uhhh when I click on the white box that says "CLICK FOR DRAGON CHARACTER CREATION TEMPLATE" it just makes the box bigger and shows a bunch of coding. Is that normal?

Although I'm not a part of the staff, I'd be glad to give you some assistance!
First, I would like to be the first Skywing to welcome you to DRF!
Second, it is indeed normal to see the coding. You just need to copy it into your post. Then, you fill in the information.
Also, if you're feeling a bit confused, don't worry. When I first joined I had a bunch of questions and confusion myself. And now, I'm getting my fourth character app moderated. Don't lose hope!
If you ever need advice on anything, there's usually one of us out there. Or sometimes you have to wait a moment.
I look forwards to seeing you out there, and I hope I helped at least a little bit!

Okay, my bad for wording it that way. There's a link on the front page called "Creation Center". Then there should be another link called "Character Creation". When you click on that, look for the white "New Topic" button, click it, and a blank box should appear. Title it with the name of your character-to-be and then paste the template Baldi gave you into the main box. After that, you just fill in the template! Then a staff member like Baldi will help you get it approved so you can rp with your character.
And that's pretty much the process. If you need to ask some more questions, I'll likely be around the chatbox for a while.
