Cold Nights in Autumn (Open to All)

The twilight hours were freezing, and so was the tiny baby dragon. The full moon shone above in the obsidian sky, stars blinking coldly down at the young orphaned Furutsu. In the dark night his scales seemed dark gray, maybe even a tad maroon. As the first weeks of fall had begun, so did the cold winds. Poor Furutsu was poking around at fruit bushes, trees... There were rabbits hiding in holes and pigeons pecking around, but they must have known that the small dragon was a vegetarian; Furutsu could go up and pet them if he wanted to, but he was really wanting a mouthful of berries. He just hoped the birds had leftovers...

Furutsu froze in his tracks and ducked his head, a chilling wind sweeping over the land. He shuddered. It was so cold... Maybe it will snow soon. And all the plants would die... The small rogue hatchling fanned his tiny wings-- he couldn't fly because they were so scrawny, but he felt like he had to do something while he searched for food. He was cold. And tired. And hungry. Furutsu just wanted to collapse onto the grassy plain and sleep. Maybe he'll find berries in the morning...

**yaaaawwwnnn....**

No... I... That's stupid! Furutsu blinked hard, shaking his head to keep him awake. He needed to find food. If it snowed overnight, he wouldn't have anything. There would be no food for hibernation. He would either have to mooch off meat (which was against his nature, and someone would have to hold him down to do that) or just die from cold and starvation. 'Tsu shook his wings and walked on.

Hinu was tired of being in the icewing territory , and so decided to fly down to the plains that he had seen when tracking some prey down. As he flew he could feel the air hit him in the face. It was a cold air, but to him it was very pleasent, since he was coming from the coldest place in the realm. As he continued to fly he looked down and saw a little dragon shivering in the fields. He swooped around, and started coming in for a landing beside the little hatchling.
