you so much" she said with a soft smile stuck on her face. Another giggle emit from her mouth. Man this is the most she had laughed in decades. "Well its the mix of my Skywing blood that gave me that ability" she said with a shrug. When he said that she grinned. Finally someone to hunt with. She turned her head while she was nudged, a wicked grin on her face. She nudged him back, grinning like mad. "Hmm such hard decisions. Wanna go steal the pigs from the village. We dont have to eat sheep, I dont like wool in my teeth either" she said with a shake of her head. Reforming her wings she flapped them a bit, making sure she was ready for flight. She loved her wings so much.

Shadowis was liking the other dragon. She looked to be quite mad and funny like him. She was also beatiful. "Wonderful! Let's visit the humans then." He grinned doing a loop in the air, releasing a growl of happiness. Shadowis loved a lot  to steal the humans preys. It was always an adventure to sneak inside the farms, avoiding (or scaring) the dog guards. He was also excited at the idea to hunt with a new friend this time. "Three, two, one... Go!" Shadowis shouted before to leave at decent speed, heading towards the village. He has challenged Whisper to do a race, though he wasn't expecting she would accept. Shadowis liked to race also alone. It was just fun to fly at full speed. He repeatedly flapped his wings to accelerate.

She nodded happily, excited to go exploring with such a handsome male. Truthfully she had never seen a human. She thought they were things covered in tanish colored scales. Leaping into the air she would just follow his lead, knowing that he would probably know which things were which. Hearing his words she smiled and began flapping her wings faster and faster. If he wanted a race he would get one. Managing to catch up to him she grinned at him and kept flying, getting an inch in front of him but falling back to be at the same place as him. It was so fun hanging out with this male, he definitely knew how to have fun. Seeing the human village come into view she looked at Shadowis, not knowing if she should slow down and land near by or go strait toward the village.

Shadowis accelerated in response, attempting to take the lead again. However she was very fast. "You're a rocket!" He complimented the other dragon. Both dragons eventually reached the village. Shadowis started to slow down, feeling satisfied to have raced with her. That was a lot of fun. "Ok, let's become serious now!" He looked down to careful inspect the village. The lights in the houses were all off. "Perfect! The humans are sleeping!" He growled with joy. Shadowis flew towards the nearest farm. He noticed there weren't animals outside. They were probably in the barn. "Hmm.... I bet the pigs are in that building!" He pointed his snout towards a large and tall house. Then Shadowis folded his wings to start a very dangerous nosedrive. "Yahooooo!" He roared in happiness while he was close to hit the ground. At the last moment he spreaded his wings to decelerate, purposely falling inside a big haystack for a soft impact.

The she dragon blushed a bit she nudged him playfully, trying to knock him off balance so she could get the upper hand. She loved racing and because of her competitive nature she would try to win, even though she had no chance. This male had large wings, good for flying. Slowing she took a second for a break and sped up again, flapping her wings rapidly.

Hearing his words she nodded, turning her face to a serious face, her eyes going cold and emotionless. Glancing around at the place she grinned "Awesome!" she said with a soft giggle. She covered her mouth and looked at him. She couldnt keep in her giggles. Glancing at the building she nodded "Lets smash it!" she said with a giggle. Watching him she sighed as they couldnt smash it. Diving just like he did but letting her wings disappear she looked like a dragon who had got its wings cut off.

Pulling up she landed on the haystack she yelped as she fell off, crushing the haystack and tumbling off. Getting up she shook herself off and.

Shadowis come out from the haystack, shaking his body to get rid of the straw. He looked at Whisper, laughing at the scene. She didn't manage to have a good landing, but instead she tumbled off. "Do you know you're funny?" He teased her a little, nudging Whisper's neck with his nose. Shadowis should focus on hunt, but he was distracted as usual. This hunt was probably going to be very long because of the time wasted in games. Anyway Shadowis didn't want to leave the humans soon. He was here to steal a few pigs, but also to have a lot of fun in the farm with Whisper. "Ok, let's be serious now. Really!" Shadowis attempted to focus on the mission, looking at the building. However he wasn't able to concentrate for more than a second and he bursted out laughing. "Sorry." He apologized. "I can't be serious." Shadowis shrugged.

When he laughed she laughed even more. Gazing at herself she laughed at the bits of hay stuck in her spikes. Shaking herself off once more she smiled at him. Blushing she felt his nudge and nuzzled him gently in return. This was turning out to be a blast. She really had not had this much fun with anyone before. "Thank you Shadowis" she said, hoping he couldnt see the color on her cheeks.

Giggling a bit she nodded, trying to keep a straight face. She let out a bit of laughter and nudged his neck. "Well its good your funny" she said, laughing even more.

"It's good we both make a funny couple!" Shadowis joked. He didn't notice that Whisper was blushing. He was busy looking at the building in front of him. However Shadowis startled when she nuzzled him and a chill ran through his body. It was certainly a new emotion for a young dragon like him. His stomach grumbled. He was hungry. "Pigs, I'm arriving!" He giggled cautiously approaching the building's entrance. Shadowis took care to not do any rumour, his step was silent. He could perceive the smells of the animals inside. Their destination was near. He reached the building's entrance. The door was luckily half-open. "Uh! We aren't only funny, but also lucky dragons!" He laughed.

When he said that she blushed even more and let out a small giggle. "I guess we do" she said with another giggle. Thankfully the humans had not woken up after their whole time of fun and Whispers crash landing. She made her wings disappear, making it easier to sneak around. Following him she let her tail swish back and forth in anticipation. It was so fun hunting with him. She hoped to do it a lot more often. Seeing the door open she nodded with a smile and took the leader, smirking at him playfully. All the sudden she was filled with new smells and sights.

Shadowis sneaked inside the structure. He was finally able to smell several animals. They were all good. "Here we are!" Shadowis exclaimed excitedly as he rushed into the first open stable, expecting to find some food. However Shadowis found a oversized bull, which seemed very angry. "Uh-oh!" Shadowis murmured worriedly. The bull snorted and ferociously charged Shadowis, throwing away the dragon. He luckily fell inside a pile of straw. "That was a nice fly!" Shadowis chuckled as he got up to his feet, a bit dizzy. "But a bit painful."

The shadow took a physical form and pointed his snout towards a direction, indicating the correct compartment where they could find the pigs.

Slowly sneaking in after him she  watched as the bull attacked the male. Giggling a bit to herself she sneaked along, the light on her tail illuminating the place for both of them even though she could already see because of her night vision. The bull noticed her because of the light and ran at her, hitting her side with his sharp horns. Whisper growled and used her tail to hit the bull into the wall off the barn. The bull died from the impact and she looked around nervously. Shadowis we should hurry" she said worry clear in her voice. Grabbing the bull in her claws she glanced at the shadow and nodded, heading that way, dragging the bull along with her. Seeing the pigs she nodded to Shadowis "I got the bull. You get some pigs" and waited for him impatiently.


The female was scared. She didn't want the humans seeing her. Making her wings appear she flapped them a bit, making sure the bull hadn't hurt her in anyway. Shutting off her lights she glanced back at Shadowis, standing at the entrance of the barn. Before she could do anything two males ran out to the barn. They screamed in terror and tried to throw sticks at her. Quickly one male ran inside and grabbed a long thing. It exploded with fire in the humans hand. It was obvious it was a bow and stone arrows but Whisper had never seen one before. The arrow hit her chest. It didn't pierce her scales but it still hurt. She roared but didn't want to attack the humans because she knew it would only cause trouble. "Shadowis hurry. I will keep them distracted" she said and growled as another one hit the same spot, piercing the scales and lodging in the dragoness chest. It wasn't deep but it still hurt. Growling she swept the humans off their feet lightly and nodded to Shadowis before taking off into the sky.
